Cirque Musica

The acts were run of the mill. I've seen better st kids' birthday parties. There was ZERO staging and blah costumes. I was hoping for at least a little glitz for a holiday show. The only half decent act was the last one of 2 guys on a revolving wheel contraption but even that act I've seen done better

This was the best performance I've ever seen! It was so much fun, artistic, and absolute fabulous acts! The orchestra added so much holiday music flavor!

We are huge Cirque du Soleil fans! And this show did not disappoint. Although it didn t have as many high-flying acrobatic acts, each act was great in its own way. The holiday music (played by the local city s orchestra) was fantastic and a wonderful background. During Silent Night, the violinist was dramatically lifted into the air and played while floating! And the last act with the wheels\u2014heart-stopping! The only complaint was that we were in the last two rows of the floor, and it was hard to see because the rows were not raised and the stage was a bit too low. But the kids sat on their knees and we leaned a bit. I would love to go again!

The music of the philharmonic was great. For a cast of only 16 people, there were many different acts. The acts were great and not too long. The comedian was the best.

Very good show for Cirque training - couldn't do any better for the price. Many many good parts and my son and I smiles throughout.

It was nice, i saw a lot of these shows this one was a little generic for the price, and the announcer you really couldn't hear him talk that was frustrating.

Cirque Musica was a wonderful time! It is very unique and different from all the other Cirque shows I have seen. The live music really complements the performers acts and adds an additional wow factor to an already exciting show. They choose a local Orchestra to play at our show which I thought was awesome because it supported the local arts and music of our community. This is a show that I would definitely go see again!

We thought that it was a great show but look at it as a work in progress looking for improvements. The lighting could have better. At times the lights were too bright making it hard to see the performers. It was annoying to see the vendors go up & down the isles during the show. We would have liked to see the orchestra perform a separate number without the performers. The description on the internet should have given more information on the performers. We loved all of the acts.

Performance was very entertaining and marvelous. Orchestra was very tantalizing. Overall the show was excellent!!!!

Other shows have music as an accompanyment to the performances, but having a symphony on stage really does add to the effect. The acts are all good, well practiced and performed. I have to say maybe there was nothing truly death-defying, but to be sure a lot of pulse-pounding moments.

In the first 5 minutes, the host of the show clearly set the premise, which is that Cirque shows usually have some connection to a musical theme, Beatles, Michael Jackson, etc, this I know and also knew that they (the performers) would be accompanied by the local Philharmonic - so I did not know what to expect with that mix - well the performers had teh theme - Circus type stunts and the and the orchestra was well, eclectic, its usually the other way around and together, they were wonderful. If you know Cirque, you know that is about the best you could ever describe it. Had floor seats and unlike a lot of Cirque shows where 90% is in the air so being close and low and center is great, you might consider taking a side vantage with raised seats as a lot happens at ground/stage level.

This show was phenomenal! It doesn't matter your age you will enjoy this show!

The NEPA Philarmonic was fantastic and the acts were well executed, delightful and exciting.

This show was unique combining the performing acts with the music of an orchestra or violin player (who was excellent). I would recommend this show to everyone!

I thought this show would be like all of the other Cirque shows I have seen but I knew when I sat in my seat and looked at all of the usual circus contraptions that this should would be different. I have always thoroughly enjoyed every cirque show I see and my son always comes with me. Well, this show kept not only myself but my 13 year old son laughing and in awe of the amazing performances. Having the live music by our local philharmonic made the experience even better.

Overall, an excellent performance. The acrobats were top notch and the acts were very exciting! The venue was great for watching this performance. The only downside is that there was not a packed house. Alot of people missed a great show. If you have the opportunity to see this show go!!!!!

The show had it's good moments but overall slow at the start and kinda boring. The ending act was the most exciting out of the whole show.

It was better than I thought it would be. The orchestra was great and the performances were breathtaking. Sit on the floor if you can row 5 or better. The difference in price is not much and well worth it.

Do not waste your time or money! as someone who loves the symphony and Cirque shows, I was very excited to attend. However, it was so disappointing that my guest and I left at intermission because I would have rather gone home to bed. The stage was mediocre and there are certainly no frills and limited excitement. The lighting that makes many cirque performances unique was totally missing and if this show hopes to survive, it will need to either block all other future reviews or completely revamp their efforts. The orchestra was however fantastic, and the acts were good, but not to the level as expected or typical of the Cirque brand.

