Frampton was amazing and awesome however Steve talked way toooooo much! No fault of the venue but it was horribly windy and cold on the waterfront that evening. The speakers and lighting were swaying!! Some retractable sides would have helped

Come on, it's Steve Miller. He's like a good pair of jeans - you always enjoy putting them on. He played all the hits, a number of his bluesier tunes, and worked the crowd well. It doesn't hurt that the winery sells by the bottle, either!

As Steve ages he and his guitar only gets better just like the fine wine of Chateau Ste Michelle .The venue at the winery is a spectacular place to see any concert. Its intimate setting makes every seat a great one. Steve and his band sounded awesome the setting was perfect. I have seen him at the Gorge over 15 years ago and this was by far a better concert. They played all of the greatest hits and a couple of new ones. The new addition to the group makes for a well rounded event.

Its difficult to describe the location. We arrived to the concert 1 hour early, whilst waiting we enjoyed the band testing the instrument whilst enjoying a bottle of wine. After the gates we opened, we set up our picnic with 25 close friends. We brought in salmon skewers, chicken skeweres, bacon wrapped scallops, melon / watermelon sewkeres. etc And then the band played. after 2 songs everyone was up rocking it. We celebrated our wedding ceremony. This location is just amazing!

Every song was awesome! The concert started out relaxing and chill, by the time Dance Dance Dance came on and Stevie officially declared a dance party, nearly everyone was their feet dancing and singing. I was blown away by how great they sounded. Recent recorded live concerts I've seen on PBS and YouTube do not do this band justice. You have to see and feel it live!

I love Steve Miller and have seen him many times and never get tired of his unforgettable songs and will always recommend him to friends and family. However, Saturday night at the Chateau Winery was the first time I was dissappointed in that venue. Extremely long waits to get through the Main gate to set up on the lawn and when we finally got in (got there 3 hours before event to get a good spot on the lawn) the place was already packed!! And, I mean packed and difficult to find a spot that wasn't in the neighbors back yard. Were people entrancing at a different location that got in before the long line of patience patrons? They must have because I have never gotten to the Chateau winery any earlier then I did last night to not be able to find a decent place on the lawn to watch a show. I hope this doesn't mean that I will have to eat breakfast there and spend the entire day just to get a spot for future events.

Never been to a concert where the band sounds better than ever before, but Steve Miller gets better with age (much like a good wine). A good mix of many oldies, and a few new hits.

I was a little worried after I bought my tickets because I heard that he played a lot of new songs from his upcoming album and not much of his older stuff I was familiar with. It actually didn't turn out that way. He did play a few songs I was not familiar with, but mostly they were instrumentals or letting other band members sing (I suppose so he could rest his voice). The band was great, the sound was amazing and he played every one of his hits. I recommend this concert to anyone who loves his music.

Steve Miller band played at Chateau Ste Michelle Winery last night to a very appreciative crowd. The mood was perfect. A sunny and warm Seattle night always puts locals in a good mood. Add to that, the great songs of yesterday from a group that sounded as if they hadn't aged one bit. Yeah, they looked older, but so do we. People danced like no one was watching as the Steve Miller Band created the magic. By far the best concert I have been to in many, many years. If you have a chance, GO!

Both performed well but there was a different feel and sound to steve millers set that was a notch above frampton. At one point in time peter asked if people could hear him as the have a strict decibel rule at the fair for sound. However when steve miller hit the stage. The overall sound quality improved greatly along with an increased volume. I also thought steves band was a much tighter sounding band. If you like both acts, you won't be disappointed.

Frampton was delightful and a solid performance, his tribute to Chris playing 'Blackhole Sun' and the story behind it was something I didn't know! Nicely done Peter. Steve Miller never disappoints and he did Muddy Waters tune that surprised me. Both guys played longer than what most do and both had positive messages, we need more of that.

