If you know who Patty and Babyface are get a ticket if you can! Patty is as good as she was 40 years ago if not better the venue in Detroit was spectacular. And Riverview was unbelievable been to concerts all over the world in this definitely was number one venue.

Patti is still fabulous at 73! Worth every penny! She s such a beautiful soul.

I love Patti! She was in rare form tonight as well and did not disappoint!

When you say Patti Labelle, you visualize glamour, volume, and peak performance. She was all of those things. As a longtime fan of Ms. Patti, I recognized that she may not have been feeling her best ( in spite of the 3 1/2 pumps that needed a few more walks around the Bowl to get broken in), she gave all that she had, 100%. In comparison to other performances that I have had the privilege of attending, Patti was great then and has only gotten better with each performance.

Even though Patti was physically cold her performance was totally HOT! Her voice is awesome - - so clear with amazing range. She did many of her songs, but you still wanted more. We could have listened to her for hours and hours.

The show was overall was ok the performance was to short. Patti LaBelle is great, awesomely dressed and just amazing wish the show was longer and she was more warm so we all could've enjoyed her more.........

Lackluster and not typical energetic Patti performance. She did not perform the majority of time and she seemed sad. She continually complained of being cold which should not have made a difference in her performance because she knew what weather to expect. Maybe cooler for California but Patti is from "for real" cold weather and Cali is not that. Her opening act and back-up singers performed better than she did. I am a long time Patti fan and will buy a ticket to see her in the future. Everyone can have a bad performance. I sent a prayer out to her in hopes she can overcome her current sadness. Patti, I love you and always will!!!!

Her witty banter with the audience ("don't get it twisted - I'm so cold") cracked us up and her vocals, you wouldn't think a day has gone by since her first live performance. We went with four girlfriends and had a BLAST!

LaBelle was in full voice. She seemingly hit and held notes with ease. However, like any aging performer, she picked her spots. Worst of all, she sang the first verse of many hit songs then went straight to the bridge or the closing. Her backup singers sang the choruses. Patti was fun and played the diva to the delight of fans, but singing half a song all night and then not having an encore made me wonder whether the ticket price was worth it.

This was a very poor event. Pattie was not herself. She seemed a bit depressed speaking of her age, divorce, diabetes, her feet and that it was cold. I just exspected a little more than that and I could hear the audience same sentiments. She was doing absolutely nothing. The band that came out before her had the audience roaring more than she did, she was not even close. I hope she gets it together because one could tell that something was wrong. But when one spend their money and expected some satisfaction it could be a little dissapointing when that is not attain. The venue was very nice, first time there. God bless and keep you Pattie but I think thats it for me, I will not be seeing you again.

Patti Labelle was very cold last night. She didn't let the crowd forget it either. Whoever was in charge of her wardrobe should be fired. She came out at the Hollywood Bowl in a dress and had a short haircut. It was in the low 60's and even all the lights couldn't keep her warm. A really nice outfit with pants and one of her big hats would have done the trick. I'm sure she would have put on a better, more lively show if she were comfortable. The woman can sing though! Except for forgetting the words to "Over The Rainbow" she sounded great.

I was really looking forward to seeing Ms. Labelle in lie concert having watched her many, many times over the years. It seemed like great timing where I could also celebrate my wife's birthday. Patti came onstage and immediately complained about the cold, got a shawl put on her and soon added pants and what looked like tennis shoes. Rather than kicking some energy into her song selection, she put on gloves and continued to complain about the cold. Perhaps she had a cold, but this was not the show woman I had grown to love and enjoy. She appeared to walk through the concert letting her backup group take more center stage and do more of the real singing. At moments she was there and then gone again.

Patti never connected to the audience, her warm up act received the only standing ovation of the night. Patti was not strong at all, forgot her words, seemed lost on stage. she still hits some great notes but not worth seeing again.

I've seen Patti previously and this was easily her weakest performance. Following her opening number she claimed that she was cold and over the course of the concert she put on additional layers of clothing. Her energy level was nowhere near her normal level (perhaps she was not feeling well) and she she did not consistently provide the vocal fireworks that are her signature. I would go to see her perform again because she is one of my favorites, but overall her performance tonight was disappointing. Mike Farris & the Roseland Rhythm Revue were a pleasant surprise and I will go out to purchase his album.

