Avant

The show was very good. He started taking care of business as soon as he got on stage. My wife and I were very satisfied with his performance.

I travelled from Atlanta to see Avant. The venue was really nice he is such a superb artist did a great great job only thing is he didn't sing my favorite song "when it hurts" but overall it was wonderful it could have been a little longer but oh well I still enjoyed every minute of it. Can't wait to see him again hopefully he will come to Atlanta soon if not I'll be checking him out in New Jersey next year so excited

It was 4 full hours of fun & entertainment! Both acts were great!

I have waited so long for Avant to come to Dallas again and he did not dissappoint! However, the show started about an hour and 10 minutes LATE! Avant sang nearly all of his hits and his voice was crystal clear. Beautiful voice... OMG! He did an impromtu version of Michael Jackson's Human Nature and I must say the KING would be proud. Great band! Great background vocalists!

I thought it was a good show, we were able to hear and see but the show wasn't long enough!

I had a great time seeing Avant and hearing him in concert for the first time. He's not only handsome, but the man can sing too. I'd definitely like to see him again!

When someone pays extra for front row tickets, they expect to get a better show. Because the event allowed every guest to run up to the stage, it blocked the view from the front row. It was very upsetting. This was my first girls night out this year and I was very disappointed. I would not go to another show similar to this one offered at twin river again.

I was very pleased with the show itself. The performers were from my "day" and they still can sing their butts off. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the long lines for drinks and when they allowed people to come to the stage. That blocked the view of many who paid good money to get good seats. That should have never been allowed. Other than that, the show was great. It brought back good memorizes.

I enjoyed all three performers so much. Jon B. took me back to a good place with his smooth voice and fine self. Carl Thomas was amazing, his voice is so peaceful. I have been a fan of his since day one. Avant was better than I had even expected. Truthfully, I went to see Carl Thomas but Avant stole the show. I was impressed with all of them. It was my two year anniversary weekend get-away and it was worth it!!!!!!! I would definately like to visit Twin Rivers again.

I had an exciting time at the concert. It was at first a mess with the scanning of tickets and all but it turned out beautiful. Me and boyfriend partied like no other. There was music before the concert and it was some pleasant grown folk music. I did not want the night to end.

all three of them was so great, they gave a great show,were alots of people ther enjoying themselves. everything was so cool and calm. people was having such fun, like they did not want it to end. the show was sooooooo great. i had fun and i wolud to attend again.

I thought the show was awesome!!! All 3 guys have that raw, natural talent and beautiful voices. The only thing that could've made it better was a live band! and better crowd control, because I paid good money for a third row seat and the crowd kept running up to the front of the stage blocking our view.

It was a good show. I took my girlfriend because when we first started dating, Avant was the main cd/artist we listened to. We both had a good time.

I had a great time at this concert. My friend and I can't wait til they return to RI.

I loved him from the beginning to the end. He has a great stage presence and he keeps you on your feet. I can't wait to see him again. Up close and personal at B.B. King's is the best venue.

I really enjoyed the perfomance, however it was not as enjoyable because the crowd was gathered at the front of the stage making it hard to see the performance. Had I known I would have bought a cheaper ticket and stood at the front!!!...that was annoying!!!....

Good live music, a great show with band and a backup singer. No regrets really enjoyed the show and would go to see again.

Very disappointed after paying 68.00 per ticket; there was no band for each of the groups.The feedback was awful but most of all I could not see because Jon B and Avant encouraged the audience to come to the front making it impossibe to see unless you stood on your chair. I could of paid 25 and been alright with that but come on to hear snippets of of Avant songs (who I really came out to see) was a total disappointed. How ever Carl Thomas did do his thing considering what he was working with.

The concert was unorganize. I paid 75.00 for the third row and people who paid less than me got to be in the front row. Everyone block my view I was not able to enjoy the show

Avant is a excellent performer. I love the show. So did my two sister and cousin.who also went . I love his music from the very first song. His biggest fan.

Avant, Carl Thomas and Jon B were amazing at Twin Rivers, RI. The only thing I didn't like was that the show started really late and the drinks were too expensive. They put on an amazing show and I didn't realize that Jon B was from Rhode Island so he really did it up.

These performers put on a great show! They sang all the best songs and it was wonderful. My only complaint is the venue that we watched it at. I Paid for front row seats instead I got a mob of people, who paid for back row seats, standing in front of my view most of the time.

Jon B. opened the show and was greeted by many of his RI natives. To me his performance was simply average. Next up was Carl Thomas, his performance was slightly better. His voice is smooth. Finally Avant came on to the stage, the crowd was uncontrollable. He was able to move the crowd up out of their seats.

