For the first Suburbia music fest, it was pretty good. I also have to give props to the city for directing the traffic, because I had no hassle/traffic getting to and leaving from the parking lot. The morning of the first day, the workers/volunteers at the gate were a bit unorganized stating that my 2 day ticket was only a one day ticket because it scanned on an alleged 1 day scanner. But the box office quickly righted everything for me. The first day was kind of a bust music wise with only a few worth while bands, but day 2 helped make up for that. I'm sure as if it goes on, they'll get more well known acts. I also really liked that the tickets were more affordable then other festivals (ACL, Coachella, SXSW, etc.) But again those festivals have more well known artists. My biggest complaints are that parking was literally a mile away from the festival (if you're from Texas, you know we don't like walking), and there was not a while lot of places to escape the sun unless you tried hide under a small tree sitting in the dirt. All in all the music was good and no sound problems occurred. I discovered some new bands, and I would probably go again next year.

Pros: - Beautiful, spacious setting with three separate areas for the bands. I did not mind the one mile walk from the parking lot to the entrance as some people did who paid $20 for a rickshaw. - Incredible food selection and everything was high quality at a fair price. - Vendors and security officers were all professional and friendly. - Hand washing stations outside the portable toilets was nice to have. - Strong police presence kept most concert goers in line. - Adequate trash cans throughout. Cons: - Not family friendly. One rap band spoke and sang multiple, and repeated words of profanity before the sun went down (maybe 6 ish?) when there were many families with small children present. The lyrics were degrading to women. Droves of people cleared out of that stage area. - No current day, big name band in the line up or even a famous classic band. - $20 parking was one mile away--why so much when we paid for tickets? - Bar line was too long--took 25 min. to get a drink and lines were undefined. $12 for a large beer and $16 for a large mixed drink was outrageous. Mixers were low quality. - Bartenders had inconsistent rules. My husband left our spot to go purchase drinks and they told him only one per person. Later, he was able to buy two. - Not very environmentally friendly. I brought my own insulated beverage cup so my drink would stay cool longer in the heat and so that I would not waste a disposable cup, however, they would not prepare my drink in my cup so I poured it into my cup, threw out the disposable, and drank less than I normally would in protest. - Did not see recycling containers near trash cans. Beer was served in recyclable cans but there was nowhere to recycle. - I purchased two one day passes. There were two entry lines--one for VIP and several non VIP's. We randomly went to the first non VIP line and the lady scanned our tickets and then was alarmed that we had one-day passes and seemed to think we had gone to the wrong line. - No exit and reentry with one-day pass. - Would have preferred that the existing stage at the park have been utilized as it has terraced seating and permanent restrooms. Would have felt like I had gotten some use out of my tax dollars. - Hot time of year for a daytime concert. Most people did not show up until after 6 p.m. when the sun started going down.

The shows were amazeballs! Got to hear some artist I haven't heard of before. Got to hear some of my favorites. The local is prime, very magical fun setting. Had a blast. Took kids. Will be taking kids again next year. The JC Penny tent was a huge hit with kids. A place for shade, games, sitting & chatting. Hope you guys plan on 2015. I can't wait to see it in about 5 years. So fun!!!

Music Festivals are always a favorite of mine, but this one was especially awesome because it was in my backyard!! No travel involved, except a short drive and a short walk. The weather was amazing as well as most of the music.

