Elf the Musical

Awesome show! The whole family loved it! My 9 and 4 year old had the best time! The costumes were beautiful, Buddy was brilliant, the entire cast was so talented!

It s become a family tradition to take in the holiday show at The Garden each year. Always a highlight of our NYC trip. Elf kept the tradition going. Great show.

We came after Christmas during everyone's college break; it was a fun night! And we LOVED Buddy - our standout favorite. Plus, kid brother Michael was amazing... Wonderful acting, and his voice slayed me!

This family friendly holiday show was Broadway quality without the long drive and expensive tolls. I hope Atlantic City brings more quality and family shows to the city.

The performers were great. The story line of the play vs the story line of the movie just does not compare.

We decided to celebrate New Year's Eve day by taking in the production of Elf, the Musical. The production was colorful and high energy. Several Broadway caliber talents brought the show to life on stage, starting with Sam Hartley as Buddy the Elf. It is a tall order to play a role originally made famous by Will Ferrell in the movie, but Sam--an exceptional signer--was the perfect combination of goofy, lovable and sincere. Mia Gerachis also has a challenge--making the wary, skeptical Jovie likeable. She pulls it off, even making you believe she could fall for Buddy. And Buddy couldn't help but fall for her beautiful voice, featured in a hilarious rendition of "Never Fall in Love with an Elf." Would love to see both of them on stage again. There were many fine ensemble performances and energetic dancing. "Elf" was an awesome way to ring in 2018!

Unsure what to expect after seeing the movie the night before, I was quite impressed. Wonderfully cast and executed, it was a great and funny show. My only complaints are some of the lines from the movie felt forced into the play, and the line Buddy the elf, what s your favorite color? seemed downplayed (which I thought was the best line from the movie).

Great cast and talent, and followed the original pretty closely. Great Christmas memory!

Elf was by far one of the best shows I ve seen at the Tennesse Theatre. Scenery was superb as well as the acting kept our attention throughout the performance just fun fun fun highly recommend this play

The play was great and my kids enjoyed it. Just as an FYI, there are a handful of cuss words scattered throughout, which were completely unnecessary in my opinion. Be prepared for some impromptu explanations to your younger kids on what some of those words mean.

We saw Elf the Musical and the play was great! Went with a friend and we both loved it! Entertaining for children and adults! Amazing cast! The venue is beautiful and parking was easy to find!

This was hilarious and a great depiction of the movie. There were enough similarities that made it familiar with some small changes that made it unique. Excellent and a must see for anyone who enjoyed the movie!

Elf was very entertaining & lots of fun. I am glad we were able to attend.

All the preformers were well prepared and all fit the theme. All looked like little Elfs even with long legs.

We are from San Antonio Texas and we were visiting family in Tennessee and made Elf the musical part of our Christmas experience. We had a awesome time and the musical was fabulous.

Very talented cast. The actor that played Buddy was phenomenal, he wasn't over flamboyant but had just the right amount of sass to be the perfect Buddy the Elf. The young man playing Buddies brother had a strong, powerful and beautiful voice. Well matched cast that complemented each other. Truly enjoyed every minute of a great show

My 11-year-old granddaughter and I continued our 5-year Christmas tradition with another wonderful Broadway at the Tennessee Theatre performance!! The ambiance at this venue never disappoints. The glorious atmosphere adds to the excitement of the night for both of us. Seeing Elf was such a fun experience!! We look forward to adding many more performances to our annual tradition in the future!!

The venue was beautiful and we ll definitely go back but not for Elf. The storyline changed a bit, key characters were missing and the acting wasn t very good. Overall disappointing and we left at intermission.

The music and singing were great. The costumes and colors used were beautiful! We took my 9 year old niece and she loved it. Very entertaining.

I would see this again in a heartbeat. I took my children ages 22, 19, and 18 and they LOVED it.

A number of original songs helps this musical keep the attention of the audience. Elf was fun and uplifting. Slightly different story line than the beloved movie and many classic lines left out, which could have added to the performance. The actors were great, though.

Save your money and watch the dvd. The music was awful and generic.

I saw elf in the city a few years back and it was amazing. This time however was not great. Yes, some parts were funny but they barely followed the story line. The tickets are overpriced, seats are uncomfortable and just was not worth the money spent. Don t waste your time.

I have seen the movie several times and this is the first time that I saw the play. It was even more hysterical than the movie! The seats we had in center of 300 section were perfect. I don't think there is a bad seat in the theater. I would go again next year. Norm from Cheers played Santa Clause and he was a riot.

Fantastic! Great show for the entire family! If you like the movie, this will be right up your alley. Wish our seats were better, however, we bought them the day of the show. Section 204....off to side, still good seats, just off center enough to not have a fantastic view! Did meet a great usher who helped us tremendously, named Frankie, who was just a bonus to this package!

Lots of energy on the stage and the dancing was wonderful!! The elves all had wonderful faces through out the entire show. The music was great! The show was great!! A fun way to start the holiday season!!

