Is Electric Light Orchestra still together?
Apart from a brief reunion in the early 2000s, ELO remained largely inactive until 2014, when Lynne re-formed the band with Tandy as Jeff Lynne's ELO.

At the same time, the advent of music videos meant ELO didn't have to doggedly tour in order to reach their audience. A giant bale of hay has killed a founding member of the Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) band after it tumbled down a hill and crashed into his van. "I thought it would be good to shorten it for a change, as I was getting fed up with the longwinded Electric Light Orchestra name.
What is ELO doing now? Currently, Jeff Lynne is the only founding member still in the group, as Roy Wood left in 1972 and the group disbanded in 1986. Although Bev Bevan and Jeff started ELO Part II in 1991, they both left the group after a few years.

Drummer Bev Bevan was around from their inception all the way through 1986's Balance of Power, but after Lynne dissolved the band in the late 1980s, he began touring with new musicians as ELO Part II. The spinoff group led to a massive legal battle between Lynne and Bevan, and they haven't spoken in three decades.