I thought the event was handled very well, didnt know many of the bands at all (I am a 47) but loved the femmes and 3rd eye blind. parking/buses weren't advertised very well, so it was confusing when we arrived, but there were plenty of buses, little to no waiting at all. beautiful venue! as always, bathrooms ran out of paper early. overall I enjoyed it and would go again provided I knew more of the bands

It was kind of a weird setup actually getting to the park. I got dropped off and walked like 1.5 miles to the main entrance. Upon leaving, the bus setup was good to get to a better area to get a taxi back to Dallas. Overall, seeing Big Gigantic again made it all worth it though

Suburbia was the the most awesome, creative cool festival that I have been to in a long time. I loved all the music acts, and the sound was great! Everyone there got along; I didn't see any fights or public intox or anything of that nature. Really liked how the main stage was situated on a hill so no matter where you threw your blanket down at, or how close you stood to the pit you still had a great seat! There are a few things I would improve on for next year though: 1.) More water filling stations! There was only 1 located on the grounds, and we waited almost 20 minutes to fill up. 2.) More food options! I'm not sure if this was because it was the second day or what, but the food we got was pretty terrible. My fiance ordered a Greek pita sandwich and his lamb was ice cold and the toppings semi warm. My cheeseburger had nacho cheese poured over the top of it, which i wasn't expecting and was kinda grossed out from, plus I paid $10 for the meal and they "ran out of fries, sorry". 3.) Could we shuttle over in something other then school buses next year please? I really appreciated the shuttle bus don't get me wrong, but when it's 95 degrees outside it definitely does not feel (or smell for that matter) good on a super stuffy hot bus. It would have been amazing if they had A/C on the shuttles so we all good have cooled off for a bit. Overall we loved it! Twenty One Pilots and David Guetta rocked the place! I will definitely be back next year!

It was a good festival. But next year please plan for a better solution for water bottle filling. The one source of water was not enough and the water quality was poor (cloudy and dirty looking).

Alabama Shakes was pretty awesome, but they just don't have enough energy. I feel the lineup for Saturday evening should have been on Sunday. Third Eye Blind should have gone on later in the afternoon, because I've seen them play live before and they have a great energy. J. Cole and David Guetta really were awesome. J. Cole was so real on stage and David Guetta just brought the whole venue together. The music was great! I think the shuttle system was great, but for the price of the festival there should have been a lot more going on. Recycle bins, more water stations, programs being handed out, I didn't actually see a merch table....beer was way too expensive. Someone needs to call whoever put together Gentelmen of the Road, b/c that venue was put together perfectly and was well worth the money!! Only $20 more than what I paid for Suburbia.

First time events are always a toss up. The site team had the area very well organized, easy in and out, flowed very smoothly. But, like any first time event the line-up is difficult to pull off to attract a large enough crowd to break-even or profit. I don't believe the overall attendance provided this. ( Again, first time event with no track record.) I must say, had the crowds appeared, the profits alone from the overly expensive food and beverage would have covered all concerned. Second day we curtailed our spending dramatically. First comment, why would you schedule a rap group, Jung Nation, to open a show? Then in the middle of a song, tell them they needed to stop. Schedule or not, don't cut a band off in the middle of a song. Unfortunately the 100 or so at this opening group did not truly get to experience what Jung Nation had to offer. They should have been in the evening and had more time. Rap for brunch does not work. Next, work on getting the electronica/DJ improved. The closing on Sunday, as exciting and bold as it appeared initially turned into a repetitive un-inventive drone. Kept hearing the same song repeated. This was a great way to have ended the show but... My son who is fully into this genre was not impressed, felt it fell short of what could have been experienced. Big Gigantic would have been a far better choice, based on their performance. Given the performance, Twenty One Pilots should have been a closer. Awesome performance! When looking at the two day cards and then experiencing the performances, the second day had the better line-up, but again, nothing earth shattering. If there is a next year, I will be hard pressed to pay $140 plus food/beverage $200 to attend if the line up isn't significantly improved. This is the reason for giving an overall rating of a 3. You have a great opportunity to turn this into a fantastic, high demand, profitable event. Take the organizational success of the events mechanics and get the line-up to match.

The Suburbia Music Festival in Plano was amazing!! The bands were eclectic and spanned a wide variety of musical genres. Oak Point Park was a beautiful and ideal setting, although, more shade would have been nice for the unseasonably hot temperatures. There were hardly any lines for food, drinks, restrooms, etc and the event itself was a huge success. There were some issues with access to water refills early on Saturday but the organizers responded quickly to set up refill station and even had sprinklers turned on to cool the crowds! Overall, Suburbia Music Fest was absolutely incredible and I hope it becomes a staple of the north Texas music scene for many years to come!