The concert was fun and her opening act was great but when it was time for Patti to come on stage, she came out looking as gorgeous as ever but she also was hunched over and shivering. She told us she was "freezing" and seemed to have a very difficult time getting into her music. She was a little reserved at first, just because she was so cold and it almost seemed like a joke at first. But then she needed her scarf, her gloves, some flat shoes and she put on some pants under her dress. That seemed to help some but she didn't really seem very comfortable until the very end of the concert. She belted out "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and was awesome but then it was over. The house lights came on, there were no encores, and we were instructed to leave. Patti started at 9:00 and the show was over at 10:15; that was disappointing. Don't get me wrong, I still love Patti but this show did not compare to the concert I saw at a church in South Central L.A. a few years ago.

pros: parking is good, the hollywood bowl is an awesome venue, patti has one of the best voices ever Cons: after concert to get out of parking lot was very disorganized, patti was only on stage for about an hr and she was talking and changing shoes and finding a jacket for at least 20 mins and sung i swear less then 10 songs.. not really worth the money

I am an avid fan of Ms Labelle but I was disappointed in her overall performance and the show last night. I do not know if it was the cold weather (god forbid she damage her voice) or the overly excerpted renditions of songs but the concert lacked Ms Labelle's usual enthusiasm and energy. I wish she would have sang more and did not give her backup singers and audience participation such a prominent role in the show. I believe that Ms Labelle is a rare artist (Diva) with exceptional talents and I would hope that "weather permitting" her next concert would be reminiscent of the "Patti" her loyal devoted fans know and love. Patti Labelle's voice is getting better with age. As most divas her age strain for notes in the higher ranges, Patti soars with ease. Her in-between patter makes you laugh because it's so unpretentious and there's a certain amount of fumbling and mumbling. Especially last night because she was so cold, bless her, here in our not-so-warm Southern California. Finally someone got her some gloves and slacks to wear under her dress so I could relax and not worry that she was going to keel over from her shivering.

I expected "the full Patti" (the shoe-kickin-off, emotional, singin-her-butt-off Patti we've come to know and love), and I didn't get it. I understand that it's hard to sing outdoors when it's cold, but I thought she would give us at least one or two real Patti Labelle moments. SIGH :^(

not the Patti I signed on for. I understand it was a bit colder last night than may be normal for L. A., but, we were all cold. Patti made so much of the cool weather, (i.e.) the wardrobe change and all. It took away from her performance. I have a few of Patti's dvd performances, they are great!!! (5 stars and more). I was even looking at one before the show began, and at least expected half of that performance, what a disappointment. I can respect that she may not have been feeling well, however, I would have preferred her to cancel than do the show as it was last night. I still love me some Patti Labelle, but would have rather spent the money we (my wife, her birthday gift) spent on her doing a theater show, in Vegas, indoors, instead.

Patti complained too much about the cold and in my opinion coasted through the show. The show lacked pizzaz, the songs too short, and the band was a very basic six piece unit plus three backup singers. This being my first Patti concert - I was unimpressed. I am not sure if my jaded review was somewhat colored by the fact that a few weeks ago I saw Aretha at the same venue with a 42 piece band and a show that blew me away. However, Patti looked excellent with impeccable makeup and hair.

i have been seeing patti labelle for over 10yrs and every show is amazing. however, last night at the hollywood bowl was extremely disappointing. she hardly sang and was just too cold on stage (shivering, running off stage in the middle of songs to add more layers of clothes), etc. etc. it was not the patti i have come to know and love. we all have bad nights and this was certainly one of them. i would see patti again, but NOT at the hollywood bowl as it was too cold for her.

Mike Farris was sensational. However, Patti LaBelle was not what it usually from, but it was enjoyable.

It was my first time seeing her live. What a blast! She's always had an amazing voice, but I never knew how witty she is.

This lady still has great pipes but it was something else to see her outfits, she walked out with her 4in high heels and couldn't walk then changed heels and still couldn't walk. She even tried to put on a pair of pants on stage.

Ms. Patti is still a phenomenal performer. I got goosebumps on top of my already existing goosebumps from the cold. Which brings me to my disappointment that I don't think Ms. Patti had her best performance. Her difference to the weather and temperature really affected her show. Her voice was a blaze but her dancing and action were a little frigid. I was surprised at the short performance. I couldn't believe there was no encore. I was expecting to sleep at the bowl with Patti singing me to sleep.

