Heyyo, was very excited to see Smash Mouth at Pomeroy's Guitar and Wagons event here in Canada... and Smash Mouth bailed on the concert. Really disappointed and much respect lossed. Uncle Kracker, Sugar Ray and Collective Soul put on great sets though. Much respect gained for them. I was very surprised with how good all three of them hold up today.

Enjoyed the show. Had a front row seat, great view until a couple decided stand in front of me. Near speakers, so was LOUD, but a great show!

the room was smaller than i expected. I was a fan of fu shu meng so i liked that they played songs from there early albums. the down side was that the lead singer was kind of drowned out by the rest of the band. but you could tell that the keyboard player was really in to it and he really mad the show.

Uncle Kracker was onstage first. You could feel his heart in every word. He was absolutely wonderful and worth the price of admission for him alone. As it turned out, that was a very good thing. Smash Mouth sounded like good karoake. The voice was right but there was no connection. The lead guitar and the drum solos were brilliant, though! Obviously, the audience felt Smash Mouth was doing grwat, too. After the intermission and after Smash Mouth's second song, people started walking out. Most stayed. The place had been completely sold out. The second Smash Mouth ended their first song, people stood up for a mass exodus. The stage lights were still on, the house lights had come up but no one wanted to hear anything more from Smash Mouth. As people were leaving, they finally turned up the house lights. Apparently an encore had been planned. I wish Uncle Kracker were up last so that we left on a high note. I would go see him again and again and again!

Small venue, barely half full, which was unfortunate. Toad did not play at this show. Tonic , whom I wasn't familiar with prior to this concert, made the best of the situation, interacting with the audience and at one point unplugging and singing on the edge of the stage without mics. A lovely moment. Smash Mouth, on the other hand, was much too loud for the venue, and they seemed to just be going through the motions to get it over with. Not even an encore. They didn't address the audience at all except for the perfunctory "thank you" at the end of each song. The one blessedly brief interchange they had with each other was peppered with the f-bomb. I love their music because it's FUN, but they didn't seem to be having any.

Arrived late and missed Tonic. Toad was kind of a cross between Coldplay wannabe's and The Shins. Very nice music but rather non descript....We came to see Smash Mouth and they were awesome. Lots of fun. Played all the hits. Only issue was the lead singer's voice was weak. His tone fell off at the end of many phrases and there some notes he could no longer hit. Overall the show was a good one. Smash Mouth was good.

First let me say that the venue was as always amazing. A lovely setting and so well administrated... The line-up as advertised was somewhat misleading with Smash Mouth coming on last and Tonic first...this however is no big issue. Tonic was great, as was Toad - easily the best part of the night. Smash Mouth however was a big let down. For some reason the sound was terrible...muddy and distorted. At times you couldn't even understand what they were singing. This might have been a blessing in disguise as the performance was definitely lacking. Lyrics were stumbled through and missed and stage presence was...well...not present - as in absent. The absolute lack of any encore, or even a call for one, is a first in my many years of concert attendance.

Toad and Tonic were great, even though I didn't know much of their music. Smash Mouth however, the band I went to see, was a big let down. Their band was awesome and I was particularly impressed by the drummer, but frankly the lead singer sucked. He skipped an entire verse of one of their most popular songs (Walking on the Sun), and was dropping or stumbling over words throughout the performance. He later confused the bass player for the drummer while trying to introduce his band mates. Pretty sure he was drunk given that after one slip he explained to the crowd he "choked on my Jack and Coke." Their setlist was fairly short and there wasn't even a suggestion of an encore (though I think the crowd was pretty much done with them anyway). It put a real black mark on what was otherwise a decent show. Not a good way to end the evening.

Toad and Tonic stole the show. Smash Mouth was too loud, spent little overall time on stage but it's just as well as they were not worth sitting long for. Will never again attend one of their concerts nor would I recommend anyone else waste money on their show. Chateau Ste Michelle is a beautiful venue and great wine. Hopefully the upcoming concerts there will make up for the dismal Smash Mouth performance.

The venue for concerts was really nice.. If you love wine this is the venue for you.. Tonic opened the show and sounded seasoned and true as they always do... Toad the wet sprocket was also really good I am not a huge fan but I was won over by their performance and professionalism.. The headliner was Smash Mouth the band I went to see.. They were awesome and sounded as good as you would hear on the CD.. Great first show to kick off their national tour.. I couldn't have been happier with the show the venue and after concert meet and great with the guitarist from smash mouth who came out and talked with everyone signed autograph's and did photos... A+ show..

