Rocklahoma

This was my 4th Rocklahoma, and my second year of camping all 3 days! We love it and look forward to next year! The only thing we would like to see changed is the bringing in the coolers and our own beer. Make it for the ones who have the 3 day camping pass only, and stipulate size off cooler and beer only, no liquor. :-)

Rocklahoma rocked me hard, Rob Zombie rocked me!!!

While the big-name talent was booked to the main stage, by far the better talent played the secondary stage, aka Hard Rock Stage. P.O.D., Hellyeah, Aranda, and the best band of the weekend, Volbeat. The intimacy of the second stage, with the sound pounding through the crowd and your body. It's the best venue of the weekend.

3 crazy-awesome days that will be in my memory forever. This was my first year at Rocklahoma, and I'm already looking forward to next years line-up, and planing on going again, VIP again for sure. I posted so many pictures on my facebook that got so many comments from my friends, that for sure will be going with me next year as well. Security was great, mostly everything was great, except that they need more bathrooms and one extra buffet because on saturday and sunday the lines were terrible. Not to mention more beer stands, only one was a joke..always tons of people there..

FANTASTIC! BEST 3 DAYS OF ROCK EVER!!! All of the bands sounded great, although I was partial to Drowning Pool, Rev Theory, Papa Roach and Motley Crue! 2nd stage bands sounded great also, I especially enjoyed Taddy Porter, All That Remains and Adelita's Way. Due to a late plane, I missed New Medicine (who always rocks) and Sick Puppies - maybe next year. All in all, a fantastic value - I definitely recommend going VIP - it costs a little more but with the free food and beer - it more than makes up for it.

Best show of my life. Great bands, great camping, great food. A do not miss show

Whitesnake got the show off to a rockin start. Love them. Seether, Papa Roach, and Black Lable did not let me down either.

Lots of fun! It was my son's first rock concert and he had such a blast. I know he wants to go next year already.

Overall it was a very fun event. I do however recommend that if you go to purchase the VIP package. Not only because its closer to the stages and all of the perks which I admit are awesome but because the event is very disorganized for general admission ticket holders and because the event staff are very rude to general admission people.

I came specifically to see Skillet! They were awesome!

The VIP pass is the ONLY way to go!!!! Free Food...Free Beer and Kick-Ass Performances....what more can you ask for???

I will never miss another Rocklahoma EVER again! That was one of the best times of my life and I was sad to leave!

Event is always well planned. The sidestage under the white tent had great bands but the sound system needs to be improved on. No bass and just a bunch of mismatched speakers throw together. With that said I had a great time in that tent while waiting for other bands to start. Just really work on make that stage better especially the sound system. Otherwise I plan on coming back next year. Thanks for a great event. I would like to see a band like Kiss headline next year. Big hair bands from the 80s really sell..

Greatest show. So entertaining, music, light show, stage presents. I get excited every time I talk about Rocklahoma!!!

Don't think you can match the number of new., up and coming , current and oldies but goodies rock bands you get to see for the price. Also the festival grounds are top notch and Pryor welcomes you!!

Rocklahoma was the best time me and my fiancée have had since we've been together. And we plan on attending every year from now on.

Amazing lineup! 4 stages all playing in rotation one rt after another. The fans were great too! I will definitely be back year after year!

I had the greatest time. The bands was amazing live and it was bad ass to have all the different bands for 3 days rock a kick ass performance we got VIP for the free beer so me and my husband got drunk rocked out to rains, rob zombie, trivium, slash ect we loved it!!!!

I seen 28 bands on the main stage and 2nd stage in 3 days!! The reaered seat VIP/ catering tent was amazing and cool. Free food, soda, water, and free beer!!! The Groupie VIP tent was a bit warmer inside that of the outside temp but we had our own bathrooms and our own bartender and the line was always short. The girl running the Groupie Tent was great and super nice. The upfront main stage access was unreal!! You are 4ft from the main stage!! Now if we could do the same on the 2nd stage I would give it 6 stars out of 5!! Over all it was a great 3 day fest!!!

