Ghost the musical had an exceptional talented vocal cast, the leads were phenomenal. Able to capture emotion and dynamics vocally and in presence without being over done. The dance complimented the mood and were very well illustrated. Having an illusionist in a musical led to the believability of the story an visually very interesting. Having the scenes in the background sometimes mimicking the dancing was very clever.

I went to see Ghost on August 15, 2012 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. I was actually not expecting that much because some of the reviews had been mixed, but I was very pleasantly surprised! The score was great and the performers were just wonderful. The use of technology and digital effects were the best part. I have never seen technology used in a Broadway production the way this production used it. I would love to see more Broadway musicals use technology the way Ghost did. It is so sad that this has closed, but if they have a tour and if it comes to your area, I would highly recommend going to see it!

Every once in a while I see a show that is truly ground breaking in some way. Ghost - the musical is the first one in a long time to fall into that category. The "ground breaking" stuff here is, of course, the special effects. The whole show is good, so I don't feel that celebrating the special effects in any way takes away from the story or the performances. Its just that the effects take this production to a visual level that leaves the audience asking "what am I seeing, and how did they do that"? The show is moving, funny, emotional and thought provoking.

Even though we know the Ghost plot, we were mightily entertained by the musical. Frankly, I don't understand why the critics aren't giving it a higher review. The special effects are out of this world. The music and dancing are sharp and fitting. Oda Mae steals the play with her outrageousness. The audience stood and clapped and showed its appreciation for the fine entertainment. Refer this show to a friend? You bet! And I want to see it again also!

Ghost is just stunning. I loved this show so much I want to go again and will recommend to my friends. the cast is fantastic. Richard Fleeshman is a gorgeous Sam with wonderful singing voice. he and Caissie Levy are just terrific together and a great cast and ensemble. The illusions are mind blowing. Bought the cast album, the music is beautiful. This is a must see show. can't praise it too highly.

I enjoyed the play and would recommend it. As a huge fan of the film, it was hard to see other actors in the roles, but I had no problems with their performances. The special effects were fantastic and the plot did not differ much from movie. I am on the fence about the music. I loved the first song but was a little disappointed at many of the others. Maybe I would like them better if I see the lyrics.

Loved the special effects - best part of the show. At times orchestra too loud - actors had to sing over at time - very distracting. I'd like to see it again after the actors had more time to master their roles - acting could of been better - biu believe this will get better with time. A very enjoyable evening.

My wife and I saw this amazing musical in London last year and were thrilled to learn that it was coming to New York with the two original leads. I surprised my office staff with tickets to last Saturday's performance. This show touches a person in a frighteningly vulnerable place and ultimately caresses his soul. The songs, the voices, the choreography, the stunning high tech special effects and video wallpaper and, oh yeh,... the romance... should not be missed. Caissie Levy's performance of "With You" is in itself worth the price of admission. My wife and I loved the show every bit as much the second time around and my staff are still in awe. My wife and I see the show with our sons in 3 weeks...can't wait. It truly is something special. BTW, I have yet to see the movie! (My wife and I see most everything on Broadway even though we live in Pennsylvania, and this is definitely a favorite.)

I had been looking forward to seeing this from the day I purchased the tickets. As I found myself finally seated, I was anticipating greatness. Like the movie, the musical was an up close version multiplied and performed in the "now". The chemistry between the characters was amazing & I'd recommend anyone to see this with that special someone. A True Love Story!!

Everybody knows the fabulous film Ghost, and we feared that the stage production could not do it credit. We were totally wrong, right from the start we were hooked. Richard Fleeshman all grown up since Coronation Street showed his ability as an actor, and a singer, and along with all the cast provided us with a fabulous evenings entertainment, which saw us passing a tear(crazy I know) at times and laughing enthusiastically at the character of Oda Mae Brown. Also cast members playing the major roles of Molly, Carl, Willie Lopez and the subway ghost all made an equal contribution to this thoroughly entertaining show. Obviously the rest of the cast provided a big contribution to this show. We thought the deaths of Sam, Carl and Willie creating ghosts was well thought out and the wizardry of ghouls and ghosts was creative and unexpected. We loved it and it should not be missed.

I loved the movie but felt that this story almost fit even better as a musical! The sets are outrageous, really cutting edge. The musical score is all you could wish for. Most of the people sitting around me in the theater were sniffling by the end! It is really a heartfelt and sincere story (even though it is a fantasy story in some ways?) The dancing/singing by the chorus is also top notch.

I was very impressed with the use of the technology at the opening of the show but felt that it was overplayed. It is such a sweet story line that in this case, less would have been more. The music seemed a bit louder than other shows and the 2 seats we had closest to the aisle were bombarded with lights from the stage (the other 2 seats in our group further in were OK). The negative out of the way, I loved the voices (especially Molly's) and Oda Mae was fabulous! I adore musicals and hope that this proves helpful.

Apart from the special effects that were a tad cheesy at times, I felt like I was watching a high school production. The talents were so-so. Molly's vocals was terrible ... weak and pitchy (sorry!). Nothing really creative with the choreography, mostly a lot of background dancing. Odamae Brown's character may have made up for the show's flatness but I think it's inherent to the character and still not enough to carry the show. Also, either the background music was too loud or the vocals really were too weak because a lot of times, the song gets drowned out by the music. When you endeavor to interpret a blockbuster like "Ghost", I think you need to make sure it is a better or at least at par interpretation... Or you should just leave it alone. A for ambition, B for effort, C for execution. I'm glad I only paid the promo price for this show.

