The lead singer from cage the elephant had to have been drunk or on drugs! We left early and didn't see Deathcab for Cutie. X ambassadors was good, Alabama shakes not as much, everyone else was great!

This concert was an amazing bunch of bands, but it was literally so loud that I couldn't understand a word of any of the songs because of the distortion and level of the instruments above the vocals. It was very disappointing when I didn't know many of the songs and couldn't even appreciate them because I couldn't understand what they were about. When Mumford took the stage it all changed. Not only is their music more mellow, thus less vocal interference, but they ruled the stage in ever way - musically, personality, light show etc. It was worth all the ear-killing 6 hours before just for them. My ears are literally still ringing since that concert.... Not even kidding. Close second was Foster the People. I really enjoyed their show as well.

Great line up of bands I knew and loved and of bands I'd never heard and know listen to all the time. I'd never heard Grouplove before but they put on such a fantastic show I bought their album soon after. Cage the Elephant was the best by far. I only wish I was closer to the stage when Matt Shultz dove of almost 10 times!

Temper trap rocked, Cake rocked, Jimmy Eat World rocked harder, the black keys rocked my friggen socks off. They were soooooooo good it was amazing that two guys can rock as hard or harder than a full group. The last band The Broken Bells were too mellow to be at the end of a 6 hour concert they should have been in the beginning. They were good just too slow everyone left and I was too tired to stay also. You cant really follow The Black Keys they r too good. Overall a great concert.

Okay, to be honest, had a great time. Jimmy Eat World is not my thing, but I understand why they're there. But can someone explain to me why Broken Bells is a good choice to headline? Same stagnant stuff across the whole album and in concert. Also, who was in charge of the music between sets? Also, I thought The End was a radio station? You guys played the same 10 songs over and over throughout the night with a couple new ones mixed in. And do I really need to hear Cake, Black Keys, and Broken Bells over your loudspeakers while you're setting up for other bands when they're coming out later in the night.

I have been to tons of concerts, and this was the best I've ever seen. My goodness. Deck The Hall Ball 2011 was absolutely stunning. The guy from Young the Giant is an amazing singer, Matt from Cage the Elephant broke the "no crowd surfing" rule a couple of times, Foster the People put on one of the most entertaining shows of my life, and Mumford & Sons literally brought me to tears they were so magnificent. I have to see Foster the People again. I have to! Death Cab for Cutie was boring, but they were the only band that didn't blow me away.

After previously being disappointed at former Deck the Hall Ball concerts, 2011 does not disappoint. From small bands like young the giant to large bands like Death Cab for Cutie, the concert was flat out amazing. Foster the People rocked the stage with moving and showy behaviors that got the whole audience singing the chorus to "Pumped up kicks" as he stood on top of an amp. Cage the Elephant broke new boundaries of entertainment by crowd surfing 3 times and once even standing up while crowd surfing! Their wacky and off the wall behavior was enjoyed by all. Death Cab for Cutie took the stage with triumphant and famous songs with hilarious banter in between by band members. Then as the finale, Mumford & Sons destroyed the audience with anthemic pleasant songs that excited everyone. All in all, it was one of the best concerts of my life and I'll remember it for many years to come.

I loved nearly every minute of DTHB! From being introduced to the very impressive Grouplove and Two Door Cinema Club, to the satisfying performance by Young the Giant, the great improvisation by Foster the People, to the electrifying Cage the Elephant, and finally the unforgettable show-stoppers Mumford and Sons! :D The only exception of this amazing show was unfortunately Death Cab, since I'm not a big fan of their music and it didn't flow well with the other acts. Nothing against their professionalism and skills though! All in all, I loved it.

This was my first Deck the Hall Ball, though I've lived with in 2 hours of Seattle all of my life, I don't go to many shows because frankly I can think of a thousand better ways to spend the money most of the time. But when they said the Black Keys would be playing, it sealed the deal. Dan Auerbach and Pat Carney were at the top of their game. I've seen Tool, Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews, Jane's Addiction, I can keep going...and they were right up there. I like how they changed up the tempo and everyone seemed to be completely enveloped in their basic and primal and wonderful and speak-to-my-soul sound. I've vowed to see them as long as they're with in 200 miles of my house...it's worth it!