Everyone killed it. I was extremely happy with everyone's performance. My favorite ones where Yelawolf, Big Gigantic, and Twenty One Pilots. My only recommendation for next year is more signs. There needed to be more signs directing you toward the correct parking lots and which way each parking was. They also needed more signs directing to the different stages. Drink prices where ridiculous as well.

Wife and I spend 15-20K on shows and festivals every year so we've seen a few great ones and a few shitshows. Suburbia gets an A- for their first crack at it. To avoid verbosity I'll just list pros and cons. Pros: No traffic, no lines, well thought out restroom and bar options, excellent talent without being to big for its first year, easy to walk stage to stage, great VIP viewing areas, close to home (for DFW folk), actually felt like a fest, friendly staff, police present but not felt, drew a great crowd of people - made some new friends, actually saw and spoke with Live Nation's president who was WALKING from stage to stage like everyone else enjoying the shows and checking on operations - can't tell you how huge it is to see 'the man' mixing with the people and stopping to have conversations with folks he didn't know - like me, saw some bands we'd never seen that we will definitely be on the lookout for now Cons: Not very kid friendly - kid zone closed early both days and was kinda lame to start with/no rides, VIP shade area - was none except absolut VIP tents which required an additional VIP lanyard, VIP parking / Taxi/Uber pickup - having to walk through lot D and to Jupiter without sidewalks or street lights on Saturday sucked - allowing Uber or Taxis come down Los Rios and exit the opposite direction of Jupiter would be nice next year, food options were almost all bad, food trucks too far from main attraction, So-Cal Taco truck wasn't there - I own it :-), it's over :-)

We took Uber to the concert from uptown and was told they could not drive us up close to the concerts. We walked for miles through brush, trees and dust. I am very allergic to all of this- by the time we reached the venues I was sneezing coughing runny eyes and nose! The people at the drink stations were rude and the security needed customer service skills. The idea is nice but would never attend in a middle of a dust bowl again!

I wasn't sure how Plano ended up hosting something like a music festival but as soon as I found out I bought the tickets. There were a lot of bands I wasn't familiar with but I love music so I enjoyed them anyway. I loved The Dandy Warhols, Violent Femmes, Slightly Stoopid and David Guetta and was pretty surprised to see them on the lineup. I live so close I was able to walk one day and ride my bike the next. I would love to have Suburbia Fest come back next year! Such a blast!

Everything about the event was perfect. The whole shuttle bus part was very organized and it didn't have to wait for the bus to come. The food trucks and all the food options was amazing. Also the festival was a great location. Also everyone that was their was friendly and it was a nice environment for the whole family. Hopefully the festival continues for next year because I would go again!

Suburbia was well organized and it's a great venue. The grounds would benefit from wetting down a bit before each day and perhaps after closing to help keep the dust and grass damage down. Hope to see this continue as an annual event!

The venue was very nice, lots of space, shade in the tree lines, plenty of port-a-pottys. The music was a variety, I heard some bands that were new to me that I enjoyed. The crowd enthusiasm was hugely palpable during the David Guetta show. What would improve the festival is more stations to refill water bottles. There was exactly one station and the lines were long. To not have more free water available (and to charge $5 for a cold bottle of water instead of something closer to cost ) in the Texas heat is very very money grubbing and I think socially irresponsible on the organizers part.

Great space for a festival. Parking was poorly planned and information not realesed until about a week before the event. $4 for a bottle of water was ridiculous. $9 for a beer, ridiculous. $15 for a BBQ sandwhich, ridiculous. $20 per day to park, ridiculous. If they are going to charge premium prices then they need premium bands. Don't get me wrong, the bands were good but Alabama Shakes isn't exactly a head liner at most music festivals. For the prices they are charging I would expect to have at least one premium band (Coldplay, U2, etc.) or at least Florence & the Machine or Sia. This will not last long if you are charging top dollar prices for low level bands.

