Silverstein

SILVERSTEIN IN CONCERT:Since bursting onto the scene in 2000, Canadian post-hardcore outfit Silverstein has consistently wowed audiences with their energetic, adrenaline-filled concerts. Their setlists pull from all seven of their studio albums and feature longtime favorites "Vices", "Bleeds No More", and "Smile In Your Sleep" alongside recent singles like "Stand Amid The Roar" and "Massachusetts". Frontman Shane Told pours his heart out onstage, alternating between soft melodic croons and thunderous screamo yells. The rest of the band radiates passion, from Paul Koehler's relentless drumming to bassist Billy Hamilton's guttural growling.

The bands were such good friends , they were wearing eachothers band tees . The opening acts were very talented , hard to believe they weren't doing concerts theirselves . Hands like houses is the main reason I went to The concert , i wasent fully into the other bands until I heard them play live and seen how great they were in concert . Although the crowd surfing and circling up got a little crazy , this show was unforgettable . Hands like houses are incredible performers , just as they are a band . All the music that night was hard core and amazing as always and kept everyone on their feet and no one stopped moving for one second ! Great hype show !

I had to drive nearly 4 hours in the snow to see this show (closest show on the Silverstein tour) and the venue was perfect! And the show was everything I'd hoped it'd be. I feel like I can say I truely enjoyed myself and got to see my favorite band live for the first time.

This was my first screamo concert I've ever been to and it was a very intense experience. They other opening bands were surprisingly good. Silverstein was great but could have been a bit better. I also felt like they could have played a few more songs. Didn't seem like they were out that long and it seemed like the concert ended a bit early.

I was really disaponted with this show. I was expecting I see stars to be there and Silverstein was the only good band. Don't get me wrong, Silverstein is beyond amazing and they made the whole show worth it, but other than that I was unhappy. It was the worst show I've been to at starland yet, but I love Silverstein and starland<3

This was my first standing admission concert. I went with my two friends from New York. we got in quickly and got a spot right in front. The first band was My Arcadia, then Serazada, The World Alive, Dr Acula, then Madina lake. All these bands were amazing, even the 4 smaller bands i had never heard of. By the time madina lake went on, i was right in front and caught a guitar pic. Silverstein was amazing too, they played a long set and came back for a 3 song encore. i caught one of the pics then too. After the show some band members were walking around and selling merch. I bought Serazada's cd and had them autograph it. The concert left us in an awesome mood and my friends who had been to many concerts like this before said it was the best they had ever been to. The band members were extremely humble and friendly. The show was amazing and im sorry if you missed it.

The Word Alive was amazing. They sounded better then on cd, I just wish I could have met them. Madina Lake was pretty good and Silverstein was amazing too. The band before Madina Lake wasn;t good though. I support them playing music and all but I would not go see them again. TWA COME TO NEW YORK

I'm the mom of 15 year-old twins who love Silverstein. I went with the kids last night, and we all had a great time! I'm not into this "new music", I'm loyal to the more traditional metal like Judas Priest. With that said, I must go by my kids reaction more than anything. They had a great time!! Silverstein played a lot of their older tunes as well as their new stuff, and played a lot of crowd-pleasers. The bands we very respectful to the fans....hanging out with the crowd after the show, allowing for picture taking and autographs. We were all very impressed with one of the opening bands in particular, "i see stars". They were a great band as well.

I've seen Silverstein probably a dozen times in at least 4 different states, and they always put on an amazing show. I've been a fan for nearly 15 years, so of course I would have preferred more of their older songs, but they still did a fairly good job balancing their new album and other more recent albums with the songs we all loved from the When Broken Is Easily Fixed days. I was shocked they didn't include Bleeds No More in their encore, because they have every other time I've seen them, but all in all they played an awesome set and I'm stoked I was able to go. No matter what the set list is, there is simply no such thing as a Silverstein show that is anything less than amazing.

I didn't know who any of the opening bands where, but they were all amazing! Emarosa was incredible. Very high energy, the lead singer was everywhere jumping into the crowd. It was great. We had arrived a little late and missed the first opening band called Rarity. We saw Coldrain from Japan, amazing band! Being as an Ocean was great, but not entirely my kind of music. Still high energy good rock band. Silverstein was incredible. They played songs from all their cds, great energy and they really knew how to get the crowd going! I would see them again in a heartbeat. They have always been one of my favorite bands. All in all great show, Loved the bands!

