"The Barclays" was an unforgettable event. Its very exciting to watch the pros hit shot after shot for hours. Liberty National Golf Course has many areas where you can watch multiple holes. There are many hills and humps to sit on and get a good view of what's going on around you. Course was relatively flat and in phenominal shape. Good views of the Statue of Liberty and New York skyline as well. Great Event!!!

If you enjoy playing the Scottish Links, you will love being on this golf course ,even if you are not a player.Some of the views were spectacular. Volunteers were helpful and very , very nice. A GREAT DAY for a GREAT PRICE. All tournaments should be this affordable.

My 10 year old son and I attended the pro am practice round on Wednesday. It was great. My son had his hat signed by 41 of the 54 golfers that were in attendance. He also met and got Donald Trump's signature. We took tons of pictures. The course was beautiful, the volunteer staff is great. They are all extremely helpful and knowledgeable. This is our second golf outing to a practice round. The first was to the US Open @ Bethpage Black this year which was equally thrilling. The only negative is the price of the food and drinks. Otherwise, my son and I can't wait until the next PGA event.

The views, the course and its condition and the venue are all amazing. Wherever you walk, you always see the Statue of Liberty. You also get a great view of the NY skyline from the back of the 8th green and a number of other holes. The course itself is unique (besides the fact that it was one vast toxic dump not too long ago) in that the fairways are narrow, the greens are undulating and are tough to distinguish from the fairways at most holes and spectators have very good views of the action.

The course wasa amzing. Having seen it as a toxic waste dump and abandoned factories turn into a premier verdant golfers paradise was simply breathtaking. With the Verranzano Bridge and Lady Liberty and the Lower New York Harbor, and the perfect weather, made for a wonderful 2 days.

I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE VIEWS AND THE CONDITION OF THE COURSE, IT SEEMED LIKE EVEN THE PLAYERS WERE SLOWING AND SOMETIMES STOPPING JUST TO ENJOY THE VIEWS. AFTER THAT I WAS NOT SO IMPRESSED WITH THE LAYOUT. THE MAIN GATE IS ON THE FOURTH FAIRWAY? YOU WERE STOPPED WHEN PLAYERS WOULD TEE OFF! THE ROUND ABOUT WAY ONE HAD TO GET TO THE FIRST TEE OR THE EIGHTEEN GREEN IS NOT FAN FRIENDLY! IF THE MEMBERS HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE AVERAGE GUY COMING IN FROM THE FRONT GATE THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE HAD A PGA EVENT. THE LOCATION OF TENTS FOR BUYING SHIRTS AND HATS NO EASY TO FIND. The skyline and the Lady make a unique and truly magnificent backdrop. I believe this Barclays event will prove be quite a memorable one. The only drawback I foresee will be the efficient movement of spectators around the course. The real test of this will be on Sunday. Several of players I spoke to were in agreement on this point. To that end the best spon on the course for viewing play is the nexus of 5/16 greens and 8/17 tees. If prevailing winds do not become a factor 20 under might be the magic number, 10 under if otherwise.

The course was tough, the golf was great. Not so great were some cell phone addicted fans who couldn't put them away and were taking and making calls, and shooting photos and videos forgetting not only the RULES at the event, but also blocking the view of everyone behind them. If I could un-invent the things, I'd do it in a heartbeat. VERY disappointed in the boorish behavior

We travelled from Scotland to see the golf. Bought our tickets online and saw that they had to be collected at Will Call. Took the bus from New York and when we arrived found there was no pedestrian entry? Walked the circumference of the grounds asking various people/policemen where to get in. Told we would only get in on shuttle bus which - because we had come by normal bus - didn't apply. One guy said to jump the fence as it would be the only way in on foot. This is what we did - only to be asked what we were doing by a policeman. Tried to explain our situation, but not very helpful. Eventually made way to Will Call and told tickets were somewhere else! Left hotel at 7am - got into golf at 10.45am!! Fantastic day once we were in though. Didn't make the same mistake next day - took the train - then shuttle bus.