For the first year of this event, I think it was a moderate sucess. There is definitely areas to grow including: better parking and drop-off areas, more free water stations, holding the event on a cooler month, camping options mand improved set list. Also, two of the stages were too close to each other. With overlapping sets, you could hear both bands at the same time. Nevertheless, this event has lots of potential.

For this being the first festival for Plano. They pulled it off! Great bands and atmosphere! If I have one criticism, it would be, that they should have made the layout smaller. It was such a long walk uphill to the food and too far to walk for drinks and bathrooms. It just had a layout that was too big.

The inaugural Suburbia Music Fest was overall fun. There were some really good bands on display and plenty of room to get up close to the stage. Holding the event in Texas in May when temperatures can be hot...as it was the entire weekend of the fest was a bummer. April would be a better bet for more pleasant temps. The price on water was $4 for a 12 oz bottle of Dasani and that's just absurd and not right. Not allowing patrons to bring in more than one bottle of water per person is not right. ACL in the past allowed for coolers and this fest should follow suit. More water should be allowed to be brought in! All throughout Saturday there was no MC between bands to direct the crowd to the free water filling station in the park. I noticed Sunday that they brought out an MC to direct people to fill up and stay hydrated...and avoid the $4 bottle of water cost....so that was a good thing to announce. The fest should construct some shading areas for people to take a break in. The staffing of the vendors was terrible. They couldn't count change and the customer service was bad. Probably should hire more experienced staffing. Overall the bands were good and that was the main save for this fest. Having more things to do and see would be great (Gibson guitar tents, art vendors, interactive things,etc.). Adding more creature comforts like shade and lowering the prices of food and drink would be ideal. It was really expensive!

Pros: -Great music, amazing selection of bands. -The stages were well spread out which reduced foot traffic and made for a more enjoyable listening/viewing experience. -Nice selection of food/drink. -The park wasn't crowded at all (as is common with most festivals) so we could relax and enjoy ourselves without being shoved every which-way. -Great value. We bought our two-day tickets for $80 when they first went on sale. We saw about twenty bands so it was well worth it. Cons: -The staff/volunteers could have been trained better. We had some difficulty getting our wristbands even though we had purchased our tickets beforehand. The staff at the information booth could not tell us where anything was. -Only one water bottle per person was allowed in the park. This would have been fine if they had the free water refilling stations that were advertised. However, there were none, so we had to choose between buying $4 bottles of water or leaving the park to get water and coming back. To be fair, they had a makeshift refilling station set up by the second day, but only one, so there was about a thirty minute wait to get water. Bottom Line: I would definitely attend this festival again, assuming they fix the little things from this year (add water stations and train their staff better). All in all I think Suburbia Fest did a great job in their first year.

I'm a person who loves live music, but normally I only like to watch bands I know. Suburbia gave me the opportunity to experience several bands and genres that I never had before. Although Needtobreathe was my highly anticipated favorite, my other favorite performance, Yelawolf, fell on the complete opposite end of the spectrum. Overall, Suburbia was an excellent, well planned event and experience. My only complaint would be the high price of parking $20 when you had to walk such a distance to enter the area.

The venue was great and the bands were amazing!! They had a great mix of bands playing tons of different styles of music. The parking was far but we thought they did a great job with the shuttles. We left at the end of the festival on Sunday with thousands of other people and didn't have a wait to get on the shuttle or get our car out of the parking area. Everything (parking, food, beverages) was on the expensive side but I will definitely be back next year!!

Only got to attend the second day. The bands, on the whole, were very good. Some were great! Blue October is always great. The vocals could have been turned up a bit. Twenty One Pilots gave it all they had and they were amazing! Smallpools was fun. The promoters need to stop putting straw on the ground. With the wind, the allergens in the air, the dirt, it caused major problems with everyone I saw around me. The stages are too far away from one another!!!!

