CONCACAF Gold Cup

The CONCACAF Gold Cup™ is the biennial nations championship for North and Central America and the Caribbean, and is the confederation's premier event. The Gold Cup evolved from a series of championships in the region dating back to 1941. It began in its current structure in 1991. At times, the CONCACAF championship also served as a qualifier for the World Cup, but since its inception, the Gold Cup has been an independent championship irrespective of other tournaments.

So soccer is exploding in the U.S., and Levi's stadium did their best to kill or at least slow the momentum! Levi's Stadium sits at the heart of technologicsl innovation. However they still haven't figured out how to shade the East Bake Wall! People just left because of the intense late afternoon and evening sun! Come on guys, one kite shade that moves with the sunset would siffice, and dazzle your guests! It's not rocket science! So maybe a bit smaller venue that understands you can't charge $14 for decent beer, and simmer your guests, should have been given this fixture. Empty seats is not a good look or feel. Security should have filtered the crowd down to better and empty seats! Tje TV package works better and Levi's would have been social media darlings for 72 hrs. But they don't really get it! Money wins the extremely hot day here!

The spectacle and organization were very good, good games and specially I am happy because me team won. Perhaps a little more internal security and streets traffic control with police officers, would help to easy the flow going in and out of the premisses and sorrounding areas. But the over all is a positive 9; I will recomende it to my friends and I will be back when another good game is schedule. Thanks.

The venue is beautiful. The stadium is very comfortable and the seats I got were perfect. The two games entertained but the El Salvador vs.. Costa Rica game was by far the best. The action was non stop and the we did not know the winner of the game until the last ten minutes. I would go again to see another Gold Cup game, unfortunately this was the only such a game scheduled at the Home Depot.

I am a "gringa" as they say and of all the sporting events ths was the routiest I ever experienced. I think everyone should experince going to one of these soccer games at least one. My husband is El Salvadorean so it was great to be by his side and support his country. Fans brought drums, noise makers and toilet paper to throw on the field. Actually my husband just corrected me...I guess they steal the toilet paper from the bathrooms...WOW who knew! I loved every minute of it!

It was the best time in my life as a salvadorian i felt proud of my country because almost the whole stadium wore from el salvador and they wore there for the same reason to see they country played. It was the best game i ever seem.

Great atmosphere for the CONCACAF cup. You can't do better than Mexico v USA in terms of CONCACAF rivalries. Everyone stood for the entire game. Great energy and 5 goals (3-2) and going into additional time made the game exciting. I thought it would go into PKs.

It was a disappointing result seeing the U.S. fall to Jamaica, but we enjoy international soccer and we're happy to be there to cheer on USA. The Mexico-Panama game was wild. Enjoyed seeing the talent on all 4 teams live & up close.

Everything was absolutely great. The reason I took away a star is because there not enough buses to and from Port Authority New York City. There was a 2 hour line at Port Authority New York when waiting to get TO the stadium. And another 4 and half hour line waiting to get back from Metlife Stadium to Port Authority New York City. The event lasts only 2 hours, and we spent 6 hours waiting on buses. Thats just rediculous. Make sure you come with a car.

My husband and I were one of the few non-Spanish speaking people there, so we felt a little out of place, but everything was announced in both English and Spanish. It was great to see all the families there. I love the Mexico national team and to see Charlotte break the expected attendance was awesome. The Mexican people are so passionate and I'm glad we went. I saw the USA game a couple days later in Maryland and there was hardly anyone there. I know it's common to throw bottles, ect. but to throw them at the players was a little disrespectful, that being said...Futlbol is passion. See you Saturday!! PSG vs Chelsea!!

The game it self was amazing!! We took are 10 year old for his birthday and he had a blast. I would recommend it to anybody that is a soccer fan in general. The event its self was amazing but the staff from the stadium at times were not helpful they let people sit where they wanted and also some people were smoking in the stadium. But our overall experience was amazing and I would go again!!!

For $75 we had seats at the 45 just underneath the VIP section. The cardinals stadium was stunning, enclosed with AC. The Ticket was for 2 soccer matches! definitely worth the money! Trinidad v cuba and Mexico v guatemala. During the mexico game I noticed that the people who reserved the vip section directly behind me turned out to be the trinidad team, to include the coach! (yes I took a pic) I will definitely return to any event at that stadium! Only downside was that parking was $20.00. Total attendees was close to 63,000 but the parking lot attendants managed to get us out of the parking lot and onto the highway in about 15 minutes. section 239 row 9

This was my first soccer game and we had a blast. Our seats were great and then event was really exciting. But I almost wished that they had a Haitian interpreter for the Haiti game because they had an American as well as a Spanish one. Other than that, I would def go again.

This is my 4th Mexico game at soldier field and I've enjoyed them all. The only issue with Mexico games is the ignorant Mexican fans. They LOVE to throw beers if Mexico scores a goal. If you buy tickets near the field be ready for a shower. I still give it 5 stars because over all the experience is always a fun one but there's always people who don't care for others. I have a 2 year old and would recommend only bringing children 7+.

