Miyavi is always fantastic live. So much energy, and usually pretty goofy. He played a few older songs this time, which was really awesome to hear.

What can I say, fans were already lined up by 4pm when I had originally gotten there and here I thought I was a super fan. My sister and I had waited right until 4:58pm to drive to our intended parking lot and right at 5pm we pulled in and we were the first persons there, not even the parking attendant was there yet. We had our ticket and placed it on the dashboard of our car. La la la everything is fine and good! Just as I am getting out of the car and I look up Miyavi is literally walking in an alley with I believe his manager or friend. I called out to him to make sure it was him and he turned my way!!!! How intense I couldn't believe my luck! I definitely felt that this was God almighty giving me a chance to meet one of my favorite musicians! Even though I didn't win the meet and greet by live nation asian concerts after sharing it over 400 times Kiha and The Faces was nothing less than AMAZING. All I can say is that Kiha Chang is so attractive and a natural swag lord omg. They were so interactive with the crowd it was so amazing! I actually now want to find a Korean boyfriend lol. Slot Machine was very different but I enjoyed them nonetheless!! Hard rock is what I like so it was a good change of pace! At last Miyavi, I have been a fan of his since I was 13 years old, currently I am 23 and it was breath taking seeing one of your all time favorite musicians and meeting them. It is definitely such a humbling experience. Miyavi definitely chose all the right bands to tour with. Did I mention that he also prays before all his concerts to spread good vibes and a positive message? What more can I ask for?

This is my third time seeing Miyavi, and as per usual he was amazing. His talent is on another level and he knows how to put on a show. Now he brought two artists I hadn't heard of, Slot Machine and Kiha & the faces. Slot Machine was fun and packed full of energy. The lead singer, Foet, has a voice that reminds me of 80's metal bands, but better. Seriously talented. The bassist, Gak, was all over the stage, and even off of the stage. You could tell they had fun with every smile, or strum on their guitars. Kiha & the Faces reminds me of a mellow rock group with hardcore reggae influence. While that really isn't my cup of tea, they were all funny and showed how much they enjoyed playing. It felt more like a band playing in their garage, simply because they loved to play. Kiha even threw water out onto the crowd, and some ended up on stage. He ended up slipping and falling, but even then, he kept singing. Truly a professional by any means. Great show.

Wow. The show was absolutely amazing! He performed with only a drummer and a keyboardist (in some songs) and pulled off something quite spectacular. His rhythmic guitar playing and sweet, sexy riffs were captivating. I didn't want the show to end! I would definitely watch him again and again.

What can i say?....Miyavi was born to rock the house. Incredibly! he has so much charisma on stage. Too many words to describe how amazing he is! I remember hearing a girl in the crowd say how it is a privilege and honor to be able to see him here in the states, truly...it really is. Youtube vids of him doesn't come close to seeing him live!

This was my first concert i've gone to and i loved it!!! I loved Miyavi's performance! It was great and sometimes quite funny. If i could see Miyavi again i would be soooo happy!! I also liked where the concert was held; since the venue is small, it is more of a intimate type of show. I think it is great that you are able to stand so close to the artist(s). I defenitly recommend going to see Miyavi and to go to a concert at the House of Blues!

This was an amazing concert for Miyavi, this being his first stop on his North American tour for 2010. I have now seen him four times on stage and he just keeps getting better and better. Even without the Kabuki Boyz ( though they will be missed) it was a show I want to play back in my mind over and over again.

I wasn't sure about what to expect from Miyavi at his concert since I wasn't too fond of a lot of his older songs. However, he only played newer songs at the concert. The new songs were consistently good. I had a lot of fun. I really hope to see Miyavi again during his next U.S.A. tour.

We were just too excited at the time!! I just loved cheering for Miyavi and his band members! The dj was so fun! The drummer was really quick on his feet! ^__^ We kind of wished we had glow sticks! someone had glow stick earrings! It was so cute! We had to wait in line for 4 hours!! 0-0!! yaah! Good thing I had comfortable shoes! I love Miyavi and the energy he gives off! It was really great and fun!

I've seen Miyavi perform before, each time has blown me away. I'm always surprised by his energy, his skill, and his over-all showmanship. It was the first show I had taken my nephew to and for the first few songs all my nephew could do was stare in awe. The volume of the music was just right, the guitar wasn't over powered by the drums and vice versa. I am sorry to anyone who missed this show. Next time he's in town you need to see him perform. It's like watching an artist paint.

