The epic music was phenomenal. The lighting really enhanced the feeling of it, and the acoustics were spot on. You could really feel the composers passion towards their music.

Venue was spectacular, However whomever did the lighting shined straight gobos and spotlights into the faces of the audience too much - I sat on the side and I was annoyed by the lights - So that is a technical problem then can easily fix. There were at least 3-4 digital glitches one where even Nick Phoenix was caught Lip-Syncing (ouch, That was not acceptable.) Come on if you have live voices and orchestration would that be necessary? The Program Books had errors and incomplete information. The Concert, the music itself over ruled these flaws - For future sake I would Have had minor entertainment value of discussing the songs or dive into the insights of the Trailers then perform the work. I understand Thomas is a musician not a speaker so have someone else or a pre-recording of Thomas more calmly speaking - that would have made this a 4-star, 4.5 would occur if the lights didn t beam into the audiences eyes during all the songs. For the rest of the TSFH fans the night was epic in its own way!

The concert is mind-blowing. It's breath-taking, and the vocalists are very good. Thomas and Nick are both vary laid back, and they performed phenomenally for their first concert. I would say it was worth every penny. These are the masters in their industry.

I believe I know how the audience experiencing Beethoven's 9th for the first time must have felt The set list ran us through the gamut of emotions from awe-inspiring beauty to epic, dramatic power. No moment or song was disappointing. So how do you close out a night of nothing but amazing epic music? What song is more epic than all the others? Frankly, there is none; which is why it wasn't about a song, but a moment. The dedication of the last song, "Breathe", to a terminally-ill boy from Georgia who was in attendance through the make-a-wish foundation. In that moment, his spirits were undoubtedly lifted to the heavens. It was in that moment of connection by all those around him, that I feel, was the most epic, powerful, and beautiful moment of the night.

My son and I traveled from Chicago to see Two Steps From Hell at the Disney Concert Hall for his birthday. All I can say is "Wow!" They are magnificent live and I can't wait to see them again...hopefully closer to home.

Huge fan of their work! Great show! The only real downside for me was a couple of parts had some recording on it, simple recordings that someone could have easily played. It overall did not affect me I thought the show was great, I would do it again and I live 3,000 miles away.

TSFH's world premiere concert was absolutely amazing. Not only were the orchestra, choir, and conductor fantastic, but Thomas Bergersen and Nick Phoenix were amazing as well. They played various instruments, with Nick singing. It was at times epic, exhilarating, heartbreaking, and silly, to make for an overall perfect experience. They seem like really down-to-earth performers and I am confident that their next concerts will be just as amazing as this one. I was in the third row which was expensive but 100% worth it. I highly recommend it, because it's so cool to be so close to Thomas playing the electric violin.

The Two Steps From Hell Concert was amazing! The moment the music began, I knew this night would be one that I would never forget. The lights and the intensity of the music overflowing through the music hall was incredible. It was great to see everything come to life. This is one experience that I will always treasure forever.

Although the composers' music tends to jump to the 'climax' a little to quickly (being that they write for 'epic movie soundtrax... no real surprise), without much development or thematic build, I still had tremendous fun. The choir and orchestra were amazing. The two singers were both physically and tonally beautiful. One of them had some issue with her shoes hurting her... so she came on stage barefoot... quite an adorable down-to-earth contrast to all the formal clothes she and the rest of the orchestra had on! While someone said that the Disney Center doesn't have 'bad seats,' they're DEAD WRONG. Unless you're in front of the Orchestra, the sound is somewhat muted and weak. We moved closer toward the front of the orchestra at the break, and being closer made the experience MUCH BETTER. I would've not enjoyed myself anywhere near as much. With a 'U' shaped seating pattern, I was surprised that the orchestra layout was devoted to the 'front' of them (there are other ways of organizing an orchestra so that 'side' seaters benefit) and the singers only faced the front as well, NEVER turning toward the hundreds of people seated to their right or left. A very odd (possibly inexperienced?) behavior, when people have paid a very high price to see them perform.

