let me tell u, if u ever get the opportunity to see this mellifluous voice live jump at it no matter the cost. I live in nyc, but rep my philly heritage proudly and frequently. So when i found out she was in philly opening for maxwell last year I hit I95 like a nascar pro. Maxwell was good, but i forgot jill was opening cuz she blew the roof of the wells fargo center. I found out just this morn that she will be @ jones beach on the 28th and Im ready to cancel my plans. Luckily she will be at a few other places in close enough proximity for me to dust of my indy 500 gear and head back down I95. Sista jill i will see u again. Luv luv luv ur music.

Ok, So I would consider myself a HUGE JS fan. So you can imagine how skeptical I was when I found out she was at the SUPERDOME, playing in front of thousands of people. (i like JS in a more personal setting, more intimate if you will).. BUT, when I say she PUT ON A SHOW!! SHE PUT ON A GREAT SHOW! She had us (on the side, not in "VIP", INVOLVED).. Her male back up singers, kept us intertained as well. She covered, OLD Jill, sprinkled in the the new joints.. and had (at least our whole section... singing... CROWN ROYAL ON ICEEEEEEE).... JS is a TRUE SINGER, no gimmicks.. no extra lights, dancers, and costume changes needed... JUST SANGING, and making you feel at ease with her BEAUTIFUL SMILE!!! THANK YOU JILL for continuing with GREAT MUSIC.. If I can piece up some money for this event, IM GOING!!

My sister and I attended the Jill Scott/Maxwell concert at the Toyota Center and I loved every minute of it. I didn't leave my seat for anything because I didn't want to miss what was to come fourth and I'm glad I didn't. Miss Scott kept it grown and sexy, entertaining and it was worth every penny. PHENOMENAL-FANTASTIC-FABULOUS-SUPERB-SPECTACULAR - Can't think of enough adjectives to describe this woman and her voice!! I've loved Jill Scott from the first song I ever heard her sing, but the moment I saw her perform on an awards show w/an orchestra - I WAS BLOWN AWAY!!!! She can make an old song new everytime she performs it. When she sings she always sounds like she has a smile on her face. I saw her at Mohegan Sun CT w/Maxwell and she was "under the weather" - well if that was "under the weather" I can't imagine "on top of the weather!!".

I went to Maxwell's concert last spring where Jill was one of the "openers". When I tell you I was not even thinking about Maxwell after her interlude of melodic rifts, I am as serious as her voice is PuRe! She did most of her hits, AND performed tracks that I've never heard. I walked down the hall entering my bedroom to hear her sing.."sista gurl, you gon have to understand" and said to myself...this is my kinda girl! I've been a huge fan ever since! Phenomenal, excellent, extraordinary, unsurpassed, brilliant, superb, and unparallel! Need I go on? I saw Jill Scott at the Macys Music Fest in Ohio a few summers ago and have raved about the performance every since. There are some reviewers that gave her 1 star unfairly as their displeasure was actually with the venue and promotion team that had her on the bill as performing. Second, if you are a fan of her music, the show will not disappoint. Her voice is sublime; she is fun and interacts with the audience. Her voice is pure as gold! There are very performers that I will splurge for but Jill Scot, no matter how much the cost will always get my money. Definitely a 5/5 for performance and talent.

The Jill Scott/Maxwell show in St. Louis was worth every penny! I drove from Memphis to St. Louis and made a weekend of the event. The show started at EXACTLY 8 pm. Her show was amazing! She was energetic; her band was on point; and she sang all of the my favorites. I am constantly watching this site to see when and where she will be next. I cannot wait until her new album is released. I am an even bigger fan than before.

Saw her with Maxwell on the Black Summer's Night Tour at the Virginia Beach Ampitheater. I have no idea what happened at other shows to give her 3 stars, but she absolutely rocked it that night! It was hot and muggy, but she didn't hold back one bit. I almost forgot how uncomfortable it was outside until Maxwell came on & kept reminding me. That aside, I wasn't disappointed at all. Fantastic performer, truly amazing show!

I LOVE Jill Scott but feel as though I was duped into believing she would be performing. For the $90 "VIP" seats I paid I could have stayed at home and not driven almost two hours one way to a VERY unorganized event that started hours after the advertised time. I had the feeling this "club" had never had such an event take place at their facility. After waiting for hours in the overcrowded audience, I suffered through two local acts and then the very energetic Fuzz Band who at least got the audience on their feet (I think some even forgot how upset they were) Sometime after 11, Ms Scott arrived (looking marvelous) she didn't perform however, but instead proceeded to host an open mike night. No one saw that coming. She gave the audience snippets of her new album due out next year. All in all I don't blame Ms Scott for the horrific experience that this was. I just know not to EVER waste my time going to the Dream Southern Cuisine because in actuality, it is a nightmare!

I love Jill Scott but I was not under the impression that the event was an open mike Jam session with Jill Scott when I purchased the ticket. The club, Dream Southern Cuisine, mislead a lot of people into thinking Jill Scott was performing, which set off a negative tone from the beginning. Many people left highly upset including me! We also had to wait outside in the cooooold weather for over an hour to get into the place because they were so unorganized. I will gladly go to see Jill Scott perform again BUT on a bigger scale due to my experience.

