The Fixx

The show was fantastic. The band played for 90 minutes and sounded great. It was great to hear a band sound that good after 30 years together and not miss a beat.

The Fixx have always been a favorite of mine. I had never seen them live and I must say they gave one of the best shows I have ever seen! It's a shame to think that, if it had not been for U2, these guys would have been the most popular and influential band of the 80's and beyond (Trent Reznor and bands like the Killers have stolen just about every sound they used). What is most surprising and a little disappointing is that these guys put on such a great show and were only fetching $20 a ticket. They definitely deserve more! I really hope this review convinces you to check out their albums again and catch them the next time they come around.

Just fantastic all around. The band sounds great in every way. Cy is a great showman with excellent vocals, Jamie's guitar is always right on and made me think of david Gilmour at times, Ruperts keyboards outstanding, of course the bass and drums were right on... The Hilton Theater is a very cool place to see a show, small and intimate..the band came out for a meet and greet afterward that made the show even more memorable. They sound even better than I remember them way back when and some of the new songs I never heard were outreagous and current.

The Fixx' story is still the same.....they've written so many meaningful songs over the years, that their fans love and can relate to, and they love playing them live for their fans. It was great to see the band and we got to meet them after the show. They signed everyone's stuff and let people take pictures if they had a camera. The venue was small and the atmosphere was great. I'd go back. Can't wait to see the Fixx in the future.