I'd seen Miyavi before, back at the Jrock Revolution festival in Los Angeles a few years back. Now, I got to experience a one-man Miyavi show on the first stop of his own North American tour. There was a good mix of older songs and newer ones, along with fresh new tracks that will be released in the upcoming months. Miyavi himself is very charismatic, and pulled off amazing stuff backed only by a drummer and/or keyboardist. Very glad he's finally getting to tour America, and he's bringing us one mighty fine show.

I've been a long time fan of Miyavi, and was ecstatic to see that he was playing in San Diego at the House of Blues. After waiting in line for a couple of hours, as I arrived early, we all were let in. The standing area is about 40x40 ft, and we packed ourselves into it. The greatest part was that we all were close to Miyavi; I myself was about 5 ft away by the end of the concert. Miyavi was amazing in concert. He's got great energy and you can tell that he really loves being up there and preforming for you. He thanked us again and again for being there, and said some stuff about his personal life--he's especially fond of his daughter, who was born last year. "She's a monster," he said, "Cause she wakes me up every morning, but I love her so much. And she loves to hear about all of you!" He persisted that he was really grateful we turned out to see him, and that he hopes to tour again next year. The concert seemed a little short, about an hour and a half, but it was well worth it. He took the mood from upbeat and bouncy to hard rock, to some really soft, sweet music, before he took a brief intermission, changed clothes, and came back on to finish strong. I would so go to one of his concerts again! He even introduced some new songs, my favorite of which was called "Gravity." This is definitely a concert you don't want to miss!

My friend said it best- "He's like Japan's Michael Jackson". Not because he dances, but because of the pasison and energy he brings to his performance. His rapport with the audience, his amazing talent, the way one could feel his communication through his music to the farthest seats. Size of venue is of no moment- he gives his all whether playing for 30 or 300,000.

I've been wanting to see Miyavi in concert for years, and I never thought I'd ever get to see him, let alone in America. I feel so lucky to have been there, he is such an amazing performer and he really loves his fans. I greatly appreciate him for coming back out to do another tour after he had to cancel his one last year. On a side note, there was this weird random guy who tried to put broken wrist bands on my boyfriend and I and tell them they were "backstage passes" and that someone had ripped them off. Seriously, who would do that? It obviously wasn't legit, but oh well. Sorry, I'm not much for writing reviews. All there is to know that his shows are unbelievably fun and if he's in the area DEFINITELY go see him.

MIYAVI was amazing as usual. I went to his last show in Club Nokia and I have to say I liked this show much more than the last. He interacted with his fans more and it was like we were having a friendly conversation with him. The music was more upbeat and I enjoyed that. I also liked that he didn't dress himself up too much. He came on stage as himself, glasses on and hair tied back. It was very refreshing. ^^

I love Miyavi's concert in Seattle so much! He rocked with his voice, guitars & bands. He is truly awesome! Although I can barely see miyavi ): and I can't even see the drummer & keyboard player at all!! all of the people in front of me were too tall! I wish if the stage at the showbox was HIGHER. but overall, it was freakin' awesome! I can feel the intimate & chemistry feeling from miyavi and the fans. I went there all alone, waiting in the line all alone, went home all alone, and it was all worth it! Please come back soon!

Once again MIYAVI delivers an excellent performance with his eclectic mix of hard rock, hip hop and bluesy tunes. The concert was jam packed with High energy and amazing fun; a thrill all the way through, I was especially happy to have been able to hear two of his slower ballads. They were a nice breather in between all of the jumping and screaming. We also had the pleasure of hearing three new songs from his upcoming album. They were all two thumbs up and I can't wait to get my hands on the album. The single will air in September and the album will be out this coming fall in October. As the second time that I have been able to see MIYAVI in concert I was not disappointed. I wish him the best with his new label and band mates, and can't wait to see him again when he passes through the states.

The concert was much better than I anticipated. I had not seen or listened to Miyavi beforehand, so I wasn't sure what to expect. His performance was excellent... The music, his interaction with his fans, his showmanship, etc. I was very pleased with the whole experience. My daughter was truly amazed with his performance, and so grateful for the opportunity to see him in a setting that allowed her to be up as close as she was. I was happy to stay back and watch from a little further back, but still within the front standing area.

Miyavi is a great artist, he always remebers about the old fans and plays old songs when he was still singing only in Japanese. It was very nice of him especially as there were many Japanese fans. He also played many new songs which are amazing and very different from what he used to play. He also engages with an audience. I aways have a lot of fun at his concerts. It was my third time seeing him live and I've been listining to him for 8 years already.

