The Kooks

Love them, what else can I add. Been listening to them for 4 years, finally got to see them, they performed all their hits that im aware of.

The concert had a festival feel to it with all 3 acts building on the excitement generated by the band before it to really fire up the capacity crowd! Sons put on a high energy & tight opening set that was very popular. Joy Wave took the crowd to an even higher level with a rambunctious set that had everybody's attention. Heck they even played a few extra songs! When the Kooks came out, the crowd stayed whipped up from their 1st song on. As expected the Kooks played a lot from the new "Listen" album with its dance tune rhythms, but mixed in their big hits original stuff to put on a show that just kept everyone immersed into the entire concert. Definitely the top Houston HoB concert this year & there have been some great ones already! BIG thx!

They know how to work the crowd. They had me dancing all night, as well as joy wave. It was a great concert that I'd go to again in a heartbeat

I enjoyed them live more than I did on record. They gave a great performance!

I honestly don't think I've been to a show quite as exciting as this one. It was quite hot and crowded, but once they walked out on stage, all cares were gone. I've been having post concert depression since.

The show was great. All 3 bands were amazing. Wish some of the customers were more respectful though.

Never disappointed when The Kooks come to town. and the Newport is without a doubt the best venue in Columbus

Great opening band and setlist. They played both old and new songs. The Kooks and the audience was super energetic and made for a great atmosphere. The venue was perfect swell, it was intimate and beautiful. The Kooks were super nice and came back for an encore and played a few more songs. When the show was over after a while they came tot he front of the venue and were super nice and talked and took pictures with people. Overall an amazing experience.

Generally good atmosphere and a cool introduction by the opening band (Clara-Nova). The Kooks kept it rocking and rolling with high energy. The stellar encore was a bonus.

The Kooks were just as amazing in person as they are in recording and I loved every song they sang. Terminal 5 was an intimate venue that had us within feet of the stage for just $30. I would definitely see them again! The opener was great too!

I have gained so much more respect for them after this concert. They were incredible! I can't wait to go see them again. I recommend for everyone to go see them!

Really fun band~ great show! Wish it was longer!! Standing room only, no seats is not ideal, but we made the best of it. Staff at Webster Hall were great, got everyone in quickly and efficiently.

Absolutely amazing!!! Definitely one of the best concerts I've ever seen, and would definitely see them again. I wanted the concert to last forever.

12 out of 10 stars. amazing. fantastic energy. will see them again i hope. BUT ONCE INSIDE THE VENUE, I HAVE HAD IT WITH PUSHY NEW YORKERS WHO DON'T HONOR PERSON SPACE DURING GENERAL ADMISSION CONCERTS.

The Kooks played well. I was able to dance and sing along and had a great time. I only know one album Inside In/Inside Out, but I felt like I knew half their set list (Which makes me happy). I would see them again.

IT was OK. nothing special. almost as if the venue were too big for them and a very young crowd.

I've seen The Kooks at this location before and it is never a disappointment. This band keeps the crowd going, not to mention the lead singer is so active and uses the entire stage for his performance. They are incredible live and I wouldn't miss a chance to see them again. Definitely a show any fan or new fan should see, it's always an amazing experience.

I was disappointed in their performance. they mumbled alot and I could barely make out the words plus they didnt play their most popular song which was unfortunate.

This was my second time seeing the Kooks and I am just in love. The performances were great. So much energy and you get what you pay for plus some! They came out after the show for an encore performance also. It was just magnificent!!!

The Kooks were amazing live! It was hands down my favorite show I've been to by far and I've been to dozens. Luke's voice is simply amazing and he had some funny but cute dance moves and had the crowd dancing the entire time. The vibes in that venue were great and it was overall an unforgettable night and I didn't want it to end. I hope they come back to Boston soon!!!

The Kooks absolutely rocked my world. They had a great stage presence, interacted with the crowd and sounded amazing. Can't wait till they come back!

This review may be slightly bias as I am Kooky for the Kooks, but here goes. The venue and acustics always fade into the background when the Kooks play. I have too much fun dancing and singing along to notice any difficulties the band is having. The four of them preform very well and don't let little glitches (there was a mic and guitar problem at Paradise) hold them back. I was lucky enough to be really close to the stage, reaching up whenever I could. Luke was great at engaging the crowd and he introduced the songs from the bands' new album 'Listen' that had yet to be released, so we could follow along easily. Attempts to get the crowd clapping never work -- but they tried :) Overall a great show. I brought my mom (yes my mom). She loved it -- is fairly hip though, and has all of their albums. I recommend. I recommend. I recommend. If you like indie alternative from the UK, this is for you!

Fantastic show at the Paramount. Kooks are really ready to break out here in the US. Great place to see a show. As an older fan it was great to be able to go up to my seats and enjoy the show and just as easy to hit the floor and get a closer look. Keep it up boys!

