Coheed and Cambria

Coheed and Cambria

While other progressive bands might release a concept album or two, Coheed and Cambria have had an entirely conceptual career. Frontman Claudio Sanchez's epic vision expands across the media landscape with comics, novels and music. Coheed and Cambria bring an earnestness born of screamo bands, like At The Drive-In, to the sweeping arrangements and lofty conceptualization of prog-rock. A ticket to a Coheed and Cambria concert opens the door to another world.

I loved this show so much. I drove 16 HOURS from Georgia to see them. I was surprised at how comfortable the venue was, they had the AC going and it actually felt great. When Coheed went on with Welcome Home being the first song, all hell broke loose and it was an extremely intense crowd on the floor. The setlist was amazing and this was probably one of the best coheed and cambria shows I have been too. I would go again in a heart beat... but I might take a plane next time haha.

The opening bands were a little shaky but Coheed blew my mind. Venue was great too, the only problem I had was a rowdy fan must have toss his beer cup because the people around me as well as myself got covered in beer.

Coheed was outstanding, as always! House of Blues in AC has a great personal setting, and I'd see anyone there, you'll never be 'closer' to the band...but the band's overall sound doesn't translate as well in the small venue as compared with an open-air setting. These guys are intricate, dynamic, etc. The last outdoor show I saw blew my mind and really set the bar. HOB was too darn loud to enjoy those moments as well in. Coheed = Five-stars as always Coheed in HOB Venue = 4

I will start with the only negative, which is that Cohhed didn't take the stage till 10:30 ish and the opening bands were sub-par. Once C&C took the stage, I can't recall a better live show ever. They played an excellent mix of popular and less known songs. It was a fabulous show!

While I didn't find the opening acts all too special, I thought Coheed rocked. Solid, tight sound...awesome musicianship. Would prefer an alternate ending, however. Something other than a drum solo perhaps. Overall, a good show!

Coheed is my favorite band, so clearly I had high hopes for seeing them for the first time, especially since they don't headline that often. My boyfriend bought me tickets for the show at the House of Blues in Atlantic City, NJ, which was an amazing venue - very small, and not really a bad seat in the house. That said, we did have actual seats, not just general admission, which I was glad for with all the crowd-surfing taking place downstairs. My only issue with the whole night really was that they had THREE bands before them. The crowd only expected two, so when the third band came out, no one was particularly happy to see them. That said, Coheed did play for quite a while, and come out for a long encore, so it was worth the wait.

This was the best pit experience I've ever had in my life. Intimate, fantastic view, people were mostly courteous, you didn't have to worry about getting kicked in the head by crowd surfers. I think the humidity messed with Coheed's sound board and they had to go on like 15 minutes late which made forced their set to get cut short which was sad. But I don't blame them or the sound techs at all. No matter how much you sound check, there's always room for error when performing live. And the energy and performance wasn't hindered in any way. #ChildoftheFence

The opening acts The Story So Far, and Taking Back Sunday were great, and played a lot of songs. They were entertaining, and interacted with the audience. The headliner Coheed and Cambria played seven or eight songs, they said nothing to the audience; not even thank you, and left. No acknowledgement, no encore. I've seen Coheed and Cambria at other venues, and they gave a much better show. They bantered with the audience, and came back to the stage for encores. This show was good, but it could've been better.

I have now seen Coheed & Cambria perform seven times. It feels as though their stage presence becomes more intense with each show I have attended. Their skills as musicians and their showmanship have also increased over the past decade I have seen them. I hope to see them for an eighth time soon. The venue was also incredibly awesome. The sounds emitted from the stage were mesmerizing.

Coheed & Cambria was awesome. It was so cool that they played so many old songs. Also, having Taking back Sunday as an opener was not a bad way to go. I would have preferred if they dropped "the story so far" and played longer sets... but it was still a memorable experience.

The opening bands awesome! Coheed and Cambria played a lot of great tunes, and did it with precision. However, the ticket price was a bit steep, and for the headlining band, they played for under an hour. The concert had a finish time of 11:30pm on the ticket, but was over by 10:18pm. The summary? Great build-up, Great music. Just far too little of it!