Elf is one of my favorite movies and the reenactment as a musical was sub part. It s not something I would go crazy about but a good time.

There is only one Will Ferrell. This was a little disappointing as it was quite long for the content and a little goofy, which again Will Ferrell can pull this off like no other.

Had I never seen the movie, MAYBE I would like it, but doubt it. The three people in my party gave it a 3, 4, and 2. Realllly bad acting. Buddy was NOT funny at ALL! They skipped a lot of the stuff in original movie and added cheesy things. JUst was not good at all.

Super cute for young children and even adults. A decent entertaining replica of the movie!

Loved the movie Elf - went with my family - all adults now. Music was eh, jokes were over the heads of children but not really funny for adults. We enjoyed the orchestra and the venue was lovely- MSG NYC, but we were bored and left. Other people also left at intermission and we all were happy to get out.

ELf the musical was entertaining. Had some funny spots. Hit the main ideas from the movie. Music was excellent!

A great stage adaptation of the popular movie. Well acted and enjoyable for all ages. Lots of nearby parking around MSG.

This is a really great show to see. It s really funny and the cast did a very good job. I went with my 17 year old Daughter and we both enjoyed the whole show.

Elf did a great job. Story line was funny and entertaining.

The first ten minutes were great. My three boys were really enjoying it. That is until the 4 6 foot 6 giants sat in front of them. We tried changing our seat but nothing work. My kids couldn t see and we left after the intermisssion. Not to self, no more shows until they are taller.

Did not stay true to story. Had the potential to be so much better than it was.

Cool venue, comfortable seats. The acting, singing and dancing was very good. The first act dragged a bit and seemed about 15 mins too long. The second act was better and developed the story better than the first. Bottom line - it was cute and we are glad we went. However, it was too long and left us wondering what we expected since the movie version of ELF would be difficult to top on a stage.

This show has lots of spunk! Loved it! I was in the first row, dead center all Happy and in Wonder! Was my first time at MSG. The script was unlike other Christmas stories; it's new. It was a fun watch! The Elf is Magical. All the actors were Super. The venue is historic, built in 1912. It was a Memorable Experience with a Great Ending Great for All!

Great venue and great performance. Whether you love the movie or not this is worth seeing!

This is a must see for everyone. Any age would enjoy it! It puts you in the Christmas spirit!

Went to see Elf on a visit to New York with my husband and 16 year old son. Fantastic show. We loved it. I thought my son would be too old but he wasn't. It really is a show for everyone. We left feeling very Christmassy and with the catchy songs ringing around our heads. If you can, go see it !

Took my family for Christmas. Show was awful. Ticket price astronomical. We left at intermission. Should have just stayed home and watched the movie again.

While it's certainly a bit different than the movie, the show is still full of Christmas spirit and fun for all ages. There is some humor in the show for all ages. Highly recommend for families with kids of all ages and anybody who enjoyed the movie.

We did not like it. Liked Rudolph much better last year.

I took my husband and four year old son and eleven year daughter to see Elf in NYC. Another couple with their two fourteen year old daughters also went. We all agreed the office scenes were boring. They could have focused more on toy making, Papa Elf, the four food groups. It was more for adults than for kids. The characters of Santa, the boy, and the secretary did great. Not sure how anyone can compare to Will Ferrell but the Elf actor tried. Overall it just didn t have a fun Christmas vibe like the movie.

Wonderful Musical for all ages, saw the movie...so I had to see the Musical.

Wanted to start a new Christmas family tradition like I had when I was growing up...what a great choice...great seats, great show...we will see you next year!!!

The show was amazing, love the singing and dancing. Only downside was the seating... seats are too close together. My daughter couldn't see because the guy in front of her kept moving in his seat... The Show itself was awesome!

Fun for The whole family , funny and super enjoyable

Elf the Musical was a cute family show for all. They took the main story line and added their own flair to it. There were many children in the audience and you could catch yourself laughing. Only down side, I had a family in front of me that were quite tall and moved around a lot throughout the show. That made it somewhat of a challenge to see at times. Other then that, I enjoyed the show.

Loved the classic movie, did not appreciate some of the modernized jokes which weren t all that funny

We had a wonderful time, and it was an amazing show.

The performers did a great job and of course are very talented. Not that excited about how much the story was changed, and some of the songs at certain times just didn't fit the vibe or expectation. The venue was nice though they didn't let us in on time for some unknown reason. Parking was very reasonable and close by.

It was a great environment with an exceptionally friendly staff. The Performance was beyond expectation. In my wife's words this place is a hidden gem.

This show makes you smile and laugh out loud. Toddlers got tired but older children should enjoy it

The film version of ELF is a holiday classic in our household, so the stage version had a lot to live up to and they did it! Set design was great, but it was the cast that made this show one of the best I've seen in a while! The depth of talent was amazing! They truly made this a magical experience. We found our inner ELVES!