This concert was absolutely amazing and I would definitely go again. I felt Disney Hall had exceptional sound quality even in the balcony where I sat. Two Steps From Hell sounded spot on with what I had heard on Youtube, only everything was much more rich and powerful!! The music had the entire crowd filled with adrenaline and emotion to the point where tears accumulated in my eyes from pure bliss. Not going to lie, I would miss my own wedding for another chance to see them

The Two Steps From Hell Live event was a wonderful way to experience the group's music, combining the already exciting music with the showmanship of the performers and conductors and elaborate theater lighting that made great use of the space. The group sounded absolutely incredible live and I'm thrilled to have had the experience of seeing them in person. The only criticism I would have is that the lights would frequently come down too early, cueing an applause from the audience before the performers were actually finished, and I would have really appreciated a program of the numbers being provided, as I heard a few that I enjoyed but can't place and would have liked to know what they were. Beyond that, it just wasn't long enough; I could have gladly listened to them play another hour.

Let's start with the bottom line: This concert was awesome!!! The songs still playing in my mind! I was hoping for them to play at least 60min, but the show lasted for a whole 2 hours (incl. 20min break)! Instead of a view welcome words before getting started (which I personally would have preferred) Nick, Thomas, the orchestra and the choir - all about 100 persons on stage! - started directly and made the crowd explode with some of their most beloved tracks. Too bad they did not allow us to take pictures or film it so we could re-live it over and over again. I trully hope there will be a DVD of this or at least a next time. They closed the event with a few personal words and a tribute song, an event which they obviously enjoyed at least as much as we fans did as it was visible in the way they played and performed. Also a big thank you at all the other fans attending the concert for their discipline and enjoying the songs (in three cases almost) to the last note before exploding in a frenzy for what they have just witnessed: history in the making and not just ticking out like a on a rock or metal concert. The Walt Disney Concert Hall was also the best possible location with unobstracted view for every fan and an unparalleled accustic. I trully hope there will be a next time, cause 2 Steps from Hell are just too good not to be witnessed lived again. It was trully worth flying around the globe from Germany to LA for this event. Guys keep doing what you can do best: Excite us with the most epic tracks I've ever heard. YOU ARE THE BEST. PERIOD!

It was amazing seeing songs I have listened to and been inspired by for years come to life. Awesome performance. My only complaint is that they could have played MORE songs! The ones I wanted to hear that weren't in were Road to Revelation, The Colonel, Spirit of Moravia, Undying Love, Invincible, El Dorado, Men of Honor, Cassandra, Flameheart, Archangel, and Sun and Moon.

This was my very first concert ever, and I really enjoyed it. The light show added a nice atmosphere to the music. The music itself was epic of course! My only complaints were that the violins were a tad too quiet for most of the songs, and that some of the songs were played with a back-track. I can understand the ladder since I feel like the band did not have enough room to fit all of the instruments necessary to reproduce each song (like guitarists, a standard drum kit, and a synthesizer, among other things). I still loved the concert and I would love to see them live again!

One of the best shows of the year, and definitely the most epic event of this decade yet. Great lights programming, excellent live performers! Also loved the sense of hope at the ending of the show... No words to thank TSFH for their extreme hard work and passion for music!

The concert was more than I expected. I came prepared to hear my favorite songs, like To Glory and Winterspell. I did not expect them to make the songs more epic and intense than they already were, and to Two Steps from Hell, I say bravo. I would gladly go again and attempt to go to any future concert they have.

When I came across this concert listing in the LA Weekly, I had to do a double-take. Could I really be seeing what I was seeing? Film trailer music composers Nick Phoenix and Thomas Bergersen putting on a show at the Walt Disney Concert Hall? Not Hans Zimmer or Howard Shore or John Williams, but Nick Phoenix! Really? I dropped everything I was doing and bought a $150 seat in the Front Orchestra section. I figured this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see a concert put on by trailer composers so I better not miss it. Plus I wanted to support the "little guys" of the film music industry who are often anonymous and almost always under-appreciated. I don't regret a dime of my purchase. These two guys put on an awesome show. They filled the stage with a larger-than-expected orchestra and choir and augmented this with their own performances of drums, electronic keyboards, and electronic violin, and a synchronized track of background sounds and music. It was a nice synthesis of electronic and acoustic music. My one and only criticism is that the "click track" for their pre-programmed music and sound FX was clearly audible through the headphones of the performers, which I found to be a distraction. This is a fairly minor point considering that you can't really hear it once the music is going full tilt, which is most of the time, because this music by its nature is full-tilt. Some of the other concert-goers were grousing about how "empty" the hall was, but I have to say, despite all the empty seats, they had a phenomenal turn-out considering the relative obscurity of their music. Nick reported afterward on his Facebook page that 3/4 of the seats were sold. Rather impressive if you ask me! I sincerely hope they are able to put on a concert like this again. It was great to see so many young people at a classical music concert at the WDCH. Kudos to Nick and Thomas for this accomplishment. I wish them the best in their ongoing efforts to build an audience for this type of music. I certainly gave them a lot of lip service on my own personal social media, which I hope will help increase awareness and drive more people to the next concert should there be one. Keep up the good work, gentlemen!