I went to this concert thinking I only knew 1 big hit that I used to sing even though I did not know the words Lady Marmalade but was SHOCKED at this performers many hits that duh I knew all of them just not that she was behind them all and as she said in jest "don't get it twisted" She was a delight on stage. And those high notes were a definate high for the audience. Great timing and wonderful backup singers. I loved that she went back and sang backup for her soul sista of 15 years who did this beautiful people song. :) A must see. I did however get distracted by all they backstage stuff. The bowl needs to tell the crew not to move about the sides of the bowl. It is distracting.

Patii gave a luke warm performance she complained about the weather, the shoes, and being cold didnt know the full name of the group before her, her voice was off key on a few numbers and all of us in the row felt like she did not want to be there

she should be at a setting in a night club, not at the Hollywood bowl. The music was find but she needed a more different setting

Was she sick or drunk? She didn't finish a song and forgot words. Her backup covered for ger. We paid to see Labelle not her backups. Ripoff.

The night was not all that I expected. I expected Ms Patti to be off the hook. It was not her usual show. I have seen her several times and was always blown away by her performance. Maybe the weather was just too cold for her. The show was good. I just expected more from her.

Listening to Patti Labelle Live was like listening to her on a CD. Her voice is still amazing, even after 54 years of singing. I would see her over and over again! Definitely try to get front row seats.. it s so worth it!!

All three artists were great! This was My first visit to Smart! This is a great venue for concerts!

Ms. Patti was relaxed and clearly enjoyed herself. There were a couple of times in the show where you could tell she was a little fatigued, but let's be real, she is 73! Her interaction with the audience was genuine and fun, and she allowed her band and back up singers to shine. Simply incredible!

The venue was perfect. Patti s performance was awesome. I saw her about 15 years ago. She performs with the same energy. I would most definitely recommend her show.

I purchased tickets on ticketmaster.com for my parents. They said the concert was amazing what they could see of it. I try and get end seats for my father because he is 6 '7. Never once during the purchasing process did it say "obstructed view" whenever Ms. Patti would go to the left of the stage my mother had to look at the column with the section number posted to it. Besides that my parents enjoyed the concert/venue of course what they could see. Be careful when purchasing tickets.

The Manhattan's were awesome! The selection of songs were great!The tunes brought us "baby boomers" back to our youth and the days of slow dancing with your honey! Patti Labelle was fantastic! She was in true form and she sounded and looked AMAZING!

The concert was amazing. This was my third time and it was breathtaking. Patti is so personal during her concerts. Looking forward to seeing her again. The Manhattans were great as well!

OH MY GOD I HAD THE PLEASURE OF SEEING THE ORIGINAL MISS THANG : MISS PATTI LA BELLE OFFICIALLY FOR THE 25TH TIME. SHE HASN'T LOST A BEAT AT AGE 73. I REMEMBER MY 1ST SHOW IN CHARLESTON, SC IN 1989.....SIMPLY AMAZING.... I HAD THE PLEASURE OF GETTING ON THE STAGE TO SING WITH HER AND IT WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY LIFE.

show started 15 minutes late and lasted only 1 hour and 15 minutes. Did not sing enough of her hits. I still enjoyed the concert.

Patti at 73 years young was on fire from top to bottom. With her usual exuberance and flair, she kept the audience on the edge of their Seats And she performed nearly all of her signature hits

Wonderful performance by a true legend. She still looks and sounds like an angel.

This was my fourth time seeing Patti concert and she is just as amazing as ever. From classic songs to her new jazz album, she hit every note and made it one of the best times I've seen her. A true legend.

I love Patti La Belle's music and of course her voice is beautiful. I've never been to one of her concerts but, I have to say she rocked it out. She got her audience involved and even had a few of them speak to her after the show. I hate using the word Amazing or Fantastic but their is really no other word to describe what an eventful and fabulous job she did. Side note: Ticketmaster loved the package deal. Sat in the third row, dinner and entertainment was awesome. Security was fun and not too uptight. Love love love

When you go to a Patti LaBelle concert, you are never disappointed. She is 73 years young and her vocals have not changed one bit. She mixed it up with a few of her hits, some gospel and a song from upcoming album. Ms Patti concert was an hour and half.

