Too start, Lita ford and band was just exceptional! Lita is still beautiful as ever! Mr. rock just played his best drums to date and Patrick whaled on the guitar! Marty's bass playing was perfect. Song list was great, would of liked "Back to the cave" and "Poison" but it was an awesome show. Dokken was the bomb! They jammed like there was no tomorrow. Everyone always seems to rip Don's voice, but to me it was perfect! Strong! He also look like he was having fun. Mick, played the drums perfect as usual, he also was having fun. For a smaller crowd, can't believe it wasn't sold out! I don't think many people knew about it. I never heard anything on the radio. Jon Levin and Chris were spot on! Jon Levin is excellent, just blew me away! I'm a George fan, but I didn't miss him this night! It was like a new band. If you have the opportunity to see these guys, it's worth every penny!

This was a great pairing. Both bands put on a fantastic show. Everyone was on their feet the entire night.
What a show! The group was every bit as good as we remembered them. The energy was amazing and we found ourselves feeling 20 years younger. Come back to Penn's Peak again, Dokken. We'll be there!

Both bands sounded pretty good. Even though Warrant has a different frontman due to the death of J. Layne they sounded good and their current frontman was very entertaining. I've see. Dokken a few times over the years and they were really good also. The current guitar player did a nice job but I would really have enjoyed seeing George Lynch again. Overall would definitely recommend seeing both bands. The venue was excellent.

Penn's Peak is a really cool place to see a live band. Warrant and Dokken put on really good shows. It was great how Don joked around with the crowd.
Warrant looks better than I have ever seen them. Amazing! Energy, sound, showmanship. Dokken ? Band instrument music: Awsome! Band visual set up: Awesome Vocals horrible, train wreck, nightmare. Take a page from page from Quiet Riot. Replace your lead singer. (Don Dokken) Don. We don t care about your political views. We came for the music. If you could still sing then we would have stayed past 5 songs. Retire! Glad Warrant was up first and had complete concert time to play.
I went to this concert with an open mind. I really didn't know what to expect of the 2 bands I was going to see. For one, Warrant has a new singer who I felt could never replace Janey Lane. Second, Don Dokken is older than back in the day so I figured his voice may not be as strong as it had once been. I was shocked by how entertaining Warrant was. The new singer doesn't try to replace Lane, but sings the songs his way while still holding onto the feel of them the way we all remember them to be. I was not surprised by Dokken. Don kind of seemed like he didn't want to be there & it seems time & health issues have taken their toll on his voice. He kept walking off of the stage & was experiencing a lot of feedback, which I'm sure was not his fault. Overall, we had a really good time, but I'd like to remember Dokken the band as it once was & not how I saw them on Saturday.
In their dreams, they probably should still be playing. What a waste of my time. I left half way through the show. It was like a bad karaoke show. Their volume was way low. Couldn t hold a tune. No energy. So, so disappointed. We stayed for 7 songs and just couldn t take it anymore. There were others that left the show when we did. Same complaints as us. I should receive a refund.
Penn's Peak my hat goes off to them it is a fantastic place on the mountain with a great view. The concert hall is very nice with seating and standing room too by the stage. The overall concert was fantastic. From the opening act to Warrant to Dokken. All put on a great show. Don still has his voice so do not let anyone say different. As for Warrant they knocked out all the hits even ones that I forgot about. So overall great venue and will go back again for a show or two.,
Don Dokken had no excitement on the stage. He was off key on Alone Again. He seemed to forget the lyrics to some of the songs. Warrant blew them off the stage.
My wife and I were very excited to see Dokken for the first time. I have enjoyed there music for years and have their CDs. I knew walking in that the lead singer was getting older and wasn't expecting the very high range he sang in the past. I was very disappointed to hear him struggling through each note but what really started to bum me out was his constant complaining to the sound guy to turn up his monitors. I play drums in a local cover band in Boston and know about sound. The sound guy had the monitors so high the mics started to feed back every time he stepped towards them. It was like watching someone's grandfather complaining to cover his poor performance. The rest of the band was amazing and though I'm not a warrant fan I was blown away by there performance.

I initially purchased these tickets to see Dokken, really wasn't that interested in Warrant especially without Janie Lane. Boy, was I surprised that new lead singer of Warrant was AMAZING ! They had an amazing set list and it was awesome when Senator Scott Brown joined them on stage. Now this is when the fun ended. Don Dokken came out strong but lost it a few songs in and they had problems with their sound system and at times was unable to hear the guitar. The band however made a great effort for their fans.