My introduction to Two Steps from Hell was the trailer music used for the launch trailer for the video game, "Mass Effect 2." Little did I know, the title of that song was, "Heart of Courage." When I finally found out who composed it, I was hooked for life. So, one could imagine how loud I squeed when I heard TSFH were going to be performing live near where I lived. Pretty sure I woke up the neighbors from a deep sleep. :D The concert was everything I had thought it was going to be, and then some. I swear, it was as if I was listening to them on my Ipod. It feels like, whenever you go to a live concert, you don't really hear music, you just hear really loud noise, and echoes of the songs you know and love by the artists. But TSFH was damn near pitch perfect. They played with such passion and precision, I couldn't help but smile and giggle when they started playing "Protectors of the Earth" and "Strength of a Thousand Men." To boot, Thomas Bergersen and Nick Phoenix are such great human beings that they dedicated a song to a teenage kid who asked them to play a song for him through the Make a Wish foundation. Good music, good men, how can words describe how amazing this experience was? My only few complaints, I can't give a 10/5 star rating, the show lasted only 2 hours (as in, I was enjoying myself so much, these 2 hours flew by like a bullet), and not enough seats were filled. Hey, Thomas and Nick, can you hear me? Next time, book a bigger stage, and charge more. I paid 150 bucks for your show, you're worth 500 :D This concert will be engraved in my mind till I'm six feet under. I hope they come back soon, and next time, I'm bringing my friends, family, and anyone else whom needs to hear this extraordinary music. Final note: A shout-out to that.... redhead? strawberry blond? that was singing in those seats above the musicians; don't know what it was about her, but that girl was gorgeous. ;)

I honestly do not know where to start... The concert itself is a masterpiece. Their music, honestly, is out of this world! When i was there sitting there, eager to hear more, I told myself how in the world they come up with these wonderful pieces? Both Thomas and Nick are just GENIUS. The music they created still resonate in my soul. They are inspiration, and I am truly lucky enough to live close to LA just to see their FIRST LIVE CONCERT. I am so happy to be able to see them LIVE. I was surprised that they are part of the performance too! Im like..ugh... I just can't explain it. It is just pure epicness. I was just pissed because I was not able to take pictures, so I recorded everything in my memory, and I truly believe that I will keep those memories forever.

Knowing this is basically a once in a lifetime event I just had to go to this show, I went with two buddies of mine and we absolutely loved it. Most amazing live show I have ever seen. The way the choir and the band played together was breath taking. One can easily be taken away by the incredible talent this orchestra demonstrates. I was very happy with my purchase, the refreshments and merchandise tables just outside were a nice touch as well. Loved it!

It was beyond amazing. Easily one of the greatest experiences of my life. You bring a new wave of fans to classical orchestra symphony. The audience for Two Steps From Hell's concert was diverse in age, gender and culture. I saw young kids, hipster teenagers, and the older classical audience give them an extended ovation.

This was simply one of the best performances ever. The Disney Music Hall has incredible acoustics. I sat on the side of the stage, and it sounded like the orchestra was all around me. They played some of their best songs and just seemed to have a nice light atmosphere, which made everything feel so fantastical. Amazing music, amazing sound, if they ever play again, I highly recommend everyone who loves epic music to go see them. There were a very very very few minor technical problems (The sound glitched once, and one tiny bit of feedback which was instantly corrected), but over all near perfection!