This was my 6th or 7th time seeing Coheed and Cambria live. They honestly keep getting better live. I've seen them as an opener in an arena and as a headliner in a 1000 seater...this was their best show to date. The energy and engagement from the crowd was nothing short of amazing. Even if you aren't a fan of their music, the live show is something to behold. It gives me hope that a band like this, who gets no radio play, can fill a few thousand seats and every person in the room is screaming the lyrics.

I am never disappointed when I go see Coheed. They always blow me away every time. I may have only seen them four times including this time, but all four times was spectacular. They know how to put on a good show. The crowd really gets into it and due to crow surfers, some of my videos were cut short but that was remedied by screaming along the lyrics with everyone else. I may have not known any of the opening bands but Silver Snakes, and I The Mighty have piqued my interest. I don't remember Glassjaw's set because I was too busy being moshed and annoyed. But even still, I would love to do it all again.

Coheed and Circa have been my two favorite bands for about nine or ten years, so when I heard they were going to be playing together again I instantly bought tickets. In no way was I ever disappointed during the show. My friends and I had a wonderful spot the whole time and the crowd was not even crazy where we were standing. During Coheed I was right up against the gate. Frequently the bassist would look down and sing with me and the people around me. Both bands played fantastically and it was a great privilege to see them play together again. Last time was in Chicago four years ago and the crowd was far too insane during Circa for it to be enjoyable. This is a night my friends and I will cherish forever.

Going to see Coheed was on my bucket list anyway since they're one of my favorite bands, and I feel lucky that one of my favorite bands also has a fantastic live experience. From the start of the show, the band is putting all of their energy into the music. The crowd is just getting started. What really puts a C&C concert over the top, though, is the ability of the audience to amplify the most energetic segments of songs, even some I wasn't expecting to be significant as live performances. There's just something heartening about hearing the audience sing overlapping backup vocals as Claudio sings the main part, and it comes naturally as a result of listening to their albums over and over again. You can't help but fill in those background bits to make the song sound "right," and in doing so, you become part of the group experience that makes Coheed shows really something special.

I entered the show early via the fan vip pass from the box set. The vip song was a song from Travis' sideproject, Davenport Cabinet. Claudio played the guitar solo, harmonica, and sang backup, and the rest of the guys backed up Travis as well. Great song. Coheed was awesome like normal, loved the stuff on the new album, but in my opinion, closing with Welcome Home was kinda lame. I mean, they are most known for that song but I've heard it every time I've seen them, and like other hardcore fans I talked to there, could do without it. The Dear Hunter was ok, but I wasn't really impressed. 3, on the other hand, left my jaw dropped and eyes wide. Amazing. It's been quite awhile since I've seen a group with such talented musicians.

Coheed and Cambria put on an unforgettable performance: their energy and attitudes were high and electric despite nearing the end of their tour. The acoustic set for VIP tickets was awesome, and the number of encores was a real treat. Opening act Thank You Scientist rocked as well: Ellis and Andrew were especially entertaining to watch. I will definitely be purchasing their albums. I have not stopped smiling since Saturday. Although I have been a huge fan since 2003, this was my first C&C show: I was amazed with the amount of passion and solidarity from the crowd. The guys are ridiculously talented and I will absolutely be attending their future concerts. ♡

Being super excited about the show before it even started, Claudio and the gang put on an amazing concert like always. Coheed and Cambria is a must see band for anyone, whether a fan or not. Their stage presence is great and off the stage, they are really great guys. If you haven't seen them already, then you should really give them a chance. Can't wait to see them again. Moving on the the venue; it was actually much larger on the inside than what (I saw anyways) from the outside. The organization of the groups was actually well maintained for the most part. I purchased the VIP platinum package, and will call took care of me very well; smooth and problem free. That was when myself and the other platinum holders were put into separate lines from the VIP gold and general ticket holders. It was actually well managed. The inside of the venue was big enough to hold everyone that went and more.Overall, a great experience here.

