Sammy Hagar & the Wabos

Oh wow, oh wow, for anyone who was a fan of the '80s and '90s hard rock scene, going to a Sammy show is a no-brainer! A quick video montage of his entire career plays on the big screens, then out comes the Red Rocker himself, launching into a set of early Sammy from his Montrose days. This is followed by some of Sam's '80s hits, then at least at our show, Michael Anthony runs out on stage to join Sammy and the Wabos for the Van Halen set. Midway through that, Jason Bonham (who lives here in SoFla, may not be appearing at every show) takes over drums for a couple of Halen hits, then stays on as Sammy says they have to do a tribute to Jason's Dad's band, and they went into a screaming version of "Rock and Roll." Go see this show!!!

I have seen Sammy several times in the past, both with Van Halen and solo, and I must say....he is better than ever!!!! He rocked the house, and brought so much energy with him! The real treat was the guest performers: Michael Anthony, and Jason Bonham! I was blown away!

Sammy and the Wabos rocked the Hollywood Hard Rock. The tempo was so upbeat and the show went by so quick while hitting all the right spots. Starting with a 12 minute Bad Motor Scooter, the show just got better and better. Michael Anthony joined in the fun for some VH songs and special guest drummer Jason Bonham brought down the house including a cover of Led Zeppelins Rock n Roll!!! Go see these guys!!! They absolutely rock!!

It was great to see Sammy with the Wabo's. I like Chickenfoot but I love Sammy and the Wabo's. The show was great and the venue is unbeatable. Bathrooms close, cocktails close and Sammy was close.

Sammy is exceptional!!!! As far as the show that he puts on no complaints, however I was expecting to be able to sit to watch his show, and was really not happy about having to stand for 3 1/2 hours and being crushed in the crowd was not enjoyable, but that had nothing to do with Sammy, he is outstanding and very humble!!!

Great Show Hogh energy, Mike Anthony and a ton of Van Halen tunrs to boot!!! Show kicked ASS!

Sammy rocks another great show he always puts on a great show

Sammy always does his greatest hits and we love hearing them! It was great to hear some of his new Chicken Foot stuff, too. His concerts are so upbeat and a total party atmosphere.

I've been to many, many SAMMY concerts and this one was just as GREAT!! I loved the size of the crows, smaller venues make it SO much more enjoyable. And, although I do not usually support the San Manuel Casino, this small venue was no exception. SAMMY & the Wabos ROCKED THE PLACE fo' shizzle!! My husband really enjoyed hearing a LOT of his older stuff, I ROCKED my way through the whole thing no matter WHAT gets played! Lol!!

The entire show was excellent! Did alot of his pre-Van Halen songs.

Sammy is always awesome, but the San Manuel venue is terrible,,,, the seating is just rows in front of each other, so when everyone stands you cant see, the t.v. screens were scratchy. I would not go to this place again for a concert. We drove from Temecula, and it was very disappointing

I have seen Sammy many times and this one was no different. He Rocked!The concert arena at San Manuel was GREAT. Not a bad seat in the house. The band was very tight and.I loved every thing about the concert Sammy's guitar solos were awesome!

The show was amazing. I love the venue. I've seen Sammy perform on different venues all over the world, and loved this show. Felt like we had been invited right into Sammy's home. He had his family up on stage, and sang a few of his older songs that I've never heard him sing live before. The show was fantastic and the casino did a great job setting this one up.

What more can I say. The man is great!!!Can't wait to go to Cabo next month to see Chickenfoot at the Cabo Wabo for the 20th anniversery!!!

My first Sammy Hagar concert and I thought he was exciting, energetic and entertaining. My friend has been to many, many of his concerts here and in Cabo and just raved about him so we went together. My friend was shocked that he didn't play longer than 1 1/2 hours. He started at about 7:40pm and ended about 9:15pm. We are chalking it up to the San Manuel Casino rules but who really knows??? I would love to see him play again at another venue and Cabo would be my first choice.

