This show was unbelievably good! My wife and I had a fantastic time. We had front row mezzanine seats near the center of the stage and they were AWESOME! The cast was very talented and could sing and dance wonderfully. My wife enjoyed the scene right before the intermission and I enjoyed the Oaken scene and loved the way Olaf was put into the show....even Sven looked real life. GO SEE THIS SHOW! :)

Going into this show I had very high expectations considering my family and I are self proclaimed Frozen consesiours. Upon watching the show we were blown away by the special effects, particarillt the magical aspects of Elsa s personality. We thought that the show was one of the most unique and memorable broadway experiences we have ever been to. The cast was perfect for their roles. In particular, the women who played Elsa had a standout performance and we considered to be the best part of the show overall. However, at some points the show felt like the characters had a lack of chemistry. The costumes could have been improved in some areas as well. Overall, the venue was incredible and the permanent was excellent. We would highly recommend this show to anyone who is in the broadway area. As Frozen lovers, we can assure you that the value is worth it and the experience is one in a lifetime.

This performance contains tremendous talent! The lighting effects were stunning! At one point my 11 year old daughter leaned over and whispered, "this is even better than the movie" which she absolutely adores! I think the critic in the NY Times had it all wrong and forgot who his audience is. This is really fantastic entertainment!!

I was really impressed with the caliber of this production, not only from a staging perspective, but from the performances as well. Boring, no chemistry between the cast, no character development, disjointed. The production relies entirely on their projections and not on cast performances. Anna and Elsa have great voices but are not believable. If you want to see a great Disney show, go to Anastasia or Lion King.

I had read mixed reviews of Frozen and thought it was geared mainly to children so it wasn t my first choice for a show for myself and another adult. But since we won the lottery to buy discount tickets, we decided to give it a shot and are very glad we did. We enjoyed it much more than we had expected to and even teared up at the ends of both acts. Our seats at the far left of row D were labeled partial view. We couldn t see the actors for about 5% of the production. Choosing seats on the far right side might have been better. But since we got great close-up views of the action for the other 95% of the show, we re very grateful that we got seats so close to the stage. It seemed as though half of the audience was children, many of them in Elsa costumes. The St. James Theatre provides a live feed of the production in the lobby for younger guests who start to feel restless. We didn t notice any restless theatergoers near us. The audience gave the show a very enthusiastic reception.

Frozen was a wonderful evening of world class theatre. I am a grown man, and when I got my tickets from will-call I couldn't help but squeal a little in pure delight and that squeal was well rewarded with magnificent performances across the board. The special effects and staging provided real life magic as the snow queen built her castle in the mountains above Arendelle. The costumes were bright and fun, and pulled the whole show together. The theater even let you take pictures during the Curtain call which many people enjoyed in an otherwise NO camera zone.

I liked it; didn't love it. The book & music are not as strong as Beauty and the Beast or Lion King. I thought Elsa and Anna were well-cast. Caissie Levy s Let it Go was outstanding. I liked the special effects and Sven and Olaf. Now that I ve seen it, I think the NYTimes review hit some good points, but was a little harsh. I d recommend at a face-value ticket price for Disney fans. Also recommend for introducing children to Broadway musicals.

My husband and I took our two boys (ages 6 1/2 and 7 1/2) to see Frozen on July 15th. The music and magic were AMAZING!!! The boys really enjoyed the magic especially, and I was very impressed with the sets and how they were able to make the frozen magic come alive! I was in tears most of the first half - it was that amazing! The cast was fabulous!! While I loved the show, there are many differences from the movie. This threw off the boys (and my husband) a bit. It's more difficult for them to understand why those changes were made. The new songs are wonderful and move the story along in this stage version; however, it does make it harder for kids to stay engaged. Also, there is a funny scene and new song for Oaken, which are really good! However, a caution to parents that the sauna-going folks do come out in nude-stockings to give the appearance that they are naked at the end of that song. While they are not actually nude, and the song and dance are very entertaining, I personally do not think that it was a necessary gag, since the show is geared toward kids. Ultimately, I got the question "are they really naked!?". Also, be prepared that the forest trolls are not made of rock and Pabbie is not old in this version - it takes some getting used to, but again, their scenes were well done and the actors who portrayed Pabbie and Bulda did an amazing job!

One of the better Disney stage adaptations, partly because the composers are the same as for the movie and have lots of Broadway experience. The new songs actually flesh out the story and are pleasant to listen to. Phenomenal talent on stage. Only a few overly campy moments.

Despite very unwelcoming service from front of house agent who first refused to issue booked ticket, because I came to pick up the ticket at 1 pm for a 6.30 pm show. Despite the long queues to get a drink and to get an overpriced programme, once in seat, which I paid over $ 250 center orchestra, I was struggling a little for perfect view of the stage as someone taller was sitting in front of me. .... The show is very nicely crafted and aesthetics are splendid a la Disney. Very Enjoyable cast with some very nice new songs. Enjoyable experience altogether but for the front of house , seat and overpriced merchandising !