I had not heard of the Ghost Musical until my friend wanted me to go with her. I did not get a chance to read any reviews before our show and i usually do so i did not know what to expect at all. If you have seen the movie Ghost then you know the storyline of the musical. However the way they told the story and incorporated song was refreshing and surprising. You will have gone through a roller coaster of emotions by the time they are through with you. Absolutely loved this production. The special effects were truly amazing like nothing I've ever seen in a live production. The acting, singing and choreography were outstanding. I wished that the song words could have been more understandable when Molly was singing. I'm not sure if the difficulty was due to her voice and enunciating or because the music overpowered her voice.

This was my second time seeing Ghost and truly, the show completely blows me away. The first time, I went because it was at TKTS, the second to take my partner and in-laws after a disappointing night at Jesus Christ Superstar. In fact, on this trip, I saw Ghost, Once, Jesus Christ Superstar and Evita and The effects are really amazing - much more than illusions on stage - inventive and often times jaw dropping. Yes, there are the cheesy movie moments (mosty in the lyrics), but I guess people would expect to see moments from the film. The music is sometimes haunting and really romantic. Unchained Melody, one of my LEAST favorite songs, is re-imagined beautifully and unexpectedly. The highlight of the show is Caissie Levy, the actress playing the role made famous by Demi Moore. Her voice alone is worth a full-priced ticket. After seeing most of the musicals in the 2012 season, I am really surprised she didn't receive a Tony nomination.

The female lead had an exceptionaly good voice, but was drowned out by the VERY LOUD orchestra. We were a bit disappointed because the music covered up the singing, therefore, we missed some of the important dialog. Otherwise, an excellent production.

The lead voices were terrific and Carla Stewart who played Oda Mae was phenomenal. BUT the best part was the special effects and set design. Kudos to the lighting designer, video & Projection Designer, Illusionist and the Director. BRAVO! The only complaint I have was the ensemble numbers were way too loud, it distorted the words.

The special effects were fantastic. Hard to believe they could get the atmosphere so well. It started out a little slow, but by the middle we were leaning forward in our seats really involved with the characters. All parts were well played, but Oda Mae stole the show. A great job.

With all of the special effects in the movie Ghost, I was leery as to how they were going to make a musical from the movie. However, it proved to be a very enjoyable show. I would like to add that the music was extremely loud and to the point of overbearing.

Special effects were amazing. Transition from life to death gave me goosebumps. Not a memorable musical score, but totally enchanting. The psychic stole the show!

Great Production! I was amazed how they did the train scene, (my favorite scene). The ghosts lifting Sam at the end of the musical, was awesome! Carla Stewart who played Oda Mae, did a GREAT JOB!

Some incredible scenes. Two in particular were absolutely amazing. And Oda Mae was a sensation. The technical, special effects were very cool- but as a whole it fell flat. The leads were just OK and their voices not stellar. They relied on a lot of special effects and Oda Mae. She is worth seeing it for.

The special effects were incredible. Oda Mae Brown made the play! She was great! So many laughs. The lead female did not quite have the voice for her role. My husband thought she should have been cast as Brunette, but this did not bother me a bit. Overall it was definelty worth attending, and is a really fun play. I will tell you after going to this play I am holding my husbands hand a little tighter, and enjoying my time with him more than before. It makes you realize what a precious gift life is.

We left! Singers off key, so loud could not hear the words being "sung". Visual effects too bright. - headache! This is only the second time we have ever left a theater during a live performance. I loved the movie! I love "Unchained Melody"! Both of us agreed to leave with little hesitation. Other people were walking towards parking lots with playbill in hand. Guess we were not the only ones disappointed!!!!

Exceptional play. They "captured" the Ghost effect perfectly. Music great, actors great. A very believable play.

The 2 leads are dreadful. Poor singing and acting with no chemistry between them which is what the story is all about. The only redeeming part of this show was Cara Stewart who plays an amazing and entertaining Oda Mae, and a couple of the large production numbers without the leads.

I didn't know what to expect with this play. Knowing in the movie they had to have special effects....I wasn't sure how they would reproduce those effects in a play performance. I was very pleased at the special effects they were able to accomplish. We really enjoyed the performance! Very highly recommended!!

The show follows the movie plot of a young couple in love divided by tragedy. The young woman tries to make sense of what has happened as her fiance tries to solve his own murder. The show is serious and poignant until he enlists the help of a questionable psychic to help discover his killer. Quite hilarious and her participation takes the story line in a new direction. This was the role that won Whoppi Goldberg her Oscar.Very good musical numbers and highly recommended.

Saw Ghost at the Pantages Thursday night. The visual effects and computer -based graphics was amazing! I've never seen such in a theater production but it was very effective. Why bother building sets when you can put the setting on a screen on stage like a hologram. I'm guessing this the wave of the future. Anyway the actors were very appealing and talented. The songs weren't particularly catchy or memorable but the musical stayed very true to movie storyline. The sound was crackly and not so clear ( maybe my hearing is going?). Carla Stewart, the actress who played Oda Mae was great - energetic, funny, and a delight. She made every scene watchable!

I really liked this play! Amazing! I was a little reluctant about watching a play of a movie, but I really think it was amazing what they did on the stage

My husband and I went to see Ghost last weekend, and totally enjoyed ourselves. Before going, we had both wondered what could possibly be done with Ghost, as a stage play, having seen the movie more than once--and a favorite. Everyone did a great job in keeping us entertained throughout the show--actors, screen visuals, music--all added to a level of excitement to all aspects of the show. We would both highly recommend the show to anyone considering going to see it. Great job!