The music Sounded Phenomenal We enjoyed all of it ,I can't wait to see them again
The music drove the show. The audience was hungry for some Dokken and the got it. They played all their classics and everyone was into every song. I think the music bright us back to a time we all loved so much.
Good show. Love the small venue. Only issues were the vocals needed to be turned up and the seats further apart. We felt like we were in Coach class on an airplane.
I was blown away with how well Dokken, Warrant and Firehouse sounded! CJ Snare of Firehouse can still hit the high notes like nobody's business. Robert Mason does a great job and is very interactive with the crowd. Dokken did a great job as well. However in my opinion Warrant should've headlined this show. There needs to be more concerts like this at affordable prices. Seeing 3 of many 80's rock bands in one place these days was just an awesome experience. Talk about reminiscent!!
Awesome show. Between L.A. Guns and Dokken. L.A. Guns did I meet and greet in the lobby. They were very friendly my 21 yr old daughter is a HUGE fan and they really showed her a lot of attention after learning that at her age she was such a big fan. They all took tons of pictures and signed autographs for everyone. The show was great we had 8th row seats and had a blast. Dokken did a great show as well. I would recommend seeing this concert.
Dokken was awesome. The crowd was on their feet the entire show. They played some newer and older songs. Will definitely see them again and hope they weren't teasing when they asked the crowd if we would come back to see them if they were back in six months. LA Guns opened. They were great too. Actually traveled to MD to see both of these bands at M3 in May. Definitely grab tickets to see this lineup.
Drove 3 hours to see them so glad I did..don sounded and looked great and john was on fire. Wild mick was there to wasn't expecting him...it was the day before don's birthday. great stories from don got a sexy dance from him also.. stayed after and met the band. they are so nice...didn't play anything off of broken bones...don looked really good for having stomach cancer last year...
First off, let's note that Firehouse has moved on to tour with Warrant and Trixter... SMART MOVE! I was completely embarrassed for Don Dokken. I have a very open mind (especially as a KISS fan) for... senior... rock and rollers. But it is obvious when one should pull the plug and turn in their microphone for a golf cart. I know that there is nothing wrong in cutting back a key or two, but when the crowd is singing the song in a higher octave than the singer... well, I'm not going to go on. Firehouse, on the other hand, were SMOKIN'! I have seen that band many times, and CJ Snare's performance at Hampton Beach was most likely the best that I'd heard yet. That man has some pipes! Bill Leverty can shred ahead of any. (I once introduced him to some friends as the guy that taught Eddie Van Halen to play guitar.) And Mike Foster obviously still has a love for his talent. Let's not forget that bassist Allen McKenzie put on a solid performance, as well. So if you get the chance to check out Firehouse, MAKE IT HAPPEN. I feel bad for a friend in a local band, here in Maine, who is pumped to open for Dokken in Portland. Or maybe I should feel grateful for him. Beyond The Fall has much more talent at this point in music history.
Dokken was awesome, I was so glad to have seen them live. I wish I would have seen more of them in the past. They really did rock the house! The guitar players were jamming, the drummer was all into his music, Don was singing his heart out and smiling. They were ready to please us and they sure did!!!
My girfriend and I went to the show Friday night. It was a great experience all around. We were able to get an excellent spot in the front row. A great crowd was onhand for this one. High energy from all the bands. Even though Dokken was sick, they still put on one hell of a show!
Great to see all four original members playing together again, lets see what the future holds! John sure has improved since I saw him last, has almost all of Georges licks down note for note now...
Great show !!! They played every song i could think of except Dream Warriors. Don couldn't get over how many of us were still out there jammin to his classics after all these years.
Dokken has long been one of my all time favorite bands and I never had the opportunity to see them. They certainly didn't disappoint. I am sure that anyone that knows their music was wondering how Johnny Levin would do replacing George Lynch-- He was absolutely incredible --I think he was better! The way the whole band befriended the crowd and just had fun let everyone there have fun and not feel like the band was just "going through the routine" Absolutely awesome! And you could not see Dokken in a better place than Penn's Peak, a close intimate setting where all the staff was very helpful and polite and the food at Roadies was excellent (I would highly recommend trying it before a show if you didn't)! I would love to see Dokken come back! Thank you to Dokken and Penn's Peak and Roadies for a great night out!
Lita still rocked out at 59. Not my thing per se but....Looks good, sounds good, played hard. Dokken sounds great. Technically on point. Don sounds great. Vocals were clear and clean, still has a unique beautiful voice. However, he either chose or just doesn t have the raw power he once had. He s out of shape and it showed. I get it, I m an old man too. He just didn t have the energy to let loose. The venue is amazing but sound was off for both acts at times. I ve been to other shows here without issue so I m blaming sound guy.
Lita was awesome!!! She totally rocked it and played some songs she typically doesn t play! Disappointed in Dokken!!! Sounded awful! Ended up leaving the show early!!!
Lita sounded great and looked phenomenal!! I would definitely go see her rock it out again!! I really like Dokken, but their performance was not as good as I thought it would be.

