The moment the curtain rose on the Kitchen Dwellers to the last note of the Infamous Stringdusters set was a barrage of pure bluegrass bliss. These are two bands that are not to be missed and they know how to weave a show that can blow the mind of even a jaded vet. Some of us clearly chose to spend our post Phish hours gambling, others clearly went to sleep, those of us who caught this show (and the one the night before) made the better choice. Hot damn, what a night of music.

The Infamous Stringdusters is one of the top contemporary blue grass groups in the country. Their talent and music draws you in and some can be mesmerizing. When the Infamous Stringdusters are in town, definitely go!

I first heard the Stringdusters in Aug of' '09 in Crested Butte, CO. They were outstanding then. They are simply awesome now. Consummate musicians with more stage presence now, they gave a very dynamic and engaging performance. With individual members continually changing positions on stage in order to pair off for call and response solos, they had the crowd moving and swaying from the opening number. They played maybe 4 or 5 songs that i recognized from their first three CDs \u2014 and it didn't make any difference because their music is so instantly accessible. They played two sets where the material was tightly polished with regard to transitions to short individual solos, and varied with extended solos and duets. I'd drive two hours in any direction to see them again.

When we arrived Hot Day at the Zoo were playing and we didn't believe it could get any better. Then the Infamous Stringdusters came on and Wow what amazing musicians. They just kept on getting better and what great tunes - I have already recommended them to family and friends. The Paradise Club is a great venue too, my first time there but hopefully won't be my last.

Real music is out there. You just have to know where to look. The Infamous Stringdusters are among the best in the bluegrass game today. They rank among Trampled By Turtles, Old Crow Medicine Show, The Carolina Chocolate Drops, Yonder Mountain, and Railroad Earth. Can't wait to see them again!

Adored the Zombie "Deadly Gentlmen". As always, "The Infamous Stringdusters" put on an AMAZEBALLS live show. Super bluegrass crush on both. My heart if full of happy.

The Infamous Stringdusters show at the Bowery Ballroom was like no other . To start the support for the night was Two Guys and a Band. They were not only excellent , they are hysterical. Perfect combination of comedy and music that got the night going and off to a very good start. The Infamous Stringdusters took the stage next , the energy and complexity of their music filled that entire Ballroom . There was not a single person standing still. If they did sit for a moment it was only to rest those happy feet and then get back in the game of dancing . I have been to many festivals to see the Infamous Stringdusters and will have to say the Bowery Ballroom was my favorite show so far for them . The Ballroom was not only easy to get to but a gorgeous venue , friendly staff and the audience one of the best , appreciating the entire show as much as I did .

incredible music, incredible jams. for the encore, they come out to the middle of the audience and have a giant sing-a-long. this is what music is supposed to be, hung out with the band before and after the show, great people, great musicians

This was an excellent bluegrass jam. The Infamous Stringdusters were a joy to watch. The guys moved all over the stage for the show, and seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves. So did the fans!

Great music, lousy venue for older people - we need seats. More of a social event than a concert. Have attended Stringduster concerts in other venues where the music was the predominant factor rather than the noise. The opening act was good music but bad board settings resulted in overwhelming bass that drowned out the rest of the instrumentation. This improved with the Stringdusters but still not well equalized.

The dusters brought an incredible amount of energy and put on an amazing show. They clearly love what they are doing and are incredibly skilled. At first I was disappointed that Trampled by Turtles couldn't make it, but the Dusters carried the show. I would go to any future shows of theirs in a heartbeat.

Being from Minnesota, my purpose of going to this show was to see Trampled By Turtles. I had no idea who the other performer was. The show started and TBT did not fail to please. The somewhat stiff crowd was loosening up and dancing, some even sang along. Around 5 songs into the set they started to turn. Maybe it is common in NY for people to stand around and talk while the band plays, but I thought it was quite rude. If you have to talk, move away from the stage and let the people there for the music enjoy it without your chatter. All in all, I really enjoyed Trampled by Turtles but I thought the crowd was horrible.

First time seeing a show at Aura. Never even been in the building when it was the Asylum, so cannot compare any changes. Venue is great, not a bad seat in the house. Usually like to be in The Pit, but being a Wednesday night show on a "school night", chose to head upstairs. We sat dead center and on the top level in comfy folding chairs with two cup holders. Bar right behind us, clean bathrooms! The stringdusters can certainly "bring it". The music, sound, lights, everything. Never hurts to open with "Big River" which I believe is Johnny Cash, but known by many Deadheads. Fleetwood Mac's "Rhiannon" was another cover done well. Lots of effects on their acoustic instruments made them very Jamband sounding. Would go to Aura again and also see Stringdusters!

