Wild Kratts is more for ages 4+, because you get to learn about animals. My dad thinks this show is good for preschoolers, because it is educational. The 6+ rating makes it scare young kids, but it should not scare any young kid.

My kids have loved this show for years. Each episode provides an easy to digest summary of an animal mixed with cartoon hijinks and shenanigans. The Kratt's positivity and energy is infectious and much needed in our modern cynical world. very highly recommended.

It gives teens and adults positive messages to learn from this show as well! Here is why I'm putting 6+ as the age recommendation instead of 4+: Zoboomafoo has the occasional mild profanity (odd for a Y-rated show); but it's not very frequent.