All I can say is what happened to Don Dokken's iconic voice? He sounded terrible. I know I saw them in the 80's but for the life of me, I can't remember Don being so docile on stage. He appeared tired, like he didn't want to be there. He kept leaving the stage. Maybe because he has put on a "few" pounds since his youth? At one point Don made the comment how many beautiful women were in the audience. He said he couldn't believe it. What? You think all us women on the mountain have no teeth? What a jerk. He also asked what we do in Big Bear for fun. How shallow. The sound system at The Cave sucked. The house speakers kept cracking. It wasn't like that last time we were there. I won't be seeing Dokken again. Sorry guys.

We are huge fans of Firehouse, so they were our main reason for coming to this show. As usual, they were excellent, maybe best of their recent shows! We'd not seen Warrant with their new lead singer, so we were curious to see how that would be. It was just as awesome as Firehouse--Robert Mason (I think that is his name?) brought tons of energy and they did a wonderful job. My husband was feeling ill, though, so we did not stay for Dokken. It was our first time to see a show at the Genesee Theater--very nice venue, will definitely return for another show there!

Show started late due to sound issues. Opening act cut songs to make time. Warrant sounded awful and sound engineer did nothing to fix. Dokken began with massive sound issues. Guy behind me was belligerent and wouldn't leave me alone. The lady next to me was drunk and kept pushing. Due to how bad the people were and how bad the sound was and the bands performance I wouldn't go back to see these bands or go back to the venue

Firehouse was very good, they put on a good performance. Warrant was way too loud, not sure why the sound people made Warrant louder than the other 2 bands, but it was sometimes hard to tell what they were singing. Don Dokken was hard to hear, didn't sound that good and honestly could have put more thought into what he was wearing - he looked like he had slept in the T-shirt he was wearing. Although, Chris McCarvill sounded real good. Maybe time for 2 of the 3 to give it up.

Dokken and Jack Russell's Great White brought of great night of Rock and Roll to the Effingham Performance Center. Jack Russell's Great White got the crowd warmed up with 8 or 9 classic Great White tunes, and a few from his new CD. Dokken hit the stage around 9:30pm with a nice 90 minute set of classics. I had seen some recent videos of Dokken that weren't that impressive, but Don was on this night. Dokken played all the favorites you would expect.

Wanted to see this band since the 80's, they just never came to a city near me. Thought 30 years later I am going to fulfill my wish, not having too many expectations since they were older as well. Boy was I wrong. Great White was great, seemed like Russell is older when walking, but his voice was good. Don's voice was smooth and on key when he would do complete solos without any music, complete awesome!!!

DANTHELAMAN
Man, is it me or is Don Dokken's voice getting tired? He struggled to hit signature notes, this was immediately apparent with the opening of "Kiss of Death." Not only his voice, but his stage presence had an "air" of arrogance, which coincidentally wasn't backed by any ability to "bring it." A little activity and appearance to be "into" what you are doing would have made up some of the ground lost for the lack of vocal strength. The George Lynch stand in was pretty good. Duped the Lynch sound pretty well but failed to WOW other than an imitation.... but maybe that's what he gets paid to do, imitate. On the flip side, Wild Mick Brown carried the evening with an upbeat "can-do" attitude. Very gracious and humble - like the rock icon that he is. I'm not trying to hate, but I call er like she is. My girl even thought the opener was more entertaining. I won't take it that far, but that's her POV having not grown up with DOKKEN.

I enjoyed the food at The Rose, and the place has a cool vibe going on. First of all, I think the guitarist is smoking hot! He plays great and is a cutie pie too. Don Dokken is now a bleached blonde......or maybe he went all gray? LOL! He could use a little help with vocals; he didn't sound so good. But hey, I still love the band.......ya gotta give them credit for getting out there and touring! Let's hope they release a new record some day soon.

I feel bad for saying this but I have to be honest in my review right? So here goes, well Don's voice is shot. Now perhaps he had the mother of all colds but he was singing the lead about an octave lower than normal. The band itself sounded great, with Mick kicking ass on drums as usual. George is not with the band except for one show coming up. Don was a very nice man who seemed to be enjoying himself and I guess that's all that really matters. After a few beers, you will enjoy yourself as well.

I've seen Dokken 3 times in about 1 1/2 years. M3, Dayton Ohio and the Rocksino. The 1st 2 were outside, we could hear vocals just fine. This one was indoors and I could barely tell Don was there! The only time we could hear him was basically when the band stopped or got quiet! Did not start or end with a big hit. Maybe Don wasn't feeling up to par. Still love them though!!!!