Let me start by saying that I've been to Deck The Hall Ball in the past, it's always been a fun show, if only a little bit drawn out due to the number of acts planned, and stage transitions required for those artists. That being said, the quality of the performances always outweighed the time spent at the event, usually culminating in a great couple of final shows. Now, at DTHB25 this was not the case. Only one band actually put on an engaging performance that was acceptable for the insanely expensive tickets (over $100 per person this year). The honor of best performance goes to 'The Lumineers' for certain, as the engaged with the crowd and played a set worthy of a festival setting like this. Personally, I went to see one of my all-time favorite bands - 'The Killers' - unfortunately they put on a really crummy & rushed show that felt disingenuous. They didn't even stick around long enough to play an encore, barely clocking in at just over an hour for their set, despite being the headliners. Key Arena was a mess, as usual. The only stand-out good thing was they have managed to clean up the surrounding area & grounds enough to make the arena look nice, but food, drinks, alcohol are still insanely over priced and not worth your time or hard earned cash. Bathrooms were messy and looked relatively unkempt. They can pay an usher to stand in every aisle (who don't even bother to check tickets, or acknowledge you) but their janitorial staff clearly got the night off. I'd recommend skipping this event in the future unless changes are made.

I was pleasantly surprised how fun it was to hear so many bands and enjoyed the break in between them to stretch the legs. The Killers was the main reason I bought our tickets and it was great seeing them but gawd the Key Arena Sound is so freakin bad or they crank the sound so loud you couldn't appreciate Flower's voice. The lumineers were very very good. Portugal the Man were excellent as well. Loved our seats but next time I think I will bring earplugs to help with the sound volume. My husband had some and he didn't go home with his ears ringing like mine.

I had a great time for the most part! The venue was huge, but the big screens made sure even the farther seats had a great view. I was lucky enough to get a really close seat and it was amazing. The seats are a bit cramped but are staggered so you don't have to worry if a human giraffe sits in front of you. Some of the more well known bands played for a lot longer than the others, so I was a little bummed out about that because the Glass Animals were so good, and they were the ones I came to see, but they weren't on long. Also I payed $5 for a water bottle, haha, just warning you. But overall, it was pretty awesome, would have been perfect if Jimmy Eat World hadn't hogged the stage for a small eternity.

Deck the Hall Ball 2015 was unforgettable, and I was expecting the same from DTHB 2016. The venue was nice, all the staff we encountered were awesome and had great personalities, and we even had front row spots in general admission right by the stage. It was all perfect, until the music started. I was in the exact same spot in the arena as I was the year before, but I could swear the sound system had changed. I know I was right next to a speaker, but I was the year before as well and it was NOT that loud. Maybe the bands just happened to be drastically different from eachother and all the bands this year had a bunch of bass involved with their songs, but believe me when you were that close it kind of hurt to have that much base going right in your ear, and you couldn't hear the singing or other music because of that, which, you know, is kind of the whole reason you go to hear bands?

This year's lineup was better than others I've attended (last four years). I enjoyed the mix of genres and the addition of a local act. One gripe I have with this show is the lack of wifi in the venue. The tickets are fairly expensive. Attendees are encouraged to upload images of the show to various social media platforms. Why not provide free wifi within the KeyArena to help facilitate connecting with others at the event? Plus, like myself, there are many parents in attendance trying to maintain contact with their kids that might not have a data plan. Wifi would provide an element of safety for the minors in attendance. Additionally - when one of the headline sponsors is a local technology company - T*Mobile - why the hell doesn't the sponsor step up and show off their wifi technology to this captive audience? I'm mean, sure, T*Mobile was handing out highlighter pens and hand sanitizer (????) but why not show off their core competency? That makes more sense and more cents.

It was a great line up of bands! Walk the Moon was pure energy and Alabama Shakes was a religious experience! Death Cab makes such amazing music. Unfortunately twenty one pilots upstaged Cage the Elephant and Death Cab because it has a cult of teenage followers who were all there in full effect, but must have had to go home by 9. By the time the headliners played the audience was just too tired. It made me sad. But more importantly, Key Arena is the WORST venue for music. It's like a giant gymnasium and the bands all sounded muddy and too loud. 107.7 needs to find a better place for this show next year. I'd rather pay more for a ticket and have better sound quality. For the most part, 107.7 did a great job of choosing bands for the event and I enjoyed it.

The line-up was great. For weeks and weeks, my friend and I looked forward to this event. We had attended last year's DTHB and we are still talking about that one! This year's event is memorable but not for the same reasons. I've been attending wonderful, loud rock concerts in sports arenas for a long time. 47 years to be exact. The sound quality at Tuesday nights show was just horrible. It was loud and distorted. Even being familiar with the music of 7 of the 8 bands, I couldn't tell you which songs they played. The best way I can describe the unpleasantness of the sound is to say that it sounded like the music was being played through cracked speakers. It was just sad that we looked forward to this event for so long and we were so terribly disappointed. We will attend next years show and cross our fingers.