I love Ticketmaster, they are always great at prompt and friendly service! I had an excellent time at Rocklahoma, and definitely will be attending again and again!! Just need to recruit more people to go with me, more people, bigger party!!!

The event was really fun! The only bummer were the sheriffs harassing people in the VIP seating area, checking all the wristbands after people were already sitting down. Because part of the section D had worn off on my wristband, I was forced to leave and miss 10 minutes of Jackyl while they "verified" my ticket. They should check them at the entrances if they have to, but they should not disturb paying customers during performances...but the music itself was great.

Great 3 day festival. One of the best I have ever attended highly recommend

Best 3 days of my life! Camp out there if you have the option. Its a party every night the ppl out there are awesome. Every yr we meet new friends and I can't wait til next year already!

Slash was good and so was Creed. Definitely missed Brett Michaels this time around. Please being back the hair bands!

This is my one vacation every year and i work as much overtime as I can for Rocklahoma. Everyone can be themselves and enjoy great music for three days. We will be back every year and that's a guarantee!

my favorite band is a smaller one escape the fate they were the only band that didn't show i was enraged did my hair all crazy big and had a rippped up etf shirt and i was mad my senior trip ruined cause i didn't even get to see my band.....

I had a long drive to get there, missed some of my favorite bands, but it was great. The camping out made it even better. The only downer for me was the restroom facilities but other than that, it was worth it!

Damn ROCKLAHOMA is amazing!!! The entertainment, food, service, and Lynn Hernandez!!!!

The event was awesome like I said in the title B.L. S. stole the show & should have been on the main stage.

The people that work for Rocklahoma are friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were great. The music is unforgettable. I had just an all around fantastic, incredible,amazing and completely kickass time.

Rocklahoma was a great 3 day festival, if not a little hot, but that's Oklahoma weather. I have to say, if it wasn't for hanging out with bands & being able to go backstage & use the "real" artists bathrooms, I don't know what I would've done, because the only choice to the public is porta-potties! YUK! Friday & Sunday were the best days musically, though, I did enjoy Sebastian Bach on Sat. You could find me with Black Label Society on Sunday, who were the best, & should've been on the main stage, instead of the 2nd one! Will I do Rocklahoma next year? Yep, but with better planning!

An awesome event! Many bands, several different stages. Having bands stagger play times made it so convient to see any of the bands on the venue. Already excited to see the event return next year!

Great time was had by all ..I will most likely be going again next year

Three days of unforgettable fun. It will be an annual event for me & my husband. Good variety of rock music...something to please everyone. The VIP pass is the way to go! Good food, cold beer, and decent potties (compared to the general admission ones). The seats could have been better (got a splinter in my hand) because they are like a wooden bench, but when the main stage was rocking....I was standing anyways. The last day the line up was awesome! Saving Abel, Seether, Poison, Black Label Society, Motley Crue, and Friday & Saturday were not bad either.

Best festival I have been to! Definately recommened to all my friends.

Show was great. Maybe could have spread out start times so you could see EVERY band. some bands overlapped. VIP ticket with all you can eat buffett and beer was worth every penny. will definately do it again next year

The whole three day experience was unforgettable. The bands and atmosphere were great!!! This was my second trip to this event and this years line up is going to be hard to top next year. Cant wait to see if the promoters can get that done.

I have gone every year and I went VIP this year I recommend it for everyone free beer and food and it was great food not cheap soooooo worth it!!!

The shows were all amazing except for Motly Crüe. Vince ruined the show for the Crüe. Other than that the entire weekend was great. The facilities are very nice and kept very clean. The food is great. The security is good and always available. It would be real nice to have a concert book of the event!!! Shirts do not last forever.

Great shows, and great lineup! I loved Whitesnake, motley crue, Seether, Gracious few, papa roach..