The Barclays Was a fun and Competitive event. I have attended a lot of golf tournaments and Ridgewood Country Club always handles an event of this size organized, well and efficiently. Good place to get up close and personal with players. Ticketmaster print at home ticketing works great for entering an event with convenience and time efficiency.

My first PGA event and it was great. It was easy to get tickets on line so entry to the event was quick. Going through security was not a problem as it can be at some events because they had people telling you what could and could not be brought in, well before the security checkpoint. Once inside there were many vendors and advertisers available for new products and games to try to win prizes. It was fun. The food trucks were a great change of pace. Something for everyone and then some. I also took advantage of the United and Mastercard tents as a chance to cool off in air conditioning. Watching the golfers was terrific and the fact that most stopped to sign autographs after their rounds is to be commended. We need more PGA events in NJ!

This was a great day of professional golf. Tickets were reasonably priced, especially with the Mastercard 2 for one deal. Very good tournament, complete with "local boy" Hoffman who did very well. Concession stands were a little rough. Hey Mastercard.... next time get faster card readers and don't make every person sign for a $7 or $14 drink purchase! Other than that and a few Bergen County morons that overtly cut in line, we had a great time.

Great golf and a field full of champions. But, any spectators with less than 100% mobility were forgotten in the planning. Even if you could get a lift along the course pathways - no help was available for the long, long trek from the parking lot to the course pathway. Wheelchairs were forced to navigate the unforgiving unpaved woods along a rocky dirt path. Unacceptable - especially when the dirt path ran alongside a paved street that was simply blocked off.

What a great time at the Barclays! To be there in person is such a great experience. I recommend that everyone goes at least once in their life to a golf event like this. The Ridgewood Country Club really stepped up their game this year. The addition of food trucks, concerts, and more comfortable seating really put it over the top. The Ridgewood CC provided a perfect setting for the Barclays where one could view any and all PGA pros virtually unhindered and unencumbered anywhere on the course. The golf course was in near perfect condition, pristine green fairways and greens with a terrific albeit challenging layout. Almost anywhere on the course was a good place to view the players and in uncrowded conditions. (Saturday) The facilities were excellent, plenty of food, rest areas, shops and all easy to access. Looking forward to next year's event.

Would have gotten five stars, but they should have had more signage or spared a few people to let those parking very far away about the bag-size policy. We had to walk an extra mile (half mile each way, not exaggerating) because we didn't see signs indicating my wife's purse (soft bag about 10x10x2) was too big (needed to be 6x6x6 or smaller).

The Barklays was an amazing event where all the top players in the sport compete for the $10,000,000 grand prize. Being that close to the worlds best golfers was an awesome experience. I was literally right in the middle of all the action on the final day. I was feet away from the likes of Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, and Phil Mickelson, watching them do what they do. I can't wait for next year!

We bought our tickets when they offered a $50 weekly package. I can't recommend doing that highly enough! The single day walk up price is $65, so for spending $15 less, you get an entire week. We went Tue, Thur, Fri, Sat, & Sun (partial days). I figure even with parking it only cost me $20/per day! And right now you can buy 2011 week tickets for $45!!

The folks running the event were very pleasant and very helpful. Everyone greeted you and offered assistance, even if you was not looking for assistance. The day I went it was a little gloomy and not many players were out but those that did play were very receptive to the spectators and willing to sign autographs and pose for pictures. The pass I purchased was a hell of a bargain and I bought passes for my mom as well so she could bring her friends. The only issue was the lack of shuttle service for the older folks and the handicapped.

I didn't think I would ever get the opportunity to see Tiger play so I was very excited when he decided to come to Liberty National. My tickets were for practice rounds which was okay with me. I got 2 days to see the pros play and the price was reasonable. The course is beautiful and I had no trouble making my way around. There wasn't a big crowd which made it even easier to get around. I didn't use the shuttle service because I live close enough to walk. My only complaint was not being able to buy any souvenirs. They were selling programs but I also wanted to buy a t-shirt or a hat.

