Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo

Rodeo is a must see if visiting TX. It was an entertaining 2 hrs. A lot of people attended with their families.

We had a great time! The rodeo was amazing and the stock show is always awesome!

This event was so much fun. I ve been going to the Stock Show and Rodeo since I was a kid and it s fun every year. No two rodeos are ever alike but always exciting and two hours of good wholesome fun. Walking around afterwards looking at all the Stock and watching some some of the competitions is interesting as well. Going to the Stock Show and Rodeo is a day we ll spent.

Another night of second rate bull riders. Most if not all the good bull riders have migrated to the PBR. Bull riding is always good entertainment but need people who can ride the bulls once in a while.

It was great to see people doing what they enjoy. The riders were great!

This is what our country is all about and seeing it in action is something everyone should witness and respect. The Stock Show allows us to remember our ranching heritage like we should.

This event was billed as the Best of Mexico rodeo. I saw 4 bare back riders, maybe six bull riders. The rest was a 9 year old singing, a lady standing on horses, her husband singing on a dancing horse then her 6 yr old ridining on a dancing horse. We with along with about 30 other people in our section left. I will be calling the box office today to ask for a refund or tickets for another night. I took out of town guest to this show and I am embrassed!

My boyfriend and I went to this event. We go every year. Always love seeing how much fun the kids have. Shopping is relaxing, food is great, and it is such a much more enjoyable atmosphere than the state fair of TX. It is a great way to honor your TX pride and to remember how amazing the past was when everything was about the land. The Ranch Rodeo was fun too. With the cowboys coming from ranches and not having "in it to win it" personalities produced a laid-back feeling. The announcer was entertaining and the live band playing continuously was nice.

I'm a 7th generation Texan. The Best of the Ranch nights are the authentic working ranches come to town to show what they do everyday of the year. No prof's, no money makers, no fame seekers, just the real deal. The workmanship is excellent, the friendly and fun side of serious competion is right here. Lots of thrills, laughs, warm fuzzy feelings (the Mutton Huggin' is darlin), and plenty of gen-u-wine Texas is gathered up in one building. You just won't see this anywhere else. If you think you have a hard job, you've never been to this show! This is a MUST SEE for anyone looking for real cowboys. I'm mighty proud of everyone of them. GREAT live music during and afterward - Joe Ely - WOW. You'll get $10.00 worth of entertainment for every dollar spent. The best deal around. Oh, and if you want to see Texas bling, this is the place!

I would recommend this to others with a number of reservations.This is my first time to a rodeo at the stockyards. I have been to other smalltown rodeos and some really large International Finals Rodeos. You could use the American Cowgirl Chicks from Weatherford about halfway through to spark it up! It was a bit too long and slightly boring, although the MC did his best to keep us interested. The camera-work was a wonderful added attraction, very helpful if you happened to be in a bad seat. A bit too echoey with the loudspeakers to understand everything he said, though. There needs to be a way that people know they will be sitting behind a pole in rows 11 and 12. I loved the authenticity of the competition, that these were working cowboys and their families. It was very innately Texan. The information in the flyer in the program was helpful, and the program booklet itself was wonderful. How about the cowgirls? Would there be a way to include them? Even the mutton busting was all boys. We took our daughter-in-law from Miami, and she was very polite but found it a little difficult to sit for 2-1/2 hours, as I did. My ankles swelled, but we were too high up and too closed in to get out very easily. Those steep stairs are just a nightmare, especially if you are the least bit acrophobic!

We look forward to the Ranch Rodeo every year and we were not disapointed. This is an event that we make room for on the calander every year. Come out and enjoy the culture.

I would make this a yearly event with family friend

The 2018 Cowboys of Color Rodeo was simply Amazing! It s an Annual Event for me and a great way to celebrate the Life & Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Thanks to the many individuals behind the scenes that make this event so delightful!

I really liked the rodeo , its was all nice, the animals were very pretty, Loved the coliseum, it was clean, organized, all attendants were nice. This is a very good family event. I would definitely come back. I would like to spend the day exploring the whole exposition, and then going to the bar they have with live music.

