There was a lot going on in our personal lives as fathers, husbands and as individuals, I think we realized it was time to move on to different seasons in our lives. The hard thing about it is I don't want to say we are breaking up, because we are not. It's more just moving on.

MercyMe was exhausted by trying to live up to other people's expectations. About 10 years after the Christian band charted its multi-platinum song "I Can Only Imagine," they were on the brink of breaking up. They were tired from constant touring. Singer Bart Millard said their families were "hanging by a thread."
