Oh my goodness! Where to start? I have seen many shows and this was simply amazing. Almost immediately you feel the great, upbeat vibe from the cast and orchestra. I don't have any negative comments about this show. It was my first time seeing Spamalot and I was not let down. Perfect casting and directing! My boyfriend, friend, and I could not stop laughing... we're pretty sure we made a couple leave or change seats because we were laughing so hard. The songs were to die for! Diva's Lament, You Wont Succeed on Broadway, The Song That Goes Like This, and I'm All Alone were some of my favorites. And it was icing on the cake when the cast members came out and socialized after their performance even though they have been going and going and have barely had time to rest! We really appreciated that. Like I said, everything was great! All around was a great show, one of my favorites for sure. I hope I get to see the members of this cast and members of the orchestra again in the future because they are so very talented! If you don't go see this show, you are missing out on a lot of fun!

What a fun show! I was lucky enough to get FRONT ROW SEATS! But this is a smallish venue, so everywhere is good. But to get to see them up close and personal was wonderful. The singing and dancing were a hoot. I had a big smile on my face through the whole play. My boyfriend was not a Monty Python fan as I am, but he said he enjoyed the performance as well. That's saying alot, because you know how irreverant Monty Python can be! LMAO! I had heard from reviews and someone I know personally who saw it in Las Vegas how good it was, I am so glad I made the decision to get those tickets. But as I mentioned in the review title, SPAM was only mentioned ONCE!!!! ROTF!

This is a superb show! It was the 3rd time I saw it - absolutely love it! I have taken 2 friends and my sister to see it and they laughed their a** off! The show is really designed to make you laugh from beginning to end - from dancing nuns, flying cows, a killer bunny, cheerleading, needing a Jew to make a broadway show....and so on! A must see! Don't miss it!

The show was everything I expected from Monty Python. The costumes were outstanding, but the scenery was somewhat lacking. However, the energy and enthusium of the cast more than made up for the lack of scenery. If I had the opportunity, I would go see it again!

I'm not sure what made me laugh harder--the French knights or the "dead guy" who doubled as a prince who really was NOT looking for a princess. Not sure Carmen Miranda would have approved of the dramatic license taken with her hat, but it was hysterical.... The cast did well, especially working on a stage that is smaller, I'm sure, than they're accustomed to. The time flew, and I enjoyed every bit of this show. Well done!

If you love Monty Python, this is everything you'd hope for. It's their perfect combination of clever and silly. It stays true to the Search for the Holy Grail but is definitely its own creation. They even managed a topical "The rent is too dam high" reference just one day after the NY governors' debate.

Spam, Spam, Spam,Spam, Spamalot...it is one long hillarious injoke between author and Python alumni Eric Idle and Broadway director, MIke Nichols and the audiance...as if a reprise from the cult classic Monty Python and the Holy Grail the cast and crew managed to bring the film to live theatre sparing nothing and noone in the process...from the opening clucking coconuts to the Holy Grenade of Antioch author, director, and cast carriedd on Python skit after another into a very entertaining evening...I doubt that noone in the Warmer's ample arena left without laughing themselves silly...or I will taunt you ah nother time, silly English pigdogs...everyone must see Spamalot!

When I heard that Spamalot was coming to Ball State University, I immediately jumped at the opportunity to see it. After having seen it on Broadway with a few of the original cast members, I was completely blown away by the professional quality of the performance as well as the outstanding performers of the touring company. An absolutely delightful show!!!!

In summary a second rate production, at best. Let me be specific. The set was well done. Very few of the cast were actually "Good". The rest (Including Arthur) could not hold it together some of the time visibly and where in and out of character rest of the times. Some cast members simply forgot their lines all together. It was like watching a rehearsal sometimes. Act 1 was ok, Act 2 an entire waste of our time even for sitting orchestra center. The first time that we felt our money in Houston had gone to waste. Also this appears to be yet another overt and blatant patronage to our good friends the "members of the tribe". As one myself, I was embarrassed to be there. Such a shame to spoil a perfectly good plot with such nonsense of political and religious agenda.. Neither is welcome in theatre of this sort. Spring of 21013 Houston TUTs production. The last time this family will patronize such a place.

The show was performed very well and was really funny, I've owned the soundtrack for years so I knew most of the songs and had to consciously stop myself from singing along. The only detractor is that you can tell it was a play written eight years ago based on a movie that's almost 40 years old, some of the satire (particularly Lancelot's song) was out-dated and overdone.

This was an amazing show. Even better than I had hoped. I grew up watching Monty Python so was very familiar with some of the characters. It's sad the show is ending its run. I was surprised how many young children were there and believe the show was not appropriate for those under 14 years of age.

A delightful show that kept a smile on my face the whole time. If you are a Python fan, you will definitely enjoy the show. Although kids may also be entertained, there are several crude words and some crude gestures in the show. I thought the only weak point of the show was the dislays projected onto the clouds or castle doors were not that clear. Also, at one point, you could easily see one of the stage hands in a red shirt & slacks moving some of the set designs during the action. (I much preferred it instead when the stage help were actually dressed as a knight or monk instead.