Overall it was good. It was not as packed as when I attended a Mexico game. The security service, Monterrey Security, were jerks as they usually are.I didn't understand why they restricted us putting up a canopy but allowed some other party to use an umbrella ...? I recommend offering women ticket buyers a discount as there were very few at this game. 3 stars...:|

University of Phoenix Stadium is an outstanding facility to watch top level soccer matches. I have attended many soccer matches including last year's Copa America and I have enjoyed watching every match at this great facility. I had a great time watching two great quarter final soccer matches (Canada/Jamaica and Mexico/Honduras) and I look forward to attending many more top level soccer matches at the University of Phoenix Stadium. There is a reason why it's called "The Beautiful Game".

My 4 year old son loves soccer! I know very little about the sport but we drove 3.5 hours to go to the game from the Buffalo area. The atmosphere was great, the staff was helpful, the family restroom was a wonderful surprise during the break between games, and the fans around us all gave fives to my son and had fun with him! He loved the USA , and the I Believe That We Will Win chants! Plus the seats were great!!!! Would consider another road trip in the future!

I was able to purchase 4th row seats at a good price, I was well informed about the event prior due to the informative emails about parking and alternate routes due to heavy traffic, the only down side is that everything was wayyy overpriced once in th stadium and there wasn't enough vendors causing long lines and resulting in missing at least 20 mins of the game if I wanted to go buy a beer

Bradley was great, at last. The rest of the team in never, never land. US couldn't figure out how to handle 3 forwards? Mexico totally out classed US. Don't mind losing if it's a good game but sooo lopsided. Three good minutes in 1st half, none in second, the overtime minutes were the best. For all the time spent at the Rose Bowl and the money...what a waste.

The final at Soldier Field was a great experience. Chicago is a great soccer community and the city can draw fans from a good six states. It would be a shame if Chicago were again snubbed in the next US World Cup bid. The only thing that kept it from being a 5-star experience was that this was not a World Cup game or qualifier with the true A-team.

This was an amazing event. To be at a Gold Cup Final was amazing. I wish soda didn't cost $8. That's the big complaint is prices. Also Someone stole our sweatshirts while we took photos in front of the memorial :(

While the match play was a bit sloppy, the Gold Cup experience was fantastic. This was my first trip to Soldier Field. Getting into the stadium was easy; the seats were better than I expected. Almost the top of the south end stands (300's section), but they had great sightlines and felt closer than they were. Getting out at the end was a little rougher, but I guess you can't expect 57,000 fans to disperse instantly.

Best stadium I have been to in my life. Semi finals gold cup event was an event to remember. Food and parking a little pricey but not unexpected. Overall an awesome experience.

Not a bad seat in the house! The stadium was amazing and gave you chills! Not to mention you got to watch 2 high quality football matches for $45! Money well spent!

I had been planning to attend to the Goldcup 2013 football matches at Sunlife Stadium, but due to South Florida's unpredictable weather I bought the football ticket matches via ticketmaster until the day of game. My two nephews, a friend of them and I got 30 minutes late, due to traffic, for the first football match between Haiti and Trinidad and Tobago which was entertaining. However, the main attraction football match was the second game between Honduras Vs. El Salvador in which 28,740 fans passionately rooted for their own team. From the National anthems, football intensity level and the fans' passion made that stadium rock as if 70k fans were in the stadium instead.. Overall, I was fully pleased with my time, effort and money invested to attend and enjoy these football matches. I am already planning to watch the International Guiness Cup football matches at this same stadium on August 6 & 7, 2013.

I had never seen the mens National team play in person before this. It was fantastic. The venue was awesome. The fans were completely into it. I just wish the final was played here.

Loved every minute of it. Only bad part was the parking situation. My mom has arthritis and that was quite a hike. Getting out of there could've gone smoother as well, more cops at the intersection of the parking lot could've helped that. Event itself was kick ass, ran smoothly

I was semi-disappointed in the tailgating. The crowds were low in numbers, but it was a friendly atmosphere. Great stadium & the view was amazing no matter where you sat. Overall great experience!

My girlfriend and I have a tradition of going to the CONCACAF Gold Cup games. We are supporters of the USA and El Salvador!! The game we went to was El Salvador vs Honduras. Starting from the parking staff to the ushers and even the cleaning crew, I was very impressed by the level of professionalism by all the staff. I left sad that El Salvador lost but happy because we had such a good time!! One of my favorite cities so far!

This was a totally awesome trip. First time in Seattle and all was great. A beautiful 60 degrees and perfect weather for a game. I had front row seats and a great view of everything.

The atomsphere before and during the game was amazing. The seats were perfect up unti a little before sunset when the sun was directly in my eyes. Besides that, I had a blast.
