I was fortunate enough to see the real Pink Floyd some time ago, and was very impressed with the way the pink floyd experience impersonated their music. The music was spot on, and the light show was fantastic, but was hoping for more after the intermission. The disappointment was the stage show didn't come close to matching the real deal. as I said , the lights were great, but they used no props or lasers. I saw them in a small venue so maybe that was part of it. Overall though, the music was great and I would recommend this show for the Pink Floyd fan.

What a great concert! My concert-mate and I thought our seats were in the middle of the Keller Auditorium but were actually in row 2, front center. The vibe coming off the band was electric. They honestly seemed happy to be in Portland, OR for the first time and I for one, hope they return again soon. Lighting was good, nothing over the top, nothing that pierced the eyes (my concert-mate would have preferred green laser and more smoke but who wouldn't have given the great setlist?). The diverse crowd didn't take long to get into the swing of things. Long before intermission, the band had received a partial crowd standing ovation for their mastery of the music combined with just enough variation to make it their own. Nearly every song in the concert's final hour and 25 minutes received wild applause, many with standing ovations from the front half of the auditorium. The final four songs, most notably from The Wall and Dark Side of the Moon were heartily approved of by the crowd's reactions. I'd be surprised if anyone walked away disappointed. This new Pink Floyd Experience fan would definitely attend again and hopes the band returns to the Rose City.

At 38 years old, I consider myself to be one of younger, old Pink Floyd fans. There were only a couple of songs that the Experience played that I didn't know by heart. I was in the 5th row, dead center. All other things considered, The Experience played Pink Floyd faithfully and many times sounded as good as if not better than what I am used to hearing on their albums. I found myself fighting back tears multiple times during the concert. Many of us stood up applauding after the songs. The audience was amazingly responsive and there were lots of shouting, whistling and screaming. Very well done show, and I can't say I'll forget about it any time soon. The band also came out into the lobby after the show and were all very enjoyable.

Not the best Pink Floyd cover band I've seen, but pretty good. The guitar player is a monster. He nails every Gilmour solo without breaking a sweat and he's not showy about it. Just a working stiff going about his very cool job. The sax player, too, is remarkable. A major player. The rest of the band is solid. Great drummer. He plays like a jazz guy doing Nick Mason, so he's a little busier than most, but stays in the pocket and doesn't overwhelm. The singer is a little hard to watch. He's got a great voice and does a few different PF voices, but he's a bit too theatrical for my tastes. The Aussie band has more punch, for sure. And I've seen another local PF cover band a couple of times (The Floydian Slips) made up of top players from various other bands who come together every now and then and they do it with a little more passion, I believe. But if you need your live PF fix and PFX comes to town, I'd go.

I was skeptical of tribute bands but over the last few months I've seen Hotel California (The Eagles), Rain (The Beatles), and PFX (Pink Floyd). I'm hooked. All three of these shows were wonderful. If you're more interested in the music than the personalitues, I highly recommend checking out tribute bands. I'm not even going to try to describe it. I'm sure it's a different experience for everyone depending on your age and your connection to the music. Check it out.

This group of professional musicians has made a believer out of me for tribute bands. If modern clasical musicians can play Beethoven, why not rock musicians? You don't have to be a composer to play great music of others. The caliber of these pros was more than up to the task of playing these classic rock songs. As Gus, "the legend", their bass player said, this is some of the best rock music ever written. They polished off these pieces and made them their own. True to the originals, but with an extraordinary added musicianship that blew me away! Bring them back again!

When you see a band playing another bands music, especially a legend like Pink Floyd they are usually a tribute or a cover band. These guys take enough musical license with the songs to be considered a cover band rather than tribute. They play PF's music just a little too fast, in a slightly higher key, and just rocked out in general a bit more then the original band, who were well known for staying in the shadows and letting the music be the star. I've seen Australian Pink Floyd and I honestly have to say that the vocals and production were much better, but this band still gets three stars for a huge effort, and an A for picking out some of the best more obscure music in the bands repertoire.