Walk the Moon and TwentyOne Pilots absolutely killed it at this years show. Over the past couple years it has been my experience that the middle couple bands way outperform the headliner, but it could be that way because it's such a long concert and at the end of the night I'm ready for it to be over. Last year Cage the Elephant was awesome, but this year it was just annoying. His crowd jumping was excessive and the sound was balanced so terribly I couldn't tell what half the songs were even if I knew them.

All of the other acts were great, but I love Cage the Elephant and was most excited to see them once again. Unfortunately the sound was horrible, and the band wasn't tight. Seems like maybe they had issues with the sound system and the band members couldn't hear each other well. Several times the bass and drums were out of sync. It was so bad I couldn't listen anymore and had to leave half way through their set. Pretty sure I'm not alone here, as the crowd was barely applauding them after each song and there were lots of people milling around the concourse. Very disappointing and painful to listen to.

I arrived after the first two bands had finished, and began my show with Nathaniel Rateliff- who was quite impressive and entertaining. Walk the Moon and Twenty One Pilots stole the whole show. Amazing! Both of these bands encourage a lot of crowd participation and their vocals and sound quality were excellent. Cage the Elephant ruined the show for me. WAY TOO LOUD. The singer was drunk or high. Couldn't understand any of the lyrics or even hear them because all of the instruments were turned up way too loud. My boyfriend and I had to stand outside the theater until they were finished. Hated them. Terrible.

All the opening bands were great, even if you didn't know who they were or thought they weren't your style of music. But the sound quality for the 2 headlining bands (Cage the Elephant and Death Cab for Cutie) was horrible. Volume was so loud people had to leave their seats. Guitars so loud it was like they were competing to drown out each other and forget hearing the vocals. Really a shame, since those were the two bands I was really there to see. At one point the reverb was so loud and looped, it would continued after the end of one song and both bands would try to just start the next song with that additional reverb still playing. Really bad. I don't blame CTE or Death Cab, this was a production issue. I'll just go see both groups another time when they can control their own sound. I would not go back to another DTHB unless I'm sure they won't let this happen again.

We have gone to this show for several years now, and The End always has a great lineup. The only complaint I have is with the food. Every year they run out of food. This year they ran out of vegi burgers at 4:30 at a show that runs from 3-11pm. After this many years of history with the show they should know to stock up on more food.

Great concert! Our second year attending. Last year's best band was this year's worst by a mile. Cage the Elephant killed it in 2014 but we're beyond bad this year. I don't know if it was their sound mixer or the band but it was brutal. Everyone else? Great! Twenty One Pilots were the biggest surprise, entertaining show, the drummer played his ass off and the lead singer was brilliant. Alabama Shakes was, well Alabama Shakes. Amazing band. Loved Nataniel Rateliff and the band. Deep Sea Diver was a band I'm eager to hear more from and Walk the Moon was a fun, pop band. Shout out to Death Cab. Can't believe so many people left during their performance. I was expecting a quiet set and it was anything but. Your loss to all that left.

Seats were very pricey and we sat in the nosebleed seats. I wish they would of done a deeper security search at the front gate for safety reasons. Beer was to expensive best deal of the night was $6 dollar refillable popcorn. Honestly the reason I'm writing such a bad review is because each band that played I couldn't understand anything they were saying. It was like listening to just noise. I love 107.7 the end and I knew every band that was going to be there so I knew there songs. I could not identify any songs playing. It was a disappointing I really expected it to be better.

I enjoyed the bands that I saw, but the terribleness of the sound quality was really distracting. There was so much distortion I could barely hear the singer over it. It usually took about three songs per band for the sound engineers to somewhat correct the issue. I get that this is due to no sound checks to decrease the lengths of the breaks, but I would have preferred sound checks to prevent the issues. Also, the lines for the concession stands were absolutely ridiculous. If I stayed in line I would have missed an entire band.

I am very sad that Death Cab for Cuties' performance was so short. A headliner should play more songs than the bands that come before them. Death Cab went over and only got to play 8 songs where Cage the Elephant got 14! That's crap. If you are going to have that many performers start earlier and plan that it will take longer than you schedule, or cut someone. This is the second year in a row I have gone and I want to keep going but I really need Cage the Elephant to have a third year in a row, they don't need to be there every year and aren't that great live. In speaking on that note I didn't like or care about two of the other bands, that time could have been given to the headliner who I was there to see and paid the money for and got jipped out of. Disappointed in this years concert.