We were under the impression Toad the Wet Sprocket was the headliner for this concert and were very disappointed to find out Smash Mouth was actually the headliner. So disappointed as they are a cover band with very little original music, and what is original all sounds the same. Will not attend a show where Smash Mouth is performing again. Toad and Tonic were amazing!! Bring them back and we will be there!!

Reading the title of the concert, "Toad the Wet Sprocket, Smash Mouth, Tonic", I assumed the first in the title was the opening band and so on. I really went there to see Tonic, they were listed last, so I thought they were the head-liner. Shocking to hear them play first, and only for about 5 songs! The next bands played much longer, and I only knew one song from the "Toad" band. I think it was advertised wrong, you should clearly state who the head-liner is. At the very least give them all equal play time.

Super bummed Tonic only had a 30 minute set. They are by far and away the better band with the most hits. Toad sounded good, but they only have 2 hits that aren't even that good. And Smashmouth? Well, we didn't even stay to hear them. Can't stand Smashmouth. Venue is cool but not as good as Mcminimans in Troutsdale OR.

Went to see Tonic. This band is great and yet they only played a HALF HOUR. the should've at least been given a full hour. It was clear there were other tonic fans in the audience. They played well and were tight. They were also very god with their time and the fans. Toad was decent. But maybe a bit under rehearsed. It WAS the first night of the tour though. They were funny too. I'd go see Tonic and TWS on a double bill but would still be screaming for more Tonic. Smashmouth really didn't fit this bill. They've got some good hits (Cant Get Enough and Walking on the Sun) but to me, they were super sloppy. We left early unimpressed with them.

The first of the five bands were forgettable (I don't even remember who they were). Gin Blossoms were good and got the crowd pumped up. Although I was not familiar with any of their tunes, it was entertaining. The same can be said for Sugar Ray. Smash mouth ruined the evening. They were loud and sloppy. The vocals were terrible. They sounded OK when he shut up and the crowd was singing. They sounded like a roadhouse band at best. They ruined "you really got me" REALLY? They got through 1/4 of their signature "I'm a Believer" before it was recognizable. There was one ray of sunshine under the sun, it was Vertical Horizon. They were professional, and sounded great. Every song was a hit from their collection, except for the new single off their upcoming LP (which was also very nice).

My fiance and I went to this concert orchestrated by Mark McGrath/Sugar Ray for the second year in a row, and it was even better than last year! All of the bands were at their best, and the crowd was energetic but not overly crazy. To be honest we left as the headliners (Smash Mouth) were starting, because they were the least exciting to us compared to Gin Blossoms, Vertical Horizon, Sugar Ray, and Fastball. But they seemed to be putting on a good show as we were on our way out. The other bands were all incredible, playing a perfect mix of older and newer hits, and playing the crowd really well. Gin Blossoms and Sugar Ray were standouts, but the rest were wonderful too. I'm hoping they will do it again next year, and if they do I will absolutely be there!

My partner and I had an amazing time at this concert! Essentially, we got to see five of our favorite bands in one location and cross a lot of names off of our 'concert bucket list'. Gin Blossoms were definitely the highlight for us however every band was amazing! This was also my second time seeing Sugar Ray and Fastball play together and I have gotta say they sound as great now as they did 13 years ago. Not one hit song was missed during this concert - they covered all for the crowd favorite and introduced a few new ones that definitely made my "To iTunes List". If you're on the fence about going to this concert tour, here's your push to the other side- GO!

This was my first Thunder Valley concert and I was impressed! Fairly intimate setting, and the sound was great. I went in most excited to see Vertical Horizon and Gin Blossoms, but at the end of the night I was fired up about all of them. Fastball opened and my nostalgic journey began. They were great. Vertical Horizon (my faves!) followed and did not disappoint. The old tracks that we all loved and a glimpse into their new album. Perfection. Next were Gin Blossoms, on Robin Wilson's birthday no less. Excellent. Then Sugar Ray graced the stage and I was totally blown away. I had no idea they put on such a great show. Mark McGrath is amazing. Smash Mouth closed the show and rocked it. Halfway through their set, Steve Harwell shared a bit of moonshine with Robin Wilson in honor of his birthday. Awesome music, awesome concert.

