Truly outstanding! One of the rare moments where you can see legendary hip hop artist from your past performance on stage at such a high level. It's refreshing to see your childhood artist look and perform so well. Just the wonderful feeling of nostalgia and unity.

The event was AMAZING, we were having such a great time, the location was stunning it was well run, on time, the only thing that we didn't like was that people starting lighting up joints during the show all around us, we saw at least 5 people right next to us light up right there in Radio City Music hall, not good… All the performers were outstanding and everything we expected, except for DMX, that was a comedy/freak show. You could barely understand what he was saying in between him tongue kissing woman in the audience and more…. It was such a shame that the production was so wonderfully put together and all that people were talking about after the show was how cracked out DMX was….

The show was excellent! Took me back to the days when I use to ride the 7 and the RR train to High School in Astoria Queens. These guys are truly lyrically inclined. When they rap it is actually a story that you take you back to the actual place and time. Not the garbage that is on the radio today. Highlights...Big Daddy Kane uniting with the old gang. DMX is greatly talented and although he is still fighting his demons, overall performance was good. I would have changed the arrangement of the show and brought Big Daddy Kane right before DMX.

For anyone who is 35 years or old and grew up listening to hip hop and rap, this event was fabulous. I surprised my husband for his bday and he loved it. Loved everyone especially Big Daddy Kane. Thought Slick Rick performance could have been a little slower to really appreciate it.

Friday night was unforgettable! For those hours it seems as if everyone there forgot about the outside world and took a trip back to the 80's! These brothers put it down! They even surprised us with the Symphony! I cannot wait until they come back next year! Thank you for this event! I hope it can be held once again at Radio City Music Hall. A great venue!

I arrived an hour late and lucky for me the show had just started. Jeezy Mic was turned off at the end of his set. Busts had to cram 26 yrs of hits onto 10 minutes. FAB couldn't even squeeze in Can't Leave you Alone or Superwoman..smh.50 cent performed choruses and may be one verse of his #1s only then left the stage after 10 minutes... 10 MINUTES is not enough for veterans. Start on time so we can enjoy a great line up.

Show was okay.. seats were great I seat in section 7 but each performer only had about 20 minutes to preform. They played mostly snippets of songs which was disappointing. Fabulous, lox, busta and freeway/beanie Siegel were awesome. 50 cent was okay

The venue was great, the people were great. I went to see the headliners Busta Rhymes and 50 Cent and their shows were short. 50 Cent didn't did two songs and the rest were 15 second snipets of his songs because it was midnight and the time was over. I paid to see the headliners perform and I got shorted. I think T-Pain was able to sing all of his hits and sing the full versions. Disappointed.

The sets were rushed. By the time they got to Busta and last 50 cent it was even shorter. 50 was the main event and he would do one verse and cut the music on each song. He left early off the stage. I love 50 but I wasnt happy with that event.

They didn't start on time, too much stalling at the beginning of the show. They shorten the time for the two main performers which was Busta Rhymes and 50 cent. They had to sing snip bits of their songs in a little amount of time and that was unfair. Those were the two main performers I wanted to see. Very disappointed.

I'm going to get to the point. My date and I arrived at around 7:15pm, we were sitting at our seats by 7:45pm - The show was suppose to start at 8:00pm....But didn't begin until almost 10:00pm! Within minutes of sitting down we could smell the faint smell of weed, and by the time the first act finally came onstage everyone around us smoked weed back to back as if they were at home chilling. The rappers were rushed so instead of hearing a full song all they did was rap a few bars then stop abruptly and run around the stage. By the time 50 Cent came onstage we had to leave because the people around us were so damn high and rowdy that I couldn't enjoy it, and it didn't help that 50 Cent wasn't singing a full song either! It was my first time at the Barclay and it will be my last, they have poor security and staff. As for the concert, I wasted my time and money. Next time I'll go to a concert with 1 artist, at least I know he/she will entertain their audience with complete songs, but I WON"T go to another concert at The Barclays EVER again!!!!

The lineup for the show was incredible. The fact that artists had only a 10 min set was horrible. Many artists complained about the time they wanted to spend with the fans. Barclays should not promote a show the night before another event. I feel the show was abruptly stopped to for the setup of the boxing event the following night.

My husband and I had a awesome time and truly enjoyed ourselves. We are old school hip hop heads and this concert surely covered this. The sound system for every performer was on point. Bad audio, voice was way loud and the tracks could be hardly listen to it. The VJ it looks he was using power point to project the visuals, cheap effects used to transition between video images. There was even a time all crash and you could see the apple desktop on screen (this kind of things don't happen in a 90$ ticket event).

I love old school rap but this show was very unorganized. They sound man couldn't get it together. There were long periods of time between groups where nothing happened.. Just dead silence. There was also alot of mix ups with what should be happening next. NORE was drunk out of his mind, he forgot the words to one of his songs and rambled on instead of singing. More power to you NORE but save it for after your set. MOP, Mobb Deep, House of Pain and Rakim killed it though!!! Method Man and Redman were good too! Overall I enjoyed myself but could have been so much better.