A fun show that, of course, is competing with the movie version of itself. We loved the story and diversity of the cast was brilliant. So relatable for families! The leads all sang well and put their hearts in it. The chorus is brilliant and totally steals the show. The number with the Swedish outpost folks is awesome! The orchestra was precise and was not too loud so maybe someone on broadway is finally getting it that cranking up everyone s mic s is not a good idea. I usually bring earplugs to a broadway show but Frozen didn t require me to use them! The theater is very uncomfortable and not raked enough so I had to constantly move my head back and forth to see since the person in front of me had to as well and the person in front of her, etc. My daughter had a booster seat and also had trouble seeing. I know it s an old theater but a seat renovation would keep people coming. I won t pursue going again to that theater.

Although the performances are excellent, including the voice of Elsa and the comedic performance of Anna, the production is the worst of all the Disney musicals. It feels like a production that you would get at Disneyworld venue directed at children rather than a Broadway show. The added plot is sophomoric, the dialogue boring and the second act tedious. Except for the one added comedic number the added songs are forgetful. It seems rushed to Broadway when it needed a major overhaul. The effects were soso. Seats at the side should be discounted as they miss the majority of the effects. The theater has few amenities. If you are a die hard fan of the movie or have girls under 14 you will attend. But if you are deciding what show to see this is not the caliber of Beauty and the Beast, Lion King or Aladdin.

Both versions of Anna stole the show in this spectacular musical! It was like being in the animated film, only better. We had 3rd row center seats - close enough to be blinded by Elsa's super gorgeous ice dress. Oaken getting his own dance number added to the merriment. This is one not to miss on Broadway.

See it if your curiosity about Disney s newest Broadway musical is keeping you up at night. Don't see it if you are able to get reasonably priced tickets to any of the following musicals: Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton, The Band s Visit, The Book of Mormon, Chicago, Kinky Boots, Wicked, or The Lion King. Otherwise, just rent the DVD of the original animated movie and save yourself some money. Frozen The Musical isn t an awful show, but I was disappointed. Almost two months to the day since the first preview, I finally got to attend a matinee performance of the show through the magic of the online ticket lottery. For the low price of $35.00, I sat seven rows from the stage in what can best be described as a partial view seat even though I was NEVER informed when accepting the ticket that it was in fact a partial view seat (couldn t see 20 percent of the stage left side of the stage). For the most part, the Broadway musical sticks pretty close to the same storyline of the Disney animated feature with only a few minor changes due to the live action nature of the show. Patti Murin and Caissie Levy are well cast as sisters Anna and Elsa. The character of Olaf was well embodied by Greg Hildreth. I specifically loved the Adam Jepsen s performance as Sven the reindeer. Other than that, by the time the song Let It Go was performed, I was totally ready to LET GO of my experience of seeing Frozen the musical. I should have just rented the animated movie and been done with it.

I had purchased tickets the minute they went up for presale, I've been a Frozen Fan since I fell in love with Idina Menzel's performance at the Oscars for "Let It Go!" As a tumblr user, I had seen clips, vids, pics, audio, everything that fans could post plus all the publicity photos and releases that Disney had put out. I was PUMPED! And my final evaluation: It was everything I had hoped it would be. This was my first trip to Broadway, although I've seen touring shows. It was WONDERFUL! The St. James theater is cozy, but the staff was polite and warm and caring. I use a mobility scooter (yes, old ladies love Disney, too!) and they were so helpful, parking it for me once I had gotten to my seat, and returning it after the show in a timely manner. The staging was excellent, the lighting and music and special effects were splendid. The additional story and songs added so much emotional depth to the tale of a family torn apart and then reunited. And the cast? The cast was superb. Caissie Levy and Patti Murin were Elsa and Anna brought to magical life. The younger actors (Mattea Conforti was Anna for our show) were also perfect. The ensemble sang and danced their hearts out, and the staging of the final storm where Anna freezes was ... ingenious There were many small children in costumes in the audience (a Sunday matinee), the little guy dressed as Kristoff across the aisle from us was a charmer. Speaking of Kristoff, Jelani Alladin has a beautiful, expressive voice and really played the role to a fare-thee-well. His chemistry with Patti Murin as Anna worked! My two friends and I did the stage door after the show. The theater staff had a well designed autograph line setup, and the actors who came out were so gracious and happy to sign autographs! The actor who played Oaken stayed in character and was a real charmer. Greg Hildreth (Olaf) worked the entire line and hung around the longest and took a selfie with me! Unfortunately, Patti, Caissie, John Riddle and Jelani Alladin did not appear. I'm sure they had a commitment of some sort, because they have been seen in a lot of twitter and instagram posts with the fans at the stage door. It was a small disappointment, but not enough to detract from the overall terrific experience of the afternoon. All I can say is, if you are a fan of Frozen, this ticket is worth it! I intend to go see it again as soon as possible, even though I live in the midwest. The picture I attached to this review is the view from our hotel window! I didn't want us to be too far away to walk!