I'm going to be very forward here, if you don't live in Seattle, then I TRULY pity you. Deck the Hall Ball '12 is the most amazing and most memorable concert I have ever attended! The whole concert was over the top and all around amazing! Of the three opening bands (Group Love, Two Door Cinema Club, Young the Giant) 2DCC was definitely the best! Group Love was decent, and I was actually rather disappointed with Young the Giant's performance; I was actually looking forward to hearing "Cough Syrup" and "My Body Live"... Then the BIG fun began with Foster the People and their breathe taking part of the concert. They out did themselves with all their bests including "Houdini", "Don't Stop", "Helena Beat" and probably the sickest extended mix of "Pumped Up Kicks" I'll EVER hear! Cage the Elephant MORE than rocked the house with their punk rock energy and grunge sound! Death Cab for Cutie was very impressive and were thrilled to be back home in Washington. And last, bust definitely not least, Mumford and Sons took the crowd by storm with their blinding light show and wicked encore! In a nut shell, one of the BEST experiences ever! The ONLY concern I have is how they are going to top this show with next year's, IF they can! d(-_-)b

because of work I had to miss the first few acts so I don't know how they did. But from Young the Giant on it was a great show. The only act that I didn't really dig was Foster the People. It's probably just me personally, but i feel that the band has a good sound but they need a new singer. Death Cab was good, but it was late and they played a few mellow songs that nearly put me to sleep. Then M&S came on and we rocked that place. They are an amazing band and I will see them every time they're in the Seattle area. Overall, I liked how the event was organized especially all the transitions. I like the Key Arena as a venue and the bands they chose were awesome. I will be looking forward to next year's DTHB.

MUMFORD BLEW MY MIND!!! Fabulous line up, very on-time - not a lot of down time in between bands, no huge delays. The lights and equipment all worked great. Foster the people were AMAZING and Mumford and sons brought tears to my eyes. SPECTACULAR!!! Get them back again!!! The line to go in got a little confused, but we got there early and avoided the moving lines back and forth between entrances. That could be worked on. However, I would jump through much bigger hoops to see Marcus live again. The radio station's weird santa/jesus thing was totally out of place though.

What a great day/evening. I danced through the whole concert (without getting yelled at for it). The whole day was fabulous!! Foster the People rocked it, then Cage the Elephant....wow what a great set!! Then DCFC played all my favorites!! With M&S cleaning up the night with a long rocking set!! and two encores!! Love you all!!

This year's show was incredible. Mumford headlined, but every single group was spectacular! I have new appreciation for Foster the People, my love for Death Cab is as strong as ever, and I am now obsessed with Grouplove!

grouplove and two door cinema club rocked the house. Cage the elephant, young the giant and foster the people were freaking amazing..the best of the night. Death Cab was ok, wished they would have played my fav Into the Dark. Mumford was awesome, certainly worth being at the Key for seven hours!

