Blue Ridge Music Festival

Great day over all. Missed the tables and chairs for dining at the food truck caravan area. Wished there had been random tents set up around the area for those who needed shade since umbrellas were not permitted. Not a big crowd all day and into the evening, which was an advantage to those who attended, but I felt bad for the performers. Initially selling two day passes only to the festival seemed to have hurt ticket sales. I recommend next year, keep it to one day. Most frustrating was the one day pass ticket price was dropped to $45 when I paid $70.

The BRMF was the most fun I've had at a concert hands down! Where else would you get to see that many bands play for such a good price? I had premier Pit tickets & it was so worth it. They really were not that expensive & I was so close to each performer! Beer was expensive inside which was to be expected but food & other drinks really were reasonable! This show is a blast! Brad paisley put on an amazing show & is such a fun performer! FGL have a great show too! I found so many other bands to like that I never really heard before. Jared Nieman was so much fun!!

Colt ford really got the show goin then hunter hayes pumped everyone up and little big town finished it up with the best country show i ever seen.

I have always liked LBT but never seen them live! They are so vocally sound and harmonic it is truly beautiful to listen to them. They performed with tremendous energy and gave the crowd a good time!

Enjoyed the whole day of entertainment! Well worth the money and then some!!

Great Concert and Event! Could have just used a few more food vendors and choices.

Long day with lots of no name bands. Made for a very long day.

We have seen Brantley before however he has stepped it up and this concert was awesome. It was like he was reading my mine. He played all of my favorites including "my kind of crazy" and my favorite version with just him and the guitar. That made my night,

This was my first time going, even though it was only the second year it was very organized. I figured there would be a few problems but i didn't see any. The performers where great esp Brantley Gilbert. LOVE LOVE LOVED IT can't wait until next year

The music is great and the bands give a fantastic show. But as Hot as the music can be so is the environment Hot. Be prepared for sunburn and heat exhaustion. There is very little shade and the silver field covering helps cook you further. I came for the music ( not the party in the parking lot) and it was worth the ticket. Just prepare for a hot hot hot day.

The concert was a blast. This was my second year and enjoyed it very much.

It was a great concert series. Had everyone from local band, Old Domion, to the older generation, Travis Tritt and new sensation Brantley Gilbert headlining the show.

The event was amazing. I wish I would have gotten VIP tickets, but all in all it was an amazing concert!!!!!

Even though I ended up having knee surgery 10 days before event, staff was very accommodating with Parking close to Stadium. The Vendors were nice and gave me ice for my knee throughout the day. Awesome entertainment! over all a Great experience and day!

The event was wonderful...I only went for the final 4 acts, but enjoyed the day so much! Everything started on time and the musicians were great. Thomas Rhett and Brantley Gilbert were the best! I will definitely be attending in the future.

My husband and I spent our 8 year anniversary at the show and it was the best anniversary we ever had!

Concert was awesome, loved the last 4 acts. I wasn't as big on the smaller acts to begin with, but they were up-and-coming instead of headliners. It was VERY hot, so make sure to bring your sunscreen!!! Also, the only alcohol they served was Bud Light. If you're not a fan, PLAN AHEAD!!! You can leave the event multiple times up until 4:30PM, and afterwards there is no reentry.

Travis Tritt stole the show! People at the show who sat around me were so nice. Weather could not have been better. All was good for me. Hope you have talent that good next year.

Travis Tritt was the best Brantley Gilbert was great but brought out some people extreme sides and Thomas Rhett and Parmlee and on the was to being great country stars and bands

The music for the money was a good deal; the line up was so-so until the last 3 artists - but still worth the price with just those 3. But they only had two options for beer - Budlight & a local craft beer. Both completely over priced. There was a reflective tarp on the general admission area so everyone was overheated & sunburned! People were having more fun tailgating than participating in the festival - especially until the sun set!

Too many rules and Travis Tritt was not on his game Don't thing i will attend this one again

A well done festival! Lots of entertainment, good selection of food and beverage items, safe, friendly environment.

It was really fun and entertaining. Seating arrangements could have been better. My friends and I got there early to get close to the stage, by 5:00 people were arriving and pushing us out of our spot. But over all it was fun, and I will he returning next year!

The bands were absolutely amazing! They had great energy and enthusiasm! I would do it again definitely. Vendor pricing was very reasonable. Only suggestion would be to improve the intermission music. Definitely need more entertaining songs during intermission!

