Early years

This Louisiana rapper, born on March 7, 1989, got the nickname Hurricane due to the combination of speed, force of character and energetic nature. Like his colleagues, Hurricane Chris grew up and developed in the atmosphere of southern rap, gaining a reputation as one of its youngest exponents.

Signature releases

Like many representatives of southern rap, Hurricane Chris became a recognizable artist thanks to one very catchy song produced and released back in 2007. It was called A Bay Bay. The record featuring the famous hook with a simple and easily repeatable phrase brought the rapper national popularity and still remains the best-known work of its author. At the time, it was a completely unexpected record and seemed very energetic and vivid at the same time, as if the rapper addressed his potential listeners with his fresh voice.

There is one more very recognizable record made by Hurricane Chris, namely his single entitled Halle Berry (She's Fine). These are some of the works featuring this artist which should be noticed separately:

  • A Bay Bay (2007), the breakout song of this rapper
  • Halle Berry (She's Fine)
  • 51/50 Ratchet (2009), the debut album

In fact, Hurricane Chris released his first album called 51/50 Ratchet back in 2009 after his hit single became so popular and recognized. He released one more project in 2009 as well as his third project entitled "Rappin' in the Kitchen" recorded in 2010.

It is known also that Hurricane Chris appeared and presented himself on different television shows and participated in various musical programs, especially during 2013, namely he joined such TV projects as BET Comedy Roast: Kevin Hart, The Mo'nique Show and 2 Chainz Birthday Bash: Party With The King of Rap.

Later career

In general, his biography shows that, being an unexpectedly successful artist, Hurricane Chris tried to maintain his fame after the first popular song A Bay Bay appeared and to bring something new to the rap music community with new releases and performances at concerts. His later works and performances feature the same character and style of songs which brought him fame.

As for fans, the biography of this artist is important because his career is connected mainly with one song and album only. Hurricane Chris remains one of those musicians whom it is easy to describe just by listening to one single. His main merit consists in the effective combination of personal style with regional influence of Louisiana rap.