I didn't know what to expect before going to this show, I have loved PF for a long time but never got to see them live and I guess this is the closest thing I might ever get. I thought the show was great. The musicians were great lead guitar was played great also bass and saxophone made the show. Singing wasn't always exact but really good. Overall I would see them again.

Surprised show started at 7:30, what is up with that Keller? The band started out a little flat, but really hit their stride with Money. They really did a great job with some of the classics, but I kept coming back to the lead guitar just seemed off. Seemed sort of flat, parts of the leads just didn't ring like the should have. Most obvious in comfortably numb. Obvious not to be able to pull that solo off he changed it up, not faulting and it showed his own talent in doing so. Bass guitar, the Legand - very entertaining, Keyboards excellent, absolutly loved the sax and got a kick out of the flying pink pig. I'd go again

Covering a band like Pink Floyd is a tall order. These guys are talented and give justice and respect to an amazing and timeless catalog of music. Purists may scoff but barring a Floyd reunion, this is the best you're gonna get. I'm sure Dave and Roger would be proud.

I have been a long time PF fan, having seen the real PF 3 times. I have also seen other copy bands over the years, considering the Aussie Floyd show to be the best that has come to Portland. PF music is serious note for note music. I think the show was good however would have rather the band stick to the actual music, than all of the throw ins and extra riffs that didn't belong. They also began with one song, only to cut it off and go into a completely different song. Understandably, PF music is difficult to recreate, but I think the band would go further if they got a bit more serious about the music. Just my 2 cents.

This cover band is as close to an actual Pink Floyd concert as you can get! Their vocals and playing were spot on. The use of actual PF sound effects and their own special effects left nothing to be desired. Their choice of songs, from the vast PF library, was a great mix. Although all were excellent musicians, the sax player was a notable stand out, drawing the loudest applause. And there was plenty of applause and fists raised in the air, from the white haired / bald (affluent) majority of the audience. Old rockers rule! Highly recommended.

Watching The Pink Floyd Experience last night at The Keller Auditorium was like walking across a bridge in time. It was almost impossible to tell the difference between the original Pink Floyd and the Pink Floyd Experience of today. The show was authentic and powerful. The light show was great but the spot lights shining into the audiences eyes so often was a little distracting. It would have been better to watch the show without having to squint so much of the time. The Pig in the air at the finale took me back to my memory of watching the original Pink Floyd perform at the LA Colliseum in 1980-81. The old pig was on a cable, the new pig is radio controlled and free floating, fun to watch. I would recommend the show to anyone who thought that Pink Floyd was gone forever except in your memories and recorded music. It was a powerful performance and extremely well done.

Musically this show was close but not Pink Floyd. Instrumentally it lacked the driving energy that defined PF. It sounded like thay had performed this show one time too many without a break and were pretty much going through the motions. The lead singer from the U.K. was a total distraction. Vocally he is gifted but he insisted on pretending that he was playing a guitar through out the performance, adjusting knobs, kicking floor buttons, fiddling with his sound pack on his belt, flipping his hair about narcissisticly and never touching the strings. The more of this that I wathched the more I felt ripped off by his phoniness. The other members of the band were superb musicians whose joint effort was demeaned by the lead singer.

Seen this act in Lawrence. It was OK but not nearly as good as the performances put on by the Australian Pink Floyd Show. I'd save my money to go see the Australian group when they make their annual appearance at the Uptown in KC in November. More instruments, better vocals, backup singers and an awesome light show similar to the Pulse concert. The PFE is second rate to the Australian Pink Floyd Show.

Having seen Pink Floyd live a couple of times, I was looking forward to bringing my son & his friend, ages 14, to the Pink Floyd Experience - and was not let down! I'd never attended the Pink Floyd Experience before but was there for all of PInk Floyd's 1987 shows at the LA Sports Arena and at the LA Memorial Coliseum (which were just incredible!). So I left expectations at home, checked out PFE and was not disappointed. Of course the show's spectacle is way scaled down compared to a genuine PF concert but the musicianship is excellent, the setlist was varied and interesting (mixing classic PF songs with more obscure tunes from the PF catalogue). On its own terms, this show was really good with over 2+ hours of music. The audience was very appreciative (a sold-out show as far as I could tell), giving several standing ovations. The Orpheum Theatre is a beautiful venue and all of the staff (ushers, foodservice, StaffPro security) we encountered were very friendly and helpful.

