Wonderful experience. I wish it has been longer. I could have listened to him speak longer.

Joe Biden captivated the audience from his first word. The energy inside of the Peabody was electric and palpable. The two hours flew so fast that my wife and I were ready for 2 more! Biden 2020

Biden's experience and respect for all Americans makes him the perfect candidate for 2020. He is not about partisanship. He truly understands that we are not a red America or a blue America, we are the United States of America. He restores pride in what our country is about.

This was my second time attending a Joe Biden event. I really enjoyed it and how personable Mr. Biden is with the crowd. I do wish, however, that there had been a chance for an audience Q&A. There was a time for that at the other event I attended. Not a huge deal as the event was great overall.

Joe s message was a good one. The tour had definitely taken its toll and he seemed tired and almost hoarse. I m glad I went. I was hoping to feel more energized when I left.

I truly enjoyed VP Joe Biden s talk. He was open, easy, funny, and serious. BUT... Advertising indicated that both Stephen Colbert and Aaron Sorkin would be participating, and they were NOT there. BUT... It was so short \u2014 less than 1 hour...it left me wanting more...

Joe Biden is a wise and thoughtful public servant and an amazing Dad. It was such a privilege to hear his stories and his take on the world today.

Joe Biden is everything you hope for, charming, genuine and intelligent. He spoke for about an hour in a pseudo interview hosted by Cokie Roberts. What was a huge disappointment and frustration was the sound system at the Saenger theatre. The mics had feedback, they faded in and out, and made crackling noises as the two moved in their chairs. It sounded like the cheapest set up ever, and kind of disgraceful to provide something like that to our former VP. The Saenger needs to get it together!

V.P. Biden was wonderful. He is an amazing person and very passionate. Great speaker I was very inspired by him.

Joe Biden is an intelligent, accomplished politician, and I was expecting a more inspirational and thought-provoking presentation. Instead, it felt as though he was reading from a script, and avoiding topics that might cause a stir. His discussion about what he has learned about the state of cancer treatment in the United States, however, was informative and encouraging, and for that alone, I am happy I went.

VP Biden is an incredibly inspirational speaker. I can't believe how many stories, names, and faces he remembers from citizens who have come up to him during his career. VP Biden somehow fits personal stories and many life lessons into a one hour discussion. I met some wonderful people at the reception beforehand, and the entire event just brought some much needed positivity!

Great evening, crowd, and speakers. Joe is the BEST! Connected with the audience and his innate goodness is so clear! Thanks for arranging for the books to be so nicely distributed also!

A great evening and conversation. I highly recommend seeing this very accomplished and valued public servant. He is a great American, no doubt. I do have a complaint, however, and that is the service fees charged by Ticketmaster for this event, at 20+%, are outrageous.

My wife and I were moved and humbled by the message and sharing Joe Biden left us with from his visit. He spoke from the heart about values, strengths, and respect for yourself and others. These values and life lessons helped ease the way through the death and memories of his son. They are also powerful examples of how to treat all citizens in this country. The three words we walked away with to describe Joe Biden and the evening were, dignity, humility, and integrity.

Vice President Biden s presentation was extremely emotional. He made his audience feel close to him & his family. He gave hope & encouragement to everyone in attendance. He made us feel that we can have a bright future, if we persevere. Vice President Biden & Dr. Jill Biden brought an emotional experience to the audience that is rarely expressed at such an event. I ve admired Joe Biden for nearly 40 years, & my feelings were strengthened at this personal talk. Thank you Vice President Biden.

How does one put into words a remarkable night with a remarkable man, former Vice President Joe Biden?

I gave these tickets to my son and my husband for their December birthdays. They both enjoyed although the original notice had said 8PM which was good for both of them, it changed sometime later to 7PM which did pose a bit of a problem. That said, they both came home and said they wished Joe Biden had gone ahead and run for President. Said it was a very enjoyable evening. Their seats were in nosebleed section they were so high and it was a long way from the stage, but that was the only negative

Joe was awesome. The organization was incredibly lacking. From standing in line to being directed to our seats, it took an obscene amount of time, but everyone was very nice. However, the 2 hours it took to get there with my elderly grandmother and hearing things made me want to actually leave. The security and employees/volunteers were not coordinating with each other which resulted in us waiting. Patricia was absolutely amazing though. She helped us out with everything while still following every rule. She is a keeper. She even made a point to say bye to us on our way out. Basically, Security could use work, and Patricia is wonderful.