The concert was great, full of energy, real pure hip hop. It was 3 hours without intermission but the performers time was too short, except for Mobb Deep. It seems as if they performed forever, which was way too long. EPMD time was cut which was so disrespectful. Kane still warming it up with his lyrics and moves. Slick Rick great, Rakim moved the crowd. X closed and still has the energy and kept us on our feet. He also ran out of time. Overall great concert but when you have this many performers make it longer so they have more time.

WORDS CAN'T EXPRESS MY AMAZEMENT OF THESE ARTIST'S PERFORMANCES!! THEY WENT OVER & ABOVE MY EXPECTATIONS. I'VE SEEN BIG DADDY KANE IN RECENT YEARS AT THE LINCOLN PARK MUSIC FESTIVAL, WHERE HE DID FREE PERFORMANCES, BUT HE LOOKED OLD & GRAY, NOW HE PERFORMS AT NJPAC & LOOKS LIKE HE HARDLY AGED...DANCING & FLIPPING. I GUESS MONEY DOES TALK...LOL!! NEEDLESS TO SAY, THEY COULD'VE DONE WITHOUT MOBB DEEP!! SLICK RICK WAS PHENOMENAL, RAKIM GOT HIS PROPS & DMX RECEIVED THE MOST LOVE!! THE CONCERT WAS WORTH THE PRICE OF THE MOST EXPENSIVE TICKETS, WHICH WAS PURDHASED!!!

Although the ine-up was amazing, it was missing one thing. A representation of female artists from the time period, which were EQUALLY as important in early Hip Hop! Next time, you would attract an even more balanced crowd, if you included Roxanne Shante, MC Lyte and Queen Latifah! Also, DMX was my least favorite... he seemed to have had a few too many.

looks like folks share my thoughts. Def Jam concert was rushed, Ruff Ryders was rushed. Started an hr late and folks rushed off the stage. Fab got NO TIME!!! Beans and Freeway came to kill it. Wish they had chris and neef for no better love and rest of state property. lox gets too much SHINE. Mad shine for Bad Boy and Ruff Ryders and this show. Enough already! Big back FAB!!!!!! Busta was lackluster.....we left after 3 songs of 50. Jeezy did well and t pain was enjoyable. the promotors r killing me man. love the venue and folks that work there but come on!!! can we get a FULL quality show. I know u have to get of a venue by the certain time or u pay big fees but DANGGGG. left wanting more. no one will ever do a show like diddy and bad boy EVERRRR and these artists show they not up to it. It literally took each act forever to come out. Put it this way after 4th different time the Dj was dropping Biggie tracks to amp the crowd up, please stop responding. Then when Busta Rhymes was coming on Stage it took 20 minutes to get the previous act off the stage. Followed by another repetitive Dj Set. Poor Poor execution.

Masters of Ceremony Show started late. Some performers did well. 50 Cent, Jeezy, Busta Rhymes (through no fault of his own ) and others cut their sets short. 50 Cent did a series of 10 second songs + abruptly ended his set, so unprofessional. Last year's Masters of Ceremony was so much better! They need to time themselves during rehearsals and get rid of an opening act and long periods in-between sets with awkwardness. The Lox had the push-up/pull-up performers...please no more of that if there is no time for each artist to give thorough performances. The venue needs to monitor allowing people who may be inebriated keep on purchasing liquor. Some patrons that we were sitting near may have had some issues with "holding their liquor"!

The Barclay's is a great venue for a concert like Masters of Ceremony. The show itself was pretty good. I loved all of the hits from the artists. What I didn't like was the length of time each artist got to perform. They should have had more time. They could have kept Funk Master Flex on the radio because he didn't get the crowd hyped. He played the same songs the other dj's played during the breaks and before the show started. 50 cent was lackluster but whatever, I expected him to do something asshole worthy. Other than that, I enjoyed the show!

Overall, the concert was good. I LOVED the line up. I just don't think there was enough time for the artists to perform. There is NO WAY Busta Rhymes and 50 Cent should have been given 15 minutes to perform. They have way too many hits for that small amount of time. Maybe next time the promoter should have less artists on the roster to allow a longer performance time. I'll take quality over quantity any day. Especially when it comes to my money.

The 5 stars are for the venue because the ushers and security at Barclay's are superstars - keeping the crowds under control, diffusing conflicts, and escorting rowdy troublemakers out immediately. 2 stars for the event. Started an hour late. Ok fine, DJ was spinning some good tunes. Freeway and Beanie were great - really took me back to the 90's and they sounded good. T-Pain was the stand out to me. Not a fan of his music but he really put on a great show with no hype man and no entourage. Jeezy was also great but they did him dirty by cutting his mic and the lights when his time was up. Not cool. Lox, Fab, and Busta had maybe 15 minutes to perform and did a great set in that small period of time. The we got to 50 cent. For being a "headliner," he was super whack. Came out singing, dissing Migos, stopping every 5 minutes to stall and ask the crowd questions, with Uncle Murda as his hype man, who did one verse of that idiotic song about the Hillary Clinton that he has (that nobody in the crowd knew the words to). Did 1 verse of Many Men and the Power theme, sang a whole song that I didn't know, forgot the words to PIMP and admitted he did, then did the choruses to about 10 other songs. Just choruses, cause he probably forgot those words too. After about 15 minutes, he asked if his time was up, said goodnight, and abruptly left the stage. If I had paid more than $40 for these tickets, I would have been heated. Have to remind myself not to attend next year.