This was my first Deck the Hall Ball that I've been to and now I'm planning on trying to attend from now on. I had originally intended to buy tickets during the presale but couldn't get anyone to go with me. One of my friends approached me later in November with tickets, but they were in the seated section, which had me worried. Also it was an arena show, and I didn't really know what to expect acoustics wise. Neither of these factors took anything away from the show. I wished we were on the floor but it was a 7 hour long show so seats were nice in that aspect. We weren't able to see Grouplove because we had to sell one of our tickets due to someone bailing on us, so I can't say much for their set. I wanted to see them but it couldn't really be helped. All the other bands were top notch. They all had tons of energy and you could tell that they were all having fun and were glad to be there. The End did a great job picking the groups. The first three bands (Grouplove, Two Door Cinema Club, Young the Giant) all had around 45 minutes to play, the first two headliners (Foster the People, Cage the Elephant) had roughly and hour, and the last two bands (Deathcab for Cutie, Mumford and Sons) had and hour fifteen. The four final bands were fantastic. Foster the People were first, and they came out with a massive amount of energy. I was really disappointed that we were not on the floor because between the music and the musicians on stage you just wanted to get up and dance around; The drums were spectacular. When they played Pumped Up Kicks (arguably their most popular song) the band played through it normally and then continued with a sort of a house style remix, which was really cool. Cage the Elephant was what you would expect from their music. Lots of energy and punk sounds, crowd surfing and a little equipment abuse and the end. All their hits were dotted around new music, as apposed to saving it all for the end which was refreshing. They are definitely have a more aggressive sound than on the CDs but it really works in their favor. Deathcab, as a lot of other people have said, were very mellow in their set. I think a lot of it had to do with the length of the concert itself. Nevertheless they were fantastic as well. They started with new music and moved to older songs. They had a little bit of trouble with feedback and equipment which was upsetting the members but it didn't take away from the performance and I found it pretty funny. Nice to see that rock bands are just as human as the rest of us. Mumford and Sons were last. They took a while to come on stage, around half an hour if I remember correctly, but they had stage props and special lights since they were the actual headliner so that was understandable. They started with one of their new songs (Lover's Eyes) which really gave a good first impression. They sounded fantastic and while their songs are more on the mellow side, their stage presence and sound build up had the crowd going nuts. They played I think 3 songs that are brand new, all of which were exceptional. The band play tons of different instruments, especially Marcus Mumford, playing acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin and even a drum kit. The band seemed genuinely surprised at the crowds admiration for them and thanked us for the warm welcome several times through out the set. They ended with Dust Bowl Dance and received a long ovation, and played The Cave as an encore, which I really wasn't expecting since we were in a sort of festival setting. I had wanted to see them the most and they were fantastic. I had wanted to go for Foster the People and Mumford and Sons, but I left a big fan for all the bands that had played that night. Key Arena lacks the intimacy smaller venues have but this show wouldn't have worked anywhere else. In the seated section people were constantly coming and going and the staircases had to remain illuminated which was distracting but it couldn't be helped. The End did a great job setting up the event and the Key Arena staff did a good job organizing it. I hope to make DtHB an annual event for myself in the coming years.

I don't really have any complaints about the bands, everyone's set was pretty amazing; they all were very energetic and made a connection with the audience to make sure everyone was having a good time. The music was awesome. I loved death cab the most, but then again, I went to the show mainly for them, so I'm a little biased. Mumford and Sons and Foster the People are probably my next favorite performers at the show, followed by Young the Giant, Two Door Cinema Club, and Grouplove. I didn't really care for the Cage the Elephant performance, not because they were bad (they did awesome and the lead singer made their set very exciting) but because they're music isn't really what I'm into. They definitely still had a great show, so no complaints there. The only thing I think could have been better was the way the merchandise table was set up. I know it's difficult to have any organization in that type of situation though, so it's not really a problem. The employees were still very nice and helpful. I just wish there could be more organization so things could go by more smoothly.

The best concert was saved for last - however by the time I got to see Mumford n Son's I had a headache plus I was tired and the food outrageous, so we didn't eat. The changing of the stage took way to long between groups thus the Deck the Hall Ball plus Death Cab for Cutie ran their solo's waaaaaaay tooooooo long, BORING! 107.7 Had good intentions, but I won't be going to Deck the Hall Ball anymore. It was over rated.

The Black Keys were absolutely amazing and I would have paid 50 bucks just to see them. Cake was also great; they really got the crowd into it. Jimmy Eat World sounded terrible. The lead singer was not hitting notes. Other than that, great show.

It was alright. Too many bands though for a week night. The Black Keys stole the show and should have been placed last on the line up to ensure no other bands wouldve been snubbed by concert goers - I watched people leave the venue like Englebert Humperdink took the stage after Broken Bells came on.

The bands were all great. I really went for Cake and wish there was a longer set. Seeing the Presidents was cool but it would have been cool if they played one of their popular songs... at least one. The Black Keys rocked! Awesome sound for just 2 guys!

Normally Deck the Hall Ball is amazing. This year I feel like it fell short. The fact that Cake only played 4 songs was a joke. They should have been the headliner, or at least second to last if Black Keys headlined. But instead Broken Bells bored the crowd and made everyone sleepy with their trance like sound. The second night's show, Neon Trees and Middle Class Rut, was awesome. Hope next year is better.

Broken Bells and the Black Keys are the most amazing bands out there. This concert still manage to suck. It has nothing to do with the two headliners. First off, the crowd overall was a bunch of dbags. One one hand you have fist pumping Jersy Shore loving morons. On the other you have way too young of crowd, non drinkers, that loved Jimmy Eat World. It was just the wrong type of gig for the healdiners. It brought in a crappy crowd that listens to piss poor radio. Also, THE WAMU THEATRE SUCKS! What a terrible venue, it has no character at all. Unless, you love a big concrete dump. Thanks 107.7, you wasted my 60 dollars. Black Keys I still love you and you should've headlined.