Sammy and the Wabos did it again. From start to finish, they kicked ass. They proved that you don't have to be on tour to pack the house or to put on a fantastic show. For 2+ hours Sammy and the Wabos gave us what we wanted, everything. They played songs from Montrose, early Red Rocker, from Van Hagar and of coure the Wabos. The place was packed but that didn't matter because with "Red Love", there was no pushing, shoving or fights. Mad Mona was great as always and Vic Johnson proved his guitar work is as good as anyones. David Lauser kept the show moving but could have thrown out more drum sticks to the fans. Sammy's voice is great as ever and his interaction with his fans is what other singers should emulate. Never miss the chance to see Sammy live.

I've been to many Sammy shows, but this one was pretty darn good. The crowd was mostly pleasant, which can be hard when everyone is always drunk for these shows. Harrah's showroom is about the size of the SF Fillmore, so that is nice too.

As always sammy hagar rocks . Almost 2 hrs of every ones favorite, yeah he has been doing this for fourty years. Sammy come back and bring chickenfoot

Awesome Show! I saw the Red Rocker in October of 1984 in Detroit. It was his birthday, the Detroit Tigers were winning the World Series and the Concert was one of the greatest shows I have been too in my life. The concert was broadcast live on the local Detroit Radio Station. It was such a success that they re-broadcast it again the following night which allowed me to record it and I still have it to this day. I again saw Sammy with Van Hagar at the Monsters of Rock concert in Miami. Another great show! Seeing Sammy doing the Four Decades of Music was out of sight! Can't get enough of that Montrose stuff, its classic rock! Hope I have a chance to see Sammy again in the future.

I can't imagine a more fun night out with a performer who still obviously enjoys what he does than going to a Sammy show. Non-stop energy and greatest hits to satisfy any fan of Sammy's, no matter what era of his unbelievable career. Must not miss!

This is by far the most fun an awesome show i ever see in my like. He is carismatic an a fantastic singer!!!!!! Can't believe he is 66 years old.-!!!! I would go again and again.........

All I can say is everytime I see Sammy I go away more amazed about what a great show he puts on. He sounds great and love to hear all the old Montrose, Sammy, and VH! Can't wait till the next time.

Montrose, Van Halen or solo, Sammy Hagar is an act worth seeing...over and over again! This show was high energy from the moment it began to the moment Sammy left the stage for the evening. Guests Michael Anthony and Jason Bonham helped make a great concert even better. We'll go see Sammy and the Wabos again without question!!

Sammy played major hits from his time with Montrose, through is solo career, through Van Halen and to the present. Jason Bonham joined to play drums on Poundcake, Finish What You Started and Rock and Roll, in tribute to his dad. Only downside was an odd selection for an encore of Depeche Mode's Personal Jesus. Sammy has too many hits to have to rely on a Depeche Mode cover.

The show was friggin' amazing. Jason Bonham rocked ! Just wished they would have played longer.

Sammy still rocks! Great song list, so glad I went. If you have a chance to see Sammy don't miss it. You won't be disappointed!

As always a Sammy show is a good time Rock and Roll party. Too bad more people didn't show up. Could have played a couple of more tunes. Clocked in under 2hours

What a great show! Sammy was awesome and sounded great! he got the audience involved and had great special guests...Michael Anthony on bass and john Bonham on drums. Can't wait to see Sammy again!

Sammy at his best!! He is an outstanding performer and if you can you should go to the concert!

Great Show! At 66 he can still belt out those high notes. One of the last true Rockers who has fun with audience and his music. Covered all the songs from Montrose to current releases. It was a must see show! Hope he comes back to Florida.