My son was so excited when I surprised him with this musical during the Tartan Day parade. He could not contained his excitement during the first hour. He insisted that I clapped loudly after each and every song. We were probably the only father son combo. I enjoyed the visuals very much. Costumes were great, even if I had to watch Anna in underwear a couple times for costume changes. After one hour, he started dozing off. It was late and a lot of the scenes were dimly lit. During intermission, he wanted to go back to the hotel. I took him outside for fresh air and that worked. The second act started with Huey Gay (?), and I cringed as it was risqué. How to explain why the branches were positioned where they were. Now, there is no nudity but ... The kids really really loved it. The script might need some revision, again for this to last a long time. Remove the death scenes, make it a bump in the head and the parents getting old without a funeral scene. Brighten the scenes, especially the mountain ones in Act 1. That will keep the kids awake. No risqué nude costumes, make them wear bright color ones. Not sure what to do with Han s sword scene since I like the ice scene. By the way, am I the only one to think he has a powerful voice? The theater is very compact so I was shocked it can hold 1700. There are lots of resellers, no need to pay full price. I would watch it again, but just to see my kid rock with excitement!

Young and older Anna was fabulous. New songs did nothing for the show. Overall, my family enjoyed it. They did a great job with the stage props on such a small stage.

How incredible it was to see a Disney show that felt it was talking to adults! The characters were so well developed and their voices were incredible. The lighting and special effects brought to magic the power of snow and love. It was a show I would go watch again in a heartbeat

Impressively well done! Loved that they stayed true to the movie while also adding the 'something extra' for the stage. I have seen numerous shows and this one had moments that truly had me 'dropping my jaw'. Incredibly impressive and well done on the settings, tech, and lighting. This show is one of the rare shows that can transport you to another world. Highly recommended!

Frozen is a show for the entire family. It has all that makes a great musical...excellent storyline, creative staging, colorful costumes, great choreography, an amazing cast, beautiful music. It is a wonderful Disney work, with all the "magic" that comes with it. Disney did it again! This show will be around for decades. It is timeless. What more could you want? This show appeals to all ages and definitely is not just for children. Bravo!

We were not sure what to expect, especially when surrounded by children. But the show was done well! The special effects made the ice look real. The show was made for both children and adults!

My kids and I enjoyed the show very much. Cassie as Elsa was awesome. Her vocals were pretty amazing. I was not too excited about Aisha's performance. I am not sure but I did not connect well. Loved Kristoff what an amazing work by Jalani. I wish Oaken was played by a really hulking person. Aguilla looked more like a leprechaun. Overall we had an amazing 2 hours of wonderful entertainment! Great show!

For a Disney production it was quite bland. Decent acting, boring sets, unforgettable new music. Stick to the movie, it's a whole lot better.

From the first note of the introduction to the last note of the finale, Frozen was incredible! The singers were phenomenal, the orchestra was spot on, the costumes and sets were beautiful, and the special effects were fantastic! The venue staff was friendly and helpful, the only thing that was a bit problematic was how tight the seating was in the mezzanine. But, if you get a chance, go see this wonderful production.

I have to admit that I am a little Frozen-ed out. I have seen the movie a million times with my girls. I do love the story, and I decided it was a must to go to NY to see it on Broadway. The show did not disappoint. The music was great. The cast was amazing. The show was funny, touching, and all that a Disney show should be. The show really pulled off the icy magic of Elsa. My kids favorite part was when Elsa changed into her "Frozen" dress. It was so quick that everyone seemed to be impressed. I was surprised how many children were at the show even though I shouldn't have been since the story is really tailored to a younger audience.

The show was fantastic. Everyone performed amazingly and it was a fun time. My only complaint and it is a small one: the seats I had were still kind of partial view even though they were not called it. I still saw almost the entirety of the show but there were a few moments. Overall, H21 and H23 seats were still fantastic and I loved the show.

I really enjoyed Frozen. Loved how it stayed true to the movie, but added new songs that were totally right for the musical. Enjoyed the entire cast and I smiled, laughed and cried during the performance.

Frozen was a disappointment. The songs from the movie were performed well and the cast is strong. But, the additional music for the show is mediocre and there the emphasis seems be on the technical effects rather than presenting a cohesive story. In fact, during the performance I saw, there was a technical glitch. "Let It Go" had to be done over after a delay to reset the effects.

Wow!! The talent of these actors/singers was off the charts. Beautiful story, slightly changed for the stage. Special effects were amazing!! When Elsa s dress changed, I was just balling with joy and excitement... and the woman can sing!!! It made us laugh! Adult humor was fantastic. A great show for all ages!! Bravo!

Conversion from a successful & entertaining movie was left in the freezer! Outside of the one hit song sung at the conclusion of the first act and end of the show, a 4 star flop!!!! Logic, creativity, & entertainment skills were left in the cutting room! Strongly suggest if you have tickets for an upcoming performance, get the family together & burn them. It will make for a much better evening!

Took our two kids (14 and 12) and it was phenomenal. The visual effects for the set "freezing over" were stunning and it was just a beautiful and fun show. We saw several younger kids, but also couples with no kids. There were a few cheeky lines that appeal to adults the way they do in kids movies now, so it will appeal to people of all ages.
