I had an AWESOME Time. Every act was great, ESPECIALLY Jurassic 5. We got to autographs and pictures taken with them. Dilated Peoples, MC Supernatural and DJ Rhettmattic rocked it as well

The Reunion tour was amazing! the best show I have seen in a long time, if you love old school hip hop, and you dig the RAW skills this is the show to see! Don't miss it!

This was a great show. Very unique to be at Red Rocks for a show in the snow and as things worked out it was snowing, which is what I was hoping for. Crowd was great too, didn't see any fights or nonsense, just happy people trying to stay warm. J5 killed as expected and I was particularly happy to see Cut Chemist and Numark cutting the beats live. Bad ASS! My only complaints were the wait time between sets (seemed like it took a long time which when you're standing in pretty cold weather isnt very enjoyable) and that they changed the opener from Panty Raid (as advertised) to Ghostland Observatory. Ghost wasn't bad but I'd have rather seen Panty Raid. Felt a little bait & switchy. Overall, great show, would go again and would reccomend it to others. P.S. - Id suggest people bring a 4 wheel drive as they dont have lots that can be plowed. There were a lot of people looking for help on the way out..

Super Dope show in the middle of the Winter at the coolest venue in the world

This was a fantastic show. Every act was amazing I highly recommend it.

I hate giving this only 2 stars because I love all these guys, but the truth is I probably should have given it 1 star because the sound was that bad. I think maybe the Greek is a tricky place to setup, but it was so bad that we had to just leave after about an hour of being there. Thankfully I got to see some good stuff from Lyrics Born, but I'm so bummed that I didn't get to see J5. Pretty much every new performer that came on stage did not have their mic working for the first 30-60 seconds, so by the time you could hear them, they were in the middle of a verse. Then the mic was turned up too high and the music was almost inaudible. We went to grab a beer, and the line literally moved 6 inches in about 25 minutes (they were pouring beers slower than I have ever seen anyone move), so we finally just cut our losses and bounced. So incredibly disappointed. I was looking forward to this one for a long time.

Wow, what a show. I only expected 4 acts, but there was much more. Here s the complete rundown of who was there from start to finish: DJ Zeph my favorite local DJ and one who inspires me every time I see him. Voted best SF DJ several years in a row and a major presence all over the city for the last 15 yrs. Still holdin it down. Dilated Peoples DJ Shadow Quannum Project with the full crew including Lyrics Born and Blackalicious and Shadow on the decks MC Supernatural Heiroglyphics Jurassic 5 J5 was my favorite. They played about an hour and a half. Loved every second of it. I was down on the floor in front of the stage, but the whole thing was outdoor general admission at the greek theater in Berkeley. The whole scene and crowd was a very positive vibe with lots of dancing and the crowd was extremely thrilled to see these guys performing again after a 7 yr hiatus and you could really feel the love the crowd was giving to them and the love and thanks J5 was giving in return. It was the best hiphop show I ve attended live, actually sound-wise and energy it was even better than when I ve seen KRS if you can believe that. J5 had some crazy fun things they did. Of course they rhymed all the classics with that back and forth emcee ing pioneered by Run DMC. Everything on time and on point. The 2 DJ s cut chemist and Numark did some 2 man DJ cuts and tore it up. At one point Cut Chemist walks out front with a single turntable around his neck with a wooden home made guitar-neck with a controler on it and had some sick rock sounds he started cutting up that were coming out of the spinning record platter. Then he had a similar one that was a like a guitar CD DJ player. Numark had a necklace with about 7 vinyl records attached to it against his body and he would tap the center of each one and it was a freakin drum machine! It was for real too. Sick beats! When I got home I looked it up I found out he made it using a kit called a Makey Makey that connects ordinary things to midi control with alligator clips. The website says you can connect bananas or plates or whatever. Trippy! Then they unveiled the GIANT 8-ft diameter propped up turntable. It was made of wood, but it had lit up controls and was hooked to a real Vestax mixer you could see propped up and the platter spun too. Fully functional!! Not sure how they did it as you could tell the giant needle wasn t touching, but when each of them grabbed that giant wooden record platter and spun back and forth it was scratching in real time. It was freakin dope! I had such a good time, I ALMOST drove down to Santa Barbara last night to see them again. Darn work got in the way.

Best show ever, I've been to the Greek Theater before but never saw a show this good.