The was really great other than Peter's meltdown about 3/4 through his set. It had to do with the cameraman panning the lady in front of me who was holding up the "Comes Alive" album cover. Everything in the press is correct. It happened a couple times and there was a brief verbal exchange and a tugging match over the camera. I seriously don't think anyone in the audience really minded the panning because everyone was really pumped but apparently Peter felt it was taking away from the show. Actually him confronting the guy was what took away from the show. After he left the stage they shut down both cameras and then he returned to complete the set. It was a bit ackward for a while......Steve Miller was totally amazing!!! He played all of his greats going back several years and his band was really tight!!! It just kind of reminded you what a great writer/performer he is!!!

Frampton always puts on a great show. I've seen him several times over the years and he never disappoints. First time I had seen Steve Miller Band and they were alright. SMB's keyboard player was fantastic but Frampton is such a great guitar player that hardly nothing compares. It was great but I wish Frampton was the main act. It was very humble of him to let SMB play a longer set.

We loved Steve Miller and Peter Frampton's show was amazing despite his rock star tantrum! We were up front so it didn't affect us when Frampton's meltdown resulted in the big jumbo screens staying black for the remainder of his set. Steve Miller band was awesome, professional, a pure joy. Frampton, although an exceptional musician, disappointed us with his behavior with a cameraman. The crowd went wild when a woman in the audience held up the Record album Cover with Peter Frampton as a 25-year-old musician. Again, the crowd went wild. Frampton walked to the cameraman and mouthed " F off "… This was an immature, ego-driven, pitiful response. He was upset that the camera man did not focus on him for the guitar solo.

Peter Frampton is one of those timeless artists whose music will live for generations. Every time I see him in concert it takes me back to the fun days of high school. Although he is missing the long flowing blonde hair, just close your eyes and he sounds like the Frampton we all know and love. I also love how he interacts with the audience. Their hair is gray, their faces are lined, but it sounded like 1975 with the powerhouse line up of Peter Frampton and the Steve Miller Band. They each played their hits and had the crowd on its feet, but the most memorable numbers were the two came together on stage to play some vintage Delta blues songs. Both guys still have their voices, both are guitar virtuosos, and their bands are equally accomplished (particularly the keyboardist for the Steve Miller Band). I've got to be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of The Steve Miller Band. I've always enjoyed their music, but I wouldn't have really called myself a fan until now. I really enjoyed this show. When I go to see artists that I am really in to, I go there expecting to hear the hits, but also hoping for some deep cuts, but when I go to see someone like Steve Miller, that is all I really want to hear and Steve and his band definitely delivered. The concert was just hit after hit, and my fiance and I had a blast. The tickets were very reasonably priced, especially considering that the show was opened by Peter Frampton, another rock icon I highly recommend this show. We sat a couple of rows behind the sound board for $50 per ticket, not including service charges, sales tax, etc.

The Steve Miller Band and Peter Frampton together was definitely a great show! Loved listening to a couple of rock legends play their old hits, their obscure songs that were never played on the radio and when they were just up there jamming together. Both Frampton snd Miller did not disappoint by playing their hits. I am hoping however the fans who came to hear fly like an eagle and do you feel like we do enjoyed the often unknown incredible guitar ability of both. The band was okay and the set list short. Fly like an eagle was one of the best songs as it was extended with soloing by everyone. Steve Miller has many good hit songs that were not played in the set. That's unfortunate as we got to hear some unknown songs which are not likely known by the typical fan, it certainly had a calming effect on the crowd. The Talking Stick Resort pool side is not the best place to see a show, especially in July when it is hot and humid. The floor seats are very small cheap fold up chairs that are zip tied together. You had no choice but to be jammed into whoever was next to you, so it was a big sweat ball with everyone. Steve Miller commented about the heat and feeling sorry for the casino arrangement. The sound at this venue is not so good either as it was not designed as a concert venue. It's a flat area near a pool with a stage added. I've been to other casinos that have very nice amphitheaters.

