Debbie's show was warm and entertaining and funny. She is an amazing woman. She Looked beautiful and youthful. It hard to believe that she is going to be 80 in a few weeks. She gives hope to all of us. We waited in the cold near her car after the show. When she came out, she was gracious and visited with us and posed for photos. What a wonderful person!!! I can't wait to see her again.

The 'Evening with Debbie Reynolds' was AWESOME. She's 78 and still sings like she did 40+ years ago. No dancing but she did play video clips of musicals including from when she was in 'Singing In The Rain' with Gene Kelly & Donald O'Connor. She sang along with them and also with Frank Sinatra on another clip. During her career, she bought alot of movie memorbilia and showed outtakes during her dressing change. Hilarious! She even bragged about being 'Princess Leia's mother!' (Remember Carrie Fisher from Star Wars!) She told basically an autobiography and included neat stories about Judy Garland (her best friend), Cary Grant, Gary Cooper, Marilyn Monroe and Jimmy Stewart. Also, of her ex-husbands! Very funny! She did alot of interacting with the crowd and really good impersonations of Barbra Streisand (see pic), Mae West, Betty Davis and others. Really had everyone laughing. Naturally, she closed by singing 'Tammy' which was the #1 song in the U.S. for 1957. She had a piano player and a drummer who have been with her for 25 and 35 years, respectively. She's been doing casino & lounge shows for 40 years. We didn't realize that she was such an impersonator & comedian! She allowed picture taking and would pose when she saw a camera on her! We definitely would see her again! She's right up there!

I spent money to take my mother and father and husband to this show, and I felt like I wasted my money. She would start to sing a song and then say "that's enough." We payed good money to hear some songs all the way through. I've never seen a performer do this. She did it over and over. She's just tired of singing those songs. She was a tired lady, and she should have retired! She couldn't even bother to wear shoes to match her red outfit! She was unprofessional when she talked to the audience. One or two age jokes would have been enough. And when her daughter came on at the end, dressed like she just hopped out of bed on a Saturday...just looked bad. I was expecting a lot more. I would definitely NOT recommend this to a friend. Debbie needs to quit doing shows.

I have not missed one of Debbie's performances. She always puts on an outstanding show. Unlike many of the performers today, Debbie can do it all - sing, dance, act, tell stories and jokes (without being crude or offensive). I always come away from her shows with a smile on my face.

I CAN'T REMEMBER THE LAST TIME I LAUGHED OUT LOUD SO MUCH! I AM ONLY 45 AND WAS SO SURPRIZED AT HOW FUNNY DEBBIE REYNOLDS WAS IN PERSON. HER VOICE IS STILL PRETTY AND I REALLY ENJOYED HER PERSONAL ANECDOTES. I ALSO NEVER KNEW HOW YOUNG SHE WAS WHEN SHE STARTED MAKING MOVIES OR HOW WELL SHE DANCED. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A GOOD TIME WITH A CLASSY LADY!

As usual the legendary Debbie Reynolds was welcoming, classy and delightful! Appearing for umpteenth year in a row at Drury Lane in Oak Brook, IL Debbie made everyone feel like one of the gals (or guys). She acknowledged all the variety of ages that were in attendance and kept us entertained with songs, jokes, old stories of the Hollywood of yesteryear, movie bloopers of some of the great starts of all time (Jimmy Stewart, Ronald Reagan, Fred MacMurrary and James Cagney) and even went into some impressions. Her singing voice is beautiful, her legs (shown off in the first half of the show with a slit long skirt) are to die for and her personality is enviable. I'm in my mid-forties and know her primarily from recent moves and Will & Grace. This is my 5th time in a row to see her (I never thought of myself as a groupie until now!) and I can't wait to take my 16 year old niece next year!

My husband and I brought our mothers, ages 91 & 92, to see Debbie. This is the third time we have seen her. She sings, (she still has a lovely voice), she jokes around, and talks about the movies. She tells the audience she is 77. But you won't believe she's that age with the way she moves around the stage.

I am posting this review on behalf of my parents who just saw her last night. They couldnt say enough - they said she sounded wonderful, she was full of personality, was very friendly - coming down into the audience and talking to people, taking requests for songs, my mom said it is the best show she has ever seen. She was a bit leery when I first got the tix for them because of Ms. Reynolds age, but she said you would never know. They cant wait to see if she comes back again next year. : ) The show lasted a bit over 2 hours with a 10 minute or so break. Also, A man who had seen her perform during the war 50 years ago - She put the spotlight on him and came out and gave him and his war buddy a huge hug and kiss.

She's 82 years of age; sings pretty good for that age. You can tell her balance is slightly off. Otherwise I think she would have been dancing. But all in all, I enjoyed the show and give her credit for being out there. Personally I would have normally been home in bed at that time of the night and especially due to the rain.

She was so energetic when she was young. It was great to see her, but she has lost her zip and zing. Her jokes were old, her historic films brought back wonderful memories, the second half appeared as though she just wore out. She should probably stop performing although it was a packed house.

