I was pleasantly surprised at how Big Audio Dynamite was. The boy proved they still got it. The only bummer was that they didn't play The Globe and a few other of their "hits". All in all, it really was a great show however.

Even though the songs and lyrics of Big Audio Dynamite would be enough reason to see them, the fact is they bring it live. And bring it passionately. Mick Jones' time in the Clash is obviously something that influences his live ethic. For those in the crowd content merely tripping down memory lane, it was a good deal more.

This concert was incredible. I have been a fan since 1985, and bought "This is BAD" on cassette. I last saw Mick Jones and BAD II live in 1992. I actually he is getting better. His voice, guitar work, and energy were electric. Don Letts and Leo "EZ Kill" were awesome too. Expect to hear a lot from the first two albums.

The performance was smashing; great live presentation, high energy, good maintenance of the 'produced' elements of B.A.D. (i.e., sampling etc.) without detracting from a good live delivery. The sound in the Electric factory was rather poor- way too much low end in the mix, and some of the sharp guitar was mushed, especially up close to the stage. Otherwise, fabulous.

BAD sounded great. Mick Jones is a legend. He sounded as good as ever. He seemed to be enjoying himself on stage. They played everything I wanted to hear. Great Show!

BAD exceeded all expectations. The band looked great. The sound was fabulous. Everything was crisp and clear. The energy in the house continued to build throughout the entire show. I had not yet attended a show at the Boston House of Blues and I was impressed with the venue. It was clean, well staffed, and the view of the stage was fantastic.

B.A.D. rocked the house. They played all the hits you'd expect with their original lineup. HR was pretty much a joke.

The audio was off and it was clear that the band had not played together much lately. A crowd pleaser would have been to place a couple of Clash songs in the set.

Cool show. Some slow moments, but all in all well done and a great time. Encores were certainly the highlight, especially a rocked-up version of E=MC squared. BAD and C'mon every beat box were also highlights. Fun to see BAD. Never saw them in the 80s, so this was a chance to see someone I missed and also expose my 10 year old son to them as he liked a greatest hit CD we have. He also had a great time and thought it was a cool show.

The band put on a good show but the sound, especially at the beginning of the show, was terrible. We were standing just to the right of the board so it wasn t due to our location. We enjoyed ourselves despite the crappy quality of the audio. I hope they hit the NY area again if the decide to return to the US

Having been a fan of Big Audio Dynamite since my teens, I was exited to see these guys for the first time and while they looked an sounded great, I still left disappointed. Why? Allowe me a moment to pontificate... When it comes to B.A.D. I went from "like" to "LOVE" back in 1989 after the release of "Megatop Phoenix". "Union Jack", "Contact", "Rewind" "James Brown", this album took the band to the next level and me along with them. "Megatop" was followed up with "The Globe", "Higher Power" and "F-Punk". All great albums and represents a decade of great music from the 1990's ("Megatop" was released in late '89). Why was i disappointed? Because if you came to this show, you wouldn't know that B.A.D. put anything out past 1988. The entire show consisted of songs from their first three albums and pretty much ignored everything after 1988 (except for "Rewind" and a lame encore of "Rush" from "The Globe"). If you buy tickets and hope to hear "Union Jack", "Contact", "James Brown" "The Globe", "Can't Wait", "Free", "Harrow Road", "I Turned Out a Punk", "Innocent Child", "Looking for a Song" and others forget it. And God forbid you might do a Clash tune for the encore. The set was good and I heard a lot of great classic B.A.D. tunes, but all in all I'd give this show 2 1/2 out of 5 stars. For $80, you should get longer than 75 minutes and a sampling of their entire body of work not just three years worth. I won't pay to see them again unless I know the set list first.

Being a hugh fan of the Clash I was confused by Mick Jones musical direction once he "left" the Clash and never got into B.A.D. preferring instead Joe Strummer's work. I blew it. Based on this show they are The Magnificent Five. Excellent show. A good mixture of hits and misses. Don Letts must hold the record for longest dreads! Loved every minuet of it.

A great bunch of real showmen. I've always been in love with the greatest hits CD - "Planet Bad", which they basically covered. The numbers I was not familiar with were just as great. You go to see them in full party mode and you're not disappointed. I never saw them in their heyday, so imagine how I reacted when I learned of their reunion tour. Tickets were ordered right away, and everyone leaves with a great natural high. If they were up to it, a revisit would be well received and well attended - C'mon Every Beatbox!

Twenty plus years on and Mick Jones brought us right back to the post Clash years again. Drawing on what he believed in and gathering this diverse group to send out his message. Still felt this was a sort of homecoming, thinking about Bond 45 and how earlier that day Mick took a look down the block to see what had become of a place that will forever be synonymous with The Clash. None of us thought we would see BAD live again. Topping the most unlikely to happen lists. Having all 5 original members regardless if they weren't so tight or a had stop/start made you realize you were witnessing something special. Mick and Don were so charged to be there. The band was full of energy and you can tell Mick was talking like we were old friends. After all, he's had our attention for about 35 years.