When I heard Coheed was playing at Pop's my first though was, "There isn't nearly enough room in that place for a Coheed concert." I figured it would be hot, cramped, and sweaty. It was nothing like I expected. There was plenty of room, and really nice ventilation. I have seen them at both the Pageant and the Canopy Club, and this was definitely my favorite venue to see them in. This concert was originally supposed to be in October, and after being postponed twice, the date was finally set on Dec 2. That kind of irked me, but I understand that Claudio was having some vocal problems and needed to take a rest. It was worth the wait. It was a really enjoyable concert. 3 and The Deer Hunter opened, and they were both great. 3 really amazed me, especially with the ridiculous Ovation playing by Joey Eppard. After seeing that craziness they really made a fan out of me. The Deer Hunter was good, but I wasn't as WOW'd as I was with 3. It could have also been because I was so anxiously awaiting Coheed. Then Coheed went on. The set list was alright. I would have liked a few more oddball songs in the lineup. It seemed more like a "Greatest Hits" concert than anything. I'm not complaining though. It was great. Then they started playing In Keeping Secrets. The break in the middle of the song turned into a crazy drum solo by Josh that seemed like it would never end, which was a very good thing. You would think it was about to be over, but it would just keep going. Somewhere in the middle of the solo there was a really sweet jam that went on. There is no way to explain in words just how amazing and hilarious all of this was. Then we got an encore of 2 songs, and it was over. Great concert. Great venue. Great time.

I've seen Coheed live 7 times, this show was the best of the 7. The setlist was fantastic, a great mix of old and new, light and heavy (Only album not represented was YOBR, not complaining about that). Of the 16 songs performed, (12 then a 4 song encore) I believe only 4 were from the new record which was released 2 days before the show. I love the new record but its too often these days that tours in support of new records are nothing but the new stuff. Coheed loves their fans and know exactly what they want to hear, and never disappoint. The overall feeling between songs was dark and brooding which was awesome. If they come back to the northeast after their European shows I'll undoubtedly see them as many times as possible.

If I could go back in time and repeat Sunday evening, I would in a heartbeat. Coheed has been my favorite band for over a decade and I've seen them live over a dozen times. This show was unbelievable! Seeing them perform IKKSE:3 was amazing. They put on such a great show. The performance, the sound, the lighting- everything was perfect. I have gone to so many shows over the past 15 years and none even come close to being as entertaining as a Coheed show. This album is so incredibly special to me because my husband lent it to me back when we were co-workers and we bonded while talking about the album. Sounds cheesy, but it's nice that such an incredible album has such sentimental value. My only complaint: I bought my tickets during the presale and got the "best available". I decided to look over a month later to see if it was sold out yet, and I saw that loge tickets were for sale, which was about 10 rows down from us. It was a bummer to rush to get great seats only to see better ones for sale later. We still had a great experience from our seats, but I sure wish we could have been just a tiny bit closer, especially since we got them during the pre-sale.

Starting with the lineup - two of my all-time favorite bands, Coheed & Cambria and The Dear Hunter, finally sharing the same stage on the same night. TDH put on a nice selection of songs from their expansive catalog, but the band members played each song with a lot of energy and passion. And Co&Ca... a really hard hitting setlist that kicked off with a punch, eased back a little, punched again, and had everyone down for the count by the end. The band was the most electric, enthusiastic, and technically sound as they've been in a long time. They put on a really fun show for the fans, and you could look on stage and see the guys having fun as well. One of the most important things that you could ask for in a show, in my opinion. As far as Three, I had only heard a little by them, but they also put on a great performance that made a fan out of me. The only negative of this show was a few troublemakers in the crowd, who ruined it for those around them. I had not experienced them personally, as the side that I was on was pretty respectful. But I was told that the other side wasn't as pleasant, as there were some that didn't honor the golden rule: it's ok to knock someone down, if you a) make sure they want to be knocked down, and b) help to pick them back up. That rule makes for some very enjoyable shows as long as you follow it. Thankfully a majority of the crowd was good, fun-loving fellow fans, which all in all makes the show as a whole an easy 5 stars. Check out the music if you've never heard of Coheed. And if you like the music, by all means see them live; Coheed has some of the best fans around, and it makes me proud to be one of them.