To preface this, I've seen Brit Floyd twice. Both outstanding shows, that were spot on as far as comparing to the original Pink Floyd. This show had many flaws where there were deviations to the original Pink Floyd songs. I would never see this band again. Will look forward to Brit Floyd's next Indy appearance. It was a cheesy imitation of a truly iconic band. I will give props to the musician who played the saxophone. He was truly the best musician on stage.

This group is a notch or two below the major tribute bands like Australian Pink Floyd. The concept is to downsize everything, get away from the arena show and make it a closer experience. They play small venues, the stage is small and not the typical PF setup. The flying pig was small but funny. They sure got the most out of a small array of computer controlled lights. The musicians seemed decent and they tried hard to recreate PF faithfully while adding their own touches. I was put off by the set list at first. They played entire sides of 4 albums, and they started with Animals. Sound was powerful but -- my major (really annoying) complaint was the sound mix. WAY TOO MUCH bass, I almost left in frustration, but stayed thinking it might improve. It did not. Could not hear the lead guitar on Comfortably Numb (!).

I was surprised to see a new face behind the mic holding a guitar! But he was everything you could ask for. He could probably take over for Tom when he retires. Great voice and fantastic guuitar playing. And I've been playng guitar and singing myself since the 70's. The sound seamed better than usual. And the other players seemed motivated and exited by their new line-up. I've seen The PFX a few times now and this was by far the best performance to date! Randy McStine! The BOMB!

It was just like I was at a Pink Floyd concert in the 70's and 80's. Because they know most their audience are baby boomers who are now in their 40's - 60's, they didn't have the volume up so high it causes your ears to ring for days afterward. The crowd was enthusiastic but people stayed in their seats for the most part and we were able to see and hear the band well. The big screen behind the band had very interesting scenes that looked like they were personally chosen by Pink Floyd. The pink automated floating pig was a nice touch at the end too.

I kinda had an idea what we were in for, but my wife never got to see the REAL Pink Floyd Show (Tampa Stadium 5/1995 Division Bell Tour sans Waters) so I figured I would sit through it for her. I thought the rumors of Waters, Gilmour & Mason doing a final tour to be chancy at best. Even she found it to be lackluster at best. Yawn :-{ I will say the musicians are talented, but even that could not overcome an otherwise lame show. In fact so talented they should actually write some of their own stuff!! The vocals about a "4 of 10" in fact one verse was even missed and kinda glossed over. The entire experience I can only sum up by saying it was like giving tickets for the Go-Kart track to a NASCAR die hard! I have seen better light shows from bands not even known for them, IE: Journey, Blue Oyster Cult etc. Yes, they had a single human controlled pig towards the end of the show. When we arrived at the Theater and I noticed 1 Tour Bus, 1 van & 1 Semi & compared that to the 45 semi's at the Stadium Show... ...Well, I would like to say you get what you pay for but my single ticket was over $40.00 and I saw Floyd for $50.00? I have quite a ticket stub collection from REAL Bands and now I have 1 and only one fake stub. Live & learn strive to save and see only the REAL folks, even with the Beatles I only got to see Paul with Linda (Awesome Show) and Ringo's All Stars twice, excellent as well! It ain't so bad being over 50!!

The show started off great, and just got better and better as it went on. These guys do an amazing job of giving you exactly what it is advertised as, "The Pink Floyd Experience" Being a true Pink Floyd fan, I was skeptical going into it, and I will admit I wasn't expecting much, but these guys have definitely put in the time and work to do the music justice. Vocally, it's not Roger Waters and David Gilmore, so for the nit pickers out there, you should understand that going into it. With that being said, they still did a fantastic job, and instrumentally, it was groovin'!!! I'll definitely go again if given the opportunity! Great show guys!!!