This show was a major disappointment. We paid top dollar for "VIP" tickets that were supposed to be "side stage." However, all it was was an overcrowded platform off to the side of the main standing area. All the "VIPs" were actually farther away from those that bought General Admission tickets - even though we paid around $100 more for the suposed tickets! Also, the lack of an opening band was a joke! This was a total rip-off!!!!

When I was the DJ at the 82 Club and Avenue One in Manhattan in the eighties I made a point of promoting BAD as the band of the future. The future is now and BAD is still as relevant as ever. Having seen the band often back in the day I can say that they have lost nothing in the passing years as far as the music goes. I would have liked to have heard some new music in addition to the original material but I cannot complain about the song selection.

The original lineup, an excellent sampling of the best of BAD mark I, closing with Rush. The only way it could have been any better was if Joe Strummer rose up form the grave and joined them on Sightsee MC. It was like City Gardens back in '89, only 20 years better. Hope these guys keep it going for a while. The show was worth every penny. Don't let the ridiculous 25% extortion that TM places on everything prevent you from getting tix to see these guys (as it almost did us. $15 on top of $60? Seriously?). The Roseland was a great place to see them, too. The place was filled and the crowd was a good mix of over the hill ex- punks (guilty) and the next gen alt rockers. BAD played with real enthusiasm and you could tell they were enjoying it almost as much as we were. The hot dogs were pretty good too :)

If Mick Jones was in exactly the right place at the right time with The Clash, then seeing his reanimated B.A.D. crew rock the Roseland Ballroom made me realize how far ahead of their time the group actually were in 1985. Their cartoonish persona (toned down now in 2011) combined with liberal use of sound effects, film scores and dialogue snippets presage current acts like Gorillaz. I'd forgotten how many good songs they have; and while the studio versions of some suffer from dated '80s production values, these live versions were full and dynamic - witness 'C'Mon Every Beatbox' in particular. Mick Jones remains a highly engaging persona, able to both act like the genuine rock icon he is and yet, seconds later, knowingly mock it. Would only that every '80s revival sounded as fresh as this!

I saw BAD in 1986 with this exact (original) lineup and they are even better now! This show presented everything I wanted, after traveling from DC to NY to see the best band of the 1980s. A little over 25 years after forming, Big Audio Dynamite are playing a North American tour that should not be missed. Playing 14 songs during a 90 minute set, B.A.D. played songs off of their first 4 albums. The crowd was diverse from young teens to a 40-something man that tried to get on stage during their encore. Mick looked like he was having the time of his life, smiling throughout every song and strutting around the stage. If you squinted your eyes a bit you would swear you were watching him during an early Clash show. Between songs he exchanged comments with the audience and bandmate Don Letts. With the roller coaster ride the stock market has seen the last couple of days it was appropriate to hear Mick singing...."A dance to the tune of economic decline" during "The Bottom Line." Wearing a suit, Jones looked like an elderstatesman of the punk/reggae/hip-hop, funk style he pioneered and developed. During E=MC2 Jones sang, "Spread the News the Maestros back...." Amen to that!

Big Audio Dynamite played a great show at Roseland tonight. I hadn't seen BAD in about 20 years and they were in fine form. It was great in particular to see front man Mick Jones. He is a fine guitarist. Watching him made me think of all those great riffs he did on those early Clash (his first and better known band) that rip through you like a buzzsaw. This was pretty much the original line up of BAD which included famed film maker Don Letts (Third World Cop). They performed many of my favorites including E=MC2, Bottom Line, and Rush. How time goes by. I realized that is was just 30 years ago that I saw Mick and his mates in the Clash perform just a few blocks from Roseland at Bonds. They played over two weeks of shows at Bonds which was unheard of. That Clash on Broadway. Great Show Mick .

Jam packed house witnessed Big Audio Dynamite simply explode in New York. The band was excellent from start to finish. This band is critical in the history of music on it's own, when you consider it is led by Mick Jones who is in the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the most important band of all time The Clash and seasoned musicians Greg Robert, Dan Donovan and Leo Williams, in addition to filmmaker, rapper, toaster, & DJ Don Letts the mixture is explosive. Jones is in top form and so is the rest of the band. Greg Roberts is one of the best drummers on the planet. He forms a super tight bass and drum section with Leo Williams. Greg and Leo have played together for 25 straight years starting in Big Audio Dynamite, then Dreadzone, and now BAD again. Visually stunning, musically cutting edge, sounded fantastic. One of the best concerts I have ever attended. The bass player from Green Day was there, Matt Dillion, Rick Rubin, famed photographers Bob Gruen, Josh Chuese, and many many other famed folks came out to watch one of their favorite bands. This band owned the stage and I cannot recommend more highly that if they are playing anywhere near you to make sure you attend.

The show was incredible. Fantastic energy, with bass & drum pounding out a massive sound that hit you in the chest and rattled your heart. Mick was friendly and the and his mates appeared to be having a great time. We had a great time too, one couldn't help but dance from the first crack on the snare and kick of the bass drum to the final beat of "Rush." Eliminating much of the sampling and superb playing and high energy from the band allowed the raw energy of the music to came through. Most enjoyable show and great to see Mick Jones again.
