Their synth-heavy music is bold, uplifting, and sure to have fans dancing all night long on their unforgettable tours. Love the venue. A Silent Film was absolutley amazing. Ive seen them quite a few times now and each gig is more amazing than the previous one. You can feel how much they love performing as they are on stage. No words can really explain how memorable they are.

Every band killed it. Foxtrot sounded great. Big Data was the reason I went to the concert and they sounded fantastic - I want to see a full set by them now. Misterwives was also so phenomenal I plan on seeing a full set by them as well. Didn't stay for New Politics or A Silent Film but New Politics I know for a fact puts on killer performances.

A Silent Film has great onstage energy, their music is magical and they are personable and funny. They're very engaged with their fans and really love what they do. You can hear that and feel that in the music. Their sound is dynamic, lyrics are beautiful. I've seen them 4 times now and they are consistently amazing and ever improving.

I went to see A Silent Film, but was pleasantly surprised to see that American Authors were performing also. As was Gold Fields and DeSoto Jones. I got there just in time to see American Authors finish up their set and they sounded great. I was pleasantly surprised by Gold Fields, didn't realize I knew two of their songs. Doesn't hurt they have adorable Aussie accents. A Silent Film - - OUTSTANDING. They seemed to truly love that we all came out to see them and share in the concert experience with them. They did not disappoint.

This was a part of the new music revolution where the radio station is putting on shows for up and coming bands. I missed the first 2 acts, but caught Charlotte natives Matrimony. Everybody needs to check this up and coming band out. They are a fuse of Metric and the modern folk/alt-rock. A Silent Film is also very great. Up and coming! Any fans of Coldplay and Keane, you need to check these guys out. Great show and would see these guys again!

Every one of the bands was exceptional for this show. We need to have these monthly in Charlotte. Some of the best music out there right now is from up and coming bands. Let's do this again soon!

I had never heard of A Silent Film before this month, as I originally had wanted to see another band that ultimately had to back out due to scheduling conflict, but A Silent Film made me forget they had ever been on the card. They were an excellent act, a bit of Coldplay, The Killers, Snow Patrol and Keane all rolled into one. And they were such a nice group of men as they hung out after the show to meet and greet their fans. I'm so used to bands just hightailing it out and it was so refreshing to just talk to them for a minute or two. I highly recommend this band and highly recommend seeing them as soon as possible.

This was one of the most pleasant surprises I've experienced at concert. I expected the band to be good but they were excellent! They were exciting and energetic and sounded great! They also hung out afterwards until every fan got an autograph and their picture taken -- amazing!

Loved this band. Hadn't heard them live before but the show was even better than expected. The venue was perfect for the amount of people who came out. Carousel opened and I would highly recommend them as well. Anchor and Braille was the middle band before the headliner: A Silent Film came out. Overall great show!

Unbelievable! Awesome performance. Good sound. These guys deserve to be huge, & hopefully will be, so it's a treat to see them in such a small venue. They came out & chatted with their fans after the show. Great band & nice guys!

I first heard A Silent Film about a year ago, and they have already skyrocketed to my handful of favorite bands. They are truly great guys who write from the heart, and transfer that energy into their performance as well. It's not every day you find bands this young who are able to sound just as good live as they do on the album. They played a handful of songs from their debut album "The City That Sleeps", and quite a few from their upcoming sophomore album, "Sand & Snow". Usually when bands play brand new material it's difficult for the crowd to really get into it since it's so new. But, the new songs sounded so great that the crowd had no problem getting into them. There is really nothing more I can say, other than GO SEE THEM. I was fortunate enough to meet them the night of the show and they are really humble guys with talent that easily measures up with Coldplay, Snow Patrol, and U2. The problem is that no one knows yet. This was not only the cheapest show I've ever been to ($10), but it was among the best-sounding when it comes to small venues. I highly recommend you check these guys out, as it's only a matter of time before they are playing big venues. One last note that I do want to mention. I don't remember the last time I went to a show where the opening band was awesome. This show definitely had a great opener in the band "Empires" based out of Chicago. They have an Indie/Alternative feel, and I wouldn't have forgiven myself if I didn't give them props. If you want a good taste of them, look up their song "Strangers". Unbelievable.

I don't know what to say. They are without doubt my favorite band. Their Lyrics are Poetic, the musicality of the songs is top notch and they perform live better than anyone i've ever heard They are something of a cross between Coldplay, Muse and James Blunt If you havent listened to there songs check these out and you won'tn be disapointed Youtube these right now You will Leave a Mark 13 times the strength Julie June ( live)

Yes, I just did that comparison, but I totally mean it!! A Silent Film played to a very small crowd in Lancaster, PA and gave us everything they had. The vocals were SPOT on and the keyboard work was phenomenal. I wish more bands would use keyboards. I had such a great time and getting to hang out with them after the show for a bit proved to me just how gracious a group they really are. Fun times!! If they come to your area, don't miss out! ....go see them.