The show that we did see was awesome. Kid Capri killed it. Das Efx did their thing. Brand Nubian was on point as always. Shabba Ranks brought some Caribbean flava for us, Ma$e made me smile; it was good to see him on stage and Rakim and The Lox shut sh*t down. They did the damn thing. I was only disappointed because DMX did not perform. I've been waiting years to see him again and I was let down. The NYPD snatched him up before he could set the stage on fire, and that -pissed a lot of people off. I'm looking for a partial refund. Seriously!!!!

Myself & my hubby enjoyed the show. The highlight was seeing Mase come out and do his thing. He was awesome. I loved Rakim. I am a huge fan. He's the true definition of an MC. We were disappointed about DMX not showing up because we were looking forward to seeing him but as always his issues seem to catch up with him. Even though we were way up top we were still able to see all the performances with no problems. Only problem was all the weed smoking. We are not drug users so having to sit and inhale smoke was so annoying. Those who use so freely & not care of others who don't are idiots. I don't pay to go to a concert to have a great time to coming out high and smelling disgusting but then again that's the World we live in these days. A World filled with people who don't care at all for others. Overall the show was pleasing. I gave 3 stars because of the weed smoke filling the air though out the night.

I went primarily to see Pete Rock and DMZ. Pete Rock and CL Smooth did maybe 3 songs - they were off the stage after less than 15 minutes. And DMZ got arrested outside Radio City (!) and did not perform. So for me, this was not worth the money. Rakim was excellent and I really enjoyed Das EFX. But I would not have paid $125 a ticket just to see those two. Kid Capri as MC was pretty great.

Very dissappointed we were not able to see DMX. If he was arrested for not paying child support, maybe the just should've let him perform and garnish his earnings for the night.

It was ok but everyone should be refunded something due to DMX's arrest and the concert being cut short. I didn't pay 125.00*2 to see kid Capri scratch.

The only reason I gave the show four stars instead of five was because DMX got arrested outside of the show and did not perform. But everybody who did perform was fantastic. They gave everybody about twenty minutes so everyone basically did their greatest hits and kept it moving. Never got bored with an act. Even Das Efx kept it rocking for the full twenty. Certain groups like the LOX and Brand Nubian, I would have preferred to see for longer, but it didn't take away from the show. I'd definitely go if they did another one.

Overall it was a great show. All of the performances were spot on. Hubby and I was really enjoying it until it was announced about DMX getting arrested. That's when I got pissed. Like I said all of the acts were great, but I really came to see Rakim and DMX.

Great intentions... Someone definitely should have made sure that DMX could enter the state without being arrested. A partial refund is definitely in order. The LOX and Rakim did their thing... I would have been better off paying to see them individually.

I truly enjoyed the show, so many great hip-hop acts. Shabba was my absolute favorite of the night. The reason I said the end was disappointing was because DMX got arrested before the show and could not perform, that's not the concert promoters fault, but he was the closer; so it would've topped the night off perfectly. Overall great show though.

It was another concert night for me and the hubby away from the three kids. All performers were great. Kid Capri was better in Newark, NJ. I came to see DMX so this night was a complete waste of time, money, energy and sleep. The police should have let him perform then take him. He has child support payments which he will have forever. It was stupid for them to not let him perform this is how he pays the child support!!!!!

Thought more NYC performers would show up. Dmx was locked up outside the venue is a lie, therefore they should have had another performer in his place. No guest appearances.

This concert was so dope! Every old school, hip hop head like me should have went to this event! They don't make hip hop music like this anymore.

Original rap is here to stay! Hip-hop needs more concerts like this in larger venues, more than once a year!!! I love Mobb Deep but I think some of their time could have been given to Rakim. Note to young heads (20s, early 30s), if you're not truly into "old school" hip-hop, stay home and stop disrespecting true lyricists by sitting and playing on your phone during the whole show. During a concert is not the time to search the artists who are performing. All you did was take seats away from real hip-hop fans who would have appreciated seeing a great show!

I loved every minute of it...I would so do it again this has to be one of the best concerts I have been to this year. Big Daddy Kane was my favorite and of course The R. The crowd was hype and I didn't have to worry about nonsense going on since we were all adults and just went out to party and have a good time. NJPac was nice and clean and well organized. GREAT SHOW!!!!!

This show was AMAZING from beginning to finish! We were well entertained. This was worth every penny! !!! Seeing these legends in this respectable highlight reminds everyone where it all came from and real hip hop authenticity. That was REAL HIP HOP! Eric Sermon gave a good speech about it. Every artist had a great stage presence and it was an honor for my husband and to have seen them performed. Thank you for a great event and I hope there will be another with more legends ( men and women) next year. You can count us in!