I was highly disappointed with the "VIP Pass" that was suppose to be a better experience than general admission. I expected to be well taken care of and not inconvenienced in the least, but instead, the staff, of which there was not enough of, was very rude and the all you can eat buffet was on their schedule and if you didn't want to stand in line for 45 minutes and miss the music you basically would not get to eat. The line for beer was ridiculous! A total of 4 people serving beer to over 350 people. That was not very well thought out....nor was the campsite situation. I paid more for a VIP campsite than for a GA campsite, but it was further away from the concert area and had less staff and bathrooms for the campers. I was told there would be many employees in golf carts to drive us back and forth from the campsite to the concert area, but there were very few and most even refused (I don't mean they didn't offer, but refused when we asked) to give us a ride to or from our campsite. Yes it was nice to be closer to the stage, but I'm not sure it was worth over $200 more and extra inconvenience and stress! This type of ticket should enhance the experience, but for me, it made it awful! I do not plan to return to Rocklahoma. If I did I would never waste my money on the so called "VIP Pass" because it is bollocks!

The event staff were very friendly, organized and helpful. The band lineup was a little weak compared to last year. But all and all the 5 of us had fun and enjoyed the event

the sound system rocked, the crowd was amazing, never any lines and really clean everywhere - and the bands were so prepared and tight - one band was taking their bows and the next band started up. It was the best show I've ever been to - can't wait until next year!

Last year was my first year to experience Rocklahoma and I must say I had a blast! Got to meet Papa Roach, which was AWESOME!!! and they rocked it out!!! and of course Motley Crue rocked!!!! I definately got my rock on at Rocklahoma!!!! and plan to go again this year! : )

It was our first time to Rocklahoma all the way from Singapore. Overall it was a great event with awesome bands and we met some cool friends. But unfortunately, our VIP is pretty much screwed up on the first day. We didn't know that a wrist band is needed for pit access. Well, in the beginning, the VIP booth did not give us what we supposed to have. The security refused to grant us entry even after I told him that we are on the "groupie package", he SHOULD at least advise us what to do instead of pushing us away as if we were trying to fake entry. C'mon, US$499 ain't cheap. When we got back to the hotel later at night, I look up on the website again to make sure our package includes pit access, and yes, it does. We went back the next day and the lady from the booth immediately put on the wrist bands for us when we show our tickets again. I was so glad that it happened on the first day and not the 2nd or 3rd day when my favourite bands are playing, I will probably gone berserk if that ever happens. Rocklahoma deserves 5 stars, but I couldn't forgive and forget their staffs' neglection. Win me back next year Rocklahoma! BTW, Black Label Society should be on the main stage!!!!!!

The concerts were amazing!! There were great performances by my darkest days, papa roach, poison & many others. The food they served in the VIP package was really delicious. The unlimited beer would have been great but it was 3:2 beer and was awful. The camping was ok. The only reason I didn't give the show an excellent was because the camping would have been better if they separated the tent campers from the rv's. I didn't sleep much any of the 4 nights because of loud generators running all night. Some were quiet, but 2 were like chain saws running all night. I won't buy VIP again. Not worth it when beer & camping suck. I'll just stay in GA.

Every band brought their A game!!!!! It was such an awesome time I am pumped about what next year will bring!!

I COULD GO ON AND ON!! I KNEW P ROACH AND D.P. WERE GONNA KICKASS AND THEY DIDNT DISAPPOINT...BUT HONESTLY...NOT ONE BAD SHOW THEY ALL ROCKED...BEST ROCKLAHOMA EVA!!!!!!

What a GREAT time we had- the bands were awesome, the comradarie amongst the people was great- just an all around genuinely grand time!!! It was our first year- we camped with some friends who, like us had never been, along with people that have gone most years- so we had some good guides as where to go and what to do. We have already decided to go next year, unlesss there are no bands we like- honestly some of the best bands I heard were ones I had never ever heard of....we made lots of new band friends - truly a great experience!!

This was my very first Rocklahoma experience. The line up was great and I enjoyed every single band that I was able to watch. I also stayed in the VIP campground area and enjoyed that as well. The bands that played throughout the campgrounds during the night were a lot of fun and I enjoyed just walking around having fun and taking in all that is Rocklahoma! The 3-day VIP pass is truly the best way to experience this event! I'll be back next year!

