Did you hear they have a new mascot in Gwinnett? .... it's a fish. One of the graphic devices with the mascot is a worm on a hook. I hope that's for catching the other fish teams we play and not the international league feasting on Stripers! I attended GBraves games regularly in the past, and was bewildered by the name change. It was handled so clumsily that it almost has to be something that was forced on the organization - let's have a contest to pick a new name, then they don't go with the elected name - ooo boy, this is a case study about how _NOT_ to do public relations. Coolray Field has a modest scoreboard beyond right field that worked for the lead off man of the visiting Rochester Red Wings. Too bad there are 19 other active players on the field we'd like to know about. That's really it in terms of text information at the ballpark. And it didn't work. On opening day. So it's not like you had the flow of a season behind you to already be familiar with the teams. That's a pretty miserable fan experience. If this keeps up you'll need to distribute umpire clickers (balls/strikes/outs) and scorecards for fans as they enter the ballpark. I'm divided on the necessity of free Wifi at sporting events. Granted, you can use it to supplement the live game with sports apps, but it's also a distraction with everything else the Internet has to offer. Coolray Field lacks good Wifi, so unless your cell carrier has stellar data coverage, that's not going to help much in situations where you don't know who number 11 is for the visitors. Knucksie's bar is nice again this year, but the beer menu is far too dominated by IPAs. They've switched to long tables which is very social and accommodates large groups better, but they're terribly overworked in there (that's the only option in the park to buy a craft beer). It'll get worse as the season progresses because it's one of just two options for the regular fans to get a break from the heat -- gift shop is the other. One last negative, and it may be the fault of the MiLB schedule. Opening day fell on a school night, and while it wasn't a ghost town, you'd like to see a much fuller stadium for the start of your season. The Stripers did some nice things inviting paratroopers for pre-game, and Timothy Miller is a local treasure who we love to hear sing as often as possible. Thanks for keeping parking at a low $5, and staffing the lot well to get people settled in quickly. With improvements to the in-game information, and more fan-friendly food and drink options, this could be a terrific baseball experience. But it's not quite there yet.

Venue was really nice and clean. Very family friendly environment. Would definitely go back and do it again.

The recent Stripers game was not the best experience for me and my wife. The restaurant was out of the sausage plate even though I was there at ten minutes before first pitch. I got the hamburger instead but it was a bit too well done and not that good. My wife wanted a beer so I stopped by a stand on the way to the seats and got a draft bud light. When she was drinking it her finger pressed into the bottom of the plastic cup and pressed out the bottom of the beer and spilled the whole beer on her lap. They have a plastic disc in the bottom covering up the hole in the bottom of the cup. There is a weak magnetic circle around the edge of the disc that is supposed to hold it in place. But, it didnt hold it that time and the entire beer was on her lap. When I went to get the beer refilled the saleslady at the beer keg was unsympathetic, and would not replace the beer. I was able to go to customer service and get them to come over and ask the woman to pour us another beer. My wife couldn't really drink that one because it seemed flat. Maybe the beer kegs used to fill these magnet and hole cups from the bottom are low pressure and the beer gets flat faster. And my wife had a philly cheese steak that was overcooked and not good. And the Stripers lost 10-4 in a poor pitching performance. The fireworks were pretty good. But, could not make up the difference. Not a very fun evening.

Strippers lost but great evening at the ballpark. Facility is awesome. Fans need to be revved up. I wish the ballpark was closer to me, I would visit often.

Coolray stadium is a great venue to watch baseball. Even better... for $40 you get dinner, popcorn, and seats behind the plate. Can t beat that. Next time the Stripers ought to beat Durham, at least avoid a sweep. There were a couple errors in Friday s game, but still made some good plays. I like the new name Stripers... better choice. For the striper fish locally fished in area.

I had a recent transplant from Cincinnati and his buddy here and it was confirmed we have an amazing minor league experience here . From concessions to sight lines to the general atmosphere the experience was top shelf . Next up , ATL UTD2 here .... Saves the trip intown

Great seats - only draw back is when there are about to be on field activities they line up at the gate to the field and up the aisle thus blocking the view of the batter. I feel they should wait in the area between section 1 and 106 there they would not hamper others view of the field.

Terrific venue and a wonderful staff. This is the best family-friendly deal in Georgia!

It was my 1st time sitting in the lower section where the private bar area is accessible. The bartender ignored me as I stood there for at least two minutes. She was showing another patron something on her phone, which I thought could have been a drink recipe. Then it turned to giggling and her just scrolling through her phone. I never received what I went there for. I really didnt want much. But she saw me standing there. Another staff member outside apologized to me, but yeah. Whatever.

Very fun game! Great seats at great prices!! All kind of foods and snacks.

field great place great not happy with the way the tickets were handle. had to go to will call even though i ordered the tickets weeks in advance. waited in line outside for tickets near a band could not hear people handing out tickets, lucky the weather was nice. then received over booked or wrong tickets. purchased tickets on each side of me so i had room to stretch out missed out because of wrong tickets. just not satisfied with tickets and location of seats

It was an awesome experience. Disappointed that more people did not show up, since it was only about 3/5 full on OPENING DAY for the Gwinnett Stripers. Last year on Opening Day, it was full for the Gwinnett Braves. Maybe it has something to do with the Marketing for the name change. One more "p" in the name and it would have been a Full House. I plan to attend 4 or 5 more games, especially on July 4.