Anyone who is discouraged for any reason needs to hear Vice President speak! Truly amazing night!

This was such a great night! Wish he could have signed books. Also, wanted to mention the moderator Samantha was very well spoken and did a great job entertaining as well as keeping on track. We all enjoyed the night very much. I wish him the best in whatever the future holds for him and his family. As a cancer survivor myself, I could relate to a lot of his outlook on life!

Amazing and moving performance. The theatre was great too. They were just a bit unorganized.

Joe Biden is eloquent, dignified and charming. Wish he was still in Washington bringing some badly needed common sense and sanity to our government. A true patriot.

Vice President Joe Biden did not disappoint. He was genuine, personable and concerned about millennials not being engaged in politics. Being parents of millennials, I understand why they are not motivated surrounding politics. Party division, I'm sure is one of many reasons. I am hopeful, due to talk and action on gun control and school shooting, millennials are forced to become engaging in politics and realize they can make a difference by voting. Vice President Biden had a few jokes too which I like about him. Vice President Biden, you have my vote in 2020!

With wonderful intros by LIU Post President and former Congressman Steven Israel, Vice President Joe Biden s authoritative, yet genteel speech was worth a drive we made from Alexandria VA. Biden s strengths and weaknesses were both commented on, and why he was such a powerful legislator as well a dedicated friend to those around him. Alone and staring eye-to-eye at Soviet s President Putin at The Kremlin, Biden told Putin he didn t have a conscience. To which Putin responded: I m glad we understand each other. When discussing the political climate today, he said the closing of the legislative lunchroom was a big mistake because it removed the conversational possibilities between the members of opposite parties. The standing ovation for him was well deserved.

First some preliminary housekeeping: event staff were very professional and friendly, venue comfortable, meet and greet as expected. Joe Biden on TV was the same Joe Biden in person. When he speaks, he makes a connection with people as if he is speaking one on one. His reflections on his book, his son were personal and displayed the nature of this family man, despite all of his success, his family comes first. Excellent evening

....intentionally voted for him. I voted for Barack Obama, not him. An enlightening journey through grief and attaining the strength to live up to the promise to his son. I hope he's well enough to run in 2020.

Joe Biden is one of the few remaining honorable, decent people in politics. His book (and tour about it) provide tremendous insight into the core of this man and his family, world affairs, and the damage being done to our democracy and the world under the current administration.

It was interesting to listen to someone who'd lived history without them running for office or being political.

For anyone familiar with Joe Biden, you know he's a talker. The moderator is simply a formality, as it doesn't take much to get him started. However, having an interesting moderator can really add entertainment value to the event. So, with the likes of Stephen Colbert, Tom Brokaw, Maria Shriver, Cokie Roberts, etc. on this tour, I feel a bit let down that the moderator at my event was an author I'd never heard of. I was less than enthused by her style or her questions. Regardless, Joe never disappoints, as he's a riveting speaker and a naturally charismatic personality. Unfortunately, the audio at the Peabody Opera House was TERRIBLE. Both speakers were really hard to hear and sounded very distant. I thought surely the sound would be improved shortly after the event began, but alas, no. Was there even a sound engineer present??? What a disappointment! Also, we sat in the Mezzanine, and there was NO leg room. My knees were touching the seat in front of me. I love Vice President Biden so I'm definitely glad I went, but I can certainly say I will never return to this venue for any future events.

Joe Biden was everything I thought he would be and more ! He made everyone that met him feel special. There were times when he was talking about his family and his son Beau that you could have literally heard a pin drop in the Orpheum ! #Joe2020

I have admired Joe Biden for years, in both his politics and his devotion to family. This is an evening where he discussed his recent book which chronicles his time as Vice President and losing his oldest son. While Biden did discuss what the role of leaders should be (without mentioning any names), this is not a political rally. It is a father sharing his heartbreak, and he reveals what it was like, for himself, coming out of such a devastating experience. As for my reaction to the evening, with the current state of the Administration, I was reminded of the possibilities that our nation of good people has to offer. Biden s words reminded me that there is hope, no matter where I stand.