This was the best Rocklahoma by far. The bands were the biggest draw of crowds. Music sound was excellent. VIP tent was great place to cool down. Not really cold could have used some fans to provide more air, but nice if you sat in the right spot. VIP food excellent. Portable potties kept clean this year much more than last year.

This was 3rd Rocklahoma and as always it was great! Slash, Megadeth, and Chickenfoot were unforgetable!!

Rob Zombie rules. This show just keeps getting better and better. Having Octane involved really helps me because I live for new hard rock.

I had a fantastic time at Rocklahoma! It was well organized and all the bands were great! The only complaint I have is that internet reception was almost nothing. Even the bands were complaining about it. It would be nice if it could be set up as a wi-fi hotspot. Other than that I give it an A+.

For the most part the music was great. We were a little disappointed in Theory of a Deadman and Puddle of Mud. Their voices seemed shot. I stayed in the VIP camping. Did not like the lines for meals and the beer seemed watered down. Loved having reserved seats. I don't think Rob Zombie should have cussed out the people in the pit for having their cell phones out taking pictures. Adelita's Way was great, Blackstone Cherry was great. So many bands were great. Jackyl was the worst of everyone I saw. They talked way too much. It was great camping and not having to leave. The showers are a long ways from the VIP camping.

This is the first festival I have been to that I had to strain to hear the band play on the main stage. The drunk guys all around us were singing with Megadeth and we had to strain to hear Dave sing. The speakers were not rigged up properly or adjusted to proper levels because we were literally 20 feet from the stage and should have been blown away from the music, not searching for the sound. Pretty much ruined it for us as that is the only band we came to see and drove 8 hours round trip to see it. Sad.

It was just amazing seeing all the bands and having fun with every person around!

This event is awsome. 3 days of great bands on 3 stages. Plus there was a stage in the campground and a few campsites had a stage of their own. The music actually started Thursday afternoon. It's a 4 day party. Zombie, Megadeath, Chickenfoot, Slash, Jackyl, Black Stone Cherry, Hell Yeah and over 50 more bands made this a weekend I will never forget. I drove 20 hours to get there and it was worth it. I will be going again next year. ROCK ON!!!!!!!

It was my first year, it was awesome! Next year i am defiantly spending the money for better tickets. Its worth it!

The lack of 'hair bands' was greatly appreciated. Whoever put this line up together has their finger on the pulse of music and should be commended! Will return next year if the Alternative music continues. Job Well Done !!!!!

It was awesome. Recomend it to every head banging rocker. Some of the bands could of put on a better show for the audience. Thought 2011 had better bands then this year and some of the acts should have played longer. You guys that own rocklahoma need to have a bigger stage and more special effects. I think it would be better if the bands interacted with the crowd more.

My husband and I love this event and look forward to it every year. The music and atmosphere is so much fun. I'm sick of the judgement that there will be all kinds of bad things happening at Rocklahoma from non attenders. I feel safe, everyone is chill and having a great time. We are there from open to close all three days and I never saw one fight or felt unsafe. This is a great place to hang out and enjoy the music you love, meet new and interesting people from all over the world, camp and love life. Great shows!

VOLBEAT AND ROB ZOMBIE STOLE THE SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The bands were all great. Rob Zombie was the best. P.O.D. and Jackyl were the most fun. The facilities and food were much better then I expected. My only complaint was with the toilet paper, is it possible to get 1/4 ply? I mean I don't expect charmin or anything, but is 1 ply too much to ask. You could literally see through it. Other than that it was a great festival. I will be back next year.

other than kiss rob zombie was the best concert i have ever seen ,ive been to all 6 rocklahomas and im never disapointed.

Amazing venue, the camping experience was epic. The energy of Hellyeah and Rob Zombie blew my mind. Rob Zombie had an amazing stage presence and performance. He is a top tier entertainer, perfect fit on the main stage. Hellyeah on the other hand, placed on the smaller side stage provided a more intimate/party vibe, perfect for this band and their music/persona. I will certainly be back next year, along with more friends. Book Hellyeah again if possible.. best show of my life.