As someone who's attended many music festivals, I had high expectations of Suburbia. I was definitely concerned with the 10 PM end time and I would suggest that although the venue was incredible, a venue outside of Plano could warrant at least a midnight end time. The venue was awesome, except for the massive walking distance and confusing parking situation. I would definitely attend Suburbia next year, i thought the food trucks were a nice touch and the option of bringing lawn chairs was on point.

It was the first year so there were obvious kinks to works out but overall it was an awesome weekend. The location is beautiful and the array of artist kept me entertained both days. The amount of people was just right each day so each stage was reachable and had a good view. My biggest concerns are they will increase attendance and price next year. I would go back next year if I can.

Suburbia Music Fest needs a little help. Suggestions: Bring in some tables/chairs so we could enjoy the great food you had to offer. If it will be is same place next year, plant trees now so we will have shade. It was a hot sauna without any shade and sun beating down at 90 degrees. Allow people to bring in their own water bottle & gatorade. They also need to improve on their musical guests. Volume of stages were an obnoxious loud mess.

Good mix of well known and local bands. Event was well organized with bands playing on time. Wasn't as crowded as other music festivals, but it's just the first year. I look forward to seeing this again.

Although I personally was not familiar with the bands when I went, I loved them and downloaded their music afterward! Three stages were awesome, location was really cool in the woods and hills and everything. Loved the vibe.

Great first year festival! Water stations and extra shade for times between bands would be awesome. Add lighting for those walking up the hill to the adjacent neighborhoods. Provide people that live in nearby homes "come and go" privileges even with single day tickets. Most neighbors were okay with the event, but some are T.O.'d. Consider ending music on Sunday at 9pm as goodwill gesture. Doubt that would hurt the event any and it would help those that live around the area. Add some other activities or vendor areas to provide something to do in between acts. Could have used a little more filtering on some of the rap stages.... not a prude about F-bombs but the liberal use and explicit language was a little strong with certain artists. Just went to other areas, but neighbors might not appreciate expanding their kids vocabulary. All in all, it was a great time and I hope it is an annual event. I will tell my friends to plan on it next year!

Overall, Suburbia was a good experience. I think that it has the potential to be great! This was the year for the festival so I understand they have a lot of kinks to work out! Some of the Pros: -Something for everyone - they had 3 stages. The main stage had bigger acts and was more family friendly. The other two smaller stages had rap and indie rock artist. There was more of a typical "festival" feel at the smaller stages. The large stage was at the bottom of a hill, so it was a great place for blankets and lawn chairs. It had a very laid back vibe. -Artists - I purchased a 1 day ticket and used it on Saturday. I saw all of Midlake, Big Giganitc, Third Eye Blind, and the Alabama Shakes. I also saw part of other shows. The performances were surprisingly good. -Space/Parking - There was plenty of room to move around and it never felt crowded. Same with parking it was $20/vehicle with no hassle. It was about a mile from the parking lot to the actual venue, but it was a really nice walk on a paved sidewalk through a beautiful nature preserve. They also had Pedi caps available for hire. -Location- Easy to find, no traffic, beautiful area! Cons: Drink Prices - Very pricey. Domestic tall boys were $11 Imports and Margs were $13. They also had bottles of wine for sale which could be nice if you are into that sort of thing at an outdoor concert. No Water Filling Stations- I didn't see any filling stations with potable water. This is a big deal, because it was VERY hot during the afternoon. Hopefully they can fix this next year. Website- During the day of the concert the about tab on the website didn't work. This was a problem because it contained info about what you could bring and parking. I downloaded the mobile app hoping it would contain that info, but I couldn't find it there either. Luckily KXT (local radio station) had a summary of everything you needed to know on their website.

I thought the event went off very well. Short lines (although the transaction time was often slow due to computer problems). Staff did a great job keeping the park clean. A little too much hip-hop and rap for my taste.

