Toto Cutugno

One of the most celebrated Italian Singer/Songwriters of modern time, Toto Cutugno is responsible for some of the great songs that shaped a generation, L’Italiano, Serenata, Soli, Le Mamme and Solo Noi, just to name a few in a catalogue that seems to last forever. It was 1983 when Toto Cutugno wrote and recorded L’Italiano which has become an anthem for Italians worldwide. He then went on to write and record Insieme which became the theme for European Integration. Toto Cutugno’s Australian show promises to deliver the songs, the voice and the style that is uniquely Italian to generations of lovers of Italian music that hail from all over of the world.

Toto had the best sound in the best music this time out of the three shows I've attended. He demonstrated his genius and excellence. At previous shows he's made fun of his own music and I was relieved it didn't happen again. Unfortunately this audience was lame. They may as well of been in their own coffins or having a snooze in their rest homes. They came in late and they left early and the rightly didn't deserve an encore.

I am big fan of Toto since 80s.However this concert left me with unpleaseant surprise.because it was aim on Italian speaking audience, which probably comprised small percentage of whole spectaculars. I came to listen his lovely songs but not his prolong speech performance in unfamiliar language.The total time of his talking is exceed the time of his songs. For me it was just waste time and finance. I difinitely not recommended this event for my friends.

Overall the concert was great, however: between songs the singers filled time with too much conversation in Italian which we didnt understand.

I had never heard Pupo sing before and thought he was just someone I had to put up with until Toto Cutugno came on stage. I was wrong. Pupo was excellent and performed for over an hour. However, the shining star of the night was, of course, Toto Cutugno. I just adore that man and, had he done nothing else but stand there, I would have been happy. However, he sang in his usual incomparable and distinct style, and the show was over much too soon. I hope he comes back again next year -- I'm already excited at the thought of it!

Songs were good. They don't speak English everything was in Italian and they don't have an interpreter. So for most of the evening I was lost. Had no clue what was happening. If you speak Italian you will probably enjoy the show. If you don't speak Italian you can skip the show and just listen to a CD.

We never had the chance to see Toto while we were living in Italy and his Atlantic City show made us feel in our home in Italy again. He was great. He spoke in Italian the whole time but I felt bad for the people who did not understand what he was trying to say. I think they could have used an instant electronic translator on a big screen. He was funny and made us feel like his friends. Very cozy concert. He is very well known in Russia, France and many Eastern countries and that's why he has huge followers in the audience. We had an unforgettable time. I finally got to see one and only Toto and willing to see him again next time he is in the US.

TWO YEARS AGO TOTO CAME TO CONNECTICUT , WE WENT TO SEE HIM THEN. BUT WE DID NOT UNDERSTAND THE REASON FOR ALL THOSE RUSSIANS THERE, AGAIN WE TRAVELED FROM CONNECTICUT TO SEE HIS SHOW AT THE TROPICANA, ONLY TO BE DISAPPOINTED AGAIN, HALF OF THE SHOW WAS FOR THE RUSSIAN AND FRENCH PEOPLE, WHY ?HE NEVER ADDRESSED THE AMERICAN PUBLIC ONCE, OUR CHILDREN AND FRIENDS WERE VERY DISAPPOINTED.

I have been saying over the past couple of years that before I kick the bucket I have to see Toto Cutugno in concert. I got my wish this past weekend in Atlantic City. His performance was even better than I expected it to be. He performed for over two hours; his voice was incredible, and he looked fantastic. He is elegant and classy. How I wish the weekend was ahead of me instead of behind me because I would so love to see this concert again! I cannot wait for him to return to America. What a wonderful experience this was for me. I loved every minute of it!

We were fortunate to have good seats. This was the second time we attended a Toto Cutugno concert. He didn't disappoint. The man can sing (by the way, all his own music) and knows how to relate to an audience.

The show was really good.I enjoyed the back round on the stage and the lighting was terrific.And of course there was no disappointment as far as Toto goes.He truly gave it his all.

I love Italian music! I wish I spoke Italian! Toto was charming, sang all songs live and kept the audience involved the whole time. Many songs were from San Remo times and those are the best!

We love Toto Cutugno and were looking forward to his performance. As usual at his concerts, and he is aware of it, there is 50% Italian audience and 50% Russian. Since he is very popular there. Mr. Toto Cutugno sings very well but he was talking a lot in Italian (!!) with no interpreter. And 50% of Russian audience could not understand a thing while Italians were enjoying the concert. You would thing that such a great Composer and singer will think about it but he did not. Would not recommend to any of my friends unless they are Italian speaking. Won't go to his concerts either.

Had a great time with the wife, we both enjoyed the music and seeing an artist I grew up listening to in person. Seats were perfect for the money paid. Overall very satisfied.