At 73 years young, while most artists are retiring, Patti is still putting on and amazing powerful energetic and fun show. She, her musical director John Stanley, her back up singers Debbie Brandon and Anthony as well as her band did an absolutely amazing job at wowing the audience with all of their talents either vocal or instrumental. The only problem that we encountered was very rude security and very inapt ushers at the venue Winstar world casino and resort. Unfortunately due to some incidents with security And the treatment of VIP guests including myself in those in my party I will not be returning to the venue unless Some policies are changed regarding security in the venue. This was not a concert or people rush the stage people respectful, have manners, and were there to enjoy the show and unfortunately the casino security was extremely rude to the point of drawing and imaginary line on the carpet that you couldn't pass or be threatened with ejection from the facility.

Mrs Patti was amazing. Great show and great seats equals awesome sauce!!!!

If you have a chance to see Miss Patti do it! She puts in a first class concert. I have not been to a classy concert like this since Luther Vandross in the 90s. She had a live band, interacted with her fans. She is so gracious and lovely at the same time. If I ever have the chance to see her again I will not hesitate

First time seeing Patty LaBelle live in person she was amazing stage lighting was amazing band back up singers all was a great experience Thackerville auditorium was a great place the crowd of young people was amazing we would recommend going to this event center for anyone the acoustics in the auditorium was great

By far this beautiful woman was/is amazing. I have never been to a concert greater than this. She is amazing, just a great amazing person.

Everyone should see her in person at least once! She always gives the audience her best! You will never leave her shows dissatisfied.

I really didn't understand why the opening act was Maxi Priest. That was awful. Patti really didn't sing. She didn't sing full songs. She just made sure she hit the high notes. Her background singers were the stars of the show.

This is the 12th time I have seen Patti LIVE over the past 25 years in five different states! Obviously I am a HUGE fan! She NEVER disappoints! Not only is she an amazing person with a heart of GOLD she is a true professional! When you leave Patti's concert you feel like you have just been hugged and surrounded with love! I hated the younger generation thought they were to "cool" to stand up and dance and hoot and hollar like us old school folks but we had a blast! It was the shortest concert I have ever seen her do but she is 72 years old so....what she did was give us her all for the amount of time she could keep it great! Thanks Patti! I LOVE you and can't wait to see you 12 more times!

Patti s performance lived up to my every expectation! The show started in a timely manner, the seating was a sell out, she sung all of her most popular tunes, she took her time and she was so very down to earth

So I don't know where to begin but here goes....I took my mom to AC to see her two favorite artists...Diana Ross/ Friday at the Borgata and Patti labelle/Saturday at the Tropicana. Just to point out there are absolutely no comparing the two. Anyway, this trip to AC I named "the do over" because I took my mom to Philly last summer to see Patti at an outdoors venue but was met with SEVERE thunderstorms. We weren't prepared with an umbrella, jacket or anything. We caught a cab there and had to hitch a ride back to our center city hotel. The last time I took my mom to see Diana was 2007 in New York with nose bleed seats. So you can understand why this trip was important and why I call it "the do over" with umbrellas, jackets, ballerina flats in hand we made sure we were prepared in AC. Orchestra seats for my mom so that she can absorb what Patti and backup singers delivered. This was my first time seeing her and one point I jumped out my chair as if praising and worshipping. She gave me chills. My mom sat in silence leaning forward in awe. We were six seats from the stage. This show was everything I expected AND Ms Patti wasn't feeling well. Her work ethic is amazing. No wardrobe change. She clocked in for work and worked until her shift was over. Shoes thrown off her feet, mic stand thrown, and she let us know about her menopause flashes. She is truly a down home woman. I admire her passion and energy she has at her age. I was so outdone by her performance. My mom left out speechless repeatedly shaking her head. Ms Patti thank you

I used a short trip to US to see Patti Labelle in Florence for the first time. Overall it was an exiting experience to see this legend live in concert. The voice has not lost a bit over the years and Patti was supported by an excellent band and background singers who had a chance to step into the light at various moments. The concert could have lasted a little longer and I did not understand why the audience let her go without an encore, so she just left with a "bye bye". Also inviting people of the audience to come on stage to share singing rarely works and spoiled a little bit "Lady Marmalade".