I've gone to DTHB a couple of times prior. Unfortunately, even though the lineup was stellar, the earlier bands played such a short set that it was a bit of a bummer. In addition, the order of the lineup was not as practical as I would've hoped. I think Temper Trap should have been 3rd to last rather than the 2nd band. But that's just a personal preference.

Black Keys absolutely carried the show. They should have played twice as long. Danger Mouse (Broken Bells) acted too removed from the crowd. Felt kinda weird. Jimmy Eat World was good. Lots of energy. Good set. Cake acted like they absolutely didn't want to be there, which was the biggest upset of the night. I really was stoked to see them, only to be let down. Temper Trap was jnterestingly good. Sweet Disposition was really cool... Sleigh Bells had their bass WAY too loud. It took away from the performance, and the lead singer screamed entirely too much.

While I absolutely LOVED the line-up, I was sad to have missed Sleigh Bells opening, and wished that Broken Bells would have mixed up their songs a bit more. Out of the rest of the bands that played, I would have to say that Cake and The Black Keys were the highlights of the show, along with a nice little surprise from Presidents of The United States of America. The Temper Trap was also amazing and I'm happy to have caught them as well. For future Deck the Hall Balls, I would recommend The End holds this event on a Friday or Saturday night, because that long of a show is brutal to most people who have to get up early for work or school the following day. My dogs are tired from standing so long!!!

I've been to a ton of shows in a wide variety of venues on both coasts of the US, so I like to think that I have a good idea of when my money was well spent. Deck the Hall Ball was okay. It wasn't terrible, it wasn't spectacular, it just was. Considering the sticker price of about $60 including the $12 in fees added to each ticket, I was expecting a little more bang... However, when I consider how much it would have cost me to see each band individually, I can't complain to much. If I'd spent the money and only seen Cake, The Temper Trap, and The Black Keys, it still would have been worth it. Cake was better than I expected. I have a fair amount of their music in my collection, but it's in the "always a 'random play' selection, rarely user-chosen" category. The live performance and energy was far superior to the recorded work -- a pleasant surprise these days. Same with The Black Keys. I don't own any of their work so my only exposure to them has been via radio singles and GrooveShark selections by co-workers. They put on a great set that had everyone rocking out and made me forget that I'd been standing for 4-5 hours straight by that point. I really really really really wish that The Temper Trap had been given a later slot, as they didn't get to play very long and also gave an excellent performance. As for Jimmy Eat World... Why? Just why? I never saw them live back when they were more popular, but I Adkins' voice sounded totally different -- higher and extremely nasal -- than I ever expected. I was looking forward to a musical trip back to high school, but instead I found myself wanting to walk out to the main concession area and get a beer. It was baaaaad... ... But not quite as bad as Broken Bells. James Mercer was great, if a little disinterested in actually addressing his audience. His vocals were mostly spot on, and the notes that he did fudge a bit were probably related to the general expression of frustration on his face. Great album, terrible live performance. He just hired a band to back him on tour and it sounds like it. The levels for different instruments were out of balance, no one was really playing together so everything was slightly off and faaaarr from sounding cohesive, and the bass player (gray/blue 3/4 sleeve baseball tee) who was helping with vocals should have had his microphone taken away after the first terrible note he let out. Maybe my hopes were just too high considering how great the album and the preceding performance by The Black Keys were, but it was a big disappointment.

Deck the Hall Ball was a great time. Six bands played, and all but the last band (Broken Bells) I really enjoyed. I was surprised that Cake and Jimmy Eat World played as the 3rd and 4th bands, respectively, and did not headline the show. Presidents of the United States did a surprise cameo and sang a Christmas song. They also plugged their upcoming tour. I went to Deck the Hall Ball last year and had a good time. This year the show was much better. Thanks 107.7 THE END!

Deck the Hall Ball 2010 was a great music experience, minus the lines to get alcohol the act were totally rad. A devote Black Keys listener for 8 years, they were above and beyond my favorite, and 5th time seeing them. Slay Bells were great, and lead singer used her voice like a tool. Cake, also amazing and I've never seen them in concert and would recommend to other to check them out when they come on tour in 2011 to promote their new album. Broken Bells were good as well, without knowing much of their music, the band ensemble was freaking fantastic\u2026 I was even able to find the Grey LP for a friend for the holidays after the show. All in all, 107.7 you really went out of your way this year to bring a totally awesome show all around to Seattle. Rock on!