First, I would never attend another concert at Twin Rivers. I paid $150 for two tickets and I couldn't enjoy the show. If they was going to allow people tfrom the back that paid less for their ticket run up and stand right in front of people that had front tickets they should have had it open to general admission. For Avant to be the headliner and only perform for 30 minutes was an even bigger disappointment.

The artist were magnificent. However, we need to start these concerts ON TIME!!! The artist were rushed and they were not able to give us their true heartfelt performances. Also, the majority of the concerts I attend I pay good money to attend these events. Could the artist PLEASE dress as if we are important to them? I have seen Lyfe many times, so I know what he wears. But Avant and Case could have done better in that area. All in all, it was a great concert. P.S. LOSE THAT COMEDIANS PHONE NUMBER!!!

I thought the overall concert was great! Love the old R & B music, brought back a lot of memories. I would have liked Lyfe Jennings to be on stage longer. Case and Avant were great too.

The concert was suppose to be for mothers and first I did not appreciate how the comedian felt like he had to use vulgar language every other word. I feel like this if you are going to play edited music in between the sets then the comedian should also be edited. This was supposed to be a classy event to celebrate motherhood and he was not classy at all. Then as for the headliners they did the best they could being that they were rushed. The show started an hour late due to the local performance group. They did great but they did not need to be up there that long. We were not there for them or the comedian that we could barely understand. The headliners should have gotten their full times to do what they do best. We did not need the opening performers seeing that we had 3 people to get through and the show started at 8pm. What was done was good but the show could have been more organized.

The opening acts were very good. That was my second time seeing Levelle. I really enjoy his vocal skills, amazing. My 1st time seeing Avant ever in concert. His voice was great. I've always heard about his shows. He didn't disappoint. I loved the band and his back up singers. If he ever comes again count me in.

What a way to start the year off. The Concert was awesome. I had an amazing time.

It was ok. If the crew knew that Avant was going to be late they should have extended the time for the other artists. It was disappointing that Avant was late as he has many more hits and if all possible the venue should have at the very least extended the show for an additional 30min. My husband and I feel that all other artists where on point. There should have been a walk through by the crew in order to avoid the loud buzzing from the mic. We hope you take our comments seriously in order to make future events better.

The concert was awesome. Everyone did a great job.

Was no where near as good as the R&B Rewind concert. They cut artists short and then had about a half hour of just talking and radio shout outs I guess while waiting on Avant to get in the building. To make it worse when he arrived there was only time for him to do about 4 songs! Was not impressed.. paid more money for a crummier show!

What is goin on with him? This is my second time seeing him in concert & he comes on stage looking like a homeless man! Layers of jackets, coats sunglasses etc. Last night he or whoever only did 2 songs the, there was allegedly a malfunction with the sound! He left, didn t apologize or say anything!

Terrible waste of time and money! The amateur opening act was on stage far longer than both KeKe & Avant. Avant sang for about 20 minutes & only about 7 were with KeKe... she went backstage & never came back out for her portion of the performance. OH AND.... there was no liquor available until after 10pm

I I upgraded my ticket to VIP which was $50. I should have stayed where I was at for a show that started at12 am and lasted less than 30 minutes!!! Wished I would have stayed home. Very disappointed!

KeKe didnt do much and Avant left quickly right after his set. Maybe the issue was the venue was not ready for an adult event. The younger generation probably would not notice, but us over 40s need more sophistication. The staff however were mostly kind and attentive. You have those though who acted as if you owed them something.

From the moment we stepped into line until the time left it was a horrible experience, 4songs by Avant 2 by Keke, sound was unbearable, drinks extremely costly

Terrible experience ghetto club with extra security, unnecessary double pat downs from security. artist didn't perform songs avant sung four songs. Keke didn't sing at all she only sang one song with avant but left after Mic feed back

13 minute show, barely sung his own songs. Never again

Show was supposed to start at 11:00pm, they got on stage at MN exactly and exited at 12:12. They did song previews and left. I didn't even hear what I came for before the song was cut off

Overall a good show I had no complaints about the show

the show was good, couldnt see anything if people stood up, which made you have to stand up. KeKe Wyatt's background music was louder than her, which made it hard to hear HER actual singing. the other two were great.

Avant's voice is timeless. He sounds even better in person. He sings many of his hits and even adds a few funny moment in between.

I purchased 7 tickets for the Avant concert, the only 7 seats that were seated together were the barstool options. When we got to the IP casino we were told the barstool seats were first come, first serve. The ushers had to find us chairs to sit in. We asked if we could go to upstairs for seating but we were told no. The IP seems to be more focused on tickets sales than the comfort of their guests. I will never drive another 4 hours to a concert at the IP Casino.

THE SHOW WAS AWESOME AND THE SETTING WAS VERY NICE. I JUST WISH THE SHOW WAS LONGER THAN AN HOUR.

