Wonderful show!!! All the vocalists have amazing voices, but I was particularly impressed with Chloe Lowery, who is also a member of Trans Siberian Orchestra. The rock musicians were superb & the backing symphony orchestra was outstanding. Unfortunately, the theater was barely half full of patrons. Oh well, to those who didn't see this show : your loss!!! I hope this show returns in the future.

Originally, we saw Rocktopia in Florida in January and they were fantastic. The performance in Bethel was also fantastic. This is a unique act. The fusion of classic and rock music is so creative. It is an unbelievable concept that works. The singers are superb. The quality of the voices are exceptional. The blending of the different styles is outstanding. The musicians, Hudson Valley Orchestra, were well rehearsed. The quality of their music is great. The depth of their music added so much to the performance. Also, the background chorus was superb. The band, lead singers, orchestra, and chorus immersed the listener in the music. We felt as though we were part of the music. If you like TSO then you will enjoy Rocktopia.

If you like classic rock and you like classical music. This is the best of both worlds. The musicians are top notch. The choir magnificent. And the lead vocals knock your socks off. Don't miss this opportunity. Will see them again when they come around in my area. Watch them on pbs. Worth it.

I am not sure if we attended an opera or rock-show, it was the greatest blend of music I have had the chance to watch! Rocktopia is a must see for the whole family! You know a concert is great when EVERYBODY, no matter what age, walked out of Bethel Woods (an awesome venue) that night totally amazed at the performance, I hope they come back to Bethel for many more years!

I didn't know what to expect, I've attended at least 50 or more concerts over the years. There are not many rock performers that I haven't seen. This show, altogether different, blew my wife and I away! The way they morphed a classical start of a piece into a well known rock song was awesome. Rock songs by: Who, Hendric, Floyd, Foreigner, Heart, and many more. The vocalists, and first violin player were a pleasure to hear and see. First thing I did the next day was to look them up to see when their next show is, will no luck. I hope they will be back next year. 5 stars! .

I had an idea what to expect, but from the very first number, Rocktopia delivered all that and more! Mairead Nesbitt put it over the top for me; I'd seen her with Celtic Woman and loved her playing. She is so expressive in her artistry. The Hudson Valley Philharmonic was incredible; they flowed back and forth between classical and rock without missing a beat. Tony Bruno's guitar licks were astounding, the vocalists were phenomenal! I would go to see them over and over. Their renditions touched my inner core.

If this troupe comes your way GET SEATS!! GO SEE/EXPERIENCE this concert. Just an amazing conflagration of music, visions, and voices that I was not expecting. The orchestra was awesome to watch thier movements and hear thier sound. The solo "Celtic" violinist, that pranced all over that stage for hours was devine, not only to listen to,but to gander at. The vocalists were of all ranges and every one of them fit perfecly the song selection that they were lead on. The set list was so GOOD and eclectic and varying in styles and tempo. The classical inteludes and tunes were mesmerising,as was the Operatic duo that was performed by the creator(name escapes, but he was a big cog in the Trans-Siberian Orchestra creation as well) and his beautiful Argentinian co-hort.She,like all the vocalists(5of them) was fantastic. I cannotr eude enough positive vibes and words about this concert. If they do gop back ourt on tour and they are in range of you, drive to see them. Shoot, fly to see them!! They and it were that good!! Hoping this show will make it back on tour soon!! 'til then,go to thier website to get a good feel for this new and incredible show!!

Went to see Rocktopia without knowing what to expect except that it seemed to be a great idea to combine a symphony type orchestra and music with rock and roll songs and ballads. The combination of the two was OUTSTANDING!!!. The singers were all exceptional and each had their own way of expressing the songs they sang both individually and together. The sound of a opera singing soprano leading in to and combining with a rock and roll singer and song really worked well. Watching the Grammy award winning violinist was mesmerizing as she played and danced across the floor. Highly recommend going to this show if it comes anywhere near you....

