Like usual, they put on a GREAT show. They really know how to get the crowd going. I was with great friends, we had great weather, and saw a GREAT show. Inxs rocks! What more can be said!
Sooooo good to see JD back with the Boys! Didn't care for the "re-imagined" treatments of a few songs. In fact, a little energy left the building when JD left the stage and "New Sensation" was sung by a woman with a country flavor followed by a toned-down version of "Don't change". I love hearing their hits in their original format, and love singing along to them as I remember them. JD never lost any of his energy, even when the crowed was just sittin' on their collective bum. His getting the crowd on their feet literally saved the night for INXS!
Well we got there just to here Berlins last song which was good.. Then waited for INXS first song was Ok. Then for THE STAIRS my husband loves this song.. It was such a downer.. Not enough ummmpphh. Im sorry but the new lead singer was not up to much... We left half way through..
This is the 4th time that I have seen INXS with the new lead singer. They are awesome. What a plus to see them at such a great venue. The sound system at The Mountain Winery in Saratoga is amazing.
Have never written one of these. Felt compelled to here. Wasn't a HUGE INXS fan in the past, just liked them. Got tix, and off we went. ALWAYS enjoy the venue! But, it was a rainy night. That said, it didn't dampen THIS audience or show one bit. Have never seen a band there have the entire place standing, dancing, and singing along quite like this. We were up the WHOLE time, even everyone on the lawn! In summary...Fun, fun, fun, great tunes, etc. A good time was had by all! Highly recommended.
INXS at Chateau St. Michelle was great. Even thought it was a somewhat cloudy/ chance of rain day, the concert was still fun. Berlin opened up for INXS and her voice was perfect. INXS had an amazing energy on stage. The only reason I did not rate this as Amazing was there was no room to dance by the stage for INXS (they had passes for us to dance during Berlin). Other than that, the concert was above my expectations. Amazing sound and a fun night! The lead singer of Train even performed one song. what a surprise!
INXS.........last time I saw you was in Hawaii in 1984. You were fabulous then and still are now. So glad you came back to sing 'New Sensation' and 'Don't Change' in it's original style. You took me back to the 80's - that I miss so much. You are a group that truly loves making and playing music. My hats off to you for finding a great singer after your loss of Michael Hutchence. If anyone knows how to keep a band together, it's you guys. Rock on!!! Berlin opened right on time at 7pm. They sang all my favorite songs and a couple of new ones that I totally rocked. Ended the set with 'SEX' - my all time favorite!!!! Terry was so awesome coming out into the crowd and singing to them, touching hands. She is a remarkable gal and knows how to keep her fans in love with her.
Luckily the rain stopped just before the opening band Berlin came on. They warmed everyone up in a hurry with a great set of high energy music. INXS was next with a tight set of classics and some newer stuff that also sounded great. Everyone was on their feet singing and dancing all night, whew! Loved the reserved seating, probably won't picnic again!
The venue is amazing, rain or shine.... Berlin was great, the lead singer is adorable and the sound was sharp. INXS was a huge disappointment... what a bummer, it was my idea to go and we were all disappointed. The sound was horrible, the mix of songs was random and unrecognizable in many cases... if they were trying new stuff out, which I think they mentioned, anything we didn't recognized, made us want to take a nap... they should stick to the classic stuff and material off the Switch CD. J.D. is super yummy... but he spent too much time with his back to the crowd - we thought they felt disconnected from the audience.
It rained but who cared! Wine and great music was all we needed to stay dry. Of course the venue St Michelle is beautiful, but the bands, they not only brought back memories from my teen years but they were really good, better than I had hoped!
This band has been through it all and continues to put on a great show! Followed them through the eighties from Europe to the U.S. and they never disappoint in delivering the goods from back in the day to re-inventing and energizing themselves and their fans alike. Truly a team effort and class act- thanks for a great show!
INXS put on yet another incredible show. Sure, JD is not Michael, but he is doing a great job fronting the band again. Guest singers pop out who front covers of the bands songs on their "Original Sin" album. I new every word to every single song! Loved it!
Berlin's opening act was great and her voice was amazing. INXS did a great job reinventing their classic songs, but still keeping them nostalgic enough to bring back some great memories.
Loved the whole show! The band still knows how to rock it!!! Great venue to see a show!

INXS was fabulous, as always. Would have been nice to have the huge TV screen actually show the band (for those of us sitting in the middle of nowhere). Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery in Woodinville is a beautiful location. The only alcoholic beverages allowed were Ste Michelle wines. While I love wine and was fine with it, my husband and sister were not pleased at all (they're beer drinkers). Perhaps inviting a local microbrewery to serve would be a nice addition. The food vendors were expensive and the food was bad for the most part.