As always, I am pleased with making the choice to see cowboys display their desires to make it 8 seconds. Fun Night! See you again next year!

This is the Granddaddy of them all! My wife (who is British) is a cowgirl at heart and has two fantastic horses that she rides like the wind but she had never seen an American Rodeo... until now! She (and I) had a wonderful time!

this was really a great time....the seats were acutally very good even though they were the last row.

I have been going every year since 1965 and this year I took the family as always and also this year I got to take my 2 new grand daughters. Couldn't have been better. With the Superbowl in town this will surely be a hard ticket to getthe rest of this week.

I went to the 2PM Thursday (2-4-10) Rodeo, the rain didn't stop me from the long drive to get there! I'm a novice photographer and hoped to try out some action shots! I do need the right lens for action, but still got some awesome shots! I went to the right place for it too! I couldn't wait! (Thank You Mr. Glenn P for the up close photography opportunity!) I have always loved the Ft. Worth Stk. Show and Rodeo and used to ride in the downtown parades as a kiddo and even adult! But the rodeo, our true Texas Heart...I was so excited during the whole event...I got some terrific shots and all the action was so amazing! I loved it, and then all the sudden...it was over! I sat in my seat for a moment wanting more, more, more...People were leaving...it was over! Oh No! So, I want to go back! It just wasn't long enough for me!

Every year my Husband and I attend the stock show and rodeo and we have always enjoyed all of it, From the beginning to the end. My Granddaughter shows in the Steer stock show so we are always there to cheer her on. And we hope one year her steer will be the next Grand Champion Steer .

Bottom Line: would I recommend? yes and no. We were there Feb 3, near the end so there were not as many animals, but the stock show was still great fun. my problem is the rodeo. I remember how things were in the 1970s. there were almost no commercials and the whole show was great entertainment with stars performing (Tanya Tucker-1974?), sheep dog herding sheep. parking Budweiser beer wagon, Larriot demonstration. This show had commercial after commercial, and then more. between events we saw and award given (OK, maybe) and a drawing for raffle of a car. The contests were great and the contestants outstanding, but overshadowed by what came in between. I'm afraid I would be going next year, at least to the rodeo.

This event was amazing. This was my first rodeo and I was pleasantly surprised. There are different rodeo acts throughout the show and this kept it fun and entertaining. I would recommend as a family, couples/date, or as a group event. Definitely a must see!

I was visiting from N.J. Nothing like this at home. Loved stock show and browsing all of the vendors booths. Rodeo was the bomb!! Daughter just moved to Midlothian a few months ago. Will be sure to time my visit next winter during the same time. Definitely want to go again! Thanks for a great event! I ll be back!!

Very family-friendly; an enjoyable event for my grandkids (and for me ; - )

This was my first trip to the rodeo and it was great. All of the events were well organized and continued one after another keeping me well entertained for the entire hour and half. I will definitely return next year.

It was a disappointment. Last few years they did a lot more things at the show. Not an expensive ticket but not worth my time. Won t be going next year.

For something "legendary", it was all right. Not bad but not spectacularly good. Will still go again anyway mostly because my wife loves it. Going to the rodeo makes her happy and putting my hand in her back pocket of her tight jeans makes me happy. :)

I have been attending the rodeo for over 60 years. Always enjoy the high quality of the stock and the performers. I miss the old days of star entertainers but glad we didn't have to watch the monkey ride the dog again. Lots to see and do before or after the performances.

Lots of excitement for all ages. Bull riding and barrel racing over the top.

What a fun event! We went early to look at the livestock and walk through the vendors and then the rodeo was constant entertainment, Coors light roadhouse music was fun for some two steppin'.This will be an annual event for us!

They kept it going none stop. Seamless show and very entertaining. First rodeo I have been to in several years and I would plan to go again.

Need more things to do outside of rodeo for families.

Overall, very entertaining, colorful and patriotic rodeo venue. Fast paced action. Video, sound system, and score tally screen made rodeo easy to follow.

PRCA gets more boring every year. They need to pay more so they can get better bull riders. Been coming since I was a little kid but don't be back.