I went to see The Kooks about an hour and 1/2 from my house because they are my favorite band and I couldn't not see them when they were in my state! They were incredible live! Luke Pritchard was top notch -- sounded as good, if not better than recorded. I just wish they went on earlier -- I'm in high school and I had to leave by 11 and the band went on at 10 :(. Nevertheless, it was completely worth it! If they ever play again anywhere remotely close to me, I will be attending.

The main thing I remember thinking as I left this show was how tight everything sounded, including/especially the harmonies. There wasn't a lot of bantering between songs, so if you're a Kooks fan and are fine pretty much just hearing the songs, this will be a great show for you. I was kind of surprised and a little disappointed they didn't play "Shine On," but I enjoyed the rest of the set a lot. My only complaint would be that it was way too loud - not that I object to loud music, but I had to listen through covered ears to make out how accurate and good the harmonies were. A band that's this much on top of its game deserves to be heard and not blasted over the PA.

I'm a 17 year old male from New Jersey, and in my 17 years of life, I've been to my fair share of concerts and shows. The Kooks put on by far one of the best shows that I've ever seen. Luke was moving around so much, creating a ton of energy and excitement with the crowd. The entire band sounded beyond perfect, and it was an absolutely unforgettable night. If you EVER get the chance to see this AMAZING band live in concert, take it! I'm telling you, you will not regret it. THE KOOKS ROCK!!

The Kooks were fantastic! Great live performers that I would highly recommend. I think they're ready for a larger venue though, like maybe the House of Blues.

Absolutely the best concert I've ever been to. I heard that the Kooks were amazing live and I'm so happy I was able to experience my favorite band for myself. Luke's energy is wild, fun, and contagious. I was dancing the whole time and smiling from ear to ear. They all have such a great chemistry onstage and they sound incredible.

I had been looking forward to this concert for almost a year and it definitely filled my expectations. The Kooks are such great performers full of energy and passion, I love those guys! Hope to see them again sometime, and thank you for the beautiful venue!

I bought general floor tickets and made sure to get there as early as possible to get as close to front row as I could and I did!! It was unforgettable. The staff was great, everyone got in fairly quickly, and The Kooks were AMAZINGGGGGG!! 10/10 recommend. However, there was a long wait for the opener to come out and for the Kooks to come out after the opener.

Amazing Venue! Plenty of restrooms and Bars, sound was good as well! The Kooks nailed it.

The Kooks were so entertaining and sounded just like how they do on the radio I would def see them again and recommend. The sound at the Wiltern was excellent!

This was my frst time seeing the Kooks and it was a memorable one!! The venue was a smaller one so I was second row and felt like I can easily jump on stage and jam out with them. So, so great. The two opening bands Young Rising Sons and Joywave are definitely ones I'll be sure to check out. Overall, such a great cooncert.

Amazing show! They sounded great, not a bad view in the place and very easy to refill our drinks, was anyone else drinking but me? Would definitely see them again. Cheers! Woody

The Kooks themselves played well. I was disappointed that there were 2 opening acts, when my ticket indicated there would only be 1, followed by a VERY long wait- started to wonder if something was up. I was worried I'd miss The Kooks because the last time they played at HOB they started earlier than I expected (around 8:30). This time I arrived @ 8pm and The Kooks did not go on until almost 10pm. Would love to see The Kooks again but having to wait so long especially on a Sunday was frustration for me and many others.

All 3 bands were fantastic. We love when a concert has great music start to finish. The Kooks were all we expected and were very happy! I guess only thing that was weird was that Joywave played their song Destruction 3 times. It was kind of funny and they were having a very good time so it was all good.

Best $25.00 I've ever spent. I met Young Rising Sons for the third time & got to talk to them for about 15 minutes, got to meet Adam from Joywave & talk about 5 minutes, & then met Luke from The Kooks. I was in the front row & it was one of the best concerts I've ever attended.

The environment of the house of blues and the music and presence of the Kooks were really good. But I didn't see the information about the other two bands playing before the Kooks, because of that I didn't know one music of then, and was not able to enjoy them as much as I would like. And there was something wrong with the electric guitar that the kooks used, the sound was hurting my ears.

Amazing!!! Would go see again. Recommending to everyone!

I enjoyed The Kooks. The show was a bit uneven, but still danced and sang the night away. Joywave was a let down. They sang the same song three times. Young Rising Sons were great.

It was amazing . I've loved the kooks for about a year or so and it was so so so cool to see them live. It was also really nice to have two amazing bands before.

Amazing, they were great alive. Just a few people at the Paramount. The place is awesome. The only bad thing is how to get there if you don't have a car.

The venue, The Paramount, was excellent, as usual. Great service, great view/acoustics, bathrooms, service, quick access to (expensive) beer. I do mean expensive, 16oz was 12 bucks. The opener was a cover band with very mediocre musicians. The Kooks were great. First time seeing them and I don't really know their music but the they were great, I would give them a 4/5.

they were excellent, they played new songs, and a few songs from each older CD. extremely happy I finally got to see them. the openers were also really good.the sound engineer gave me the setlist after show, that was cool
