Bassnectar

Ticket buyers will likely never guess that Santa Cruz-born Lorin Ashton, better known as Bassnectar, grew up influenced by rock heavyweights like Megadeth and Metallica and grunge pioneers Nirvana. An interest in ambient acts like Orbital may be less surprising. The electronic music guru—both a DJ and a producer—now delivers electrifying, bass-heavy concerts (hence the name) that typically feature creative remixed tributes like "Seek and Destroy (Bassnectar Remix)" alongside laser light shows that awe tour and festival attendees. Many Bassnectar creations also meld socio-political statements from personalities like Martin Luther King, Jr.

This show was undoubtably one of the most amazing and epic weekends of my life. And surely one that I will never forget. Bassnectar has a magic that allows him to bring together people from all over the country and from all different facets of life. I met lawyers and nurses and gardeners and surfers and everything in between. I met people from everywhere from Hawaii to California to Florida to Canada. All these people came together to build a weekend full of love, respect, & music. It was good for the body, soul, & mind. It hasn't even been a week since this amazing event began/ended....and I'm already praying I could go back in time just to experience it again <3

Bassnectar shows are the most exciting & intense shows in the world! He's the best DJ out there :). I love heavy metal and he mixes a lot of metal and other genres with heavy bass which allows you to dance so hard like you've never danced before...IT'S THE LOUDEST SHOW EVER...seriously...so great!

I went with a couple of friends. The crowd was one rowdy ball of energy feeding off of each other, dancing together, lifted from this planet and taken to another. Bassnectar is the master of his craft, and once again proved it. Bassnectar just keeps getting better, and the bass just keeps getting more nasty. I would recommend this show to anyone who loves high energy, crazy dance parties. Some of the sickest tunes you're likely to hear.

Bluebird is the worst set up for a concert, especially one of this magnitude. The place was entirely too packed, full of nasty sweaty hippies, the likes of which have probably never even been to a real house show before. Had this show been at a better venue such ah Jake's Nightclub in Bloomington, I'm sure I would have been a lot more satisfied. Hopefully the show in Chicago will be much better.

Bassnectar always puts on a great show, and this time was no exception. Such beautiful visuals, and of course the music was a great mix. The people who frequent these shows are always so polite, no fighting, or anything. Just goodness all around. I really liked when after the show, the girl beside me was just awestruck, and was asking if his shows were always that awesome, and talking about how she was a totally different person than when the show started. Great way to convey it.

Bassnectar is not Lorin's stage name, it's the name of the music he makes. You have to see it to understand. I saw him play in Las Vegas on Halloween a few years ago; he played a 3+ hour set, it was the best show I've ever been to out of a couple hundred shows, festivals, raves etc. I've been to. Hands down, he's the best.

Bassnectar is amazing and all the bassheads that follow him are more like family then strangers in a crowd. This event made me dance whistle scream and cheer also made me cry from joy at one point. Bassnectar always puts on an incredible show! This NYE show was my 10th time seeing Lorin and it was definitely in the top four shows I've seen (it's hard to put them in an exact order because they're all absolutely INSANE)! My friends and I have traveled from Athens to New York, Nashville, Arkansas - FAR AND WIDE - to see these performances and they are always unique and totally worth every single penny. If Bassnectar is ever near you - GO WITHOUT A SECOND THOUGHT!

Any event you go to where balloons are popping from the amount of bass and you can see two girls crowdsurfing while riding a pink unicorn while confetti falls from the roof is one to remember. Go see Bassnectar! Side note: Masonic temple is not the most crowd friendly place when it comes to navigating hallways full of people

Bassnectar was absolutely phenomenal. Had everyone standing and dancing for the entirety of the show. He for sure brought his A game to this show and was worth every penny. The crowd was amazing, the vibes were golden and the atmosphere was unprecedented. The opening acts killed it. Paper Diamond threw down a mellow trap set for the early comers, while Rusko played tracks from 2005-2009 (cocky thug, Where's my money, Wu boost ect..) and Big Gigantic brought the funk with its funky jazz instrumental beats. Lorin Aston aka Bassnectar has come a long way since playing underground raves in the bay area but when i think of who deserves to play MSG i cant think of anyone other than him and it was well deserved. The man was up for the challenge and he sure did not disappoint his cult like fans. I highly recommend seeing him the next chance you get.

I had an awesome time at the concert. It was my first time in Nashville and my first time seeing Bassnectar. The seating situation was awesome. The performers before Bassnectar were pretty live; a great warmup for the final act. The visuals were fire, especially the Alice in Wonderland and The Matrix clips. Epic event, so dope. I would definitely go again.

Drove 4 hours from Birmingham and sat out in 25 degree weather for 9 hours for this show. It was my groups first time to see a Bassnectar show and we were not disappointed. I've been to many concerts and festivals but this New Years celebration/concert was hands down the most amazing experience I've ever had in my entire life. I met some very kind people and shared a great night with total strangers. The unity of the whole audience during the show was incomparable. Everyone was on the same level, with the same rhythms, feeling the same way. It was one of the most unique ways to connect with people I've never met before. I will definitely be attending more shows and recommending Bassnectar to friends

This was the best show I've seen at the Bridgestone arena. I've been there about 10 times my whole life coming to do cheerleading competitions to seeing kiss and Mötley Crüe and now to bassnectar. I like the Bridgestone arena a lot, but I love bassnectar even more. I've seen him 4 times now and this was by far the best show. Loved it so much.