What an awesome show. Just as vibrant as when I saw her as a teenager. Now over 20 years, nothing has changed. Please go if she ever comes near your city! You won't regret it! #LOVEYOUPATTI

My wife & I really enjoyed the Patti Labelle concert. It was simply amazing & beautiful. I only wished her concert was a little longer; at least 2 hours with costume changes for the price we paid. Overall, I love her & please bring her back to Florence, SC or somewhere else closer!!!!!

I took my sister to the concert expecting an evening out to hear the amazing Patti Labelle. Her singing did not disappoint, however, it was one of the shortest concerts I have attended. Perhaps, if she intended to only do a mini concert, she should have charged a mini price or informed us before we purchased the tickets.

From her entrance on stage wrapped in a full length mink coat, to the bottom of her Louboutins clad feet, Patti LaBelle is the consummate artist. Patti knows how to engage her audience and that voice and range is simply amazing.

Patti Labelle draws you in from the moment she walks on stage and you can't take your eyes off her! Her performance was wonderful! Love, love, loved it! So happy to have had a chance to see such a legend perform!

First off let me say, I am not a Lyfe Jennings fan. But after the concert, I have learned to appreciate him. Will not turn the channel next time he comes on. Patti?!!?!?! OMG!!! She was blowing those high notes before she even stepped on the stage. OMG!!!! I loved it!!!!!!!!!!! The only problem to me was that she didnt sing the song I was waiting to hear. That song was RIght Kinda Lover and When You Talk About Love. I was dying to hear those. I would rather have heard those than songs by other artist. But all in all, I loved the evening. The house was packed.

Speechless,Tears and Chills!! Being 40+Sssh gives me more to look forward too! My first time witnessing a Beautiful Pioneer and Icon of Music! There should be a clause on the ticket, ****NO ENTRY 15 MINUTES AFTER SCHEDULED SHOWTIME ******* BE ONTIME PATRONS!! I paid my hard work money Back in October 2015! to enjoy a memorable concert, but it was interrupted by folks being LATE!! And the ushers had to find their seats, plus you have to move out the way so they can get to their seats. While Patti is performing! Thats very Rude to her ,the other opening acts and the on time patrons! Patti even started a little late so folks can be on Time and they're still late!

She puts on a amazing touching show everytime.. Love her, and her music. Hope she tour again, because I'll be there. Thank you Patti.

AMAZING: That night I had an experience like no other. Live and in person I saw Ms.Patti Labelle. This would my 3rd time seeing this women and I guess the old saying is right; the 3rd time really is a CHARM because last night touched my spirit like no other. She SLAYED, even more than she usually does! Patti s voice is something that the Lord can only give. I have never been one to post my business of Facebook, but let s just say that I have been going through the storm. During those almost 2 hours in which Ms. Labelle graced our presence, I had NO WORRIES! My mind was focused solely on how beautiful she sounded. Her voice raised my spirits and touched my soul. A show for the ages. She can still hit all the notes!

Patti LaBelle put on one of the best concerts I have ever attended at The Meadows on September 6th. It was a two hour performance, and for a 71-year-old she can still incredibly belt out those notes! Plus, she's remarkably personable, funny and obviously open to anyone and everybody. To know that her mother as well as her 3 (4?) sisters all died at the age of 44, as she told us during her performance, brings even more poignancy to her brilliant career and connections to the people. Go see her if you ever have the chance. I know I would certainly go see her again....and again.....and again!!

I am so grateful to have seen Patti LaBelle perform before she retires. And Chaka was fantastic.

Chaka and Patti have not lost a beat! The concert was well worth the price and they were just a great trip down memory lane. Patti was such a trooper with knowing her voice was going out she just reached down deep and let the lord take her through and give her fans what they came for!!! Loved the show.

I was glad to see Patti come so close to my hometown. I am a diehard fan of Patti and I have seen her several times before, but her performance at Wind Creek was a disappointment. She didn't sing all of the songs I was looking forward to hearing. She didn't kick off her shoes to the audience like she used to (maybe there is some liability involved). Maybe there is a reason for that. I never got in the mood like I used to in the past. I was glad to be able to take pictures of her. I have never been to her concert that allowed cameras. I wished I could have had the opportunity to take a picture with her. That would have made up for the song selections.

Feelings released through her own interpretation of song, have no beginning and no end. They linger on ,to be relived through her cd's and in all of our memories.