The show was incredible. They brought out great local rappers and the energy was amazing. Music is positive, uplifting and smart. Akil the MC also came out and chatted with fans after the show, which was really great!

wish I could press rewind and watch it all over again!

Show started kinda slow with Dilated Peoples. DJ Shadow was off the hook! Lyrics Borne was super fun. Nice special guest appearances. J5 had everyone (who knew the words) singing and rapping along with them. the venue is one of the best anywhere. But the technical crew were off their game. Missing spotlights, shoddy mixing, mike problems, and all around inconsistent technical support. For the superfan, you're gonna love this show. For the casual fan like me, you're gonna get bored. HipHop/Rap shows just aren't all that interesting to watch, and there's only so much musical dynamism you can get from the turntable. DJ Shadow rocked the house with a Bay Area medly, and then supported Bay Area's Lyrics Born. But as the night wore on, I grew tired of the show and left before J5 finished their set. Presumably they came on for encores but I wasn't around for that.

They are great live.Venue was awesome. Fun crowd. Wish I could do it all again.

A fantastic collection of the best Hip hop around with rare reunions (Latryx!) and mad beats (DJ Shadow). Amazed by Lyrics Born and stunned by Jurassic 5. The reason I go to shows is to see that rare, astonishing, surprising performance...and this was one of them. Danced all night Great respect. Thanks.

Ghostland rocked! Snow made the light show glitter. Cold, but everyone was nice and all was a good time.

Jurassic 5 killed it! Ghostland had a good show with their lasers in the snow but nothing compared to Jurassic 5.

Red Rocks was awesome! The parking was easy, leaving went smoothly as well. The staff was great. The cigarette smoke was truly obnoxious. The two opening acts made the night kinda long to be outside for 6 hours and they weren't very good. Jurassic 5 was worth the wait. I stayed until the very end.

Ghostland and Jurassic five were fantastic. It was cold and snowy and an absolute blast--just hafta dress right! Will return next year if the bands are good

Red Rocks is glorious any time of year and there's so spectacular about being there for a snowy winter concert. I went to the first ever Winter on the Rocks with Common and Atmosphere and loved it, so I was very excited to go this year. And Jurassic 5 absolutely delivered. But how to say this except, DEAR GOD, GHOSTLAND OBSERVATORY WAS TERRIBLE. What a weird double billing. Ghostland played first and my friends and I almost considered leaving they were so bad. It's cold up there, so you need acts that deliver. I dearly wish J-5 had been paired with a better act or at least played first so we could leave before Ghostland started screeching at us. Unfortunately, we all agreed that we'll never front the high ticket cost of Winter on the Rocks again unless we're 100% sold on BOTH acts. It's just not worth suffering through 80-90 minutes of junk to get what you came for in 10 degree weather.

A kaleidoscope of lasers inside a snow globe filled with adult-sized children all dancing and smiling in their poofy snow gear. It was overwhelmingly beautiful, and the vibe was so positive. At one point I turned to my fiancée as snow flakes fell on his cheeks and said, people spend thousands of dollars on weddings that will never be this magical. He kissed my cheek, and I said..."so these are my vows." We are going to the courthouse today to make it official. Jurassic 5 was the icing on our wedding cake. Both performances were so amazing.

Unforgettable night. Both Jurassic 5 and ghostland observatory absolutely killed it. The snow falling during most of the show only added to the awesomeness.

I think they should have flip flopped the headliner & opener- jurassic5 seemed a little dated for the Red Rocks crowd. They did do their best & I appreciated that but in my opinion Ghostland was the clear favorite of the night.

Flew from Ausitn to see the Ghostland show at Red Rocks, was not disapointed. The weather combined with the venue made for a super bad ass show that I will never forget. Had no complaints, event staff was helpful, super laid back crowd, plenty of security presence. Thanks winter on the rocks.

I went to 26 red rocks shows this past summer and was super excited they had a winter show. I know it's hard to staff being so cold and with winter conditions. Since their was snow from the day before and snow falling the whole show it was amazing. One of the most fun I have ever had at red rocks. Thanks again red rocks!

J5 was one of my favorite sets of the entire Life Is Beautiful weekend. I cannot believe I got a chance to see them live. These guys are legends! They are true artists and performers. Everything about the show as very enjoyable. They sounds great live and are incredibly interactive with the audience. Akil even jumped off stage after the set and took pictures with all the fans. That a great group of guys!