This was my first and most likely my last time attending this venue. The show was scheduled to start @8pm. They didn't open the doors until 9pm. They admitted "General Admission" patrons before "VIP" (I was VIP). They were also still selling tickets at the door; even though the Fire Marshall was there saying they're over-sold. Case-and-point: some VIP's did not have a seat. After we were seated. I noticed the band (a local band) wasn't set up yet. Ms. Jill Scott didn't show up until 1130pm. Ms. Diva had about 15 people in her entourage. At 1145pm, she ordered some food and drinks. At 1224am, she hit the stage sounding nasally as all get out. i don't know if it was because of her stunner shades pinching her nose. Or if she got a nose job. Either way, the little she blew didn't sound good. Then she proceeded to bring up folks out of the crowd to sing. Don't get me wrong. They were good. But by that time, I was so tired. We left at ~1am.

The club was very unorganized. The doors didn't open until 8pm. After we fought our way in we waited another 2 1/2 hours before the first performance, nothing was setup for the bands, the VIP section was over booked, the only thing that made VIP was we had a table, there was only one waitress on duty and we received NO service, the sound was terrible, Fuzz Band was really good, could have done without the 1st two opening acts, WAY over priced ($105) for just a "jam session", Jill Scott performed 1 song and MC'd the rest of the time. This was a very poorly organized and overpriced event for what many people paid. If I could get my money back I would. I will NEVER attend another event at this venue.

I would have love to see them at a different venue as the ecoustics in the United Center were horrible. I love them both but the venue was not the best. You could not understand the words of the music as the instruments were too loud. If you didn't know the song then that night you still wouldn't know the song. Next time production could do a better sound check as the tickets weren't cheap. Still love Maxwell and Jill just the same

Jill Scott is truly one of the greats. Her live instrument - her vocal cords are amazing! Homegirl performed the entire show. If you haven t seen her live you definitely should. Additionally, she has so much to offer. In this show she brought so many different types of music, such as Latin Salsa, African drums, and American Jazz only to name a few. It was such a great show I had to see it twice (in Atlanta and then in Kansas City) and it all remained new and exciting for me. (In Kansas City, the concert took place at the Starlight Theater, which allowed for a more intimate setting.) Hands down a great show - She'll be touring the Maxwell this spring and summer - Go check her out - you won t regret it! :-)

Jill is an amazing artist and her unlimited vocal skills were on display for this show. However this show did not have the usual up vibe or energy as previous shows I ve attended. Instead it was a slower more reflective pace that drug us all in to the sadness and remorse she is dealing with over the ending of her marriage. I will go see her again and I hope by then she will be feeling better and will bring a show that truly has more energy and party feel.

This was the homegrown concert with Bilal, Boyz 2 Men, Jill Scott, and DJ Jazzy Jeff. The concert was AWESOME! The only complaint that I had was with the sound (microphones) for Bilal were not working. I could barely hear him from Row C Right side of stage.

If you haven't had the experience, do yourself a favor. The sound quality, the stage and seating seems to work out. If you just want to layout and chill on the lawn that is an option. The staff are personable and thoughtful, this venue is a great asset to fairmount park and West Philly.

This was the best event I have ever attended. I did not know who Jeff Bradshaw was prior to attending the event. I traveled from Charlotte, NC to attend. The love displayed by all of the amazing artists. Many I knew and became instant fans on the new introductions for example, Chelsey Green an amazing violinist. Everything from the start to the end was everything you'd want in a performance. No lip syncing at all. Everything is live. Show started with GeorgiaMe, the comedian/poet, and then went in to the main event with Jill. She truly is talented. You'd almost think you were sitting in the studio with her. Miss Jill Scott really gave us a show that was well worth the money. She was electric, her backup singers were electric and the band rounded things off. I can only hope she returns again one day to bless us with another electrifying performance.

This is a wonderful show!! A must see! The entire set was great and her band was great during their solo session. An attendee asked his girlfriend to marry him during the show! Love was in the air.

Columbia has been waiting for Jill to get here and she didn't disappoint. Georgia Me started us on time for a half an hour. Then without delay Ms . Scott stood on on her feet for over 2 hours and ROCKED THE TOWNSHIP! !! If she gets close enough to you make sure you are in the building. Fair warning Jill is for grown folks! :-)

Jill Scott's performance was amazing!!! Jilly from Philly can definitely put on a show ladies and gentlemen. Everything about her is beautiful. Oh my goodness, her voice....when I tell you she can sang...SHE CAN SANG!!! And I can't forget her band mates and background vocals. Everyone was just amazing, and I will definitely be going to her concerts in the future! Even though Common couldn't make it, I really did enjoy the other young lady who recited her poetry. She's very talented as well. Thank you all so much for the wonderful time that my mom and I had.

We recently saw Jill last week for our 8th wedding anniversary and it was the perfect way to spend our day. Her show is awesome & her voice is beautiful as well as her personality & spirit. We saw her in December & last week 8/16/16 and both shows were dope!