I just received a copy of their latest, Sand and Snow, last week. Listened to it and loved it. Saturday, checked their site to see their tour dates and was so pleased to see that they would be @ The Bowery on 7/30. I was prepared for a good show, based on the recommendation of a friend. I was not disappointed. They seemed to play every song from the new CD, as well as 2-3 from a previous release. "Anastasia" was one I recall. Their final number was "Danny Dakota and the Wishing Well" and they tore it up. Then proceeded to stay on stage for two more, including "Thousand Mile Race" Lead singer Robert Stevenson had some Jaggerish moves and a very high energy level. Also handled the lack of a mike stand for their fourth song very well. They simply launched into another. Ditto for later in the show when the drummer's kit malfunctioned. Stevenson simply sat down at the keyboard and played a tune while the repairs were made.

The show was good, though short, sparsely attended, and a little samey. The songs need a little variety.

Regardless of venue size, these boys always perform as if in front of a stadium crowd. They appreciate the venues with a more intimate setting and enjoy interacting with their audience. They are very willing to stick around after the show and meet their fans whenever possible. I have been to quite a few A Silent Film shows, and I am always impressed with the show and the fans. I definitely recommend their live show for any first timers, you will be hooked!

My first A Silent Film show and I went with very high expectations as I've enjoyed their music for years and watched several performances on YouTube. Their performance EXCEEDED my expectations. Crowd was sparse for a midweek show but the people who were there got LOUD! Band interaction was incredible and they played as though it was to a full arena which solidified what they always said about how important their fans are to them. Following the show they met with everyone who waited and chatted and signed merchandise and posed for photos. Extremely talented gentlemen who have mastered their sound and exude confidence onstage. I will see them live every opportunity I have!

The only downside of this show was that more people didn't show up to see it. This band is a huge talent that goes largely unappreciated. They still delivered an excellent performance. Go see this band now while you have the chance to see them in small intimate settings.

Run, don't walk, don't dilly dally, don't dither...get to whichever show(s) you can by A Silent Film. The band sounds amazing live, I love their new songs, they are adorable (!!) and most importantly - you have to see them perform Danny, Dakota, and the Wishing Well live. Saw them at The Sinclair in Boston last week and I'm still dancing and smiling!

This band is amazing! They put on the best live show I've ever seen. They connect with their fans from the stage and make you feel like they are singing every song to you. The new members of the band seem to gel well with Robert and Spencer - mad props to Matthew from Houston on some killer lead guitar. Interactive. Fan-friendly. Lyrics that feel like they have come from your own head. LOVE THIS BAND!

Flagship is an upstart band from Charlotte and put on a great opening set, keep an eye on them in the future. Always been a big fan of A Silent Film and now as a duo with some studio musicians they really sound great. Never understood why they aren't more popular.

Many people seemed confused by their name, but A Silent Film is a tremendously talented band from England comprised of Robert Stevenson and Spencer Walker. They have a wide array of music in their catalog. I have yet to attend a show and witness somebody who walks away disappointed. They are extremely hard working, energetic and very focused on showing their fans just how much they appreciate their support. Go to a show. Meet them. Meet their fans.

It's a shame Big Data were the 2nd band to perform out of 5. They have the best songs. I, as well as many others, left before A Silent Film began. I saw them at a 104.5 show a few years ago and they kind of stunk. They really only had 1 good song and aren't a reason to headline. The singer is a wanna-be Mick Jagger and they just don't have the songs worthy of a good show.

I was most looking forward to seeing Big Data- but was super disappointed- they sounded awful...I am assuming something to do with their soundcheck. But definitely have a new appreciation for MisterWives- lead singer chick said she was sick as all hell but she rocked it! She sounded amazing and so did the band. They were super fun to watch. Didn't stay for A Silent Film.

A Silent Film were a lot of fun to see live. Recently, I've seen a bunch of bands of whom I probably wouldn't see again (JOY Formidable) even though they put on a good show. A Silent Film is NOT one if those bands. I would see them again for sure as well as the amazing Jillette Johnson who opened for them.

I don't go to many live gigs so I don't have much to compare these guys to, but I can honestly say that I had one of the best times of my life at this concert. Gold Fields, the band that played before ASF, totally killed it. I'd never heard them before but they blew my mind and I have since looked them up. ASF was so charming and, of course, sounded completely amazing. They connected with the audience really well & afterward were so patient about giving autographs and taking pictures, and were just overall a pleasure to meet and talk to. I would see both Gold Fields and ASF again in less than a heartbeat.