The venue was very nice, good sound. We had seats in a good location but the seats themselves were not as good as I was expecting. Pretty cheap and way too close together. I had seen Sammy perform before with Van Halen as part of the 5150 tour, and he can still rock! His voice was still good and he hasn't grown soft like many other bands. He was celebrating 40 years and so he basically took us on a trip through time from '73 when he was with Montrose, then Van Halen, then Chickenfoot, and finally various iterations of the Wabos. He brought in Michael Anthony to play bass for the Van Halen (and a few other) songs, and then Jason Bonham played drums on two songs. It was a great concert and I was sorry when it ended.

Great show. It was nice to see an artist who can engage the crowd and entertain.

My ears bleed for a couple of days, but it was the best sounding lowd concert i've ever heard and seen in a while. it was also so much fun listening to the band and Sammy just having fun with the audience. He pushed his rum by drinking it, and displaying it in his t-shirt but then again he's a business man that knows how to market his merchandise. He is the best..

It had been 34 years since I had seen Sammy, the Red Rocker, perform in SE FL. The first time was at the now long gone Hollywood Sportatorium, visiting the state for vacation. I convinced my parents to drive me & my brother from Key Biscayne to see Boston with opener SH, whom I really wanted to see based on having the first Montrose album. It was a typical late 70's concert event, with all the sights, sounds and especially smells that made concert going such a fun hobby back in the day. Sammy absolutely stole the show, and Boston looked like a bunch of limp dicks after having to follow Sammy and his over the top, blasting set of Montrose and original tunes.... I was hooked! So on Thursday, years after the Sportatorium is no more, I was so stoked to see Sammy play all his hits from the last 40 years... and he did not disappoint! Coming out to all his Montrose anthems, he rocked the house, most of those present singing along to the Sammy of the early 70's. Many of the songs were shortened in a medly style, which was fine, as we had 40 years worth of hits to hear! Segway into Sammy's early career tunes such as The Girl Gets Around, Heavy Metal, Three Lock Box, I Can't Drive 55, I'll Fall in Love Again... then on to his Van Hagar hits with Michael Anthony as guest bassist. After the VH set, we got another offering of Sammy & the Wabo's with Mas Tequila being my favorite highlight. The finale, a slamming verison of Led Zepplin's Rock n Roll was a perfect finish to a perfectly rocking evening. Almost 2 hours of solid hits (Small bathroom break intermission) and I have my Sammy Fix until I get out to Cabo to see him there... it's on my bucket list, so Get Ready!

Show was amazing. he still sings great. concert almost two hours. Didn't like encore song. Slow and unknown.

What a great show Sammy did all the hits! It was cool the way he did all the hits in order of the year they came out. It was also cool when he brought out Jason Bonham to play drums.

Sammy is a fabulous entertainer. His song list contained all of the favorites that fans wanted to see and hear. He surprised the audience with guest stars such as Michael Anthony and Jason Bonham. Fan's loved the songs from the Van Hagar era and even a Led Zeppelin tune. He finished the show with an old song called "Personal Jesus," which is not one of my favorites but sounded good anyway. Sammy's down- to-earth personality, along with his amazing voice will keep me coming back for more!

The show was great they played songs from though out his career. Sammy's voice is still amazing he sounds as good as he did when I saw him in the early 90's and they put on a great stage show.

Sammy and the wabos were fantastic. One hour and 45 min of fun. They played 5 van halen songs and most of the Hagar hits and led zed's rock and roll. Great event. Worth every penny

Eddie Trunk, host of That Metal Show, introduced the band. The show was one favorite after another. Sammy keeps the energy high and there is a great party atmosphere. In the Van Halen set Michael Anthony came out and then later Jason Bonham came up to the drums for a few songs.His first song, Poundcake, tore the place up. The show ended with Depeche Mod's Personal Jesus. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

The show was very energetic and Sammy always has a party on stage. Michael Anthony showed for a few songs. Jason Bonham who lives in South Florida dropped by and played on 3 songs which included Rock and Roll by his dad's band Led Zeppelin.