Miyavi is a great performer. He speaks honestly and is very articulate. And then again, he's like jumping off the walls and rocking out. So it's like the best of both worlds. xD The audience consisted of a variety of people of different ages, and the crowd was really polite (no one shoving each other...people saying "Sorry!" if they bumped into you)... Point is, I would DEFINITELY see him again. Only complaint is he didn't take his shirt off. @_@ As for the venue, it was well ventilated, had plenty of room...though the bar is kinda pricey in my opinion...that's to be expected.

this was my second concert ever and I had such a great time - Miyavi is a really wonderful performer and his energy was infectious!!! I had a lot of fun with everyone even though I went by myself --- the mix of older songs made me smile a lot and the newer songs were performed really well. If you can, definitely go and see Miyavi live -- going to see him live gave me a lot of energy and drive to keep creating and going in life , so i definitely recommend it.

Miyavi is a remarkably passionate performer who loves his fans. His passion and love clearly came through during his performance. I've been following him since the early 2000's when he was primarily playing in Japan. His music and attitude have grown so much since then. I wish I had the passion and positive attitude that this man has. He clearly loves what he does. It doesn't matter that he's a Japanese performer. Music is it's own language - it transcends English, or Japanese, or Spanish... If you love to rock, you can 100% enjoy a Miyavi concert.

I'll start with the venue: TLA in Philly was cleaner than any smaller venue I've been in - and cleaner than some of the larger ones too. The staff were friendly and willing to help if you had any questions or issues. For me, I forgot to get my parking ticket stamped when I arrived and one of the workers radioed someone who could get into the box office so that I could get the ticket stamped after the show. All of that occurred without so much as a roll of the eyes or any outward indication of irritation. Plus all of the staff were knowledgeable about where things were and what was going on after the event (the VIP meet and greet). They worked together seamlessly to organize everyone and pass along information at a rapid rate. I will recommend TLA as a venue to literally anyone. Now to talk about the artist, Miyavi: This was my first time seeing him in concert and OMG I was blown away. Yes, his music is fantastic (why else would I be there to see him?) but his stage presence and his palpable excitement and happiness at performing was infectious. I could not stop smiling or laughing. His performance was one of the most genuine I've seen in a long time and I can't wait for him to come back to the East Coast so I can see him perform again. Even beyond his music, his words were so honest and impactful - this man truly has a heart of gold and one of the purest souls. His rapport with his collaborators and his music-mates is solid and clearly based in mutual respect and sincere friendship. While many singers will take the time to introduce the other members on stage, I have yet to see anyone other than Miyavi use that time to individually praise them and their talents before thanking them. His message of love, kindness, and acceptance through music certainly resonated with me as I'm sure it did with most of the crowd. Please, if you ever have the chance, see him in concert. It will change you.

Miyavi + Slot Machine + Kiha & The Faces = MIND ABSOLUTELY BLOWN. I can't get over this show! Kiha got everyone warmed up and started the show with funky 70's style jams. We were then SLAMMED and overwhelmed by Slot Machine! Everyone I know that saw this tour were just insanely in love with this band! Miyavi is just on another level and can do no wrong on stage. Between cranking up the crowd, rocking hard, and being inspiring, I was just captivated by every moment.

All three of the bands were impressive and enjoyable. Kiha and the Faces brought a lot of energy to their performance and encouraged crowd participation. Slot Machine was more toned back when compared to Kiha and the Faces, but their music and on stage performance mixed very well. The two front men on guitar were particularly enjoyable to watch. The lead singer had a very impressive vocal range. Miyavi's performance exceeds what words can describe. I have long held Miyavi to be the greatest J-Rocker Japan has to offer owing to the depth and breadth of his musical talent. His recorded performances were amazing. His live performance exceeded my already lofty expectations. I would definitely recommend this show.

This is the first time I saw Miyavi in concert, and it was amazing! The venue allowed for a close up viewing, and when he went into the crowd, I held his hand!! I just recommend dressing appropriately, like getting ready to stand for 3+ hrs. With that being said, people got pretty comfortable with each other, but all in all it was the experience of a lifetime. Miyavi was awesome and interacted with the crowd very well. I didn't feel as if I was just another reader in the crowd, but felt very special when he looked into the audience and while playing his guitar.

I was at this show for Kiha and the Faces, and they did not disappoint. Jang Kiha made it fun and well worth the trip to Philly. I had never heard of Slot Machine before, but they were good. And Miyavi is an amazing guitarist. His songs are better live than on youtube, I thought (I had to look him up before the show). The venue is small and intimate. Beers are even more expensive than at football games though.

