Big Audio Dynamite

I was pleasantly surprised at how Big Audio Dynamite was. The boy proved they still got it. The only bummer was that they didn't play The Globe and a few other of their "hits". All in all, it really was a great show however.

Big Country

Been a Big Country fan since I first heard them back in 1983 and never expected to see them in Florida, especially after Stuart Adamson's untimely passing a few years ago. I had heard the new cd and liked it but wasn't sure what the Big Country live experience would be like without Stuart, and I have heard a lot of the original Big Country live on cd. I'm here to say that Mike Peters did a fantastic job and while no one can replace Stuart, he is a great fit in the Big Country lineup. The set had a lot of energy and balanced the material between the classics and the new songs. It was incredible to see Mark Brzezicki and Bruce Watson perform in person, and the band actually came down after the set to talk to the crowd and tell us how much they enjoyed playing for us. It was a fun, highly memorable night and here's hoping that Big Country will be back to Florida in 2014.

The concert was amazing. Firefall, Ambrosia and Stephen Bishop did not disappoint. Their musical and singing talent never ceases to amaze. I was also very happy to have the opportunity to meet and chat with them afterwards for signing autographs.

I wrote a very thoughtful review for Mary, her daughter Roisin, and her band. I would like to please see that up so that people read it and no that is the concert they MUST see!! 3 days later and I can't get their music out of my head - it's the first time I've felt at peace in days. Post my previous review homie!

Blackfoot

The latest version of Blackfoot is a sonic machine full of infectious energy and boundless synergy! Rickey Medlocke, founding member of BF, joined the band for the majority of their 81 minute set yet acknowledged these men for what they are - BLACKFOOT of 2017 and beyond! Numerous statements were made as to 2018 being an exciting year with a new record in the works. The performance itself was nothing short of sensational. Rickey's input was well received yet the band really shone when he left them to provide intoxicating live versions of songs from "Southern Native," their latest CD. Bottom line - this band is being produced by Rickey and he has entrusted them to carry on the legacy of Blackfoot into the future. Believe me when I say that they this task with superb musicianship. Go see them NOW!

At first I thought they seemed kind of tired but it didn't take long for them to get into it. I was super impressed with gregs voice. And Jim always sounds great.

The theater was great and the sound was perfect. Karla Bonoff was all that a performer should be. Her voice was clear and impeccable and the songs were lilting and meaningful. This is a must see concert for those who enjoy true talent.

Pat Boone

The warm up act, The Diamonds, was perfect for this stroll down Memory Lane. They rocked! When Pat Boone, resplendent in all white, came on stage, the audience gave a true American musical icon his due. He opened with his first #1 hit, "Ain't That a Shame." Rockin' good! Pat proved that being 77 is just a number for him, as he turned back the clock with "Bernadine," "April Love," "Don't Forbid Me," "Almost Lost My Mind," and "Moody River." The White Bucks kid followed up with his number one and number two biggest hits, "Love Letters in the Sand" with some fun audience participation, and "Speedy Gonzalez." The latter's rating was a big surprise to me, as April Love seemed like it was surely Number Two for Pat. Then it was time for some good ole gospel music with Neil Diamond's "Brother Love's Travelling Salvation Show" and Pat's "Wonderful Time Up There." Pat sang his heart out and the audience was on its feet. Wow! After the audience cheered Mr. Boone back on the stage, he acquiesced to a request for my personal favorite, "Friendly Persuasion" which was just as hauntingly beautiful as when he first recorded it back in 1956. The finale was a partriotic song written by the night's shining star entitled "Under God" which was written in response to the movement to remove this phrase from the pledge of allegiance. Foks were on their feet, cheering, as Pat sang. What a night!

Billy Bragg

Billy Bragg is an incredible entertainer. I went in knowing very little about him and his work and came out knowing I would see him again and again (and that I need to beef up my music collection.) He is so witty, comical, and genuine, and of course - incredibly talented. And the boys in the band accompany him splendidly (and are a crap ton of fun to talk to after the show...they are, however, not very good leg wrestlers)