I am a big fan of Sammy Hagar, and have seen his show at Harvey's Lake Tahoe several years in a row... However, I must say I was a bit disapointed this year.. Understandably, the show was delayed by rain.. Signs were posted stating the show would stsrt at 7:45pm. In reality, it started at 8:20pm., and was over at 9:30... Although, Sammy alwaus puts on a great performance, this was the shortest show ever.. For $70 per ticket, I expected more..

Weather caused the show start late, but it did not dampen the energy and fun. We had a very good time.

Travelled from Boston to the middle of nowhere to see Sammy and Joe. I could not have been more impressed. Murphys is a great town, the ironstone Amphitheater is a fantastic venue, and needless to say, both Sammy and Joe rocked the house! I hope he goes back there next year!

Sammy Hagar knows how to rock, and indeed he did! He was in a great mood because he had never played @ Ironstone Vineyards in Murphy's, California. (He kept calling it Murphyville or Murphytown...Ha!) What an amazing venue! It was definitely worth the drive there! (An hour and 45 mins from Sacramento) Sammy's voice is still as strong as it has ever been. He jammed on his guitar, he danced & skipped around the stage as if he was still in his 30's (he's twice that age!!) and he joked & teased the crowd. Great show! Great songs! Great time!

I loved the venue and will look for more concerts at this facility. A beautiful place to see a concert. Joe. Satriani opened for Sammy. The whole show was on point. The sound system was awesome and all the rockers were great!!!!

Due to weather in Tahoe Saturday, the concert was delayed by 45 minutes and didn't start till another 40 minutes after that (8:20pm). Once Sammy did appear it took everyone about hour to finally get the vibe and rock out, but once we all got rocking it was time for the show to end. Apparently Tahoe has a rule about concert's only going till 10pm due to residents in the area. I love Sammy and have seen him several times, this was a good show, but might not see him at this venue again.

The show rocked, as usual. But There was not much as far as oncore. Lights stayed down at "end of show" the crowd intensely cheered for more, But nothin'. It was a long set... sort of... but he could have done a few more songs.

OMG! Full moon, light rain, little lighting and lots of Joe and Sammy! 5 years in a row and never the same show, but always awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sammy Hagar has sometimes been called the Jimmy Buffet of Rock and Roll with his annual Birthday Bash at the Cabo Wabo Cantina and his roving tequila set that crosses the country. With a career spanning 4 decades and a musical catalog that runs the gamut, there is no shortage for material to be played and Sam never disappoints. From the opening with Red to the closing of the show with Dreams, the event was electric and loud.

I've seen Sammy perform while in Van Halen and fronting Chickenfoot; he gets better and better with age. Different from many performers who you assume just do it for the money, Sammy just loves to rock out live. He made 100 million from his sale of Cabo Wabo Tequila so the motivation isn't money. Three Lock Box, Mas Tequila, Heavy Metal, Why Can't This Be Love... every song was great. I wish he could have thrown in a few from 'Foot. Picked up his book and finished it in a day. A rock and roll story, an American success story. Come back Sammy to Philly this time Sam! There's only one way to rock ;-)

Sammy and the Wabos did not disappoint!! Another reason why I follow his shows whenever I can. He even stopped at his Beach Bar and Grill on the AC Boardwalk before the show! Go and see him if you can!!!

The Show was unforgetable as usual but bought meet and greet tickets.....no instruction was given to us at check in and no body we asked seemed to know anything about a meet and greet and we asked several showboat employees.....at showtime we showed up without a badge and they said no badge u dont get in.....15 minutes before showtime showboat employees are saying there is no meet and greet when we knew we paid for one and everyone was in line with badges at the show.....my husband had to run around finding someone who knew about this and finally someone pulled an envelope out from under a desk 10 minutes before showtime...almost missed the meet and greet...had 1 minute with sammie...none of r own pics or autographs allowed...not enough time for anyone....a bit disappointing I would say!!!