Wonderful festival! This was my second year going to Rocklahoma and we will be back next year! This festival is handled so much better than Rockfest in Kansas City! Three stages to choose from. Lots of room, you're not crammed in shoulder to shoulder. Every employee we came across was friendly, helpful and professional. Its clean with plenty of recepticals. The campground is a lot of fun, a lot of commradare. As a female, I felt safe and comfortable the entire time. Highly recommend, even if you have children (there's adult stuff going on, so mind the little ones).

The main headliners is where Rocklahoma needed help. Chickenfoot should never be brought back. The best night was friday with Slash and Creed. Get bands like ZZ Top, Bush, Faith No More, Def Leppard, My Darkest Days, Sick Puppies, Sixx Am

This was my first year to attend rocklahoma and it was amazing! I would recommend it to everyone to experience at least once.

What's not to love about a three-day festival full of awesome bands and cold beer? The line-ups just got better and better every day, and there was always a great band either playing or fixing to play.

Man it was awesome from beginning to end. All the concerts in VIP camp starting Thursday to Saturday. Then Friday and Saturday man oh man awesome, and Sunday rocked it up and changed me forever!!!

Had a blast. The campground was awesome. Inside the venue fence needed more restrooms.

Always love Motley Crue... need better seating... better sound

Hard to say who was best. LOVED Adelitas Way, POP Evil, Rev Theory, Papa Roach, everyone was great. Was disappointed in Seether performance. Music was awesome, but Shaun didn't bother to engage with crowd.

it was great cant wait till next years show it was a bit pricey but with the VIP treatment it was worth it . Great food and drinks they did a great job

On the positive note, from the first night, Whitesnake put it all out there for their fans. Didn't think anyone would come close to the showmanship they did. They set a high bar for the weekend. But I was wrong. Every band after that, knew they had to "BRING IT!!!"... and they did! The downsides are, (1) the vendors could have used the closed vendor rooms to sell more merchandise and made a lot more money. The merchant lines were long and not moving. A little disappointed I didn't get all the shirts I wanted and (2) the porta potties were not cleaned on a regular basis and were unusable. Really disgusting and unsanitary.

All 3 Main Headliners did not deserve to be headliners. (Whitesnake, Staind, Motley) Whitesnake played 4 songs in a row in the middle of the set that no one knew. Staind looked like they did not want to be there. in fact, he even said he hated singing one of the most popular songs. Motley was good, but Poison rocked the house.

I love the whole experience. 3 days, camping out, party 24/7 over 40 bands, best concert ever!!!! Skillet, Seether, Whitesnake, Montly Crue, Poison, Papa Roach, Staind Just to name a few, this is the first year i ever heard about this, i loved every moment of it, im going every year now !!!

All the bands put on a great show! The event was very well organized considering the amount of people present...80s rock was kick ass

had a great time. the food was incredible and the free beer was well worth the price of the ticket. the few things that they could improve is the lines on the first day. we stood in line to get in and then we stood in line for wrist band upgrades. buy the time we got our wrist bands we missed the first couple of bands and the gates open at three and the first band started at three fifteen. another problem was the beer line there was only one place to get the free beer and when everybody bought the upgrades on sunday it took for ever to get beer. everybody from workers to people watching the show was very friendly. we had our campsite out all weekend and nothing was missing or messed with. heard alot of people saying that black label society should have been on the main stage.

Most definitely one of the more enjoyable music events I have attended! Can't wait til next year!!!

The groups were great...The biggest problem was the bathroom situation...7 port-a-potties for all those people! The lines were unbelievable! The need to do a much better job with that...