The concert at paradise Rock club in Boston was absolutely incredible all the bands were amazing!! All are true performers putting on a fantastic show for their fans!!!! Silverstein going back to some of their original music was awesome that really made my night. It makes me happy that they see that's the stuff that really got them going!! All band members of all the bands were very social with great attitudes and down to Earth. My opinion if you have an opportunity to see any of them absolutely take the chance I am positive you won't be disappointed!!! Had an absolute blast. Thank you

You might call it bias since I've been in love with Silverstein for 13 years and this was the first time I've ever seen them live, but I had a blast at this show. It was my first concert like this actually so I was not prepared for how physical it was going to be. The moshing was fun and being part of a surging crushing crowd with crowd surfing people almost getting dropped on you was a surprise. Besides one girl who out weighed me by 100 pounds and being 5 inches taller than me shoving me so hard that she left bruises because she wanted to make room for her friend, the show was remarkable, incredible, and the energy was palpable. When Silverstein would play an old favorite, the whole audience lost their collective mind. My sister and I were so blown away that we nearly cried when we left.

Silverstein was great. The have so many albums and songs they can't possibly play all the ones you want to hear. They always put on a great show. Been listening to these guys since like junior high. Wasn't sure what to expect, as I've never seen them before or been to PCMH. They were super dank, tho. They have a great ethic, as their sound was very energetic and close to what they sound like on record. Shane's screams live were dope, and he was very interactive with the crowd. This was a great show, I always love getting to see live music. The venue in Calgary was great, it was small but not too small. I enjoyed getting to have a few drinks while watching the bands play, because the bar wasn't far from the stage. Beartooth wasn't as good live as I thought they would be (mainly the singer), but they still put on a show and I still had a lot of fun. Their guitarist actually hung from the ceiling and then dropped down and crowd surfed for a while. I thought "Wow! This is going to be an intense show!", but that was really the only intense part. Silverstein was great as usual and fun to watch. I feel very special to have been a part of their Discovering The Waterfront Tour, as it was an amazing album and you don't usually get to hear much of a band's older music. They played the entire DTWF album and even played some other songs such as "Giving Up," "Smashed Into Pieces," and their NEW song, "A Midwestern State Of Emergency." Overall it was an awesome show. In my opinion, the merchandise table kind of sucked, not a lot of cool options for T-shirts, but I bought one anyways for the memories. I also pre-ordered their new CD for $10 and received a signed poster, so that was cool.

It's been almost a decade since I last saw Silverstein and they didn't disappoint. The energy and quality those 5 brought was unparalleled. The setlist was a perfect mix of slow, fast, old and new songs which satisfied almost every fan, especially considering how large their catalog is. They spoke to the crowd both during and after the show, they were open to taking pictures with the fans, giving autographs etc. You could just tell how passionate they still are about making music and performing. So happy I went to see them! It was incredibly nostalgic. Easily the best $25 I've ever spent. I would've payed $100 to see these guys.

This was my first time at The Sinclair. I like the venue. Plenty of room, but still intimate and plenty of places to watch from. I also like that there are multiple levels to choose from as well as tables to watch from too (when you don't want to be in the pit of course...). Anyway, the show started with Glass Cloud. I saw them before on the AP tour and wasn't impressed then and I'm not now. I think their guitarist has a challenging job, but I don't like anything else. Lots of reverb and echo on the "singer's" voice. Issues was interesting because they seem to meld a lot of different genres. The ex-singer from Woe is Me could easily be making timberlake-esq pop music for tons more money, haha, but I like the change between his voice and the guy who screams (good screams too). They only have an EP out now. It'll be interesting if they stay together and make an LP sometime. I'd see them again live. Secrets commanded a lot of energy from the crowd, but they seemed like generic screamo to me. Nothing stood out about them really, but they weren't bad. This was also when a pretty large fight started on the floor. They cleared it up pretty fast, but it's been a while since I saw a fight like that at a show, haha. Like Moths to Flames is off and on for me. I think they put on a good show, but there are only a couple songs I think are actually good. Then it was Silverstein's turn. When you listen to Silverstein's extensive discography, and you haven't seen them live, you may think they have two singers. They do not. Their lead singer seamlessly transfers from a great melodic voice to strong screaming and it's great. I still can't figure out how he does it so well. They played for about an hour or more and it was all great. They have a lot to choose from, but they know which ones really mean something to the audience. The new cd is really good too, so the new stuff fits well and you're not bored, waiting for the old stuff. I will always go see SIlverstein live and you should too.