I have been a fan of INXS and always kicked my self for not seeing them back in the 80's. INXS rocked from the moment they took the stage, it was a dance-fest-sing-along. JD Fortune has stepped in pretty hard shoes to fill and does a good job.

My only complaint is that they could have played more! On the drive home we kept saying oh they didn't do this song and they didn't do that song but it was so great. What started out as a bad weather day turned into an amazing concert night. JD still has it as lead!

The INXS concert in Toronto was a night I will never forget. The band, led by their amazing front man JD Fortune, put their heart into every note and had us all dancing and cheering all night long (my voice is still struggling to recover). It's impossible to take your eyes off of JD as he takes over the stage and owns every inch of it. JD's energy fills the room, and his beautiful voice makes INXS's amazing songs soar even higher. This was the best show I have been to in a very long time, and I hope they come back to North America very soon so that I can see them again and again.

To be honest, I had no idea what to expect from the current incarnation of INXS. They do not disappoint! These guys are soooooooo talented and have such a catalog of great songs. The new songs were great as well. I have been looking to see them again. Great show. Highly recommended. I listen to everything from Slayer to Peter Tosh to the Dixie Chicks. I know good music and INXS is good music and a great live band.

Ok, so I've been following INXS since Shabooh Shoobah and gotta tell ya I really miss Michael, however JD is doing a great job. I have been to many of the past INXS concerts since 82' and it really hit home hearing their music live again without their lead singer. Overall a great show but really wish they would have played more songs from Switch (Pretty Vegas only made the lineup, and trying to move forward with JD on this album was working). Hope they can produce more like it, and stay away from the Original Sin (bought it at the concert and it's not good). Rock on INXS!

THE GROUP INXS PLAYED ALL THE HITS THAT I WANTED TO HEAR, BUT DID NOT HAVE A GOOD LIGHT SHOW / STAGE LIKE ALL OTHER CONCERTS I SEE EVERY YEAR BETWEEN MY 55 TO 60 CINCERTS A YEAR BETWEEN NY/NJ// AND PA. FOR EXAMPLE THE LAST CONCERT I SAW "THE STEVE MILLER BAND' AT MUSIKFEST IN BETHLEHEM, PA. WAS SET UP EXCELLENT AND HAD A GOOD SHOW COMPARED TO INXS, I DDN'T LIKE THE SHOW-GIRLS THERE THAT MUCH EITHER TRUTHFULLY. SO I DON'T THINK THAT I AM GOING TO SEE THEM AGAIN

INXS looked and sounded amazing. J.D. does a great job of trying to sing the songs like Michael did, while still using a bit if his own style. Liked the Drum Opera at the beginning with the Farriss Brothers. Kirk and J.D. interacted with the audience quite a bit. Loved hearing all of my favorite songs, but I must say that I do not like the Original Sin versions of the songs. I did not like the "country" version of New Sensation sang by the cowgirl, or the Original SIn version of Don't Change. Fans want to hear the songs the way they know and love them, not sung with a new arrangement.

INXS gave a great show as always. Didn't know how I would feel about JD Fortune as the frontman, but he exceeded expectations. Fortune had difficulty with his earpiece and seemed to let that show. The only disappointment of the evening was that they had one of their backup singer sing New Sensation. They made up for it later in their encore. I would definitely see them in concert again!

INXS continues to demonstrate incredible musicianship in their live shows! Their music sounds as good or better than their studio albums; each musical texture is crisp and complements the whole. Every band member is a superb musician and Andy is incredibly talented on multiple instruments. JD Fortune has refined his stage persona in his own way in a manner that avoids comparisons to the late Michael Hutchence. He appeared comfortable when engaging the audience. I first saw this band two decades ago, again following JD's recruitment, and this past Saturday night. Unlike other aging bands going through the motions, these guys continue to perform at an unparalleled level without elaborate staging or theatrics. Only major live act in their league is The Police.

OK lets get this straight Michael Hutchence was a true artist and a real rock star. The new lead singer, J. D. Fortune is so far off the mark I left the show early. It takes more than a vocal sound alike to fill the show of Hutchence. Besides that the bad themselves looked great and sounded good.

These guys are phenomenal! Saw them the first tour with JD and they have only gotten better. The only reason I gave them four stars and not five, was I was expecting more music from "Switch," which is a great record. I wasn't expecting a "best of" tour, which is what the show seemed to be. They still are amazing, and JD brings his own qualities to the old music ... but I wanted to hear more INXS overall .. old and newer ... so guys, add some more from "Switch" to the shows and record a "live" album!!