This was a great event. Like Joe Biden was sitting in your living room talking with you. My only complaint is that it only lasted one hour ... I would have wanted more.

For those of us who are unhappy with the current political situation, to see an articulate, compassionate and civil politician who is also a warm and funny human being was heart-lifting. It was too bad that there was so little publicity in advance, so that more people could take advantage of this opportunity: as Biden put it, to be "nostalgic for the future." The interview form was very successful, especially given that the interviewer was the director of the National Civil Rights Museum. She kept her questions to the minimum, and focused mainly on Biden's recent book, "Promise Me, Dad." I went right out and bought it for Father's Day. As to the venue, the Orpheum is always a treat, although our seats were really too far away to get a good view. The valet parking was a good idea, but there was a lot of chaos after the program, and it could be better managed.

Vice President Biden was amazing; but the sound system was horrible and simply inexcusable for such a venue and ticket price!

The most wonderful way to spend an evening out listening to a man who has transcended the hate, the politics and the attacks levied on him and chose to deliver a message of hope, love and family. I was very happy to hear this from a longtime idol of mine, who has bounced back from loss and grief each time stronger, clearer in purpose and given so much of himself to the nation. My wife a lifelong Republican that coming in knew nothing of this man was warmed and taken in by his kind and enlightening views on life. She said if he had run and if runs in the future she would seriously consider voting for him. The night was not political or even a preliminary thrust for candidacy it was Joe being Joe. Love this man and his legacy.

Joe Biden was so incredibly humble, genuine, and forthcoming. His words made me laugh, cry, and cry some more. We are so starved of this type of politician in today s political realm. He is honest and kind and he truly cares for the people he serves. He spoke about his family in depth and it was truly beautiful to learn about his personal life. I m grateful I could attend.

Joe was great. Lady interviewing not the best. Her mic not loud enough. He wanted to speak about his son and his book, she kept asking (as did the audience) about politics. Handled things very well. Great man and a nice evening. Peabody is good venue and easy to get to. Get seats on the main floor for better view and best comfort. Upper seats are on a steep incline. All floor seats good view. Soundboard crew was not paying attention on this night. In addition to the lady's mic not loud enough, at the end the music started playing when Joe was still talking (for several minutes). They never did turn it off and you could not hear him at all.

Biden is a wonderful man who has the ability to bring our country back together as the whole USA.

Very insightful, what an American, what a smart man. Was surprised it was not longer.

As a surprise Father's Day to gift to our dad, my brother and I bought tickets to hear former VP Joe Biden discuss his book. Needless to say, it was a memorable hour. Joe Biden, or as so many of us call him, Uncle Joe, was warm, gracious, humble, kind, and real. Through guided conversation, he's speaks genuinely about his pain of losing his son Beau; he noted that he's seen the opening video only twice. VP Biden gives you a glimpse into his personal world, one full of and driven by family. And this deep rooted and undying love of family has shaped his politics as we know them today. To me, he is the epitome of an American.

Wonderful, inspiring. What an impressive, intelligent and humble man. Event format was well done.

Joe was spectacular, just the calm antidote for these excitable times. He might not run for Pres. but it's great knowing he's thinking of the people.

Was expecting a lot more discussion about his time in office, some of the difficult situations presented (not including his personal life). Felt that there was no substance on his experience as a leader, and spent majority of the time talking about his struggles with his son, which was truly genuine

Exciting & touching evening with Vice-President...enjoyed!

The evening was a class act. Doug Blackmon was the perfect moderator, and the exchanges between Joe Biden and John Lewis were seamless, not as in rehearsed, but those of two old friends sharing memories and philosophies and experience. We were heartened to see the audience filled largely with people much younger than are we. They gave us hope. Hearing Biden and Lewis was a detoxifying experience in light of today's toxic environment.

Hearing Joe Biden pour out his heart to us, not just regarding the bitter loss of his son Beau, but his great hope and enthusiasm for our nation to return to caring sacrificially for one another was inspiring. He laid out his vision that the Trump era is but the last gasp of a dying breed, and that the newer generations will lead our country to reclaim our place to lead the nations of the world to kindness, civility, peace and prosperity.

Really interesting to hear Biden's thoughts on the current state of affairs as well as his personal story.