Parking was HORRIBLE and it took over 35 minutes to park and concert was only a little over 1 hr. I will stick to the Essence Festival in New Orleans

The local artist that they had before the main show, some were awful.. They were onstage entirely too long. I mean we were told the show started at 6pm, but they would not let us through the gate till 6:30pm and the pre-show artists sang till 10pm. The DJ's were GREAT and of course Avant, Michelle' and El Debarge were great..

This concert was amazing can't wait until the next one!!!

112 surprised me. They sound just as good as in the 90's. The brothers danced and performed their behinds off. Impressive show. Jagged Edge was disappointing. Over half of their time was devoted to either the DJ playing back in the day jams, or the group singing OTHER people's back in the day jams. Hello! I came to see you perform your songs! Dru Hill were good. I was never a big fan, but the ladies came to see Sisqo, and he didn't disappoint. He's a high energy brother; the group did well. Avant did what he was supposed to do. He sang well. He was not intimidated by being the headliner. Unfortunately, either due to time, or no get up and dance type of jams, many in the crowd left early. Maybe we in New Orleans are spoiled by Frankie Beverly and Maze and Mary J. Blige. If you're going to close out the show, you better have me singing, dancing, crying, and testifying. Avant was professional, smooth, good show. Maybe more suited for an intimate supper club. I enjoyed his show. But a lot of people walked out early.

Kudos to Fair Park for not charging fans to park their vehicles. Valet parking was available for this who didn't want to park their own vehicle. (Fifteen dollar charge) WASTEFUL in my opinion. The beverages were over priced but, it seems fair since parking was free. The only issue I had was the show at started a hour late w/o any explanation. Once the show began it was AMAZING!!! 112, Dru Hill, Avant and their musical guest gave everyone a SPECTACULAR evening.

One of the best concerts I've been to in a long time..jagged edge and dru hill were the show..but what made it the BEST was Dru Hill, they definitely still got it!! Omgggg so worth it!! They knew exactly what their fans wanted..

Avant gave a wonderful performance at Love and Laughter event in Pensacola, Florida. I am not one to purchase concert tickets, but I postponed my personal reservations to experience a true artist. This was grown and sexy music. Yes, he sounds better than the pre-recorded tracks, very few artists can make this claim. I am frustrated that this artist has not received the same acclaim for his outstanding library, which some receive for lesser quality and substance. Ladies, if you want to feel like the only woman on earth, Avant is your man for an evening. Gentlemen, if are tired of using the same tired lines with your lady, Avant is your poet. Yes, the Grow and Sexy Academy is in session. I present to you Avant, PhD in Loveology! Kevin "Damn Fool" Simpson is true to his name. He is very funny!

Avant is one the most amazing r&b singer i enjoy every moment of his apperance on stage i was so emtional because ,he will take you there....i would love for him to come back real soon..b b king i want to thank you for the amazing work that you put in to make your guest happy..avant thank you for your amazing performance i enjoy it and i hope you come back again to new york. This was my first visit to the Howard Theatre. The food was delicious and the professionalism from the staff there was refreshing to say the least. The acoustics and lighting were amazing and the cabaret seating made it very personal. Avant is an awesome performer and a very talented artist. He definitely gave the audience what they came for. I would like to add that Collette was an excellent choice as an opening act. Although I didn t feel that the audience gave her the attention she deserved probably because they were mostly interested in the main course Avant, nonetheless her performance was on point and her voice was completely in control with a perfected pitch and a powerful punch. Did I mention the acoustics at the Howard Theatre was amazing?

He put on a great show and he's so humble, so grateful to his fans and it showed! When photos were being taken, he told his crew to wait until the last person had their photo taken then they could leave. He even came back because one person didn't get a photo! At the after party out in Woodbridge, Va, I think he felt obligated to sing a few songs because his fans were wanting so much of him. He was so patient, talked with fans and smiled the whole time, never showing how tired he was. Big J is a great guy as well! You guys are a great team, so humble and down to Earth. This is the 2nd time i have seen Avant perform he truly puts on a great show his energy was great from start to finish. Anyone who sees him will not be disappointed. The opening act Franc West also put on an AMAZING performance!!

Keswick Theater is the place to see anyone perform, you can view them without getting a nose bleed regardless on where you sit, of course the closer the better you can seem them sweat! LOL Loved the performance and the interaction with the crowd. Great show!

The show was over before it started. 2.5 hr drive for about 30 - 45 minutes of actually performing and then filler of the rest of the time. I ll stick to the House of Blues and larger venues. This show was not worth the money or the time. There were plenty of people saying how dissastified they were while leaving.