Fantastic show for all ages. My 10 year old was on the edge of his seat and he was mesmerized.

We felt that the music and the orchestra were great, including the singer. The performances felt very sterile, not enough emotion from the performers unlike other productions that we have seen from Cirque this act lacked vocal emotion from the performers that did not engaged those watching them. Perhaps it was the setting and the acts were confined to a very small staged and they couldn't really do all that they are capable of doing!

Tickets to this show were for my fiance s birthday present back in November. Music was excellent and the entertainers were incredible. I would highly recommend this for a date night and even for a family outomg.

There were moments the world disappeared and I forgot to breathe. The show was absolutely amazing! I looked to see if it was playing again because I immediately wanted to watch.

Cirque Musica s Believe was an exceptional show. The performers were awesome and the orchestra and vocals were great! Highly recommend.

Definitely entertaining. Orchestra was on point. Performance was entertaining. Many compare to cirque de sole. It is not that.

The title says it what a show! From start to finish your at the edge of your seat of how exciting and original this show is. It s interactive and fun. I would recommend to all ages it s a must see for the holidays!

I have seen other Cirque shows and this was nothing in comparison!!!

This event was very, very disappointing. The music was OK, but the supposed acrobatics was dull and boring. I have seen much better elsewhere. I would definitely not recommend this to anyone.

The whole show was incredible Took my family and grandchildren sat up front by the stage. ,We were all in amazement of the entertainers acts. .

I am an avid Cirque fan. I have seen their shows over 20 times, and I have enjoyed every one. This show, however, was the most amateurish show I have ever seen. Cirque should be embarrassed to put its name to it. I strongly advise you to save your time and skip this show (even if the tickets were free). With that being said, the orchestra sounded great.

I thought there would be a story line as well as more acrobatics. The singer was great but to us it was more like a Xmas song ballet. My friend and I thought it was not really worth the money we paid for the tickets.

Didn't realize that Believe wasn't a full production show. Not at all for me.

The show was enchanting, more vocals would make it even nicer, overall a great night of holiday spirit delivered through art.

The performance was epic as always, but I was disappointed with the stage lighting and holiday decor which was not bright and sparkling for Christmas, it was actually kind of cold...

This was a wonderful holiday show in the little bit of everything for everyone the music was fantastic and the choreography of the different acts was fabulous.

This show had little to show for. The acts were mostly boring and had very few exciting moments not worth the money.

Not what we thought it would be. We were expecting more emphasis on the orchestra.

The show was great! The music sounded amazing and fresh. The singer was phenomenal. Her first song gave me goosebumps. All of the acts were interesting and exciting. The 'old' man was a riot!!

Good performance but not as elaborate as previous Cirque shows I have attended. Orchestra Iowa was outstanding providing the music.

The acts were unbelievable and thoroughly entertaining. The music was perfect and the singing was superb. There seemed to be too much smoke on the stage so it was hard to see the performances at times. That was a little disappointing. There were 3 overhead screen that were very distracting. I thought for sure they would project the acts so that we could see them better throughout the auditorium. There was a couple of times that they did project the acts but they were not very clear. I think that was a technical issued not to reflect on the performers in anyway. We were 3 generations seeing the performance and we all loved it. Thank you

Let's start with the positive: The music was wonderful. The vocalist was fantastic with a lovely range and great expression. For the most part, the symphony was very good despite some intunation issues during Pachelbel's Cannon. The roller skate, hand balancing, Chinese poles, and Mexican Wheel acts were all very good and the artists displayed a great level of skill and showmanship. Well done. There were multiple issues with the costumes and aerial silks and other fabrics catching on things or not transitioning neatly leading to awkward moments throughout the show. In general, this production is trying very hard to be Cirque du Soliel, but without the budget. I would encourage them to find their stride playing to their own strengths. The floor seats, which were more expensive than others were horrible. I expected to be cold as we were sitting on top of ice, but the venue should have staggered the seats for better viewing of the show. I had to lean into the aisle to see anything at all. I am not sure who is responsible, but parking is sometimes free and sometimes not at this venue. The parking lot is not set up to handle the back up for paid parking and it is always cash only. There should be an option to pre pay to avoid congestion.

