Seeing British guitarist Matt Schofield live in concert, however, is an intimate, emotional experience that begs to differ. Schofield's latest album, As Far As I Can See, was produced with the intention of sounding as close to a live album as possible, but seeing him tackle his trademark kicky grooves in the flesh is a thrill unmatched by a set of speakers. Another great show from a truly gifted guitarist. I'm glad to see that more people are becoming aware of the hidden treasure that is Matt Schofield. He has much to offer a willing listener in the way of his passion and performance of the blues. I would recommend to Matt to incorporate some covers in his set to further highlight his talent which would also to his benefit draw more listeners...Loved the show...!!!

I saw Matt for the first time recently in Fairfield Ct and he played all Albert King covers and he was off the charts impressive. The trio at Chappaqua with hisown material was uninspiring. I didn t stay until the end. Hes a very talentd and capable guitarist but this show was a yawner.

Scofield is a "master" guitarist/blues man. Exciting young musicians rounded out the trio. This was my first exposure to Matt Scofield, and the band exceeded my expectations. I hope that he will return to this venue, and I will make a point of getting the word out to others, about this incredibly talented musician. Don't miss him if he is playing at a venue near you!