If you have not seen Debbie you should! She was great! She will sing her heart out to you! She's funny too! She brings some clips of her movies she has in. We had a nice treat too, Carrie Fisher was there and Debbie brought her up on the stage to sing a duet with Tammy and Carrie also sang a solo song by herself. This was a great show. This is my second time seeing Debbie and I would see her again. She is truly a great performer.

I look forward to her next appearance in Atlantic City. Let me know when she will be appearing. I am a great fan of hers. I have seen all of her movies and read her two books.

We enjoyed the show very much. Some people seemed to expect her to tap dance around the stage as though she were still 16, and sing many whole songs. I expected she would have a singer and band that would do most of the show, while Debbie herself did a few songs to a recording, like lip-synching. So, I was pleasantly surprised at how much she did sing and talk about her career. The slide shows were good also, with her narration. I was glad to see her standing on her own for so long. As a really big star, I think she has earned much more respect than she was shown. Quite a few people began leaving before she even began her last and biggest song - Tammy. Rude! The young man who performed star immitations during her break and costume change, named Stephen, made a few comments about audience participation. His audience didn't clap and scream loud enough for him. However, many of them could have broken bones if they had clapped loudly! Most were in their 70's and 80's. They don't have the breath to yell, either. Stephen did perform many immitations very well, but especially the first one was extremely loud. The seating was very comfortable, and temperature also. The hostesses were very helpful and sweet.

Drury Lane shouldn't charge professional prices ($50 tickets) for a less than professional show. Drury Lane has a responsibility to its patrons to offer quality shows. Ms. Reynolds' voice is totally gone. She could barely walk around the stage. I think she ended the second half of the show early.

The show was funny but you can tell she is starting to slowly forget things. Thank god her band director kept her going when she forgot things. I especially liked this show. When I was young Debbie Reynolds was my idol. She was featured in many magazines with Eddie Fisher. I saw all her movies. Her personality is terrific. She has such a great repartee with her piano man. Her jokes are so funny. "Her headlights in San Diego."The videos as a part of the show were nostalgic for me. I loved it. That completed the whole show for me. She shared her life with us in an intimate way.

Entertainers come and go, sometimes overnight. For Debbie Reynolds, there is no end in sight. She bubbles with personality, style and charm. She wears her age gracefully with a glorious smile and eternal sparkle in her eyes. She is funny, aware of who she has become and most important, she respects her audience. When the perfomance ended, she moved down the stage from beginning to end and thanked all of the people for coming, shaking hands and graciously allowed pictures. When was the last time you left a performance with a smile on your face and memories of time not so long ago when we ALL respected each other?

Few performers can do a one-person variety show. The incomparable Debbie delights: a few jokes just naughty enough to be cute coming from her, good impressions of other celebrities, songs running the gamit from country to rap (you read that right and, again, Debbie pulls it off), best clips from her 6-decade musicals career. Even some fun comments about Liz and Eddie--tongue in cheek with a touch of the class act that she is. She's a total delight to all ages. If I could only see one live show in a decade, I'd pick her--and I'm relatively young. Get a close seat and watch for what she says about her earrings.

If you want to see one of the few remaining REAL movie stars, go see Debbie Reynolds. She looks FANTASTIC for 80 years old!!( I was in Row 6 so got a very good view with binoculars). She was very funny and her voice was good. I only wish she would have talked a little more about the stars she worked with over the years, especially Liz Taylor. All in all, I would give the show a B. She is a pro, that's for sure. .

The irrepressible, 80-year-young, Debbie is still rolling us in the aisles with her wit, comedy banter and singing that still is strong and vibrant! What is her secret? Positive thinking has to be one of the elements and a "zest" for living that never stops. She told us that she never knows for sure "what" she is going to do or say...she has a wealth of material up her show-biz sleeve that could entertain us for days! If you've never seen her...please go...you will come away feeling GREAT!

I have seen Debbie perform on stage several times and she seems to get better with age! She was absolutely spectacular! I am so happy to see her doing well and loving it still! Great pictures and memories she had of days gone by and the greatness of the real Hollywood Stars! She was one the youngest and one of the last stars to be contracted with MGM. I was friends, with friends of Debbie, Howard and Gail Stickland, and my parents and I got to see her perform many years ago. She still has all the qualities that made her a star and great performormer! You still got it girl! You always will! And Happy belated 80th birthday!

Ms. Reynolds is an American icon. Simply stated, she both embodies and represents what "old Hollywood" was about. Talent, personality, beauty, and charisma. There is nothing "old" about her though, as she puts on an energetic, personal and endearing act. Her humor and voice stand out in a show that includes private moments, hollywood inside information, movie clips and bloopers as well as insights on todays state of affairs. As two of the few non-retirees in attendance, we found her to be charming and accessible in a way that few if any current "stars" would ever be, and we couldn't have a enjoyed ourselves more. To be that close to a legend and see how a true professional does it, is a memory and experience that we wont soon forget. Thank you Debbie.

Heard that unmistakable Dick Cavett voice and felt I was back in time with his funny and charming way of getting into the heart of things. Debbie Reynolds is adorable, funny, and can do impersonations--who knew that! Carrie Fisher was her irreverent, funny self and fun to see she and "mom" play off of each other. We loved the evening--it went by too fast!