It was amazing. My wife and I had a blast. We plan on going next year.

The event was fantastic. We bought our tickets online, walked right in the gate when the event opened! The band line up was amazing. The only complaints I have (other than $7 beer) is that the AstroTurf was covered in a silver tarp which sent the temperature of an all day event from the 70s to the 90s and that the potties ran out of toilet paper. The area was clean and the vendors were friendly. The music kind up was absolutely worth all the sun burn and the $7 beers. :)

This was one amazing event. If you did not attend this year I highly recommend you take the opportunity to do so in 2015! The artist this year was awesome...the crowd was amazing. Can't wait to do it again!

Great show for the money planning on attending next year

Everything was great but it would've been nice if there was a foot of shade in the place! It was full sun and super hot out and although there was a sprinkler section, there was no shade unless you want to hangout in the bathroom. It was cleaner than any other festival I've been to and there were all sorts of food/drink options for everyone there! The show was great...kinda spaced out too much so it dragged on during the day...there's no need for 45 min between acts! It could've been over by 7pm if they didn't drag it out so long! No complaints with Thomas Rhett, Travis Tritt, and Brantley Gilbert...awesome!

All the bands were great!! The only thing that was wrong was people smoking everywhere which they weren't suppose too and staff should have done something about it. But other than that it was an unforgettable event!!

Pros: I didnt arrive at the festivel until around 1:30 but getting parking was no problem. The concessions were acessible and fairly priced. The acts were very good. Leaving was easy because I left with a couple songs left on the last act. Cons: Not all the acts did the meet and greet. Early day acts were a little slow. My main gripe was I was over charged 10 bucks for a t-shirt. All in all great day for a great price. Hope for another festivel next year for such a great deal.

Great show, all the performers did not need any hype, they were fantastic.

All of the performances were amazing. Can't wait to see who is there next year.But feel 2 days is to much.

Venue was crappy... Hot tarp on the ground. Only served Bud Light and Vienna Lager. The beer was extremely expensive. The tickets were expensive. No re-entry for all all day festival. Too many rules... No tailgating.

All the artists were great.Charlie Daniels still has it going on(the last time I seen him was 25 yrs. ago)..Brad and FGL really was amazing

Excellent event to attend for the price to have two days of music. With the various artist there is something for everyone at this event. There is something for everyone at this event and as long as the event continues, my family and friends will be there. They provided some great acts this year for the event including; (CDB) Charlie Daniels Band, Jerrod Neiman, (FGL) Florida Georgia Line, and of course Brad Paisley.

The Blue Ridge Music Festival had a good mix of country music artists, a good blend of new and old. The vendors were decent. My biggest complaint though is they were only serving Bud Light for alcohol and you can't bring anything in. Would've been nice to have a margarita or at least some different beers! Loved seeing Jerrod Niemann, Brad Paisley and the Charlie Daniels Band.

Excellent lineup and venue. VIP experience is highly recommended - free water and soft drinks, along with an air conditioned restroom - all right next to the stage!

This was my second year attending the festival and as usual it was an awesome event. The performers kept everyone entertained in spite of the rain.

So loud from where we were sitting, we could not hear the lyrics to the songs.

Horrible Venue! Sale was mis leading tickets purchased read Row & Seat Numbers Guess what no Rows or Seats and you couldn't bring in chairs. The field was covered in a tarp like material and when it rained which it did all day it got slick and you couldn't sit anywhere. Even with the rain they wouldn't let you leave to try and get dry or you couldn't come back. I traveled from Northern VA to this event, was out travel and tickets costs. We left without seeing any of the Bands that we came to see. Big Let Down! Never Again

great festival but the fact that it was 8 hours for 2 days and no re entry was ridiculious! feel bad for early scheduled artists, many fans did not come in until way later in day to see bigger name scheduled bands. the tickets were not cheap so they really should change that policy! just to sell more foods and liquids? ridiculious!

A 2 day Music Festival The music was great! The only issue is once you enter the statium, you are there for good. Doesn't matter what time & the festival starts @ 12pm with the headliner at 8 pm. Too long to sit in the hot sun & purchase all there expensive food and drinks!

What a show. Two days jammed with great artists. Had a blast. Facilities were great. Entertainers were great. Brad Paisley and Charlie Daniels put on the best shows.

