Pam Tillis

PAM TILLIS IN CONCERT:Grammy-winning country singer-songwriter Pam Tillis is Nashville born and bred, and her heritage is on full display at her live shows. Tillis boasts an impressive pedigree – her father is famed country singer Mel Tillis, and her boot-stomping performances, exuding plenty of downhome pride and tradition, are the next best thing to a trip to Music City. Taking the stage with an acoustic guitar, Tillis wrings every last drop of emotion from finely crafted cuts like "Maybe It Was Memphis" and "Shake the Sugar Tree." Meanwhile her band whips up a high-energy mix of slide guitar, violin, bass, and drums that perfectly complements her relaxed vocals and unhurried delivery.

The show was Great! Pam sang all her hits. The people were on the dance floor. She got the crowd going. It was a fun night. You left like you were on a Pam Tillis High. She needs to tour more and make more cds. Loved her!

Gracie theater was a great venue. Pam Tillis has an amazing, beautiful voice. She is a very sweet lady that took the time after the show to sign autographs and pose for pictures until the very last person got there picture and autograph. Not many artists out there that will do that anymore. I loved the whole show!!

The talent was great, the seating and overall theater is very poor, the show was much too short, 45 minutes including introductions.

Music was great! Only complaint was that the show was supposed to start at 7 PM, it started late and then was over by 8 PM. They played and sang for less than an hour, we felt a little cheated for the money spent.

Pam was great. I have always wanted to see her perform. There was one technical glitch. A few times there was quite a bit of what I guess you would call feedback. That squealing noise. But, they got it corrected fairly quickly. That is the only thing that kept me from giving her 5 stars. She graciously signed autographs after the show.

It was a really great show for being just the 3 of them they sounded amazing, She is just a great performer & also she gets the audience involved as well, I do hope that she will come back to New Mexico again. We drove 2 1/2 hours to go see her & she was well worth the drive. Thank you for bringing her back it has been about 4 years since we also saw her at the Okay Casino.

Pam Tillis was great, all my favorite songs. Her style to talk about her music and life growing up with her dad Mel Tillis and his dreams for her and her willingness to accept the talent for Country Music and find her own unique talents. The venue was very comfortable and our seats were great. I would love to see her next time she visits the Seattle area.

When Miss Tillis comes on the stage you know you are about to be entertained by an extremely talented gal. She makes you feel like you would like to listen to her all night. Her personality is so genuine that you feel like you have known her all of your life. Her lyrics are positive and no one would ever be offended by her sterling performance. She is tops!

I have always loved Pam Tillis and her amazing talent. She is so genuine and real. You can tell that she sings with her heart - real feelings. Her voice is so perfect and angelic. We thoroughly enjoyed her show. There's no false anything about her. She continually engaged the audience and I love that she shared stories of her life and her father's life. Very very entertaining. I have never been a country fan and had never heard of Pam Tillis until I read her bio. She is a gifted entertainer and knows how to work a crowd. Each member of her backup band had their own talents and she had no problem sharing the stage with them and letting them showcase those talents. After the show she sat at a table and signed autographs and talked with each and every one who stopped by, whether you bought one of her CD's or not. We bought her new CD and we listen to it in the car quite often and it brings back the memory of a truly enjoyable evening We will be back for her next concert.

Pam Tillis and Lorrie Morgan appeared at the Snoqualmie Casino on May 21. They performed some of their own tunes, a couple of their dad's tunes, some favorites and even came up with a couple Beatles numbers as an encore! They were warm and engaging, and made the evening fun. Their group of back up musicians were exceptional - those harmonies were wonderful, and Pam and Lorrie stayed around to sign autographs. I wish that the concert had been longer, say about 8 hours or so. Oh well, one can dream.

Pam Tillis is a class act and sounds amazing!!! She sounds as good or better than she did in her early career. She was classy and sweet the entire evening. Lorrie Morgan sounds great as well. She sounded better than even her current cd!! Her voice was strong and had that smoky quality that is vintage Lorrie Morgan. They were both on stage the entire time and sang back up for each other which was fun. It did seem more oriented towards Lorrie though. Pam really only got to sing a few of her big hits. I would almost have preferred it to be just Pam Tillis, she has so many amazing songs and her voice is pure gold!!! I will definitely see her again if I have the chance. My biggest complaint was in regard to the venue, it was at a casino and the smoke was disgusting. I will never return to the Snoqualmie Casino for another concert. The Snoqualmie Casino is the smokiest casino I have ever been in. By the end of the show I had a headache and I couldn't breathe through my nose. Also to get to the casino from the parking garage there are only 3 elevators which are always full. It literally took 30 minutes to get from the parking garage to the casino ballroom. Other than that two big thumbs up!!!!