Oak Point Park is an amazing place to have a Music Festival! It's huge, open, and just beautiful. All the acts of Surburbia were awesome! From Third Eye Blind, Teagan and Sara, to J. Cole and David Guetta. Plus everything in between. Everyone put on a great performance and my friends and I had a blast!

The setup was good and well organized but umbrellas have to be allowed based on no trees.also water stations have to be setup like at acl in Austin Texas. Two of stages were not easily identified. Good bands... and better will come as it gets bigger. I came from Austin and asked several people in Plano about Suburbia and no one knew what I was talking about. ... so better advertising. .... billboard.

I am an avid festival goer. I've been to large festivals like Coachella and very small ones like Breakaway Music Fest. This was a great festival mostly because it's location. The hills and the trees gave it a very unique feel that I haven't gotten anywhere else. The stages were far apart and there was plenty of room to sit or stand anywhere. Good names for the first event too. My concerns however, are as follows: #1 There absolutely has to be better access to free water filling. One garden hose is not enough and the water quality was questionable. People need free clean water if they are to be outside dancing and walking all day. #2 Parking. The event's price itself was enough to allow free parking. $20 for parking on top of the ticket price just seems like you're trying to weasel more money out of the people. Many found that annoying and rather insulting.

It was a great atmosphere! Well spread apart, the stages were. And it got a little buggy by the main stage, but only if you sat down. Other stages were bug free when we sat on our towels. I absolutely had the best time!

Suburbia Music Festival was an incredible oasis in the middle of a natre preserve. Definitely an unexpected gem. Plenty of good local food and well organized stage setup - three unique elevated opportunities to view music. Key improvements for future years would be putting more into the lineup for more up and comers and headliners, making sure the supply of drinking water is well-supported, and last, be prepared for $20 minimum parking and a long walk from the lots.

Loved every bit of it. Plano is my hometown and could not miss a festival of this caliber in my backyard. The only recommendations I have are to hopefully make next year a little bit better, but are mostly general things... 1. Water. Multiple water stations are a must have for a festival in Texas. It's hot. And people will only pay 4$ for a bottle of water until a certain point. Sell them for 2$? I'd buy them all day. The sprinklers were a life saver. I don't know if it was on purpose, but they were awesome to have in the middle of the day. As was the water truck that came and just sprayed water. Water water water! 2. Portapottys in the parking lot. You dont need 57 of them. Just 2. A mile to the venue and a mile back for my mom was pretty far to have to hold it. Just convenient. 3. Shirts with the actual logo on them! I bought one because I had to, but one with the actual logo of the festival would have been cool to have. 4. The beach balls were awesome! definitely a good idea with those. 5. Delay towers in the main stage? not sure if its large enough for it, but with larger acts next year it could maybe help? Overall, loved the lineup for the first year. Loved the layout with the other 2 stages somewhat hidden between the trees. Awesome time. Can't wait until next year...

I really enjoyed the variety of acts that were at the festival. Marketing for the event could have been better. Definitely need to correct the lack of water issue. Shouldn't have to pay for bottled water in Texas heat. Would also like healthier food options. Site was great for this type of event. Really liked that the main stage was at the bottom of a hill so that everyone could see.

This was the first year for Suburbia Music Festival. It was about time North Texas got it's own music festival. The line up was great and all the artists were great! Hopefully this festival grows and grows and becomes something like Coachella where people from all around the country travel here to attend.