The live orchestra was fabulous. Very tasty. All the acts were similar to America's got talent - but live. Great to see in person. The humorist reminded me what vaudeville was like but very up to date. Very talented. What a blend! Music, singing, talent. Well done.

I purchased these Cirque Musique Holiday Believe tickets as a Christmas gift for my mother. Even though we had to drive from another city to see the show it was Spectacular! My mother couldn't and hasn't stopped talking about it to friends and family! Great show, very entertaining and not a dull moment. The acrobatics were great, we loved the lady/ladies performing the hula hoop routines, the men in the defying rotating cage/wheel, and the ribbon acrobatics performed! Not to mention, topping it off, All performed to holiday music/classics! Thank you Cirque Musique Holiday. . . . we BELIEVE! Great Holiday kickoff/Gift!

This is definitely a show more suited to children. Some of the stunts are incredible, but this show, in my opinion, was more of a high-end circus show. I was a bit disappointed given it was Cirque.

I was disappointed in this show. The orchestra and singers were good, but the other performances/acts were basic and nothing that amazed. For the price paid, I expected more. The venue was about 50-60% full, so I would say reduce the price and sell more seats.

The music was fantastic, and the acrobatics were pretty good. Parts of the show were cheesy, and it was slow-moving. I expected much more from a Cirque-labeled event. It's not the Cirque that you see in Vegas. Probably a better show for kids, but it did get us in the holiday spirit. I wouldn't pay that much again for the same show. I paid $80/ticket, and I would say they're valued at $40-50, based on experience.

Ticket prices were very expensive and the show did not parallel. There was way too much down time between acts. It didn't mesh together as a show but rather just random acts to Christmas music. The show was not what I expected for a Cirque show. Walked away with a feeling like it was missing something. Kids nearby were bored and a family sitting near me finally got up and left early.

I'll give it 2 stars because the orchestra sounded really good. Certainly not up to a Cirque performance.

This show was amazing! It was visually stunning! The music Performed live by our own Cedar Rapids Orchestra\u2014 was fantastic! The Acrobats have to be seen to be believed. Even my 15-year old son was impressed, and it s difficult to find anything he likes more than his iPhone. wonderful entertainment for the entire family!

The live orchestra was great, singers amazing and entertainers fabulous.

I have been to many Cirque shows in the Chicago area and always look forward to when a new show comes. I have to say I was completely underwhelmed by this performance. It did not live up to the Cirque standard that I have seen. I have seen better high school musical/play performances. Sorry I wasted my money.

The show was slow moving and had some cheesy parts. Not what I expected. It would be a good show for families with small children.

Music was nice, but acrobatics were much less than anticipated.

Loved it! Had a fabulous time, great theater and went to Gibsons for dinner!

Cirque has always been a favorite, this particular show was a disappointment.

The traveling show offered beautiful singing in addition to the symphony and acrobatics and amazing gymnastics. The costumes and makeup were gorgeous and holiday themed. Pure entertainment start to finish, and at times I was on the edge of my seat in awe at the amazing tricks and abilities of the performers!

We took our family to Cirque Musica Holiday presents Believe at the Scheels Arena. The show was fantastic for the entire family. The theme of the show was "Believe" and was about how we are all too busy in our day to day lives and need to "Believe" during the holiday season. The acts were great and the show was non stop action. The wheel of death, strongman duo, and hula hoops were our favorites. The host was funny as well. Hearing a live orchestra play these great songs was the icing on top of the cake. Cirque Musica was a great way for our family to get into the holiday spirit. Highly recommend.

This was a very good show, not great, but good. However, the final act was STUPENDOUS! Many of these acts seemed like they came from the more physical of the America's Got Talent acts. Very well done, with festive holiday music as accompaniment.

Great music backdrop for a truly stunning Las Vegas style show. Many aerial acts along with comedic relief. Exciting and non-stop. Great for all ages.

We chose this show as a family night out. My two kids 8 & 10 yrs old loved it and we also enjoyed it. Great price.