This event had so much potential, but fell as flat as any event I've ever seen. Dick Cavett seemed much more interested in his own insights and outdated wit than he was in his two guests. Carrie Fisher couldn't have uttered 20 words in the 90-minute (or less) "interview." Cavett would ask a question, which would prompt his own answer that meandered aimlessly. Occasionally Debbie Reynolds would try to pump some life into the time, but she seemed to be the only one interested in having a good time. This had so much promise -- Fisher, Reynolds and Cavett really are legends. But they had no chemistry, had no purpose for being there, and seemed clueless as to why they were together on stage. Next time, I would rather see the actual event rather than the rehearsal. What a waste of money.

She can't be 78 even though that's what she claims. She has so much energy, wit, charm, vivacity that the sold-out audience was exhausted just watching her. Every minute of this show is packed and well-paced: while waiting for her entrance, there is a slide-show of her life and "intermission" is a "blooper" reel of all the top stars of the day. She also shows highlights from her own films, and, endearingly, sings along as they roll. She is truly a timeless, amazing performer. P.S. If anyone found a bracelet I lost while there, please let me know. (Although factoring in the price of the bracelet with the price of the ticket, the show was still a great deat.)

Despite the difficulty in finding the venue(The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano), Debbie Reynolds was well worth the effort . We had seen Debbie perform in Las Vegas in November and really enjoyed her show. This show was not a repeat and the smaller venue made for a more informal feel. We had seats very close to the stage, which delighted my husband. He had worked with Debbie Reynolds on an early movie, "I Love Melvin" and thought she was a very nice person then. She conversed with audience members throught the show and proved she was still the same friendly gal of the 1953 film. We probably will not go back to the same venue again, but we would see Debbie Reynolds elsewhere.

This was the greatest show ever. Debbie really knows her audience. She has more energy than some half her age and never hesitates to amaze me. She asked the audience if there was anyone under 50 there. Then she asked "who brought you", indicating that if you were under 50 you wouldn't know who she was. I had to laugh, because I had brought my son (age 37) and when I asked him if he would like to go he said, "wouldn't you rather take someone who knows who she is?" I have been a fan since I was a young girl and Debbie has never disappointed me. I would go see her again and again, whenever she is in town.

You very quickly forget Debbie's age, save for all the jokes she throws out about it. She is a bundle of energy, and her voice is still strong. It was a wonderful show for a smaller venue, where she could spend a good deal of time interacting with the audience. Her voice has lost a bit of its original range, but she can still belt out a tune with clear tones. The range of music was wonderful ... from her old favorites, to country and a tribute to Judy Garland. Her famously warm and engaging personality shone through. Truly a delightful evening, whether you know her from "Singin' In the Rain" or "Will and Grace".

We saw the Debbie Reynolds show my wife and I she is a great fan since she was young. It was a little hard to see with a big fellow in front of us and being the last row in the show. She kept thanking the people for coming and she still has a great voice. She hasn't changed in the many years that we have enjoyed her. We plan on coming back to the Hotel and staying again. The seats we very nice we were not to tight. The hotel needs a better auditorium where you can see the Performers. But we can't have everything. I know you need to make the room useful for all kinds of events. I hope that she comes back again. We will come and see other performers and enjoy the Hotel. Very nice place. Thank You

I was a fan of Debbies in during he prime so I didn't know what to expect of her at 78 years old. I was surprised at her energy and and singing. She told jokes, her timing was excellent. Her gowns were beautiful. I give Debbie all due credit for putting on an exciting and memorable performance. My only criticism is that I wished she sang the song Tammy the way she sang it in the movie. The arrangement was different. I wish her all the luck in her continued career.

Ms. Reynolds is soo much fun! She is a true performer and as such put on a "Show".She sang, she danced, she did stand-up and her impersonations are all on the money! She made me tired just watching her. I haven't laughed so much and enjoyed an evening with family in years! My mother (60), my niece (13) and myself (37) really enjoyed the evening. If she comes again we are going and bringing a party with us!

The show was great. Much more than expected. The songs and a little comedy were expected, the impersonations were a bonus. She is so great at them. I truly loved the one of Katherine Hepburn. I was also great to hear stories of the glory days. Would attend again.

UNSINKABLE
THE MOST ENJOYABLE SHOW I HAVE SEEN IN SOME TIME, DEBBIE REYNOLDS, PLAYS TO AND FOR HER FANS. DEBBIE REYNOLDS, IS QUITE A SHOWPERSON, NOT ONLY IS SHE A BEAUTIFUL AND CLASSY MOVIE STAR, SHE IS A VERY FUNNY COMEDIAN AS WELL AND CAN IMPERSONATE SINGERS FROM WILLIE NELSON TO BARBRA STREISAND. WE ARE VERY FORTUNATE THAT SHE STILL ENJOYS PERFORMING. WE TRAVELED 1400 MILES TO SEE HER SHOW AT THE HARD ROCK AND I WOULD DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN.

I had no idea she included comedy in her act. She is hilarious. Her voice is fabulous. My sister and I were so impressed and thoroughly enjoyed the show. I hope she will be returning to this area soon.