Where do I start? Fantastic - more minimalist than his show at Anime Matsuri almost ten years ago (not as many visuals or fancy things, which is fine.) Amazing to see where he's taken his guitar playing and so sweet and genuine with his fans. The opening acts were a lot of fun as well, especially Kiha and the Faces.

The whole Asia on Tour concert was outstanding. Kiha & the Faces were very entertaining. Kiha is charismatic and so funny. They got the audience involved and made us fall in love with them. Slot Machine is straight up rock. The lead singer has a classic rock voice. They were great. Miyavi. My daughter has been waiting 15 years to see him. Once I heard his music I couldn t get enough. He did not disappoint. He was all over the stage, high energy, guitar virtuoso. My only complaint, it was too short. They really need to book him into bigger venues for longer concerts. It felt like a teaser. He has so many great songs I wanted to hear live. I have so much respect for him. He talked about his wife and children, his music, and his hopes for our world. I hope this is only the first time I get to see him perform live.

My first concert for a Japanese artist. Miyavi's style of hitting his guitar strings along with playing them gives his music such a unique sound and style. It was amazing to see him play -- and to see just him and his drummer make such amazing music! Miyavi himself is a really cool guy; he connects with his fans and made us laugh and cheer. (I must admit it was cool that he can speak English, too.) An amazing performance that was nothing less that five stars!

Just to put things in scale for you, I was harassed by a drunk guy outside the show and it was still more than worth it! If I am to be honest, I am not a huge fan of the Showbox. I prefer seated venues. But if it's Miyavi playing (especially with his drummer, Bobo), it is totally irrelevant. There is nothing bad to say about his performance.

I have been a fan since Due le Quartz~ Miyavi really speaks to you with his unity with his guitars~ His fingers tickle the strings and he plays as if it's no effort~ He shows his love for his fans and sends such beautiful messages through his songs^^ He gives off the "Next Michael Jackson" vibe<3

The song Kimi negai wo literally made me cry!!! It was how I first knew of him. He sounds amazing live and is super talented and his english is not bad at all. I'll never forget that amazing experience. I would so watch him again live!! Just wish he did autograph signings.

This show was one of the best that I have ever seen. Granted, I expected an excellent show because of the live videos I'd seen on the internet, but Miyavi exceeded my expectations and then some. He gave a show that would many artists to shame, and I could feel the emotions that he poured into each moment, each song, throughout the entire performance. This concert is one that I would go to again and again and again, as I know that I would be able to feel the exact same thing.

Miyavi delivered a stunning performance that was well worth the wait. If you ever have the chance to see him perform live, take it. It's amazing to see someone play the guitar like he does. I would go to another concert of his in a heartbeat. The downside: the other fans. You can't hear half of what Miyavi says because the fan girls are constantly screaming. This also takes away from enjoying the music that is being played. And for some reason the other girls in the crowd decided that because the crowd was mostly girls there was nothing wrong with completely crushing themselves into the other fans to try to get closer. Even at metal shows I have never been so smushed. It was ridiculous, and it seriously took away from the show.

Awesome. What a great performer! Miyavi put on a killer show! He played many, many favorite jams! Definitely unforgettable. The only downside is that he had to leave. I cannot wait for his return! ^_^

This concert was by far one of the best times of my life. Miyavi really is as beautiful in person as he is in pictures. And more importantly, his singing and guitar skills are amazing. He has wonderful energy and charisma. Miyavi seemed to really care about how we were feeling as an audience. He stopped multiple times to talk to us and even apologized for his english! Everything about this concert was AWESOME! We did have to chant quite a bit to get him to come out for an encore. That was only annoying because a good 50-75% of the audience didn't join the chant!! But he came back out eventually and everything was good!

The show was amazing. This was quite possibly the best show I've been to in a very long time. Miyavi's showmanship and his interaction with the crowd was a real treat. It wasn't too packed, but everyone that was there made it feel like we were in a crowded music hall. Everyone should go check him out the next time he's in the states.

The concert was amazing. Miyavi may possibly be the greatest guitarist in the world at this moment. I would suggest that everyone see him at least once. It's so great to see a star with such talent and humility come to the USA and have a great time. He was astounding and the crowd loved him. I hope he comes back for many more years.

Best night of my life! He is so amazing. I will remember it forever! I'm for sure going to see him as many times as possible till the day I die. Being in the same building as him was just....a dream come true. I flew my cousin in from Arizona, and I drove down from Missouri... My cousin and I agree that it was more than worth the money and the travel hassles. ^.^ Arigatou Miyavi!