We were a bit "underwelmed". Having seen other "CIRQUES" events we thought this production was an under achiever. Manhiem Steam Roller and Trans Siberian shows are much better.

Lady threw up on us from a row above. We missed part of the show due that and the venue didn t have anyway to help out. Parts of the show we saw were ok. Not worth the $100+ a seat.

The music was good and the performers are fantastic it just didn't have the visual appeal and wow factor of other Cirque shows I have been to.

All i can say is it was amazing I would go again. The people that sat around us where rude but that has nothing to do with the show.

When I bought the tickets for this, I knew going in that this was not the grand spectacle that Cirque Du Soleil regularly offers, despite the clearly misleading advertising for this show. That's not to say that this outfit's more expensive cousin is flawless; I've seen quite a few of their shows over the years, and maybe two or three resonated with me. With that said, there were some good acts within the framework of this one, but very few. More often than not, I found my attention wandering--and the person manning the video screens for us poor saps in the back very obviously either didn't know what he was doing or didn't care, because the image was badly out of focus throughout, and there never were any closeups. The lighting was likewise mediocre at best. Too often, spotlights failed to illuminate the performers, with several of them in the shadows; I don't mind that at a Tool concert, but not here. The few acts that did manage to impress me during this show--a female contortionist, two men suspended in a sort of cross between a pendelum/see-saw/giant hamster wheel, and a two-man strength/balancing act (that nonetheless went on too long), were interesting, but nothing more than that. Like I said above, I wasn't expecting a spectacular, but I've seen other low-budget productions that had much more to offer than this one. Still, I'm sure it was fun for the kids...provided they could see what was going on, anyway.

The vocalist was amazing and the acrobats did a good job, but I was disappointed by the show as a whole. I guess I thought that with a themed show there would be some sort of story line or something else that would tie the different acts together, but other than the music and a couple of Christmas trees, there wasn't anything to do that. I was also very disappointed that they used sacred, religious music in the show. There are so many fun, wonderful secular songs, it was somewhat jarring and saddening to see half dressed men posturing and posing to "What Child Is This" and others to "Oh Holy Night." Finally, whoever was working the spotlight needed more practice. At one point one of the performers doing a routine was in the dark while a second who was waiting for her to finish was in the spotlight.

Enjoyed the singing artist more than the acrobatics. Nothing original in this show.

First, I wanted to love this show but unfortunately it just did not meet expectations. I live in California but am from the mid-west and miss the snow and "feel' of the holiday. I thought this show would really get my holiday cheer running in high gear. We bought the "best" seats, as advertised, but even those proved not worth the price. The live orchestra was wonderful and I did enjoy the music but the performances of the Cirque team seemed to be an afterthought to the music. The performers themselves were no doubt talented, the show just lacked a natural flow. The gentleman who did the narration of the evening had a great voice but his mic cut out several different times and was popping throughout his onstage time. Our seats on the floor were actually quite poor, although the more expensive offerings. The seats were not staggered at all, so every person's head in front of us blocked view of all the action. We were close, but not situated well to provide optimal view of the stage. All-in-all, we left at the intermission. Again, while the music was nice - the other elements were not substantial enough to keep us.

The orchestra was outstanding, The Singer did a fine job! The acts were done well. NONE of the acts had a WOW factor. This was more of a side show circus with music in the background. I've seen better acts on the Television show, "America's Got Talent". This event was too pricy for what it offered. (Glad I purchased balcony, it didn't hurt the wallet ).

Auditorium needed to be warmer. Most acts were very good. Symphony was a bit too loud.

I really wanted this to be good but I was very disappointed. Las Vegas philaharmonic was fantastic. If it wasn't for their talent, I would have left. The Cirque group was very amateur. I've seen better on Americas Got Talent. For $25 it may have been worth it. $75? BEYOND over priced.

Enjoyed by entire family ages 3 to 80!! -- including teenagers with attitude!! We especially appreciated having the live orchestra. This could have been better if the camera would have been on the orchestra more instead of just showing background snowflakes. The programs were a disappointment. I understand it was a circus style offering but could have taken a lead from more classical formats with pictures of performers and their roles. Overall we felt like we were almost in the middle of performance and liked having one act at a time. Excellent use of wide range of Christmas music.