Don Dokken can still bring it, although he can't hit the high notes like he could 30yrs ago. All and all it was a very good show. Dokken the band sounded great and their "new" axe man was almost George Lynch like. The set list was solid, but not spectacular. Could have played Standing on the Outside, off their new Lighting Strikes Again CD, or a few more off Under L & K, Tooth & Nail or Back for the Attack. Came out about 10 minutes late, and only 1 encore, which was disappointing. Loved the Venue. Small, but still had the feel of a bigger place. Seats were very good, and you could buy an ice bucket w 4 beers and bring it in. $7 beers weren't cheap, but I've seen them more.

Firehouse and Warrant for fantastic. Dokken only ok. Venue was too loud for seats and very unorganized.

Great show!! The bands really rocked it!! They all did an amazing job and I'm so glad I got to see them. If you're an 80's hair band lover, go catch these bands!!!

Thank you for a great concert! The bands were great. although the sound was quite off for the Warrant & Dokken. A lot of time in between for set up and they still didn't get it right. Was really surprised to get the call that we won the Fireball Whiskey Guitar, I never win stuff.

Firehouse was awesome, as usual!! They stole the show in my opinion. I've seen them several times and they have never disappointed CJ still has that voice and after all these years he never fails to hit all the high notes!! This crowd never warmed up to Warrant for some reason, and they felt it. But their performance didn't falter. They still rocked the house. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for Don Dokken. He was pleasant and very engaging with the audience. His voice is very smooth. If you did not know who you were listening to, you would probably enjoy the performance. But for those of us who are familiar with that voice of the 80's, it was very disappointing. It was like listening to a watered down version of their greatest hits. I still enjoyed seeing Don live for the first time though.

Firehouse was lights out. Warrant was out of sync on most songs and the singer needs to pay more attention to actually SINGING rather than twirling the mic so much and his hair. Not sure which she um he twirled more. When they finished their songs you could hear crickets chirping... nuff said. Dokken's band ROCKED, always did. However Don is losing his amazing voice... Effort was there and enjoyed the show.

It was our first time seeing all three bands and we enjoyed the entire show. The only complaint being that there were no DOKKEN shirts available and the sizing of others were limited.

Out of the three acts, Dokken was clearly the winner. He has not lost his voice nor his charisma. The band was wonderful as well.

The venue was good, sat in the front row, security was good for the most part keeping crowd back from standing front of us so we could see and enjoy show. Firehouse was dead on, wished they could have played longer. Warrant with new lead singer, wasn't impressed, didn't sound good. Singer was constantly trying to get crowd into show, but it wasn't happening, could tell the crowd just wasn't into their set. Dokken was awesome!! Don Dokken's voice has gotten a lot better since i last seen them. They need George Lynch back!!

The concert was great! Firehouse came on first and they were actually really good. Warrant came on next. They were OK. Nothing great. Janie Lane had died, so his replacement worked hard. Kind of reminded me of Davis Lee Roth, but they were like a 4 out of 10, although they did do Heaven really good though. Then Dokken came out! I was really looking forward to this, but had somewhat reserved expectations as I saw some stuff on You Tube and it didn t really look that great. They were really good!! Not as good as with George Lynch, but really good. The guitar player is Jon Levin who was actually their lawyer. He passed my test with flying colors. Did Kiss of Death really good and they did Too High to fly which was incredible. I was shocked at how good the guitar player actually was taking over for George Lynch. Very impressive. Again, not George Lynch, but pretty close actually. The drummer (Mick Brown) is one of my absolute favorite Rock stars. He was really awesome. He was playing so hard that they had to keep fixing the drums during the show (ha-ha). He is a real character and kept insulting Don Dokken during the show. The Bass player was also really good and I actually met him after the show. His name is Mark Boals and he looked in his 30 s and looked just like Darrell from The Walking Dead . Turns out that he is 56 years old. I felt bad for him as he moved forward on stage right in front of us and fell over the amp pretty hard on his front. But he got up like a trooper and just kept playing. Don Dokken was actually very mellow and nice. Not stuck up like I was worried he would be. Looked pretty much the same as did Mick Brown. He was very appreciative of the crowd and kept thanking everyone for coming out. However, his voice is gone and he was basically kind of talking as opposed to singing, and no yelling like in the Beats of the East album. He also was wearing hearing aids and one came out during the show. Hey, we all get old\u2026\u2026. That's why the 4 rating instead of 5 along with Warrant's average performance

Firehouse opened the show sounded great and got the crowd going. Warrant was on next and lost the crowd boring and just went through the motions. Next was Dokken. Got the crowd into it. Don Dokken sounded better in a long long time. Jon Levin can play better George Lynch then Lynch can these days. Mick Brown kept it all going and Mark Boals vocals are great addition.