Sick show! This was their first time in The RGV so there isn't quite a fan base, but the lucky ones that are fans were there in force! Mega sing alongs and lots of camera phones in the air. This was my 5th time to see Coheed but this show was memorable because of the intimacy of it all. Nice venue for shows this size. Tobacco free and A/C was nice! I'd go back.

Amazing show. Claudio is an incredible artist and mega-talented. The band sounded just as good if not better than their recordings Also, Pharr Events Center is a very great venue. Small and intimate. Great view on every part of the floor.

Coheed and Cambria always put on a great show and this time it was no different. They're amazing skill and showmanship is astounding. Not one person was sitting everyone was on their feet moving. Best show ever. Can't wait to see them again. Coheed and Cambria for life!

This was an amazing concert, you can tell they were all very into what they do. There were some technical problems, the venue for example was not exactly attentive to the sound system and the bassist, Micheal, had his microphone off the entire time. They really played to their fans - old and new!

Best of the best. I have seen Coheed & Cambria 3times this is beyond what I expected. Loved the fact they preformed acoustic set blew me away. Love this band and plan on seeing them again. I am sure if it was the first timers were very please. How i know that is because I had two people in my group that are hugh fans and walked out with hugh smiles on their faces. They had were very pleased beyond what expected. Priceless and worth every dime spent.

Coheed and Cambria play for their fans. Every single song is exciting and different from any other song. The crowd attending was very pleasant and fun, all sang along :-) Coheed and Cambria sound better in concert than their CD's ~ which is Amazing!!! Language is the only negative for youngsters. They played many songs from their new CD "Year of the Black Rainbow," and they were Excellent! Every Coheed concert is my new 'Best Concert Ever!!!'

Great music from these guys(and I thought some gals as backup singers, but they weren't part of this performance(?)) ... but too loud for the music they play. I mean that while it's great to have LOUD music, it's NOT great to have JUST loud music - attn: Soundman! Coheed is a great sound when you can actually hear each instrument, not just a loud overall sound.

Both Bands were so amazing! Torche was kinda lame, but Coheed and Circa rocked it. Loved the general admission venue...got right up front. I will definitely be coming back. If you haven't seen either of these bands live I suggest you buy tickets RIGHT NOW

Wow... so last night I went to my first Coheed & Cambria concert at the Fillmore in Charlotte, NC... and it will definitely not be my last. For anyone that's on the fence about going I offer 2 words of advice: GO NOW I've been to some really good concerts, but this one blew them out of the water. They played for 2 hours, with the majority of their songs coming from earlier albums. Since I've been listening to them for a looong time, it was nice to hear their old stuff. The mosh pits were insane, but not in that everyone kill everyone kind of way. We were there to honor Coheed in their amazingness, and we made sure no one got hurt (the way a REAL mosh pit is supposed to be). Unforgettable night, I would go to every one of their concerts if I could afford it!

Awesome show in a recently-improved venue. I hadn't seen Northern Lights' new area and bar before, and I was impressed with it. Usually Northern Lights doesn't impress me that much, but they get some great acts, so I keep going. On the plus side, the bartenders, and security are always nice (at least to me): the security was great at keeping the crowd from getting too harsh, pulling people out of crowd surfing, and of course spraying water over the crow; the bartender who served me made my drink nice and strong. I wasn't really into the opening band, but they had a good crowd. Coheed and Cambria put on a great show, they were intense. Claudio sang like an angel, and the crowd responded with enthusiasm. There was singing, jumping, dancing, sweat and emotions ran high. The show was sold-out, so we were packed in, especially those of us who wanted to be near the stage, but the vibe was friendly. All-in-all, an awesome show!