Music was absolutely amazing. I was very disappointed in my vip ticket choice however. I am an older adult in my 50's and purchased the vip tickets to have a seat and cover from the sun like last year. This did not happen. I am unable to stand that long and had to utilize the bleachers which is very uncomfortable. I did not want to fight the crowd to stand. In addition, premire tickets were given the same stage access as vip yet they were $50 cheaper. I feel a refund is warrented for the lack of vip treatment. I only give it 3 stars based on my ticket expense and disappointment but tbe music was 5 star and above.

The name lineups were a little odd, the bigger names should've been later on in the day but it seemed to work out nicely. It ducked that it rained half of the concert and there was no where to take shelter, no chance of a refund if it thinderstormed, and no umbrellas were allowed. Tailgating was also not allowed this year and the only alcoholic beverages you could purchase was bud light for $10 a can. However, it was a great weekend and I cannot wait for next year.

I liked the 2 day set-up this year. I however thought the overall turnout was way less than in the past couple of years (for both days). I was almost embarrassed from the lack of attendees on Saturday, especially for Brad Paisley. The food options were way better this year; however, I wish there were more alcoholic beverage options. Yes, I realize this is a country music event, but not all country music fans enjoy beer (or Budlight). I think the event would make an incredible amount of money if they offered wine, craft beers and/or mixed liquor drinks. I also think that potentially offering the 2 day event over a Friday evening and Saturday would be ideal for us working class participants. Overall, I had a great time spending my weekend in Salem and listening to a great line-up of country music artists. I will definitely attend again next year.

I have been to the BRMF for three years now (every year that it's happened) and it continues to get better and better each year! I love the music, the atmosphere, and just about everything that comes along with the BRMF. It is my favorite event of the summer and look forward to it each year! The only suggestion I would make is to keep the VIP ticketholders in the VIP section so that Premium GA ticketholders can have an easier time getting great spots in their section as well. Overall, I love this event and hope to be there again next May!!

Loved this weekend. All the acts were awesome. Everything seemed organized great. Definitely will make this a yearly tradition!

This was my first year attending Blue Ridge. Music acts were very good- I like having the food trucks- nice change of instead of regular food vendors. My only major complaint was that in the VIP area (which I had tickets for), people could have blankets. The VIP area is small - this really should be standing room only. With people and their blankets, it took up twice as much space people really needed, it made it awkward to walk around because people would get mad you were on their "blanket" and when people sat in between acts you were being stepped on or getting beer poured on you because of people above you... I am all for blankets in the GA section or on the lawn but for a smaller VIP area, I don't think it was right.

I was disappointed that the premier seating I purchased was standing, not seats. My ticket said a row and seat number. Won't spend the extra money again. Otherwise, the performers were fantastic!!!! Love Brad!

It was a great line up and they all put on an excellent show. There were lots of good food options ranging from the traditional concert food to healthier options. The parking was easy to get in and out of (we had VIP passes though). On top of that there was lots of space at the venue. The on field layout was interesting but overall not too bad. Good value for your money, even if you need to travel down there. I live in Northern Virginia and so its so much cheaper to go down there for 2 days of concerts and get great tickets and even get a hotel. I really enjoyed the experience and I hope to go again next year!

It was a wonderful event with lots of great music. Swon Brothers up-and-coming. Hope to see them go on to the success they deserve. Charlie Daniels, age 78, smokin' instrumentals on the guitar and fiddle. Paisley Perfect - can't wait to see him again soon. Love his edgy humor. Downside: soooo hotttt....though we would spontaneously combust. VIP tickets get free water and sodas.

Brad was the bomb and Florida Georgia Line was smokin' hot.........

The concert was fantastic! From being right along the stage to the incredible music! Premiere tickets were worth the money, you were just as close as VIP and I got to touch Brad Paisley!

Show was great , venue was perfect. Looking forward to next year already.

The concert was kept orderly, everyone got along that I seen. It was indeed very hot, but thats no one's fault haha! I love the blanket only rule because it makes you feel at home like in your own back yard listening to some music. Vendors were very good. Brantley is awesome live he puts on one hell of a show!! Hope he comes back to BRMF soon!!!!!

This year was my first time at the Blue Ridge Music Festival. All of the bands were really great. The police did a good job of crowd control. All in all it was a great time and I look forward to next years"s festival.

All the bands were great.It was my first concert in Va. and in 25 yrs.It was my daughters first concert ever.The only down fall was it was to hot.But this will be one of the things we will do again.