Attended today's (Wed.) practice round. Ferry + shuttle worked TO the tournament. Tournament only has ONE exit for up to 25,000 people. (OK maybe 2,000 of which will use VIP only exits.) Today, not too many people were there (practice day). But a bit worried for the rest of the week... Great course. Hot dog + 20 oz. Coke = $ 9.00 (They DO take credit cards). Looking forward to the rest of the week, not so sure about the exiting logistics. Maybe I'll write another review with an update.

I went on Thursday and the place was empty. a beautiful sunny 77 degree low humidity day. why? for several years the tournament sold tickets in the merchandise tent for the following year. it was 100 bucks for a weeks worth of tickets. several different people used them. at 70 bucks a head other people didn't bother. bad move.

I took my father and we had a great time. We were both amazed at how talented the players are and how close you could get to the action. I had about 15 players that I wanted to see and we ended up seeing all of them. We drove to Nassau Collisium where we took a shuttle. It was very convienent and a quick trip. We went to the US Open at Bethpage on Saturday in 2009. It rained and was miserable. The Barclays this past Saturday was just the opposite. The weather was perfect and the tournament was very well run. We parked ourselves by numerous greens and watched the leaders play through. Then we jumped ahead a couple of holes and did it all over again. The only disappointment was that Ricky had some problems on Sunday and didn't win. They must have sold a lot of $8 beers, because there were a lot of well-lubricated fans by the end of the day. That was the only downer. Everything else was great.

My son and I had a fantastic time. We were able to park on the street with only a 5 minute walk to the golf course. The facility and staff were great, no hassles at any time during the day. The weather was wonderful. We were able to get reasonably close to all the golfers and we did our best to cheer them on. All in all, it was a great day.

I would like to compliment everyone who was involved with making the Barclays such a great pleasure to attend. It was a beautiful day. The golf course was immaculate. Everyone from the security people at the shuttle bus area to the volunteers to concession workers at the course were helpful and friendly. The shuttle situation was handled perfectly, as there was no waiting and more than enough buses. I was sitting in the grandstand at the 1st tee early morning on Saturday and people came up to sit in my row and turns out they were old friends/co workers from days gone by. We hung all day and had a blast. They even had an extra clubhouse pass, so that made the day even more exciting. If you are a golf fan, make sure you attend this event at least once.

The entire set up of the grounds was perfect. Very well though out. Food, drinks and restrooms were in abundance. I was very fortunate to win two tickets Master Card Sky Box on the 18th Green. That was amazing. This was my first time to a PGA tournament and can't wait to attend another on. Thank you Master Card.!

For the price of the tickets, the crowds are to massive to have an enjoyable expierence. You can hardly see the players between the crowds n the people working there and the camera men. You can be standing in the front waiting for the player to come down the course and a camera crew will come set up right in front of you blocking the view you had. Also when the sign at the line to get something to drink says 3.00 for a coke and they charge you 5.00 and tell you the sign is wrong, it makes you wonder?

Once again, we had a fantastic time at this PGA Event! I would highly recommend attending and with the BuyOne/GetOne offer typically available w/ a Mastercard, its is well worth the money for a good day viewing the PGA's best on a private course.

Very well run, nice grounds, fun events, good food and refreshments. Anyone who thinks attending a PGA golf tournament is boring, think again! Especially for young kids who are free with adult. Not many sports where you can get so close to the best in the world. Suggest Pro Shop stock up more on boy's clothing. Although overpriced, stock ran out on Friday. Bring your MasterCard for discount and club access. Beautiful weather made it perfect for our family. Kinda wish it would go back to Liberty State Park, although Plainfield Country Club was nice!

Fun and great views of NYC! A real experience all around! Didn't know where to look: the worlds greatest golfers, the beautiful liberty mutual golf course grounds, or the magnificent views of the NYC skyline and the Statue of Liberty!!!!