One of the best shows that I've ever seen. It was at the House of Blues in Atlantic City, which is a very intimate setting so you had the feeling that you were up close and personal with the artist. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone and to see Sammy Hagar the first chance you get.

I love anything Sammy does; Montrose, Van Halen, The Wabos, Chickenfoot. This was my first time seeing Sammy with the Wabos and it was great! He did songs from all of his past bands, except Chickenfoot, which was disappointing. I must admit that I love him best in Chickenfoot and can't wait for the new CD and tour. Now I have seen him in all of his bands. Still, the show was thoroughly entertaining--confetti and all! Keep rockin' Sammy!!

Sammy and the guys sounded great. Really tight for haven't played together for a few months. Sammy's voice sounds as good today as it did 30 years ago.

Sammy was Awesome as usual! The Wabos were also equally as Awesome! Not only did the Wabos play at Harrah's with Sammy, but then they went on to play at the Cabo Wabo Cantina wih Aaron Hagar on vocals! I'm flat broke from all of the Waboritas I drank, but it was well worth it! I will definitely be back next year!

Sammy Still Rocks.. Michael Anthony was there for the weekend. Both Nights Sammy and Michael played Van Hagar sets. It's been a while since I've seen M.A. Play and I forgot how much fun he has on stage. Sammy is the ultimate Rocker and does not forget his fans. While in the middle of songs Sammy goes around and signs autographs! Sammy, did Montrose, Van Hagar, Solo and more. both nights were very different, Simply put , I will always go out of my way to see Sammy !!

This was one of his best shows! I have seen him and the Wabos several times and this set list just worked out great starting with early stuff and then progressing to maintain the party atmosphere till the end! Awesome!

Awesome concert. Sammy is a natural showman and comedian at times. Very personal with the crowd!

This is the 3rd time I have seen Sammy. 1st waaaaay back with Montrose, 2nd with Van Halen, and now solo. This was probably the best of the 3, mainly due to the size of the venue, and his playing songs from his entire career. It was awesome to hear Rock Candy and Bad Motor Scooter again, as well as the earlier solo stuff all the way up to the latest. With the place (IP Casino, Biloxi, MS) only holding about 1,000 people, it was about as close up, in your face, as you could want to get. Will definitely be back for future shows... Highly recommend the place, and don't miss the buffet in the casino before your show...

OMG what a great show. We were in the pit and Sammy and the Wabo's just rocked the place. He was clearly enjoying the moment. He just put on a great show! Can't wait to see them in Cabo!

Sammy Rocked It Red!!!!!!!!!!! I've seen Sammy 5-6 times and he always Red Rocks the House. I only wish I will have as much energy when I'm Sammy's age. Weather your 12 or weather your 64 Sammy's going Red Rock you like there'll be nomore.Keep on Red Rocking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Show was pretty amazing. He sang You're Rock Candy, did Zepplin, and rocked. 7000 fans cheered and rock n rolled. Great show, was a bit loud.

I've been Sammy Hagar fan forever. Love it every time I see him. He is awesome. From Montrose. Solo stuff. And the best thing for Van Halen. Last night, like always, he rocked out the tunes. He is so much fun. I took a friend this time with me. Who doesn't know Sammy like I know Sammy. He said he couldn't believe how great he is. I recommend a Sammy Hagar concert to anyone who likes to rock and party.

Sammy was at the top of his game with a two-hour PARTY! The man can rock!! He had a great set list, was playful with the audience and "waitresses" on stage, and sounded absolutely great!

Sammy and the Wabos ALWAYS put on a great show. I think the Fair made him cut it off before 9 PM so the show was only a little over an hour long this time.

I've beeen a red rocker fan sense the late 1970's. Sammy is always a hoot! His engery is high level. He loves his fans and it shows. The fair concert was good, not alot of people there which I thoght was odd.