Another stellar performance featuring their music and covers, ample room for jamming. IN anticipation of receiving their first Grammy, and on the final stop before some time off, they were on top of their game, though they always seem to revel in playing together. This is a band that is best enjoyed live. Come prepared to dance.

These guys play real instruments, real good. A unique, high energy, melodic, rhythmic blend of very high quality instrumental and vocal music.Their originals are well-crafted, and they select and stylize covers in an interesting way. Birdsong was great!

Excellent show and fantastic musicians. They tend to go into long jams which I could do without. I had rather hear more of their fabulous songs instead of whipping each song into an extended frenzy, but overall very enjoyable.

I'm sure serious fans are going to be irate at this review but when I saw these guys open for Yonder Mtn they did a lot of traditional blue grass plus some really cool covers and medleys. I remembered wishing they had played longer. Well now they're the main event and no doubt virtuosos but endless jams start to sound the same after a while. And none (not one) of the funky cool covers I remembered. After taking a LONG break they came back to do a second lengthy set but after a few more that all blended into each other we'd had enough and ducked out early.

This is the 6th time that I have seen the Stringdusters and the show matched the others in total excellence. Their musicianship was once again second to none, and Jeremy Garrett's fiddle playing was mind blowing. These guys are the best, the very best, at what they do and it was worrht the 3 1/2 hour ride and getting lost in DC to see them. Anybody that has a chance to see the Stringdusters should not let that chance pass them by.

Literally the best concert I've ever attended!!! I was in Virginia visiting friends and I saw that The Infamous Stringdusters were playing at The National. I was blown away by how gorgeous The National is and the band was Amazing! The National is a great venue for concerts because the building has nice acoustics and it was clean. My only complaint is the beers were a little expensive.

. I have heard the Stringdusters in a smaller venue and thoroughly enjoyed them. But Saturday night the acoustics were terrible. We started out downstairs, under the balcony and after the first set moved upstairs hoping they would sound better. While there was a slight improvement, overall the sound was terrible. Everything was just loud, there was no definition between the music and the voices. I was terribly disappointed and don't know if I will spend the money to try to hear anyone there again. Thanks for the opportunity to rate my experience (first visit).

Stringdusters always put on a great show. Only heard of them because they opened for yonder mountain string band last year. I've seen them three times now. Each show better than the last. Bowery Ballroom was great. They mixed it up a bit and showed they are more than ready to be headliners.

The Infamous Stringdusters were amazing at their concert at The Basement in Columbus. They know how to work the crowd. The venue was the perfect size. The group has great musicality, lyrics, and I've rarely seen jam sessions get a crowd so hyped up. I'd recommend them to anyone who likes country, folk, folk rock, and bluegrass!

This was a great show! Great opening band and then the Infamous Stringdusters came on and played two extremely solid sets! This was my first time seeing the Dusters and they absolutely floored me. They were seemingly flawless. Their setlist (which I got an autographed copy of) was incredible, great originals and spot on covers (Grateful Dead and John Hartford.) This will not be my last time seeing this band! We traveled from Pensacola to Atlanta for this show and then was surprised to see they were also doing a last minute in store performance that we also caught the tail end of! Good times!

The Infamous Stringdusters were excellent I do not want to take away from that but I was blown away but Hot Day at the Zoo. The chemistry within this group shines in their music and performance. You can hear the happiness and pain coming through Michael Dions lyrics so much so that you feel like you are reliving the story he is telling. If you have not had a chance to check these guys out do it the next time you can it wont be long from now that you wont be able to see this group in an intimate setting.

I have been aware of the "dusters for quite a while, I've Known Andy Falco as a musician for close to 16 years. So I was excited to finally catch them here in NY. After a terrific set by"Hot day at the Zoo" The "Dusters came on to a big round of applause. I don't know all their songs yet, but I didn't need to know the names to enjoy the music. These five guys push and cajole and tease each other into amazing feats of string legerdemain. The "normal Bluegrass tune is usually a few minutes long, but when musicians of this caliber get together the "Silver Sky" is the limit. The twist and pull these songs till there is nothing left to say. My mind id still reeling. And Two whole sets of musical mayhem. I can't wait for them to come back this way again. I'll be there!
