R. Kelly

Largely regarded as a founding father of contemporary R&B, 2013 saw R. Kelly branching out, crooning alongside Lady Gaga on her hit single "Do What U Want" and performing with rapper 2Chainz on "My Story," the lead single from Kelly's 12th studio album Black Panties. Captivating ticket buyers with his sultry hits and power ballads since 1991, Kelly is the author of delirious pop culture hits like "Trapped in the Closet," which evolved from radio single to full blown rap opera. Iconic tracks like "I Believe I Can Fly" and "Ignition (The Remix)" are his calling cards, but Kelly is also a prolific writer and producer -- he famously shepherded late songstress Aaliyah's debut album Age Ain't Nothing But a Number, and produced Michael Jackson's hit "You Are Not Alone.

Man i couldn't wait to see plies and R.kelly! I liked all the artist but PLIES AND R.KELLY were the reason i bought the tickets. I took pics and some video from my seat unti PLIES came out. I took off running towards the stage as if i was being chased by an axe murderer, LOL! Females were stepping on my toes and verbally fighting with each other, but i didn't care about none of that, my mission was to get some good footage (AND I DID) of "PLIES BABY" in action! He's a VERY GOOD performer...NOW ON TO R.KELLY WHO WAS THE REASON MY FEET WAS HURTING SO BAD AFTER THE CONCERT, LOL! I COULD HAVE WATCHED KEYSHIA COLE FROM MY SEAT BUT I CHOSE TO STAND IN MY STILLETTOS FOR THE REST OF THE CONCERT TO AVOID LOSING MY SPOT IN THE FRONT AND MISS OUT ON GETTING SOME EXCELLENT PICS AND VIDEO FOOTAGE !(AND I DID!) I DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO FEEL WHEN R.KELLY WALKED OUT ON STAGE. I'VE BEEN SUPPORTING AND LOVING R.KELLY THROUGH IT ALL SINCE BORN IN THE 90's! HE PERFORMED EVERY SONG I WANTED HIM TO! R. Kelly did a great job despite the Mic missing up and needing to be fixed several times. The show started at 8, but the opening act didn't come out till 9 so we sat an hour listening to the dj. The opening act June's Diary sounded really good (great voices). After they were done we waited another 30 minutes. R. Kelly didn't hit the stage till 10. He performed about an hour, for the price we paid I expected his performance to be longer. He sang a mix of songs, but most were fast songs. He only sung snipits of some of his classic songs. At times some big R. Kelly puppet would sing while he ran to the back to get his Mic fixed or get a drink.

R. Kelly is definitely a performer! This is obviously a concert that will cater to women, but I took my girlfriend (who had an amazing time), and I enjoyed myself. Great opening act in June's Diary. -Parking was the norm, for a concert (although the attendants working the garage only took cash, so I had to park and run to an ATM to pay) -Arena is directly across the street from the garage, so the stroll to the front gate was a breeze -Plenty of staff working the entry gates, so getting inside was also easy -The longest wait we had was to get our adult beverages -Our seats were amazing, especially for the price I expected an older, mature crowd and was not disappointed! No fights, or beef or arguing amongst anyone there. Everybody was two-steppin' and havin' a great time!

When R.Kelly came to Jacksonville FL on 3/11/2017 the show was suppose to start at 8 pm the show didn't start until 2 hours later. Everyone start yelling they wanted their money back because he only was on stage for like an hour and 30 minutes. He did not give a show. He had the same clothes on throughout the show and he just really make me unhappy. I spend go money to see him for the first time and when he did come I didn't even care anymore. I will not pay to see him again.

I have attended many concerts in this life but none quite like this. I was thoroughly impressed. R. Kelly literally has the voice of an angel. He sounds much better than his album, in person if that's even possible. He is a rare breed and I loved every minute of his show. From the moment he hit the stage he commanded attention and controlled the crowd like a hypnotist. I was thoroughly engaged, I was enlightened by his humbleness and I will forever be a fan of The Pied Piper.

I truly enjoyed myself and the workers were verryyyyy nice and helpful helping me find my seat. They actually took the time to walk me to it in the front row not just point as some venues will do. Very good show!!! R. Kelly always delivers when he comes to Detroit and this show was no different. He was engaged with the crowd and it seemed that he enjoyed entertaining us just has much as we enjoyed being entertained by him. R. Kelly loves his fans and it shows. He is one of the best live performers of there is. I would recommend his show to any "adult" who's looking to have a really fun night. My friends and I will be talking about this show for weeks to come.

I understand some people have their reservations about R. Kelly since his issues with the law but I still like his old songs. The event started at 8:30pm. I am fully aware that in these concerts, they have other performers until the main event....but to wait over 2 hours just to see him perform for almost an hour? Nah.

There are times when an artist should just be viewed on free videos or something and this was that moment for me. First of all, the crowd was hyped up during it entirety, but that is not enough for someone who'd wanted more singing than profiling and snippets of songs. The opening act came on stage at 8:40 PM, Radio host Mike Love did the minimum of hosting and when drunk R.Kelly finally arrived at 9:40 PM and defiantly stated that management had to throw him out because he was going to do all his hits, this performer apparently had an alarm in his back pocket because he abruptly ended the show at 11 PM. Really? Okay, so there was a real after party, my guest and I are "senior" music lovers and the club was not happening for us. The only other plus besides the "energy" of the crowd was the abundance of bouncing eye candy.

The camera man (which I'm sure wasn't on Kelly's payroll) was terrible. Overall, I would have liked a more professional show for the venue & the many years he has been in the game

The only man I can say sings just like the album and is an entertainer. The show didn't have a dull moment. The intro was spectacular. The R Bot and the three men in costume. I say I will never attend another show of his because I don't want to erase the memories I have from this one. This guy is the best ever and he do the show for everyone of all ages.

This was my second time seeing R. Kelly in concert, and this time it was a memorable experience because I actually got up to the stage!! He does not disappoint and he does an amazing show. I would love to see him in concert again. It's worth the money!!

This is probably around my 12th r kelly show. I even caught him and jay-z in Greensboro before the break up. The intro to the show was awesome. Best I've seen in a while but without the addition of honey love and slow dance he is performing the same songs over and over. People want to hear the tp2, chocolate factory, untitled album cuts, not the singles from those particular albums. Didn't even touch write me back or anything from the buffet albums. I probably will not attend another show u less he performs entire albums like Stevie wonder with the songs in the key of life performance. If you are a new r kelly fan you would love this show but being with him since public announcement and going to every tour he has done because of the genius he is, the trill of seeing him live is dying out for me. He still a musical genius and i love his music but please change your show for your diehard fans

The actual show was great but it was on color people time. Was scheduled to start at 8 he didn't start till 9:45pm. But when he did preform it was well worth the wait. Just make sure you take the next day off work.

Omg the concert itself although it started late it was worth every penny R-Kelly is a true fan pleaser and he put on an excellent show I was thoroughly satisfied !!!! The venue was adequate needed more air conditioning but otherwise nothing bad to say

Only one of a few hours that can perform for hours singing all of his own music!! He voice is amazing. Always gives you your moneys worth. We were sad when the show end after 2.5 hours. He still had tons more music he could have sang!! Look for yourself on screen when R Bot come out... cute idea!!

I LOVE ROBERT❤️️! It actually wasn't a Christmas concert per say , BUT it was still an EXCELLENT performance. He played the piano & sang some songs that he normally doesn't perform. He brought the house down with "When A Woman Loves!!" I will go see him EVERY time he has a concert.