Not sure what I can say that hasn't been said already, but this is an AMAZING event mashing the best of the classical world with some of the best rock-n-roll around. I am still blown away by the talent packed onto that stage. If you are a fan of music you will not be disappointed. Going again in Pensacola and if I had the time I would have gone to other cities. First learned of Rocktopia via their PBS special as I am sure many others did as well. However, the show last Saturday in Charlotte exceeded my expectations! This is no "tribute"act and far, rar beyond a "cover" band. Their unique re-workings of rock anthems blended with classical passages were fantastic. Of particular note was how they blended old and new - like Another Brick In The Wall (Pink Floyd) and Uprising by Muse. Very creative. They also did a very different interpretation of Led Zeppelin's Kashmir interspersing operatic elements into it. The core of the band (drums, bass, guitar (could have been a little louder for my tastes), keyboards and an amazing recent addition, violinist from Celtic Women (who was a non stop dynamo on stage) were led by five vocalists sharing the lead. Together they were augmented with local brass/string musicians and backup vocalists. The talents and stage presence of the vocalists were amazing. The show was two sets with an intermission - about 2.5 hours of music. Highly recommend this to any fan of classic rock with an open mind to classical and operatic influences.

Rocktopia was a very good show but if you go in expecting the Budapest show you'll likely be disappointed. The Main performers are all there and were great but it's a very scaled down orchestra that is on tour. This production really belongs in Las Vegas where it could be done right . Most disappointing in Charlotte was the lousy turnout due most likely to a lack of publicity about the show. Overall a very good show that I'd go to again.

Rocktopia was very average, the performers were great (they showed their passion for what they are doing) but there was no "BANG" (nothing that sticks out to grab attention) Was not "ROCK" music. same basic songs you hear on classic rock stations.

Going to see Rocktopia was a wonderful surprise , we had a great time listing to many of our Rock favorites as well as classical music and opera . We thought that it was a great idea to have incorporated ISU orchestra and choir , it was wonderful to see our kids college involved and they did an awesome job .My one and only complaint was whoever did the lighting was not considerate to the people in the balcony , we had to literally close our eyes several times because of the awful bright glare , I heard several others also complain about it too .I hope Rocktopia reads this so they can correct the issue because otherwise we thought it was a fabulous show.

What a wonderful combination of classical music with classic rock/pop! All of the performers and musicians were incredibly talented! The way the music from one genre to another was blended together was amazing. The audience really interacted with the show. The acoustics were a bit off, but that is on the venue, not the show itself. Overall, I highly recommend this show!

This was a good concept, however these folks weren't able to pull it off. The vocals were not good and the main musicians were very average. Way too much money for that level of entertainment. Do not like Ovens Auditorium, they treat you like criminals. Much prefer Knight and other Uptown venues.

Rocktopia is unlike anything you've ever seen before. Blending classical music with classic rock, this innovative production, created by Rob Evan, a tenor with an impressive resume and one of the key singers in the wildly popular Trans-Siberian Orchestra, performed by a stellar cast of singers and musicians, will leave you in awe at the power of music. The mash up of classical pieces such as Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" and Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" with pop and rock classics like "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me" and "Don't Stop Believing" will make you experience both genres in a whole new way. Enchanting, spectacular, and breathtaking, this magnificent show is both entertaining and uplifting.

This show was simply magnificent from the very beginning to the end. The entertainers provided the spectators with memories from the past. The WHO, LED ZEPLINE, HEART, THE BEATLES and many other "oldies" were performed following the introduction with the "very oldies" like BACH BEETOVEN. then blending the music to the later. The solo violinist was all over the stage playing her violin while dancing. The rock band was complimented well by the orchestra. I highly recommend this show to all that grew up with rock from the seventies & eighties.

This was a terrific concert. I have always thought that the fusion of rock and classical music was, and is, a total winner. The singers; the rock musicians; and the local musicians and choir were outstanding. They moved flawlessly from one song to another with precision. And, the rock classics selected to perform fit the fusion aspect perfectly. This was one of my all time favorite concerts,....maybe even #1.

Absolutely one of the best concerts I have attended in a very long time. A great blend of Classic and Rock in a theatrical way. Excellent voices and band carried everything.