Great performers, all the best songs, can't say enough great things - go see this show!

Simply the best concert I have ever attended. Lyrics Born killed his set, Jurassic 5 played every single song I hoped for, and the Dilated Peoples set was a pleasant topper. Exceptional lineup with a great follow-through. I look forward to the next Word of Mouth tour.

From the beginning to the end, that's what a real hip hop show is about. Great crowd and the artists certainly fed off of the energy.

Awesome energy, awesome performers - played so many great tracks and they were super interactive with the audience. Cool dudes, love it that they're still killin it old school style. As usual, I showed up late, so I missed dilated peoples - can't may any comments on them!

Incredible show! Beat Junkies, Supernat, Dilated Peoples and of course the legendary J5. Total energy the whole time. Unbelievable.

These guys def need to come back, I would gladly pay more for a ticket if thats what it takes. MC Supernatural was worth the money alone. Got him to spit some lines about Abe Lincoln and then he kept my 5 bucks. Money well spent hahahahahaa.

Thank goodness we arrived early, and were right up front with elbows on the steel barrier. This group has not toured for some time. Man, they were impressive! One of my most memorable shows EVER. Stage AE is a very welcome venue on the Pittsburgh concert scene. My son is a huge Chali 2na fan, and Chali noticed him in the crowd. There was a lot of interaction, which of course made the night incredibly special. What blew me away was when, at the end of the show, they took requests from the crowd. Not every band is able to do that, unrehearsed, as over time they forget their own material. They appeared to have an absolute blast with us, almost as much fun as we had with them!

Best night this year! This is real hip hop. J5's back at it again with a BOOM!

Literally the best hip hop show I've ever seen. Between turntablism, freestyling, and the overall vibe of the MOVEMENT- this show was unforgettable.

Jurassic 5 is always a class act. Always a good show and they keep it clean which is also refreshing at a hip hop show. They took the time after the show to greet fans and sign autographs and did not rush out when they were done.

Loved every moment of the show and thought the performers and artists were excellent! Would definitely go back again next year. DJ Shadow is my all time fave! If there were 50% less pot bubbles floating around the environment I would have been happier, but others around me didn't seem to mind them at all.

J5 is a great band to watch live. This was my 2nd time seeing them live. First, I saw them some years back in San Diego at 4th & B and this second time was even better in Vegas. J5 is worth the money and time.

Jurassic 5 at the Greek Theater in Berkeley was even better than anticipated. It was awesome to see them back after a few years. They still kick ass, and have fun doing it. It was fantastic to see a packed house, and everyone having a great time. I highly recommend everyone and anyone to see Jurassic 5 live.....they won't let you down.

Reunion tour with Dilated Peoples, Jurassic 5 & Supernatural was superb! Supernatural is fantastic live; he has quite the verbal dexterity and charisma to match. DJ Babu brought it that night; as did the rest. The fans loved it. SB Bowl is a great place to watch a show as well, no bad seats in the house, beautiful setting.

This was the first time I've seen these guys perform and I was really impressed! Put on a great show, were interactive and sounded great. You could tell by their performance that they love their fans.

Dialated Peoples had a great stage presence for an opener and Jurassic 5 is amazing live. Jurassic 5 was an amazing experience and so excited to finally get to see them live!

It was a spectacular show with each artist sounding exactly how they are in their album. Definitely true performers. HOWEVER - I'm not sure who was on AV. They definitely did not know how to keep the right performers on the big screens.

The whole night was amazing! So cool to see everybody back together again. I was able to catch them on their first Word of Mouth tour at the HOB. So cool to see them in a huge yet intimate setting. Weather and sound was perfect. Everybody was cool and there was no drama. Not a bad seat in the house!

The venue was nice, the show sounded great. Great home!!

This was one of the best shows I have seen in a long time! Jurassic 5 was just as good as they were 13 years ago when I went to the same show, if not better. Great crowd, favorite venue, overall a really good time. Never saw Supernatural before and i think is the best free flower i have seen live!

J5 was absolutely amazing! We were on our feet dancing for their entire set along with everyone else in the audience. Without a doubt it was the show of the year for us!

J5 and Dilated Peoples killed it. The Greek was a sick venue as well - all around great show, would go again in a heartbeat.