Outstanding show by Steve Miller Band. He sang all of his big hits - and did it great. His voice is still strong & steady (despite being a 'senior citizen') Brought back great memories of my high school dances. The band was great! He told some great stories & took a break from full band to do a few solo numbers and tell some stories. Sound & lights at Pacific Amphitheater was terrific - there isn't really a bad seat in the house (tho I wouldn't choose seats in the 10 or so seats to the far right or far left. 2 big screens provided close up views.

I've been to a good bit of concerts. Steve miller band didn't put on a concert, they put on a performance far from boring. Looking forward to seeing them again, soon.

This tour is different, but GREAT! Old records, and blues, and some just fun jamming as well. I don't want to spoil it all, so I won't give away the details, but the band had the audience in their hands the whole night. Great solos, great vocal harmonies, wonderful stage effects and lighting.

Great opening set by up and comer Mathew Curry! Then Steve Miller and crew proceeded to electrify the house with a string of hits. Coupled with an interesting stage set up and clean sound made for an enjoyable show.

Amazing show, Steve and his band covered music he recorded from 1968 thru 2009. Obviously his guitar playing was top notch but I was amazed that his vocals sounded like they did when he was in his 30s. The concert was bookended by two sets that included most of the tunes from the first greatest hit collection. In between was the blues rock material that has been his concert staple for years. His "personas" were on full display. He has a subtle sense of humour and I think there was some deep felt emotion for band members who are gone now. The reverence he gave the harmonica he pulled from his shirt pocket and played during "The Stake" makes me wonder if it had been Norton's.

Great show. Miller played all of his standards. His voice sounded great. Hasn't changed since the last time I saw him in the 70s. Had a great time. One comment is I noticed on a few songs he and his band would do an extended jam and they sounded great. But I couldn't find an example if those improvised jams on any recordings. Steve needs to do a live album where the focus is the extended jams and alternate versions!

Really good concert. Played all the old top hits. Audio (vocals) mix was a little off....lead vocal mike volume for Steve Miller was not high enough. Great guitar licks on many songs.

Steve Miller still delivers. He and his awesome band played hit after hit. The audience went wild when R & B singer Sonny Charles sang soul numbers Ooh Poo Pah Doo, Further On Up the Road and Sweet Little Angel mid concert which gave Steve Miller's voice a little break. The band continued to rock and get louder as the concert went on. Everyone went wild when Steve Miller placed a green "joker" mask over his face and then tossed it into the audience in anticipation of him playing his famous hit, The Joker. The band played over two hours and ended the show with Jet Airliner as an encore….but wait…Steve and his band were still fired up so we got to hear them play Rock'n Me…..and the audience went wild…AGAIN!!!! Very fun and memorable night.

The entire band was great. They played for an hour and a half. Sounded exactly the same as the seventies. Steve Miller sat down and played a campfire like setting instead of taking a break which the band needed. One of the best concerts I've attended and highly recommend attending. They really know how to entertain and I mean all of the band fantastic time

What a great concert from a great band. Started on time, no stupid warm up band, played hard the whole time with one encore. My kind of concert!

The music was terrific. Quality, performance by all. You don't have to worry about lost vocals or sloppy / tired instrumental performance. Songs could have been playing from my IPOD, all the sounds were as recorded. Great show.

This was our first experience at Red Rocks, great setting for a concert. The Doobie Brothers rocked it out! The sound was great, the setlist was fun with some new and lots of old tunes. Yes, there was a lot of hair dye and plugs going on, but they were great, I'd give them 5 stars. Steve Miller Band opened well, slid in to a bunch of unknown blues tunes - putting the crowd to sleep, and finished with stuff from Fly Like an Eagle and title track from the Joker. The middle mix was great blues, but it wasn't what we were there to see and it got BORING. 2 stars. It was Boston's second album tour since I heard a sound system so bad. I don't know what the engineer couldn't make work but we'd get 15 seconds of nice clear, loud sound and then mush and then more mush and then clear and then mush and... Steve needs to hire the Doobie's sound engineer - he/she knew what they were doing.
