Being one of the recognizable names in Mexico in regard to soccer, Omar Bravo should be considered one of the finest Mexican soccer forwards of his generation. Famous for being in the lineup of club C.D. Early childhood and development
Coming from Los Mochis, a small city that is a part of the state of Sinaloa in Mexico, and having been born on March 4, 1980, Omar Bravo started his sports career as a member of the soccer team of C.D. Guadalajara. Starting his career as a member of the youth selection of the above team, and developing the skills of a striker, Omar proved to be worthy of playing for Guadalajara.
Not having the attributes of a fast and strong striker, like power or speed, he gained recognition as a very intelligent forward that used great sense of movement as well as great ability to see a situation and attack the goal. Being good at attacking the net at the right moment, Omar was perfect for this position.
Chivas era
During this decade Omar Bravo got famous in the entire nation and in the whole world of soccer. He contributed largely to the success of the Guadalajara team that managed to become the winner of the Clausura 2006 competition that took place that year, and it turned to be a landmark moment in Omar's career, as being a part of such a famous club he had to shoulder enormous responsibilities in front of many supporters, and for the majority of fans he became one of those people who are to be relied upon when the team faces difficulties and when the ball goes under some pressure.
Being part of this team, Omar Bravo also made his debut for the national team in 2001 and played for Mexico at the World Cup in Germany.
International recognition
The next period of his life is connected to appearing on the stage of world competitions that opened the possibility for Omar to enter the ranks of international selections as a promising young forward. It became possible due to his successful participation and contribution that Omar provided at different competitions, where he demonstrated all those skills of his that helped him to develop as a player.
Besides playing in the national selection of Mexico, Omar Bravo also had to spend a certain period of his career in Spain as a member of Deportivo La Coruña.
Later in his life, he also played in Kansas City, being a member of the Major League Soccer team called Sporting Kansas City.