Opening day and scoreboard was not working. It was difficult to understand the announcer. BUT we love coming to watch the game and this stadium.

Not a bad seat in the house and a price point for every fan. Had a great night with the family at the ballpark and an added bonus was the fireworks show after the game!

So much fun!! We will be back again! The Cool Rey Stadium was awesome and parking was a breeze!

Missed the chop and Grands missed the Home Depot took race. Nothing to replace the chop as an alternative

We had a blast at Coolray Field on Friday night! The Gwinnett Stripers were fun to watch. My 9-year old nephew really enjoyed the kids zone, and got a foul ball from one of the Stripers coaches. The parking was easy, our seats were fantastic, and the stadium was clean. The staff was super friendly too. Overall, it was a great night out at the ballgame!

Great fireworks! We came late but were able to park easily. Got out easily also. Only negative was the $16 margherita. That's too much!

Great place to celebrate the 4th. We were here last year too.

Disabled parking was in a good location, a short walk to the Main gate. Stadium personnel were helpful and seats were excellent behind home plate. Concession lines were long but it was understandable as the game was sold out. Post game fireworks were a treat, overall a wonderful July4th experience. Gwinnett Police did a much better job at traffic control than their counterparts do at Sun Trust Park.

The whole process went very smoothly from buying tickets to getting out of the parking lot afterwards. But the highlight was definitely the fireworks after the game. They re shot off from the outfield so different perspective. Only downside was we got there late so had to park in the boonies and quite a hike then.

The game was exciting until it rained. the game ended with a exciting double. The was covering you could go to in the rain.

It is a shame they changed the team name-aweful choice. There is less crowd activity and I miss the chop. Can they change back? The fish is horrible!

Overall, it was a good time. It was great to see a good baseball game and be able to be that close to the field and players. Sat in the $17 seats just behind and to the left of home plate. Great seats. Could see the entire field and every play just fine. Concessions are good. Basically, what you would expect at a minor league event. Depending on what you want, don't wait until the 7th inning to go get them. They were already out of some things. Parking was good. Traffic in and out was fine. The only negative thing about the event was the guy trying to sell me a vacation to places any where in the country, which turned out to be a resort sales pitch. Basically, a timeshare deal. Dude, I'm there to see a ballgame, not listen to a sales pitch. On a good note about that, he did not keep after me when I told him "No." Even with that, we will definitely go back and see another game. Enjoyed the game and the environment.

Top notch ballpark and great staff. Home plate club gave complimentary food during the game.

Family of 4 attended opening day game, and the Scoreboard wasn't even working correctly. Same family attended this game. Many of the food concessions were closed. Bathrooms were dirty and ill supplied. Game was poorly attended which is probably why the food concessions were closed. Overall experience for our two games is not what it has been in year's past, and we have attended games every year since Coolray Field opened. At least they had the scoreboard working! None the less, we will continue to support our home town team.

Great 1st experience but rained out 1/2 way threw and called it, didn t get to enjoy it, disappointed no fireworks etc, planned a family day before our grand baby was due next week but ended early -

This was our first experience at Coolray Field! It was AWESOME! We had tickets in the home plate club section and the food was fabulous. We really enjoyed the game and the staff was so friendly and helpful! We will be doing this again!

I agree with other reviewers. Food has greatly deteriorated from previous years, not very good. Seem to be focusing on beer drinkers and alcohol. Craft beers and such. Food was bad and very pricey. Recommend you eat before you come. Scoreboard was out the day we came and the announcer didn't help. The on field announcer spoke very fast and microphone had issues, so we couldn't understand a word he said. Baseball was fun though. Minor leaguers pay more attention to the fans that the major leaguers who try the best to ignore the fans, even their own.

The experience at Coolray Field is very family friendly & fun. Fireworks are awesome! Downside is the cost of food & drinks. Your family will spend a LOT of money for things like popcorn, cotton candy, cold drinks and food items. Traffic on Hwy 20 is awful! Leave home early.

Seats fairly cheap but food is very pricey and not very good.

We thoroughly enjoyed our family trip to the game. The new Stripers logo is adorable. Every employee at the park was exceptionally polite. Normally my crew only goes to a game or 2 a year but I think we should go more. Great experience!

A Gwinnett Stripers game at Coolray Field is the perfect baseball experience. The venue is beautiful, easy to navigate, and parking is inexpensive. Coolray Field is Americana at its best, the ideal place for a family getaway, a date, or fun with friends. AAA is great baseball as it is one step under the majors so the ballplayers play hard hoping to make the grade. The concessions are convenient and have a good variety of tasty choices. The stadium offers the classic roaming salesmen selling beer, dogs, and popcorn. Even if you're not a baseball fan already, if you want an inexpensive, fun afternoon, try Coolray Field.

Coolray field is definitely affordable and well set out. Not too big to get what you need and easy access to rest rooms. Got a little hot sitting in the sun but we weren't prepared for such a beautiful day. Stripers lost but what an enjoyable experience. We will have to make this happen more often.