I would like to start off with the things that Suburbia did well, but I want to mention that my 15-year old daughter spent 90 minutes in the medical trailer getting IV fluids...I'll get back to that later. First, I would like to say that I loved the festival. I think Suburbia and Plano got a lot of things right and I really hope this comes back year after year to come. The venue is awesome, perfect set up for the multiple stages. Getting in and out was easy...good planning on the part of the city of Plano with extra police to direct traffic. One way to improve traffic would be to allow those who got there the earliest to park the closest (we were in lot C), not vice versa. And a bit lower pricing for parking wouldn't hurt ($10 at Edgefest, by comparison). Also, the walk to the venue is long enough....next year, think about putting the entrance somewhere closer. But I did like that you could hire a rickshaw, nice touch. Next, it is a very small thing, but...We really wanted to keep our ticket stubs. We save them for scrapbooks and I actually paid extra to have physical tickets mailed to my house, so I couldn't quite understand why you couldn't just tear or punch them and let us keep them. For the best thing you did.....The restrooms were AWESOME for portables, always cleaned and well stocked, even the handwashing stations were always full with supplies.Trash was always collected quickly, although I would have liked to see a LOT more recycling bins, especially with the number of water bottles that were being thrown out. The food trucks and vendors were also a great variety, some with better pricing than others. And lastly, I must say (from personal experience) that the festival did a great job having plenty of fire department paramedics on hand...and it's a good thing too, since it was so unseasonably hot and there was so little shade and water refill stations. My daughter actually suffered from heat stroke on Saturday just before 3 PM, not even 90 minutes after we arrived. She had to be evacuated from the stage by three firemen, it took three to carry her small frame because she was completely unconscious and dead weight. She was gray-pale and convulsing. So I say this with all sincerity...You must, must, MUST provide more shade next year, especially near the main stage. Please consider either misters, fans or both. And please, please, please have numerous water filling stations.

I really had my doubts about this show but it was pulled off almost perfect. Having been to many festivals across the country this shows already ahead of others that have been going on for years. They reacted quickly for the need of a water refill station and allowing water and camel bak in with water. They could have laid out VIP a little different but other than that it was a great venue. Hope they have more DJ's and better bands next year.

Purchased the 1 day pass to this 2 day event. Went Sunday. Whole event was very well managed. Easy parking, very fast and efficient bus to venue. Tons of bathrooms, food vendors, drinks vendors, bars, merchandise. 3 well spaced stages with overlapping music. Nicely permissive on bringing in camp chairs, umbrellas, sealed water. Very efficient busing back to parking after event ended. Great lineup. I really hope this event happens again next year with the same quality.

The event was absolutely amazing! I got the weekend pass which I would HIGHLY recommend. The single-day passes do not allow you to come-and-go as you please which is important to me because I don't like the heavy, greasy food served. Also, just know ahead of time that parking is CASH ONLY, even though it isn't posted on the website. The only complaint I have is that if you purchase a parking pass, it doesn't cover the entire day. So, if you leave for lunch, then you'll have to pay an additional $20 to park when you come back unless you walk somewhere. However, there were plenty of yummy restaurants within walking distance. This is what we chose to do.

This was a nice first-time major music festival. However, it was hot during this first weekend of May. I thought it would have been a major act of goodwill if bottled water had only been 1/2 of its $4.00 for 20 oz price. My other drawback is that I think 3 stages was a tight fit for the size of venue. Primarily, the Meadow stage and Cedar Room stages had a great deal of bleed if you were not standing directly in front of the stages. This was quite annoying while watching the Violent Femmes, yet hearing the other act between songs. Perhaps, next year they'll lower the volume of the Cedar Room stage-- they could also lower the Meadow since it was the single loudest festival stage I've ever heard while the Alabama Shakes performed.

The Dandy Warhols were great! Peter played 5+ guitars. Zia shed her hat to let her hair fly in the wind of a blowing fan. She also played bass. Fathead and Zia wandered the crowd and grounds before the show. Courtney gave the crowd some fun attitude directed toward shouts for requested favorite songs. Their sound was great. Wish they had encored. I stood 2nd row from stage (didn't want to lean on the rail). The weather was beautiful. Thank you Courtney for a wonderful gig! They should have been closing on main stage because they are the best band at this festival.

The park is extremely clean and the temperature wasn't too warm yet. The bands were pretty good and well known. I loved how they sold band merchandise!