The concert it self was great, every band was at their best, the giant screens were helpful especially when another band was at the other stage and you didnt want to lose your spot. The main stage should really be extended out like a semi circle or almost an island because unless you were directly in front you could not see the drummer of any band and sometimes the lead singer because they would walk back to the back. this would also benefit a majority of the crowd because the way the vip section was setup you were a ways from the stage. Speaking of vip everyone was complaining about how hard the seats were in vip and i had a lot of friends come and sit in my nice folding chair so they could actually relax.The food was extremely good. The boneless chicken was a favorite and the lemonade was awesome because refills were $2.00. You honestly would have sold more beer a made a better profit if beer was a dollar cheaper. No body felt like drinking. RV hook ups would have been an immense help because of all the generators that everybody was using. You could charge whatever amount to use hook ups and everyone would be happy. Having a bigger front gate with more staff would be nice, and a yawning for everyone waiting to get in. There really should be a walkway connecting all the areas of rocklahoma outside the concert area instead of making people walk on the road where people were constantly hocking for people to get out of the way.The bands themselves were great!

For being my first time to Roclahoma I was impressed. VIP Tix are the way to go if you really want to enjoy the show everything was included as stated. The staff was very helpful and answered every question I had even though there were 40,000 ppl there. The only problem I had was getting to see every band I wanted to see play. Some were playing at the same time on seperate stages so had to pick n choose which I wanted to see most. Other than that I will be back...............

The variety of band thats were booked were exceptional. I listen the heavy metal-80's and 90's- but having the option to listen to newer band was great!! My only critisism was that the venue didnt open til 3pm and the main stage didnt start til 4pm?? In 2008 when I went, bands were playing on the main stage by noon??? The ability to be able to go up to the front of the stage to take pics- even with General Admission tiks- IS PRICELESS!! AND THE BEST PART OF THE CONCERT!!

Of course, poison and the crew were awesome. The smaller bands made the whole trip worth the trip. The only bad part was trying to get out after it was over took well over an hour.

V.I.P. tickets arent worth it. go with general admission.bring ice chest full of goodies and a chair and sunscreen and a spray bottle full of water. gates opened at 3pm friday and music started at 4:25pm. you had to give up free food in vip tent to see first band..My Darkest Days..(free food my ass..lol). anyway Jonathan tyler and the northern lights..right up my alley. Sebastion bach rocked.we caught an act out in vip campground called Fist of Rage, out of bartlesville i think..pretty good. as soon as i find my camera cord i will load pics on here..lol

This was my third time to go to Rocklahoma and I must say for bands like Seether and Papa Raoch to to have the sound quality they had I'd be pissed if I was them. They are big Professional Rock bands and people such as my wife went just to see them and too have problems with the lows and high ends fading in and out to rediculous. Get some who knows how to run sound or get more speakers. The vocals of Shaun and Jacoby were hard to make out. When Brett and Vince took stage the sound was a bit better but still weak in my opinion. Also 30 to 45 minutes between sets for major bands is not acceptable. I speak from experience having been in a bands and managed bands.

The whole event was very good. It might have been improved if they rented lawn chairs; just a suggestion.

The variety and quality of bands was outstanding. Luckily the weather was in our favor, as no major heat wave, and no tornadoes. The food was excellent, the people were wonderful, and the venue was great in that we didn't have to end at 10 pm because of a noise ordinance. I loved getting to hear new bands that I now love, and will be going back next year.

I had the greatest time ever. I thought Staind and Poison were off the chain! Don't let me forget some many other amazing bands who did an awesome performance. My Darkest days started it off for me and Whitesnake ended my friday night, which had me waking up early to shower and get ready for saturdays performances.. Seether was incredible and even made it by to see Black Label Society.... ;) then Saving Abel, Hinder, Papa Roach and all were too good not to mention! I really won't ever miss another Rocklahoma with all the great bands you brought for my entertainment! Thank You

Awesome show! If it would have been cooler outside it would have been better. Only suggestion would be to have 2 spots for the beer, the one had so many people in line that it was almost worth just buying a beer

Great weekend ! The food in the VIP tent was fresh and warm. The parking was good. The beer and soda lines in the VIP tent were long , however the people working were friendly and helpful. The merchandise Tshirt and Memorobilia were reasonably priced. I will definately like to return next year! The Security in the VIP section was stern but that was needed as people standing on the benches obstructed the views of others.