The crowd started out a little quiet, but it didn't take long for the band to get everyone on their feet and dancing. The sound was fantastic, and the guys really seemed to be having fun up there. You forget how much you heard their songs on the radio until you hear a string of their hits and remember just how fun and danceable they are. Honestly one of the funnest shows I've ever been to, a party band on the level of the B-52s! If you get a chance, go see them!

Smash mouth are so cute, I love them and find them so cute. They're eyes were all so nice and their songs were so nice and melodic. I loved them and hated the opening acts cause they made less time for Smash Mouth. I cried for 4 hours when it was over.
Uncle Kracker did a wonderful job, the second band not so great!! We purchased great seats, so it was all worth it. Would most definitely return for another show.
Uncle Kracker killed it!!!!! It was amazing!!! He sang songs that were his, he sang some that weren't. He played to the crowd and had a good time. Smashmouth seemed dull compared to Uncle Kracker. He didn't seem like he was having fun or like he even wanted to be there.
Uncle Kracker put on a great show, was totally engaged with the crowd (He would even be part of selfies during his songs!) sounded great.. Smash Mouth was the total opposite, as was the apparent consensus, we left after the 5th song as did half of the arena, no vibe very bland show...
Fastball, Verticle Horizon, Gin Blossoms, and Sugar Ray were fantastic. Smash Mouth was a bit disappointing. Sugar Ray was by far the best act of the show. The lead singer of Smash Mouth sang out of tune and seemed really ate up on himself (rock star attitude without rock star talent). Overall though, it was a great show. Will definitely see them again if they come back.
The bands seemed to enjoy being on tour with each other, sharing the stage and having fun. The music was awesome, bringing back great 90s fun. Every band played some of their best hits and some played a few new ones. It was a 4 hr concert with small 15 min breaks between bands. The night became progressively more energetic. Sugar Ray songs: Every Morning, Fly, Someday, When It's Over, \u2026 Gin Blossoms Songs: Hey Jealousy, Follow You Down, Found Out About You, \u2026 Smash mouth Songs: All Star, I'm a Believer, Walkin on the Sun Vertical horizon offered a free download on their website from the new album "echos"
This show was fantastic! To see 5 bands perform their top hits was great. The time between sets was just enough to grab a refreshment and the next act began. Mark McGrath is such an entertainer. Robin Wilson pumped the crowd up and played tambourine with Fastball. Vertical Horizon was great. I would be hard pressed to say anything negative, but if pushed, I would say that I couldn't believe that Smash Mouth didn't play "Everyday Superhero".
Such a great show, would totally go to it all over again! They let everyone into the stands and everyone did it in a good manner. No crazies and no fights, but the crowd was crazy for the amazing bands playing!
Fastball, Vertical Horizon, GIn Blossoms, Sugar Ray, Smashmouth ALL in one evening??? YES and WOWWWWW!!! Each band played the best of the "good stuff", no unwanted filler here. I hope the sun never sets on the Under the Sun Tour!
This was an excellent show. Fastball did a great job as a starting band. Vertical Horizon rocked the hardest and played songs I had no idea where theirs. Gin Blossoms was a bit more mellow but still good. Sugar Ray was amazing and Mark McGrath knows how to work the crowd. Smash Mouth brought it home but Sugar Ray was definitely the best.
Sugar Ray has always been a favorite band of mine, and after this show, I'm a fan of all the bands who performed! Even though we bought lawn tickets, we were able to move up and watch the show from the second row! I hope they tour next year because if they do I will be there!
It was an amazing show. All the acts were great. Enjoyed hearing Vertical Horizons new single "Broken Over You" live. My seats were third row center so it really made me feel a part of the experience. The artists were very engaging with the fans and invited lawn seat people to fill in the empty reserved seats. So glad I went. Got to meet Sean from Smash Mouth and pose for a pic after :-)
Incredible concert. Smash Mouth kind of ran through their set, all fun music, but they ran through it rather quickly. Sugar Ray topped the night and should have been the closing act. I wasn't a Mark McGrath/Sugar Ray fan before this night, but after his performance I was impressed. Great night, hope to see again next year in Greensboro!

All the bands were really great. Sugar Ray put on a great show, Mark McGrath is a true entertainer. I love SmashMouth - the only disappointing thing was SmashMouth NOT singing the chorus' at all and puttting the microphone out to the audience. If I want to hear myself sing, I'll do it in the car. When I pay to hear a band, I want to hear the band. Gin Blossoms were fantastic. Overall it was a great show. We'd see it again.