Great fun for ALL ages. Wish we had arrived early enough to spend at least 3 hours st the exhibition in the adjacent halls

It was amazing as usual. We love the Rodeo and try to go every year! We did choose the worst parking lot, it ended up being the furthest away and had to walk quite a ways in the cold. Next year, we will try to figure out which one is closer.

I would recommend attending any PRCA Rodeo. Awesome Family Outing and Event.

The event started right on time, the arena was well groomed, the participants were skilled and committed, and the pace of events was fast. All around good entertainment!

The Stock Show rodeo was awesome. However, the seats we had were right behind a huge beam. I am not sure why you charge the same prices for these awful seats as the others!

Show was awesome, loved how they paired the music with what was happing at the time. Loved how they scanned the audience throughout the show.

My sweetie and I are from California and had never been to a rodeo before. We did not know what to expect. What we experienced was a VERY well run, tightly timed, delightful competition event! From start time to finish, we experienced two hours of WOW! And when there were things we did not understand about the competition, the announcer went out of his way to explain what had happened and why. We left with the resolve that we will attend the rodeo every year from now on. GREAT show and impressive competition!

We go every year on PINK night. Amazing night at the rodeo my grandson and family enjoy it every time.

The Ft Worth Rodeo is such a great family outing. Everyone from 1to 60 enjoyed the fun. From the opening ceremony to the bull riding everyone had a good time

This is a really fun event. Lots of great action, some planned and some not planned. The competition was strong, the events really engaging. A great time for families, singles and couples at a traditional rodeo event.

I love the rodeo but, the seat I bought you couldn't see the bucking chutes. The seating map does not show the extra seats built out in front of section 3. So we had to watch most of the rodeo looking at the big screen.

The old Fort Worth stock yards were fun to see along with cattle drives and rodeo. Anyone who hasn t been should go it s a great time

Having lived in Fort Worth, I started attending the Stock Show & Rodeo about 65 years ago. This year was especially fun as my wife and I brought guest from Kosovo and Albania whom had never seen a rodeo. They were blown away, thrilled with every moment as they sent pictures back to their families and bragged about the experience. I am amazed at the number of people now living in Texas that do not know what this event is. No true Texan should let their acquaintances go without experience this outstanding and unique cultural event.

The rodeo was awesome. We sat in row 11 and had a giant steel beam blocking our view of part of the arena - which for us happened to be the gates where the roping horses come out. The same would be true for most of 10, all of 11 and all of row 12.

Seats were perfect. Not really a bad seat anywhere but I would recommend these for a great view.

We took our 9 year old grandson and he had a blast. It was his first time at a rodeo. He saw that Cowboys come in all colors and sizes.

I have attended this rodeo for years and the changes being made are not for the better...there was no trick act or clown act during this years performance and left disappointed. For years Ft Worth has always put on a great production and was something to definitely bookmark on my calendar, now it is just a straight rodeo which there are hundreds I can go see in Texas and not have to pay $20 for a weeknight seat...last year they changed the way the national anthem had always been done to be politically correct and now they cut the entertainment part out of the rodeo...not sure if I will be back since whoever is on this committee is making these kind of changes.

We took friends from Iowa who had never been to the Fort Worth Stock Show Rodeo and we all had a good time. Looking around the arena on Sunday (2 pm performance) I was surprised at the number of empty seats which would have been better than the seats we had in Section 3 which had not been shown as available on TicketMaster

I haven't been to the rodeo in 30 years, and it was every bit as good as I remembered!

Absolutly loved everything about the Cowboys of color! It is nice seeing everyone from all races having a great time together!!!!! See you guys next year!!!

The bareback riding and bull riding were good, but the rest was very boring. And far to much advertising by the announcer. I don't recommend this event to anyone. A lot of it didn't apply to Mexico at all. It used to be a Mexican Rodeo, but no more. I won't attend any more.

Great seating. Great Show. Great Night. Rodeo was very entertaining.

I would recommend this even to visitors or to anyone looking for a fun way to spend the day. There are many family-friendly events; deliciously (mostly unhealthy) food for your splurge day; and lots of things to see and do. It's a staple of the Ft. Worth area, and everyone should go at least once in their lives!