I had been wanting to see Miyavi for as long as I can remember, this concert was well worth the wait. From the minute he walked on stage til the end of the show I had shivers going up my spine. He was so energetic and so much fun to watch! I barely have any words to describe how awesome the show was. It was well worth the four hour wait on a side walk :)

I waited outside the venue for over five hours to get a good space, and ended up with just one person in front of me before the stage. Miyavi is an excellent performer. He puts on a good show for the fans, but the number one reason to see him live is his MUSIC. His guitar skills are AMAZING and BoBo on the drums was just awesome!

I've seen Miyavi three times in concert now, and I still don't know how he manages to improve every single time I see him. His dancing was really amazing, as well as the guitar improv and the set list made me cry! Miyavi will always be close to my heart and I'll continue to make crazy trips to see him in the future. Miyavi, as long as you come to America, I'll show up to at least one of your shows!

The amount of stars should be more than enough for me to say about this show. He's talented, funny and works very hard to make sure his audience gets the best out of the few little hours that he spends with them. Miyavi is constantly evolving and I hope that the next time he shows up here in the U.S, there will be even more people to appear and see his talent in action.

I have been a huge fan of Miyavi for about ten years, and I never thought I'd ever be able to see him in concert. But if I were to relive any night of my life, it would be that night I saw him in concert at the Masquerade. I loved how small the place was because it meant that I would be able to see him closer than I ever imagined. There wasn't that many people (much less than I expected anyway) and all the fans were cool and respectful of each other. Miyavi was wonderful. His performance live was a surreal experience for me, and this being the first concert I've ever been to, it was almost a dream. He played with the audience and made sure everyone got a chance to see him. It was probably the most fun I've ever had in my life. I would give anything to relive that night, and I just pray that he decides to come back!

This event was definitely the BEST night of my life, no exaggeration. Miyavi was (is) amazing, and wasn't afraid to really put himself out there for the fans - even when more than half of them couldn't understand him. Feet hurt, throats were parched and unidentifiable squishy things that didn't belong to one's self were well acquainted before the night was over, but none of it mattered. Miyavi took the stage and that's all she wrote, as the saying goes. All of the spunk, charisma and over all "he looks like so much fun" that are seen on the computer screen or on the pages of magazines but everyone said American (much less anyone anywhere in North America not L.A. or N.Y) fans would never see... well, WE SAW IT! I really loved being able to see a man doing something he enjoys so much, and getting such enjoyment from the enjoyment he brought to the audience even though it was clear he loved it so much he would have done it all over again even if the floor had been empty. Truely amazing, and I can only hope that the American support for "JROCK" has been realized so that Miyavi may come again and that others might folllow.

Miyavi was incredible. He made sure it was a very personal experience for everyone. I disliked the event because somebody was trying to suffocate me by pressing my ribs with her hand to take my spot. I guess you could say it was very crowded. If I fainted, I would have remained standing because I was so squished. Also, somebody shoved my friend that I came with, she fell, and she hurt her knee, but she is alright now. But honestly, Miyavi made up for that. After he left the stage, we wanted an encore, and he took over splendidly and controlled the mood of his fans. He played for about 2 hours altogether, which is longer than he usually does. My friend wasn't a Miyavi fan at all, but after being in the same room as him and seeing him, she thanked me for inviting her along. He can make a fan out of anybody. Miyavi simply rocks. Everyone around me was moshing, so I of course joined in. It was my first experience in a mosh, and from here on, I will always compare the next concert to Miyavi's in Atlanta, GA, the one I just came from. He himself said it was a "fantastic night in Atlanta." He did not want anyone filming or taking pictures of him, or else he would have you removed from the show. He wanted everyone to be there with him, and enjoying the music FULLY. I understand why now. It's because the time he spends on stage, he puts his heart and soul into his music and into the crowd, and that time passes so fast, so he wants everyone to have the best time WITH him and not looking at him through a "tiny tiny screen while I am sincerely playing on stage," posted from his twitter. So there is no image, there is no video. Because I was fully there and having a blast with him. I could not forget last night even if I tried (but why would I ever WANT to try?).

The concert was pretty much AMAZING! Miyavi is my favorite musician and I it made my year to be able to go see in him in concert. The only thing I didn't like was that the time the concert started was kinda hazy as it originally said 7pm, then 8pm, and the concert actually didn't start till 9pm. So my feet were pretty much killing me by the time he got on stage. But it was totally worth it! And if he comes to Atlanta again I will definitely buy a ticket to go again.