Newest member, lead singer, did a good job. Sounds a lot like David Gilmore. Lead guitarist and bass player were excellent. Sax was pretty good also. Lead singer played multiple instruments and did a really god job. Not a total mimic of Pink Floyd, but really close. There were times during their performance that right side speakers went out. This had a major effect on the overall sound. For example, during some of the sax break outs, you couldn't hear it. Overall, a good time.

If you love Pink Floyd, then this show will not disappoint. The music is deep and soulful, the musicians quite talented. The only thing missing was a female singer, as some Floyd songs are just not the same with the girly backups. The Kirby was a fantastic venue and the crowd was enjoyable, not drunken and raucous. I went with my 19 year old son and we had a great time! Sorry for the lousy cell phone picture but no cameras were allowed. I just couldn't resist the pig.

THE SHOE WAS AWESOME!!!!!! The group did a fantastic job from the Songs, each artiist's solo performance, and the Video they played in the back round to correlate to the music. The after party was so great to meet them all and just hang out was the best time ever.. Highly recommend this show for others.

I got tickets to this show without giving it too much thought. It was in a small venue (Fitzgerald Theater) in St. Paul, MN, so I thought it would be interesting to see. As a guy who saw the *original* The Wall Tour back in 1980 at the Nassau Coliseum, and several times post-Roger Waters, I consider myself to be a good judge of good Floyd vs. just another wannabe tribute band. The Pink Floyd Experience was more than just another tribute band. They did an excellent job of capturing Pink Floyd's sound and feel without needing to go over the top with their light show. The members were all great guys - very friendly - and stayed after the show for pics and autographs. Overall, it was a great time, and it was nice to see so many kids in their 20s there experiencing music that just isn't really out there anymore.

Cool Show. They played a few old songs that I have never heard live. Childhoods end and Let there be more light, plus a few others. It was so nice to here some rarities the even Dave and Roger never play. They also added a saxophone to some songs and everyone loved it standing 0's every song. I have seen Davids Floyd 2X and Roger 4X and after this concert I am thinking that the cover bands who play very cool pre Darkside stuff is even better. One more time hearing Money I think I might puke.

Carolina Theatre in Durham is one of the best small venues for concerts of all genre. The staff (donors & volunteers) were courteous, polite and professional, the security staff (Staff-1) handled all things with professionalism including a few unruly patrons without having to eject anyone, calm and professional. The seats were great and the acoustics were excellent. I have been to many concerts at this venue and will always return knowing that everything will be held to the highest grade of excellence!!!

These guys are great! Lover's of Pink Floyd themselves, they recreate the beloved music with enthusiasm and flair. Adding just enough personalization to make it fun. For those of us who love Floyd, it's great to hear the music played live and since the Floyd doesn't tour anymore, this is the next best thing. They have some great special effects to make you feel like you're at a Floyd concert but to me those are secondary to the great job they do playing my favorite music. This was the 5th time I've seen them and will definitely be back.

A wonderful setlist of 70s Floyd. As a 40+ year fan, this was SO worth it. My wife was not much of a fan, but she is now. You owe it to yourself to get PFX'd

This is the 2nd time we've seen PFX and they're always GREAT! Music is great and a great stage performance. We will see them anytime they're near. First time we've been in that venue though. We were down front, but off to one side, which made it difficult to see part of the stage. We'll know where to get seats for the next time.