The music was amazing. However, the cirque acts were a bit disappointing. I don't know if I was expecting too much having seen several cirque shows but the acts were just not to the standard quality of the other cirque shows I attended. Don't get me wrong, we still enjoyed the show, but we weren't blown away. Also, it felt short, like there just wasn't enough content. Now, let me comment on the theater. We were at the very first show at the Smart Financial Centre and it looked it. Everything was clean and looked it's very best. The theater was spacious enough to provide non-cramped seating but still felt intimate. WARNING... be careful when getting seats on the floor on the ends closest to the walls - the view is slightly obscured. Since the price was the same as the other floor, non-orchestra seats, I would not buy these seats at full price. Acoustics were great. Alcohol, light snacks, and other beverages are available for a premium cost.

The Cirque Musica acts, for the most part, were amazing. The athletic abilities and strength of the performers was incredible! The only thing that would have made it better was if there was a large video screen so that we could see the acts even better. Christmas music seemed a little slow for the acts. I think more upbeat music would have given the event a lot more energy. The most disappointing part of the evening was the immense traffic getting into the Dr Pepper arena in Frisco. It took us over an hour to go less than a mile from the service road to the parking entrance and we ended up missing the first 1/2 hour of the performance.

Cirque Musica was exciting.... the Smart Financial Centre was fantastic filled with friendly workers

I have seen a few Cirque shows and they are always theatrical and tell a story. This one wasn't like that. The music was great and the orchestra did a great job and the performers were good but there was no flow. It was like two separate things going on at the same time. It was disappointing and kind of a boring performance.

It was pretty good. This is not a Cirque show on the level of the Las Vegas shows but then it didn't cost as much either. Is is a nice family holiday entertainment? Yes. If I had small children and was looking for a family holiday show would I take them to it. Yes. The other big problem we had was that we were traveling from Los Angeles. This should have been a 50 minute drive but it took us 2 1/2 hours on a Saturday afternoon! So, would I do it again on that basis for that quality show? No. Save your money on the floor seats and book seats at the Honda Center for the side arena seats near the stage. Just as good.

Show was okay. Not how I had imagined. Would not have paid $40 per ticket for really bad seats.

There wasn't much spectacular about this show. Most of the acts were things that you could see for free at Venice Beach or going to a county fair. The one performer balanced on some chairs and did repeated press hand stands. We had seats near the front so we could easily see the metal brackets that would hold the chairs steady. He would simply add more chairs and do another hand stand. There was another performer that just flipped around on a big ring like you might see done by a street performer. The emcee balanced a bunch of props on his chin during the show. Again very repetitive and something you could see for free. There were two gold performers that did some impressive feats of strength and flexibility, but again nothing that you haven't seen many times before. Later in the show 3 girls did some mediocre flexibility moves that were again super repetitive. Most of the show was very boring and repetitive. The worst act being two guys that spun big metal cubes around in a cube war. Their moves basically mimicked each other because there isn't much you can do with a cube. Most annoying were the lights that shown into the audience causing me to have to look away or two shield my eyes. If I pay for the expensive floor seats, then I should NOT have lights glaring into my eyes. I would NOT pay to see the show again and believe I overpaid for the quality of the show. The two positives were the acrobatics completed by two girls (maybe twins) on a aerial swing. They were actually very good, but as excellent as they were didn't make up for the other lackluster performers. I would love to see them in a show as they are the best trapeze performers that I have ever seen in any show. The second best performance was by an acrobat artist that did flips from a flexible narrow platform held by two large men. She had some amazing stunts, but they were very repetitive. Save your money and spend it on a true Cirque show instead of this one that was thrown together as a way to make some easy money.

We went to Cirque Musica for a family vacation and it was amazing!! The music was beautiful and the performance was just awesome! I would totally go back again and I recommend this show to everyone who wants to go see something amazing!

Enjoyable family entertainment. We hope the Cirque organization makes a return trip.

Orchestra playing, guy with a pretty good voice singing a few carols and some not so spectacular circus tricks.

This show was average in comparison to other Cirque shows.