This was by far one of the best concerts I have seen this year and I do see about 12 concerts per year. Terri Nunn and Berlin opened the show and were great. Terri Nunn is still a beauty to behold and still has the voice of an angel. She sang all of her greatest hits and brought me back to the day. INXS, then hit the stage and rocked out hard for nearly 2 hours. JD Fortune is a blessing for all INXS die hard fans. He really is an amazing singer who brings nothing but class and respect to every INXS hit and there are many. The Faris brothers and the rest of the boys still sound spot on. JD's tune "Pretty in Vegas" rocks and sounds like a true INXS hit. Michael Hutchence was one of a kind for sure but make no mistake here JD Fortune is the real deal. As for the Beacon Theather, this was and is a truely amazing place to see a concert. The sound and overall venue itself is great. They renovated this venue a few years ago and it is stunning. As Terri Nunn said, " This place is like going to church"

From the opening drum solo which segued into Suicide Girl I NXS had the crowd in a Frenzy, No one Sat down for the next two hours. If this band comes to your town, check them out. I always though the were a lead singer only band, I was wrong, they are one tight hard rocking band through and through. They each played two or three instruments and were in sync with each other. The lead singer sounds like the original singer, but he had his own personality and blended very well with the original members. The Beacon theater was the perfect venue for this act, it holds about 3000 people for all the non new yorkers reading this review.

Let me preface that I am a LIFELONG INXS fan. I honestly didn't find out Berlin was opening till I got to the restaurant next door. I knew who they were of course, but other than "Take my breath away", couldn't name any other song; just never that into them. I came to see INXS, and that was that. Well, let me say that the energy Berlin brought to the stage made for a thoroughly enjoyable opening act. I was really into the music, the vibe and watching every band member have a good time rubbed off on a non-fan. I'm still not a big fan, but if Berlin came back around...yeah, I'd go see 'em. Now, INXS being very possibly my favorite band since I was 15 years old (um...that would be BEFORE the KICK album), this part of my review may be a little biased. This is my 5th time getting the opportunity to see them play live, and my 5th time loving-every-minute! This is the first time that I saw them having opened with the "Drum Opera" which was just slick. Then moving right into "Suicide Blond", the show just rolled along. A compilation of "Greatest-Hits" with some smatterings from their new album (which honestly is still growing on me), made yet another outstanding performance. JD was fronting the crew, and did just as well as I've ever seen him. Gary was out but the fill-in Bassist was spot on. The Farriss Bros. were tight as usual, and Kirk was in place delivering some creative guitar slides, some great saxaphone as well as posing for more than a few photos. I feel like going on, but it'll just be more of the same. Great show gentlemen, thank you. In general, tickets for this show were a steal. Great talent and a wonderful venue made this a show not to have been missed. All-in-all, definitely money well spent!

INXS & Berlin featuring Terri Nunn descended upon Richmond, VA Tuesday night and put a righteous "smackdown" on the attendees at The National. Berlin with Terri Nunn warmed up the crowd with a boisterous 40 minute set highlighted by Terri riding the shoulders of a security guard who walked through the crowd while she and the band performed "Break the Chains" and "Take My Breath Away." While it was very cool, we old folks in the balcony couldn't see as she was whisked through the GA audience. INXS came on at 9:30 and rolled out an 85 minute set with J.D. Fortune bopping around the stage like a teenager. Some say INXS died with Michael Hutchence but J.D. is MORE than an ample front man - he's awesome! The band rocked and rolled throughout the night and left the very appreciative crowd begging for more! Yes...as J.D. said, Richmond was the best crowd of their current tour! I gave this show four out of five stars only due to the ridiculously cramped seating in the balcony at The National. For over $50 a ticket, I at least expected some leg room and comfortable seat. Neither was present and squirming was a necessary course of action throughout the night!

I had not seen INXS since Michael Hutchence was their front man in the 90's. The crowd did not know what to expect in a new leader singer. You could hear them talking about the songs they remember and wondering who was going to sing tonight. The opening act did not "mesh" with the INXS style and there was a long turn around time before INXS hit the stage. When INXS finally came on, the light show in the background was visually entertaining. They never really told us who was singing, but it was the lead singer who has been with them for a while, J.D. Fortune. J.D. Fortune is hot, looking like a younger George Michael who can channel the beloved vocals of Michael Hutchence! What a treat! The crowd was pleased and with each song the crowd would either sing along or talk about another almost forgotten song. We were really rocking and the ladies wanted the front man to take off his shirt, but that did not happen. And the Farriss brothers still got it after all these years! The middle of the show was our only disappointment when a Country Lady Singer came out and started singing New Sensation very slow. Not good; some of the crowd left. But, the encore made up for the middle when J.D. Fortune sang New Sensation the right way! There was no tribute to Michael Hutchence and that was unfortunate because the acoustic version of Don t Change would have been perfect for that. Also, they kept telling us to buy the new album, Original Sin . I have news for them, that album came out in 1984 !! They need to focus on the Pretty Vegas new song and follow that route. Bottom line: If you are lucky enough to catch this show, DO IT! J.D. Fortune is hot, the Farriss brothers still give great sounds, and INXS sounds awesome! They seem unstable, so don t wait because there may not be another opportunity! Enjoy !!