A Bullet for Pretty Boy was the first band we watched. They played well and the crowd was into the music. The Chariot played next and they were absolutely amazing. The music sounded great and the band was very energetic and entertaining. They were also fun to talk to after the show. I didn't pay much attention to Pierce the Veil or Miss May I because I hadn't listened to them before. Silverstein was fantastic, as usual. They played a very good mix of old and new songs. I enjoyed one song in particular, "Replace You," that was off the new EP. Shane began playing acoustic guitar and singing, while the other band members came into the song one by one, eventually bringing it to full-band sound. They also played "You're All I have," which is my favorite that never gets played. The crowd got a little too rough at times, but overall, the show was excellent. Silverstein is just as awesome live as they are in the studio. They played all my favs and then some. The first opening act, the Lost Concept, was amazing as well. I've seen them before (opening for Story of the Year) and they were just as great this time. The only thing that kept the whole night from being perfect was the second opener. The Whoones, or Hoones, or w/e the hell...they suck. Literally. Sucked all the energy out of the place. Half the audience was just kind of blankly staring at the stage and the rest walked out to the lobby to wait for Silverstein. It was bad. Also, security could have been better. The moshpit was getting kind of out of hand at some points. Overall, a great night.

Overall, it was an amazing night! The venue was gorgeous, and it wasn't super crowded, so it gave everyone plenty of room to move around and rock out, if they so desired. All of the bands, except one, were phenomenal. That one band, tragically, was Emarosa. I am a huge Emarosa fan, and I do love their new album. I was excited to see them perform with their new singer. I was wildly disappointed in them, as only about a third of every song was sung, the remaining two thirds being random heavy breathing, or the guy just moving around. As all of the other performers that night demonstrated, you can jump around and still sing your songs perfectly. I'm not really sure what happened, but as a big fan, it broke my heart a little. Even with the disappointment I felt from that, the night was still incredible. Silverstein.....just wow. I've been a fan since When Broken Is Easily Fixed, and it may have taken me 13 years, but I finally saw them and just wow! Soooo worth the wait. The only other thing I can say, is I paid $11 for a can of beer, which is pretty crazy, but I still did it, so whatever. I did love that there were plenty of bars. ;)

The show was awesome, the bands are great. This is the second time I have gone to this venue to see a show and it was the same experience. The only thing I really don't like about this venue and I'm sure to tell my friends or anyone that asks about it is that the staff is rude, obnoxious and disrespectful . The only other thing as dont plan on using your phone what so ever there is no service here but that's not one fault just bad cell service. Others than those to things I really like the venue and probably will go there again in the future.

Once again Silverstein throws an amazing show...started off by energetic groups that moved the crowd. With two acoustic songs performed near the end of the show Silverstein made it feel like a very personal show! Immediately after they were available for pictures and autographs...definitely a fan driven experience.

I'll admit that I only went for Issues. I left before Silverstein came on, but I came out loving the other bands. They all know how to put on a good show! My only negative is that the sets seem to have gone too quickly for my liking. Other than that, I enjoyed every bit of it.

Sold show overall. Every band sounded like they do on record which is very good. Pits were relatively tame throughout (minus the opener), I think that was due to the older crowd which Silverstein brings. But was still a great show and always cool to see one of the foundation bands of hardcore

i loved the intro for issues and how tyler still had enough energy to sing for us, even though he was sick.

I've seen many bands live, yet Silverstein tops them all. Culture room is the smallest venue I've been to. I mean this in a postive way.

I have had the most amazing pleasure of seeing my favorite band for the first time last summer & it was literally one of the most amazing performances I've seen. I do wish they came by New York more often because they have so many of their adored fans here and I would LOVE to see them once again<3

I've been watching Bayside and Silverstein live for almost 10 years and they never disappoint. They played a good amount of material from their new albums and the fan favorites.

I have never been to the Paradise before this, and between both the venue, and the bands, this was an amazing show. I can't say I was a fan of the opening band or Polar Bear Club, but Silverstein was already one of my favorite bands, and after seeing them live, they are even higher on my list. This was my first time hearing Bayside, and I liked what I heard. The Swellers were awesome, and it was my first time hearing them, as well. The venue is perfect size, and is at a good location right off the T.

What a great venue to see Silverstein for off. This was the first night of the Take Action Tour and it seemed to go off without a hitch. For a first night they really had their act together. I arrive to the show in time to see Polar bear club who I was unfamiliar with. They were pretty good. Good stage presence and a unique voice on the singer. Right after Silverstein came on and did a great job as always. Their set was much shorter than what I would have thought, but then again, they weren't the headliner. Everything was right on and the vocals were perfect between the screaming and melodic singing. Great band as always. The headliner was Bayside. I knew their music, but never saw them live. For a band with a singer with a guitar they had a lot of energy. They had the crowd as well, which always helps. Lots of fun rocking out with them.

Bayside continues to impress me every time I see them (6 times now). It was my first time seeing Silverstein and they were also very good. I missed Texas in July unfortunately, but the rest of the opening bands were all very good. Well worth the trip out to see this lineup.

The first band that played was a local St. Louis band. They were excelent but none of the merch guys knew what their name was so unfortunately I don't know. This was my third time seeing Silverstein and it seems to me like they get better every time. I love those guys. Got to meet Shane too.