I arrived to the Puyallup Fair with my girlfriend and friend, where we enjoyed the festivities before the concert. The concert started with Jaguar Love, a two-man band who played to mixed reviews of the crowd. Most of the fans came to see Coheed and Cambria, as expected, but were harsh to the opening act. I feel like Jaguar Love did a fine job opening up the event, creating energy and a party atmosphere, even when the crowd did not display the same affection. The reason I bought the tickets was to see Brand New, and they did not disappoint. I would reccommend them to anyone, anywhere. The lyricism of frontman Jesse Lacey is unmatched in my opinion, and they put on an incredible show, highlighted by new material from their upcoming album. As they exited the stage, Coheed fans were just excited for their headliner, which was expected. I think the crowd really only wanted one band and one band only. Those Brand New diehards gave the band a nice gesture as they left. I had never seen Coheed perform before, and I was satisfied by their performance. There is no denying that the lead singer for them is an amazing guitarist and performer. They played a couple songs I knew, and a couple of cover songs, including "Under the Milkyway Tonight", a song originally done by Church in the 80's. That was my favorite part of that perfomance. All in all, every artist was a pleasure to see. The crowd and I had one disagreement throughout the night, however: Brand New was my headliner, not Coheed and Cambria.

Upon seeing that Brand New would be playing at the Puyallup Fair, I bought tickets immediately. What I can't understand, however, is why Coheed was headlining. If you weren't there, you may find it humorous to know that about a third of the entire crowd left after the opening performance of Brand New. Brand New is extremely complex and talented, and has a surprising fan base. I would really like to see them hosted by more venues and preferably not with Coheed and Cambria, whom it is safe to say, is hardly comparable to Brand New.

Coheed and Cambria is one of my favorite bands, and they put on a wonderful show, all the way to the end. On the other hand, Brand New did not amaze me. The lead singer acted drunk and the quality of music was so-so. But it was well worth it for seeing Coheed.

My sister,(16), my significant other,(24), and I, (21) went to this show. My sister's favorite band has been Coheed for years, and i always thought they were amazingly talented. So i quickly bought some balcony tix, little did i know this was going to be the best show we have all seen. When we got there the people at the top of the stairs lead us down to our seats, to my surprise, they kept leading us further and further down to the second row! We deffinately had some of the most amazing seats in the house! Once they started playing the energy was intense-everyone was so in sync. The whole balcony moved as they played and we all swore it was going to break, but we could care less because this was all too good to be true. They sounded just as good as they do on their albums. The one thing i do have to say is- thanks to Coheed and Cambria, not only for the most awesome show of our lives- but for bringing my sister and I closer than we have ever been. After this show we really started to bond over the music and have plans for going to see them in Allentown, PA soon.

For a show that i didn't expect to have much fun at, it turned out to be a good time. Previous times that i had seen this band i was mildly disappointed but they seemed to have pulled their act together for a good performance. I really enjoy their albums and they have gotten better at spicing up their set with backdrops and a lot more energy in their playing. The system was quite loud, and had i not brought ear plugs it might have been less enjoyable.

This was my first time ever seeing Coheed and Cambria Live. I am so happy that I went. The show was absolutely amazing. You should defiantly have this band back again and again. I am now traveling all over, just to see Coheed again. What a kick ass show! I got to meet Claudio Sanchez, and was amazed at how well he treated me. I have the picture of us up on my myspace. I now have OCD- Obsessive Claudio Disorder. Coheed and Cambria ROCK!!!!

Fast entry, great sound system, ample room, multiple places to grab a beverage. Only downside is the only option for bathrooms are port-a-potties and they get dirty fast.

Coheed was amazing. Taking Back Sunday were great performers. However it felt like TBS set was longer than Coheed. Coheed should have been on longer and played more than just the go to hits. They have a lot of good songs that could have got the crowd going and I felt like the show was over a little soon. The portos were disgusting. The people throwing empty beer cans and cups in the air were dumb. The music was good though

I m a huge TBS fan, and the tour with Coheed was basically a dream come true. Great mix of new and old from both bands to keep the crowd engaged. This was my first show at Festival Pier, and I was pleasantly surprised. Other than the long wait to get through security into the venue, everything was great. The staff kept the portables clean and trash cleared, lines were never crazy, the food trucks and sand were a pleasant surprise. And it s a great view at night.