Every band played so well from Fastball to Smash Mouth and had the crowd moving. Such great music allowed for such a great atmosphere. I would go again in a heartbeat.

This concert was great! The line up was a lot of fun. We really enjoyed being able to hear our favorite songs by each of the bands. The length of each set was well done. The Electric Factory was a good venue even though it was moved inside due to weather conditions. We would have preferred more seats since we can't stand for too long, but we still really enjoyed the show. It was full of energy and we would like to see it again if new bands are added/changed.

A bit loud, not fun-loud, but hard-to-tell-what-chord-they're-playing loud. Wish it was held outdoors, as originally planned. Also, interesting covers sprinkled in of Violent Femmes and other non-artist works. Relatively short sets by all the bands, though I suppose that was necessary. Other than that, a generally fun and nostalgic night of 90's hits.

Fastball and Vericle Horizon both played very forgettable sets. Gin Blossoms were good but they played a longer last year on the Summerland tour with Everclear. Sugar Ray was second last to play but should have been the closer as they were great. Crowd loved em and produced the most noise of the night for them!

It's always great to relive the days of your youth, whether through a movie marathon, a themed-party of that time period, or in this case, a concert.. and now, with the hopefully to-be -annual Under the Sun tour, I now have a tour to rediscover the music I enjoyed in my carefree youthful days of the late 90s/early 2000s.. This was one of the best concerts ever, not just because I grew up with these 5 bands, but because it was just great overall.. My only little dissapointment was that the show was moved indoors, as opposed to it being on the E Factory's Outdoor stage, due to a chance of t-storms, and sure enough, it didn't even rain.. But, I digress, here is my band-by-band review: FASTBALL: good, a short set but a good one, of course closed out with "The Way", the song that made them famous VERTICAL HORIZON: great, another short set but still a good one.. Glad to see them still active after all these years and looking forward to their new album in October GIN BLOSSOMS: Superb! One of the best live shows ever, and I got to meet their singer at their merch booth after their set, which was cool SUGAR RAY: great, very nostalgic hearing those classic songs again! And of course, Mark McGrath is still awesome, he has great live charisma and interacts with the crowd well SMASH MOUTH: good, but I was a bit dissapointed in that they didn't interact with the crowd much, when they seem like the type of band that would.. They were still good nonetheless Overall, a great, nostalgic show! Looking forward to the Under the Sun Tour next year if it continues, and chances are it will

Under the Sun was awesome, it was a great flashback of 1990's groups. Gin Blossoms really rocked the place, as well as Sugar Ray put on an awesome show. The speakers were not that clear for the show, and Smash Mouth was unimpressive.

Smashmouth sounded great but they were not very interactive with the audience. This is the second concert i have seen here, the first being Candlebox who was awesome. Being such a small venue you would think bands would be a bit more into the audience as Candlebox was.

Smash Mouth Tore It Up!!! We rocked. The audience was so boring no one got up and danced. My feet were moving the entire show! I had to get up and move to the back so I could dance around. What Fun!!! Thoroughly Enjoyed It!!! I love the Bears Den and would recommend it highly for any show you like. It's like having your own private concert. Not a bad seat in the house...

I have been a fan of Smashmouth now since 1997 but never had the chance to see them live. It is well worth it, they put on a high energy performance and they sound good live. They played a variety of songs, with some favorites (some bands get really uptight about that). The only two complaints are that esp. for such a short show, they had a couple of solos that could have been skipped or they could have added some more songs.

The performances were great from all bands! The hit songs from the 90's are still being played on the radio today, so it was cool to be able to sing along to almost ever song. Gin Blossoms and Mark McGrath from Sugar Ray really got the crowd into the show and it was great entertainment. It was also nice having set breaks every 30-45 minutes to walk around and talk to friends, go to bathroom, get food, etc. It was a great experience but not likely I would go to the same concert again. If they do the tour again next year, they will have to get together different 90's bands.

All in all, concert was great! All the bands sounded amazing! Was a blast from the past! The only downside were the lame people that didn't even stand to enjoy and get into it! I wish we would've gotten floor seats, We tried like hell to get our section to get up and move with us, but some people are just boring. Sucks for them! Mark McGrath got the crowd going! Started out a little slow, but by the end of the night I had no voice and hands hurt from clapping! Great job guys! The facility was beautiful. Only problem was getting our cocktails. The lines were sooooo long.