I would say they're decent but not great. Firstly the positives: - They did a few songs brilliantly (One of these days, run like hell) - The bass guitarist, the keyboard player and the drummer were excellent The negatives - Poor song selection (A Pink Floyd cover band concert without any of Time, High Hopes, Breathe, Another Brick in the Wall is not really done, is it?) - Poor lead guitar and singing - the lead guitarist barely did any of the famous Gilmour solos and did poorly on the ones he attempted, the singer's voice's volume was set way low as compared to the drums and the guitars, so it was very difficult to tell lyrics even for an ardent fan) - No female backing vocals (which in my opinion are an essential part of a lot of PF songs) - Nothing from the latest album (The Endless River) and nothing from the Syd Barrett era either - Us and Them was really crappy (the harmonic vocals were louder than the actual vocals and that made it sound like some completely different song) - Echoes was far away from the original track

Overall a good show. Muscianship was great! Sax player was fantastic! Was hoping to see a floating Pig, but that did not happen. Only played 1 song from Animals, which is my 2nd favorite Pink Floyd album. But the song they played was Sheep, which is my favorite song from that album, so that was cool. They played side 2 of DSOTM from start to finish, that was great! My favorite DSOTM song is Us and Them. Bass player rocked on One of These Days! They also played a couple early Sid Barrett era Pink Floyd songs and others from The Wall and Wish You Were Here. The show lasted about 2 hours and 15 minutes. Definately worth the $15 ticket price! Silver Creek Event Center is a great place to see a show! Out of all the shows I've seen, they always start on time and there has never been a warm up band. Straight to the Artists, which in my opinion is how it should be! Regards!

I have seen Pink Floyd, the Animals Tour, and the original Wall as well as Roger Water's recent re-invention of it. I have seen Australian Pink Floyd at the Hollywood Bowl (brilliant!) and a funky local, low-end Floyd in Santa Cruz (yawn) so I am well versed in Floyd renditions. This group ranks a short second to Australian Pink Floyd, even better than Waters' Wall reboot, which was great. If you like or love Pink Floyd's music, you must see this band. My girlfriend and I were skeptical, as I didn't find the videos on YouTube inspiring, but the whole evening was a total blast, with some serious high points that were far more stimulating than Pink Floyd themselves, and the reason is this: these guys LOVE this music, so much so that they have ALTERED it significantly, but most often for the better, and they play it with gusto and precision and power and are really IN IT so that you will be IN IT, too. And I have heard that Phil Collins once said, "I'd rather hear a B band with an A drummer." which is to say, the drummer is key to a group making it to "awesome" and this drummer was locked in, as Pink Floyd's music requires. In fact all the musicians were very first rate, and I am a rock musician myself so I do not say that lightly. The saxophone player, whom they fold into places that do not have sax in the original recordings, but always to the benefit of the song, never the detriment, was quite a special treat. Lastly, while I appreciate Roger Waters' work as a vocalist, he is not a strong vocalist, and for the first time this group has a singer who sings the songs truly much better than Waters does, and makes them far more musical by doing so. My congratulations to these dedicated gentlemen on a great performance, and I would be remiss to not mention the fantastic light and video show. There were moments I could do without the videos--the excessively long sheep video did not work for me or my girlfriend--and the requisite Money video was just so-so--but overall the show LOOKS great too, without trying to hard to exactly imitate a PF show. They, instead, made this a unique interpretation which at times exceeded the quality of the original music.

The musicians are extremely talented. the way to better enhance the group and the overall experience is to add at least 1, if not 2-3 female backup singers. Pink Floyd is the band they are because of that added talent.

If you are going to compare The Pink Floyd Experience to Australian Pink Floyd or the original band, Roger Waters, David Gilmore, you may be disappointed. But, if you go to this show and just take it in, you will enjoy it, because they will play tunes that I have not heard in years or even by the original band. They covered playing Dogs , Echoes , Have a Cigar , Shine on you Crazy Diamond, Pt 2 Pigs on the Wing Money Us and Them Eclipse . The show is awesome, just let it happens and take it all in.

Not bad, but I was a little bit peeved that they simplified the hard parts. For example, when playing Hey You or Echoes, the parts that were difficult to play (like the fingerpicking on Hey You) they chose to play it in modified ways that were easier for them to play. Also, I think the lighting was a bit overdone. Lastly, it ran surprisingly long. That's not necessarily a criticism -- a lot of bands actually can't play that long, so they're talented that they can play this long. I was just really tired by the end of it. So, in conclusion, it was a reasonably good concert, however it wasn't worth the 60 bucks I paid for it.