Solid performance. I could tell that it was early in the run for the national theater, as there were a couple of awkward moments that will be smoothed over with practice, but all in all a solid show. I waited a long time to see this play and am so glad to have finally had the opportunity to see it. I laughed throughout the whole performance. Even though I have seen the " Monty Python and the Holy Grail" movie version many times and knew what to expect, the Broadway take on the various scenes and the character renditions were hilarious. Spamalot well deserved its Tony Award! The actors in the touring play did a wonderful job!

The musical performance and the set design was amazing. I really felt like I was watching HDTV it was so vibrant--even from the upper balcony seats we were in! You always know you have a hit when you feel like the show ended too quickly--I am sure we would have watched for hours more. Of note, I had seen Spamalot years before at the National Theater and I have to say that this production was better by far. I enjoyed it at National, but I think the lighting and set crew on this production put it over the top. Thanks team!

The performance was amusing but the Lady of the Lake character didn't have a consistently great voice and I felt bad every time she missed a note. Patsy was fantastic as was the lead King Arthur. Sorry I don't have my program with me to name names. Most of all though, I feel compelled to say that I was physically uncomfortable - I'd forgotten what the seating is like at the National, part of the reason I don't go there often. NO LEG ROOM whatsoever - so much so that I am still sore, 2 days later from the position I was forced to sit in. I'm not a big person either. Before the performance there was a small speech about the upcoming plans for the National Theater and I'm really hoping they include fixing the seating. Honestly, I don't think I'll ever go back if they don't!

After having seen this show in London and Dallas years go, I attended in the DC with 2 friends , one who had lived in London and another who saw it in Dallas.. This show seemed less Monty Python and more Disney. From someone who appreciates any live theatre, it was still not as entertaining as it should have been or could have been . The voices of the cast were the highlights... Not the comedic aspects.

A touring company presentation was never better. Fun, silly, and a touch of yiddish (hey - err, hay)! A great evening at a beautiful venue. I've always been a fan of Monty Python and the Holy Grail, it was great seeing the stage adaptation. Music, staging and acting were top notch. I liked the attempt to keep it current by referencing today's culture, although I think the older audience would have enjoyed it either way. We laughed the whole way through. good number of laugh-out-loud moments, mixed with some sly "quick hits" of wit ... to complete left-turns in plot & structure. Really good time, audience seemed transfixed. There were a couple times (esp. chorus numbers) where the sound/lyrics seemed a bit muddy and indistinguishable ..but not an overall distraction. Enjoyed Abigail Raye as Lady of the Lake; powerful voice that they playfully acknowledge, and weave her part throughout the plot. Some other really fun parts as well played by Glenn Giron and Joe Beuerlein. Recommend it.

Spamalot is a great stage show which has been around for a long time. However, this performance at the Majestic in San Antonio was distorted by a sound tech who must have thought that louder is better. Much as the movie theaters do these days. Actors were often drowned out by the music and some of the singing was so distorted it was difficult to understand the words. What was understood was as funny as ever and kudos to the cast for a great effort.

This is the fourth time I have seen the show (twice in NYC) and in this one the volume was too loud. Some friends left at intermission because of this. The loudness didn't help the clarity of the speakers. Hard to understand -so many jokes were lost. The "lady of the lake" was out of tune and just plain awful. She should be replaced. It's a good show- just not this production.

My family and I loved Spamalot. We had such a good time. It was too loud though even up in the MZ. Would recommend to anyone who loves to laugh.

Great show that entertained and always kept in touch with the audience. Color, music, wit and the folks on stage all seemed to be having a good ole time.

I missed Spamalot the first time they toured. I am so freakin' happy I was able to get to is this time around. If you are any kind of Monty Python fan, or if you just like irreverent humor, this show will make you laugh out loud. I had tears from laughing so hard. The show is amazing, the cast was great, and I recommend this to anyone who likes to laugh.

Enjoyed the show very much. Saw Spamalot a few years back in NY. Just as good a performance. Beautiful theater.

My husband and I laughed the whole show through. I highly reccomend this to anyone that needs a good laugh. We are still singing the songs 2 days later. They added all sorts of updated jokes on celebrities and lines reflecting the local culture of our city. A fabulous show.

Synthesized orchestra, terrible Lady of the Lake (obnoxiously out of tune with no sense of comedic timing), and speakers up painfully loud = we left at intermission. Even with everything going through an audio mixer, the balances were still bad, with the fake orchestra overpowering the weak singers often. I wish they could have run the Lady through Auto-tune, but that wouldn't have helped the acting. At $70+ a seat, this production was shockingly cheap. I would say it was like watching community theater, but I don't want to insult community theater. What a rip off.

Having seen this musical before I was excited to laugh and be entertained again. Unfortunately, this touring company phoned it in. Patsy seemed to be the only one enjoying himself. The "Diva" just didn't have the vocal range to carry the part. I noticed the audience was not laughing where they should have, but the jokes were falling flat. I felt badly for those who had not seen it before. Perhaps it was just a bad day for the cast.