This concert was one of the most unorganized events I've ever attended ! To start the show started at 6 o'clock however, the main performances didn't start until 10:30. The host was rude and repeatedly introduced new amateur acts every hour in between the DJ's music without explanation until 10:30. The most disappointing thing was finding out that this was NOT AN AVANT CONERT, ALTHOUGH IT WAS ADVERTISED AS SUCH! From my experience the main act always preforms last (save the best for last) and is the longest performance of the evening! At this "concert" ( it wasn't a concert in my opinion) Avant performed second. His performance was great but very brief, he only performed 2 songs and a couple of samples. After Avants performance we were informed that El DeBarge would be performing next, and that the meet and greet (which we paid for) would take place after this performance. We spent more than two hours listening to the DJ spin music and make rude jokes, and then the final song was played. The lyrics of the song said "it's time to go! Y'all gotta get out !" And that's exactly what they meant for us to do ! That's right El DeBarge never showed up, and there was no meet and greet, and no explanation given for anything!! Don't waste your money or your time!

This concert was horrible there was at least six acts before Avant came on. Avant was the person with the least amount of time. Then El Debarge didn't even perform instead they played a DJ and didn't even tell us until midnight after the show was over. Then no one wanted to talk with those who purchased a meet and greet with Avant. They told us to go to a club if we wanted to still meet Avant. I brought my 9yr old daughter all the way from Portland Oregon to meet Avant she can't go to a club. They said this was a family friendly concert. I just felt cheated. Avant was Amazing he could of done the show alone without all the other stuff. Michele should have opened for him and that's it. I go to a lot of shows and concerts but this is the only one that left a bad taste in my mouth and got me for extra money for a meet and greet that I will never get back. I wouldn't be so made if the concert didn't say it started at 6pm but started at 7:30pm then Avant didn't go on until 10:30pm performed for 30mins then a DJ for an hour. I'm irritated and done.

After sitting through HOURS of watching five opening acts do 4-5 songs each, we finally got to see 30 minutes of Michele and 30 minutes of Avant. We were told El Debarge was in the building and that he would be coming out shortly, but it never happened!! Finally at 12am the dj dismissed us by simply saying have a good night. We got no explanation at all as to why we ended up paying to watch amateurs and not who actually paid to see. It's very unfortunate because the venue was amazing and had we not been held hostage by a bogus line up, it could have been an awesome night. I will be seeking a refund.

This concert was an absolute waste!!!!!! It was very unorganized!!!!!! We did a bunch of watching the local acts perform much longer than the main acts everyone came to see!!!!!! Along with just listening to music being played by the DJs' to help keep the crowd hyped!!!! Most of all after waiting for over an hour for El DeBarge to finally come out on stage and perform and close out the concert, he didn't even show up!!!!!!!!! After DJ Thump and friends kept egging on the crowd for over an hour, kept saying "are yall ready for El DeBarge?" Knowing Damn well El DeBarge wasn't there all along to perform!!!!!!! Security was terrible too!!!!! My husband & I had the best seats in the house first row center right in front of the stage, but spectators kept getting in front of us blocking our best seats in the house and security not really doing anything about it!!!!! Power 88 really dropped the ball on this one!!!!

As I stated on the El Debarge site, Mr. Debarge never took the stage although some fans claimed to have seen him at the venue. After 30 minutes of lead-ins and "Are you ready for El Debarge," DJ Thump? abruptly announced that the concert was over and asked everyone to leave. No explanation was ever given. None of the singers were accompanied by a live band. I expect to see live musicians at an old school r&b "concert." I paid $80 extra for "meet and greet" that never happened. DJ's playing songs between sets were excellent. MC Lou did a good job, although some of his interactions with audience members went a little too far for my taste. Disrespecting people who paid their hard earned money to attend an event for a few laughs. I don't get that. Otherwise...an excellent MC. Avant was the saving grace for the night. I would love to see what he could do in an actual live concert.

This was by far the worst concert we have ever been too, and me and my husband have seen so many concerts!! It was like we paid to listen to the DJ!! The opening acts were horrible!! Such a waste of time

My main reason for purchasing tickets for this event was to see EL Debarge. Avants performance was good, but I was not familiar with the other artist, The show was almost over and the MC kept saying Debarge would be coming out shortly, but they ended the show and never told the crowd any thing about EL Debarge not appearing. We paid a lot of money to see EL only to be disappointed.

Way too many Amateur artist that couldn't sing. Gates opened at 6:30 and 2 of 3 main artists didn't perform until 10:00pm.. Extreme disappointment will never pay for that venue again.

I LOVE AVANT, GINUWINE, AND DNT FORGET DRU HILL...THE SHOW WAS REALLY GOOD. ...ALTHOUGH TANK PUT ME TO SLEEP....I AM A HUG FAN OF GINUWINE AND AVANT.....LOT'S OF GOOD MEMORIES FROM DRU HILL FROM THE PAST....

Even though Avant was forced off the stage by security the show was off the chain. A great trip down memory lane and everyone still has their voices.