The seats were great and it was an awesome show! Can't wait for 2016.

This event is all Stock Show and Rodeo. No concert frills like Houston. If you like ropin' and ridin' and bull riding this is the event for you!

We had a great time! Thank you Ft. Worth!!!! The rodeo was wonderful and the booths were full of goodies. Shopping was great, we found a lot of great deals.

The FWSSR was a lot of fun again this year! It seems like they cut out the entertainment though...there were no trick riders, no exhibitions like the guy riding his motorcycle, or the monkey that road around on the dog. I missed that. If there had been entertainment, I would have given it 5 stars!

I would recommend this event to anybody that is ready for an aventure.

But as a contestants mom! The roping calves sucked!!!

Ticketmaster came through. It was a great.. The rodeo wasn't a rodeo. It was an "event!" lt reminded me of a Stars or a Mavericks game.

FWSSR is one of my favorites to attend every year with the family. All day fun from lots of animals to view, contest, shops, food, to the highlight of the night the Rodeo. The Rodeo is about 2 hours long but its nonstop entertainment, my 3 year old loves it. Great event.

I haven't been to the rodeo in years so decided this year to take my daughter and two 13 year old grandsons to the event. I was so pleased to see that the "prancing horses" are no longer part of the rodeo. The "prancing horses" were always so boring. We all thoroughly enjoyed the continuing action of the rodeo. It was a fantastic time! Afterwards we toured the stock show, enjoying all the animals and exhibits, then headed to the Midway for great food, rides and games. A wonderful day.

Great as always. Kind of disappointed no specialty acts like in the past, trick Ropers, trick riders, or dozen flag girls on horseback.

The rodeo was great. My biggest take away was to avoid the front row. It is normally considered that a chance for front row seats is the best Not in this case. On the front row, your vision is constantly blocked by the hand rail bar. It always seem to be in just the wrong spot. However even more irritating is the fact that vendors are constantly walking in front of you selling their wares. When in front of you they block the view. Not to mention the people who are walking from their seats to restrooms or for food. Really everyone who walks in or out will block. So go for the fourth row up. You will get a much better experience

It was a beautiful day for a rodeo and i enjoyed myself as usual when i attend this rodeo show. I enjoyed the cowboys in action as well as the animals. The little kids riding the sheep were adorable! The free concert event at the Coors lounge after the rodeo was great, i really enjoyed the band called Memphis Soul, they are a damn good band; looking forward to seeing them again. It was an overall Great day for cowboys and a concert.....i suggest that you don't miss it next year, what a GREAT day to honor Martin Luther King!

Great family event! The Will Rogers Coliseum is the perfect place for rodeos like this. We will be going back next year!

Have been going for 14 years we like it better than the regular rodeo(although it's great to) because it's more like what we do everyday

It might be nice for people who are really interested in the stockyards, but as far as general entertainment it's not very exciting. Small and crowded place, not many food options, no concerts, definitely nothing to justify the price of the ticket!

Rodeo was entertaining, especially on the last night of the event. Bull riding, Bronc riding, Barrel Racing, etc...finals for all of the events. Definitely a fun event for the family and friends...although they should get Whiplash (the dog-riding monkey) back to perform at intermission.

The event was awesome. My 6 yr old grandson enjoyed the display of horsemanship, the bull riding and the calf chase. Every rodeo person was very hospitable and helpful. We will be back next year

I attended the rodeo on Feb.1 with my family. It was truly amazing! I've gone the past few years and it gets better every time. There is something for everyone. I am very in to the rodeo and the surrounding lifestyle, and so I enjoy everything. Even the less western members of my family found things they liked. I would highly recommend this rodeo to anyone!

It was the first time I saw a rodeo show and I will never forget it. It was amazing. Loved it and would recommend to everyone who want to see a real Rodeo show :)

The PRCA rodeo was really great. There was a great intermission performance that was western themed with a father taking his son through how things were in the old west. From the traditional rodeo events such as barrel racing and bull riding, to the non traditional such as wagon races, calf scramble, trick horse riding, etc this rodeo had it all!
