KBLX Stone Soul Concert

I love this venue! It s my favorite and my hubby s too

I enjoyed all the acts but my favorites were Angela Winbush, Zapp, Johnny Gill (with the exception of the bass player who was extremely loud over all the instruments and Johnny) and Keith Sweat! I would definitely go again! You can bring all of these acts back!

It is always a good vibe when Ol' Skool is in the house...Babyface was worth the wait...jamming to his music since he started out...forever a fan!

It was cold this year, but entertaining and a great crowd

We had a spectacular 2-day event! All the artists were great ! I never stopped dancing...

Had a Blast at the show as usual KBLX never disappoints!!

I really enjoyed myself but the parking on the second day was horrific!!!

I went both days and I have to say day 2 knocked day 1 out of the box. But the intermission between acts was ridiculously way too long

This was one of the WORST concerts I've ever been to at the Pavilion. Stokley was great and thank GOD for Babyface who was awesome. Everyone else was soooo lackluster. Will NOT come back to see them again

I was not and have never been disappointed at this show, ever. Keith Sweat was my favorite but everyone was good!

My friend and I had a great time !! I enjoyed all the musical acts that were featured, however we missed Rob Base as we were a little late coming from out of town to the show. I liked how they had an MC and DJ playing music and interacting with the crowd during the intermissions which made the day feel like a non-stop party ! I don't have a favorite since I enjoy the music of the group and individuals that were featured for the day. I will say that Angela Winbush looked and sounded fabulous; she hit all those high notes ! Johnny Gill was all energy and I was glad that he sang a few NE classics in addition to his own. Keith Sweat had everyone on their feet and I wished he would have been on stage longer singing some more of his hits. It was my first time seeing Frankie Beverly and Maze and they were AMAZING !! Their songs brought back memories of my childhood as their music was always playing at family summer gatherings. I almost starting tearing up when Mr. Beverly sang Happy Feelings, but I held it together and was singing right along with him .. LOL.. Overall it was an awesome show and I am so glad that I was able to attend it with fellow music lovers .

I attend Stonesoul every year, I didn't like how they were holding the good tixs making you choose to go for 2days in order to get good seats. What I really didn't like this year was the umbrellas they block your view that was a dumb idea.

I had a GREAT time at the Stone Soul 2018!!! Most of the artists were great!!! I especially always LOVE Maze fea. Frankie Beverly, they are still doing it after all of these years!!! I have been with them from the beginning in the 70's and have only missed a few of their performances throughout the Bay Area. It's always fulfilling to go & see some of my all time favorite Old School artists and the Stone Soul Picnic never disappoints!!! I have been going since the beginning!!!

Maze, Keith Sweat, Johnny Gill, Angela Winbush and ZAPP were all great

Event was over sold, lawn seating was so packed no were to sit more like standing room only and more people were streaming in. Parking lot was completely full 1 hour after doors opened. Terrible will not go again

Maze was not like it was years ago- I was saddened. Frankie seemed to struggle. Zapp was excellent!! Volume was too loud for Johnny Gill and Keith Sweat. They were good but the energy level was somewhat flat. Rick & Russ show was excellent - worth 5 stars!! Floor seats were tight and no room to maneuver to eat your food or drink. I d go again but for a different, more energizing lineup.

I was a little disappointed in Sunday show no one really stood out for me everybody was just okay. I don't appreciate that I pay top dollar for my tickets and people that paid a lesser amount for their tickets were allowed to come down and stand in front of you while you're trying to watch the show I feel they should hire true security not volunteers, I felt Saturday was a much better show than Sunday Babyface was outstanding and so was Stokley

it has been my lifelong dream to see Maze featuring Frankie Beverly and they did not disapoint,the whole show was great,as well as the atmosphere.i really had a great time,and will recommend this show to my friends and i will be attending this event next year

Hot, crowded. Half of acts actually sounded good. DJ played too many sets. Could have wrapped up whole concert in 4 hours, not 8.

I enjoyed the 2nd day much more than the 1st. They played their 2 sponsors way to much with the same commercial. I've gone several years and never saw that before. I would suggest next year to ask audience which artist we like. The 1st day all could have stayed home except baby face and joe. I appreciated no birds sighting under the covering.

I ve been attending these concerts for many years and for the first time weren t able to park at the venue because lots were full. So the day started bad as we had to leave this huge line of cars and start looking a the streets around the venue and ended up parking blocks away. The first oact I got to see because of the huge delay about parking was Zap. They were really good, as a matter of fact they were the only good act. Angela Winbush was terrible. Johnny Gill was ok. Keith Sweat was ok. Th e biggest disappointment was Frankie Beverly and Maze... I LOVE their music but just not their live act. KBLX used to have a better lineup so this for me was my last one.

I was there Saturday and Sunday!! (BabyFace was the headliner on Saturday) When I thought the show couldn t get any better after the performance of Joe & Musiz Soulchild, BabyFace burned the stage down! His performance was the best of the two days combined. The entire two days were full of fun and great entertainment. If you re in need of a great time, do your best to spend time at the Stone Soul Concert s annual event. Memories of a lifetime and good ole fashion fun! Can t wait until next year. The weather was gorgeous for those of us in seats below. I understand it was a bit hot on the grass , but very pleasant on Saturday and a bit warmer on Sunday. Water was highly recommended to stay hydrated. Each artist brought their own flavor to the show. #KBLX kept up the entertainment between each act, so there was never a dull moment! I can t wait to see who will be there (besides me) next year! It was truly worth the price of admission!

The concert line up for that was Rob Base, Sapp, Angela Winbush, Johnny Gill, Keith Sweat and Maze featuring Frankie Beverley. The only artist that disappointed me was Johnny Gill. He kept screaming and did not sing enough of his "hit" songs. Keith Sweat did the damn thing and so did Maze! I just wish the concert was in the evening time instead of the day time. It was hot outside! I plan on going again next year!

I had the best time at this years Stone Soul concert... My seats were amazing, the people were great!! I took my daughter we had an amazing time. I will be back next year.

This is a long event, so be prepared. We intentionally did not arrive at the 12pm start time, because we knew we wouldn t last the whole time. We missed the first act, but Ro James and Stokely were pretty good. I wish that the display monitors worked better in the daylight or were even used so that you could see better at the rear of the pavilion. I was a little underwhelmed with Musiq only because he kept turning the mic to the audience to sing and I paid to hear him sing. I also think his style is better suited for smaller more intimate setting. Joe had a great set. He played all of the radio hits. Baby face was phenomenal. Sounds exactly the same after all these years. I had forgotten how much I loved his music. I would check out the show next year. Tip- bring a cooler with snacks. Everything is pretty pricey, as expected.

Babyface gave an amazing performance, 60 years old and performed like he was 30. Joe & Stokely were amazing too. The other 3 not so much, I was very disappointed in Leela James and completely mortified by Musiqu Would hold performance, he forgotten words to his own songs & was singing to be track! As for Ro James I was not impressed.