I thought they put on a good show,Song choices was good! I wish they would have got up and moved around some for the people sitting off to the side. I didnt think our seats was good . We could only see Pam since thats the side we were sitting on and would have like to have been able to see Lorrie too! You would think when you purchase tickets you would get better seats then people that get them for free, But thats NOT how it works. I stood for almost an hour watching Lorrie and Pam sign autographs after the show. Standing at the front of the line, Pam graciously accepted my autograph request, even though Security said I had to go to the back of the line. Lorrie seemed to get more attention from the fans, which left Pam alone a lot. Pam is so, so worthy of any and all of the attention she can get! What a talented and attractive lady! Lumiere was the perfect setting-large enough, yet small enough to be an intimate setting. Lorrie and Pam together were amazing. Their voices blended so well together. Them singing together and singing each other's songs together was more than what I expected. I would love to see them put out an album together. I loved their choice of songs from each one's career, the fact that each played the guitar and backed each other up. I hope they come back to St. Louis soon.

We love Pam Tillis and Lorrie Morgan. It was disappointing to find out the they both were on stage together for a total of 1 hour. Both singers have had several great hits. Pam and Lorrie were very friendly and personable. My husband and I really enjoyed their performance. We just wished it lasted longer!! Lorrie didn't sing my favorite song, "What part of NO don't you understand?". Even though she said we could request songs, there really was no time when we could do that. I REALLY enjoyed sitting on the second row and getting to be so up close and personal with them. (Their eye glitter really stood out!!) They are both great singers. Enjoyed the pathos in the songs.

These two legends of country music hail from legendary families of their own. Both were mainstays on the charts back in the 1990s and early 2000s, however, since then they have failed to maintain their mega success. Call it a changing of the guards, if you will. Along with several other acts from that powerful decade, they just cannot compete in the current marketplace, so they are regulated to playing small intimate theatres and casinso. If they knew this was in their future, I think they would shudder at that. With all that being said, the Gritz and Glamour tour as Pam Tillis declared it was a nice change up in a traditional concert ticket. Merging these two talents seems odd at first, but the small space, the acoustic theme was right up their alley. Singing back and forth verses on the first song and then each artist singing a hit of their past the show moved rapidly. The banter between the both and the humor they projected was a nice reminder of how down to earth country singers really are! Lorrie sang back up on quite a bit of Pam's songs, while Pam just kind of sat there and looked at her feet during Lorrie's numbers. A stand out was when Pam sang a verse of Something in Red which brought the audience to their feet! They ended the show with a rousing gospel number and then they were off to rest before the next show. 60 minutes, short, sweet and left you wanting more. They both sounded great! Pam in fact had never sounded better! Lorrie's voice, as always, shows off the years and and wisdom her life has given her. I wish they would have sang newer songs from their newest albums (Lorrie claimed I Walk Alone was new, but since it was recorded a few years back, I did not count it), but I know they had to perform to what the audience would want to hear. I can just imagine that Pam is sick of singing Mi Vida Loca!

I'm a huge fan of Pam Tillis and have loved the previous 3 concerts of hers that I have been to. This one, not so much. The show started at 8pm, and the opening act did about 4 songs, and it was ok. Then there was at least 45 minutes before Pam and Lorrie came on stage. This may have been the fault of the casino venue, gave them more time to sell drinks maybe, I don't know. But the show was very short and I left feeling disappointed. I probably won't go to another casino concert, too many stupid drunks in the audience! But I am still a huge fan of Pam's!

I had assumed that Lorrie and Pam would perform separately, so was surprised that they sang together. Surprised but not far from disappointed. These two ladies really delivered. Their voices worked wonderfully together and with the other vocalist in the group. It was very refreshing to go to a concert that highlighted the vocals and kept the instruments in the background where they belong. There are just too many acts out there that hide mediocre voices by blaring away on the guitars and drums. That's not to say there weren't some excellent instrumental opportunities. In particular I enjoyed the strings, but then again I just love a good fiddle piece. All in all we had a wonderful night and would recommend it to any of our friends.