As always, the red rocker rocked the house! Played songs from Montrose days through today. Even Michael Anthony showed up for some Van Halen toons. Good times were had by all.

Sammy has a good time where ever he goes and he takes you with him when you see his show. His personality and generosity shines in a small venue. He signs autographs and gives hugs while he sings. He shares the stage freely. I don t know if it was a Beastie Boy or just one of his buddies but some one came on to sing You Gotta Fight For the Right to Party and Michael Anthony played the second have of the show with plenty of Van Halen songs and even a Chickenfoot tune. The only thing I could complain about is the fact that I didn t know that he is coming out with a new album and they played 4 or 5 songs I have never heard before and skipped ones I wanted to hear. But all in all great show!

Came from Texas...long way to get a break from the heat and see Joe Satriani. Well not only was the venue fantastic, but now I am a "red rocker" fan. This was by far the best concert I have ever been to. Clean ,well laid out, beautiful grounds, good sound mix, great show.

I enjoyed this concert very much. Satriani is the worlds best guitarist and Sammy was amazing as always! Fun, charismatic, energetic and oh so sexy!

SAMMY...SAMMY...TOBY...SAMMY... Great show, and I loved this venue. I loved Sammy's connection to this venue, and how good this show was because of that. Awesome.

Sammy always plays to the fans. Great show but was cut short due to rain early. venue was only 1:50 minutes long. Ive been to 3 shows by the RED ROCKER and this was not the best. He did play all the old tunes that made him famous....RED,Bad motor scooter, space station #5, three lock box, etc. but the show was too short. They stopped playing at 9:53pm. He could have played 1 more tune. I always like the small venue as he has better repore with the crowd. Sammy never ....almost never dissapoints.

Sammy Hagar's concert in Lake Tahoe was awesome! We had to wait an extra hour for the show to begin due to a prior thunderstorm and some lightening. The extreme weather stopped thank goodness. So glad it did not get cancelled! It was well worth the wait! He put on a great show and sang all of my favorite songs! His band the WABOS are amazing! His energy and talent is excellent!

would have been much better if Sammy did an encore or 2, but he didnt. I guess I am not surprised as he did not stay very long to sign his book RED after everyone stood in line for hours. Very rude...

Even at 64 years old, Sammy still can get the crowd moving and singing with a touch of a microphone!! With the Wabo's at this side, his show makes it well worth the $$ every time !!!

first off there was an hour delay, sammy talked to much instead of performing, he usually has some guests show up- they didnt , that sucked ! Ive seen his show 4 or 5 times in past and always thought it was awesome , this time not so much.

The venue has long been one of my favorites,throw in the guitar wizardry of one Joe Satriani and the unmatched personality and showmanship of Sammy Hagar and you have a night that no one will forget.

Sammy rocked as usual! His voice and guitar playing was excellent. Set list was so-so, show was not as long as some in the past. Drinks were sub-par, used mixer for Waboritas which is not the norm for Sammy. .Unexplained 45 min delay for start of show.

Show started over an hour late and ended way too early! No opening bad. Sammy was just not up to his normal high energy performance. We really missed the exciting energy that we saw at the Chickenfoot shows the past two years. He didn't even play Chickfoot songs, as promised. I know this was a Sammy & Wabos show and not Chickenfoot but Wabos opened for Chickenfoot last year the the whole night was mind blowing awesome. This year it was just good, not great. Sad. But I'll still see Sammy anytime he plays in Tahoe. Love the outdoor arena!

Sammy is one of the most amazing performers I have ever seen. He really is an incredible performer that connects so much with the audience you feel like you know him...amazing really. I see him any time is anywhere I can get to!

Based on seeing Sammy numerous times before, I had a greater expectation for this show. The start time was delayed and the end time remained the same. I did enjoy the performance, just missed the mark based on past shows at Tahoe.

Sammy is a true entertainer. My wife and I loved the show and cant wait to see him in Cabo San Lucas some day.