INXS is an all-time fav band.. Obviously, it's been a tough road with the loss of the irreplaceable, amazing and unforgettable Michael Hutchence, but the remaining band members remain some of the most talented musicians of our time. With the addition of JD Fortune, a star in his own right, the band is just unstoppable. He is electric, has swagger, and voice that keeps up with the demands of INXS' classic library of tunes. JD has it all -- talent, musicianship, and is not so hard on the eyes either. It's a perfect package for the most discriminating music fan. Trust me !

i was almost afraid to go to this concert - afraid that my memories of INXS with Michael in their heyday would in some way be spoiled by a sub-par performance. That was in NO way the case. JD did a fabulous job, as did the reset of the gang. They had the crowd rockin' from the first note to the last encore. I would have gone back the next night to see the same performance and will be on the lookout for INXS during my travels. Great job!

Great show - good choice of intro group (Berlin) that energized the audience. INXS was awesome, especially for this venue.

This is the third time I've seen INXS and they still get the crowd going! They played a lot of their older songs and included "Pretty Vegas" from their Switch album as well. I was up dancing and clapping for most of the concert as were many of the people around me. The nTelos Wireless Pavilion is a smaller venue, which I like. It's situated at the waterfront in Portsmouth and on the night of the concert the weather was perfect with low humidity and a light breeze. One of my favorite parts of the show was the very beginning when the three Farriss Brothers came out dressed in black suits, reminiscent of the early Beatles, and started playing almost a jungle beat on the drums prior to opening up with "Suicide Blonde." They played a good 90 minutes, but I could've listened to them for hours! If you're and INXS fan I highly recommend the show!

This was my second concert in a week seeing a band that I have loved since, oh way back when. What an incredible evening. After seeing them in Richmond, I just had to see them again. I have never been to the nTelos Pavilion in Portsmouth, but it was an awesome venue - just the right size - not as incredibly big as Nissan and Va Beach, and not too small. I will definitely be back for future shows. The setlist was awesome, and the encore is one of the best I've ever seen. What would make a great night even better is hearing "This Time". One of my all time favorites, but Don't Change and New Sensation are up there at the top of my list. Thank you to the band - especially for taking the time to sign my niece's poster (special thanks to the tour manager). Andrew - you are so awesome to talk to; Tim - I just love watching you play guitar and singing along; John - watching you play the drums always makes me want to play air drums; and Kirk - one of the reasons I fell in love with INXS were your sax solos. Thank you again, and if you all haven't seen this band, please do! JD - I don't think my niece will ever forget this night. A special thanks to you for a very unforgettable evening. Love and Mayhem to all!

Nikka Costa was incredible. We will be hearing more from her. Her band was amazing too. INXS put on a great show as well. I was disappointed when a female singer covered "New Sensation" and gave it a country/gospel sound. I went to hear INXS rock. Not to hear yet another singer cover INXS. Especially making a great song sound like a country song. They made it up by doing a rocking version of the song as an encore. I would have like to have heard "The One Thing".

The show was amazing. Nikka Costa was the opening act, and she is crazy talented. Then, INXS took the stage after a brief set change. They gave us all their hits and also some reimagined versions of the classics.

Excellent show. Even though I am more of a hard rock concert goer, this show was really good. I was reading alot of reviews leading up to the Portsmouth stop, so I knew a little going in. It may have exceeded expectations, JD is an excellent frontman, and the band of course was spot on. The Pavilion is an excellent venue, way better than the other local outdoor venue, great staff, layout. Its too bad the attendance numbers are a little low for this tour, alot of folks are missing out on a quality show.

This is the first time I have ever listened to INXS without Michael Hutchence and I wasn't disappointed. They played all their old faves. They opened with Suicide Blonde and the encore ended on a high with New Sensation. They didn't attempt to plug too much of their most recent stuff. JD Fortune is no MH however and perhaps tries too hard to be him, acting a little bit like Russel Brand with short hair. (which is why it only got 4 stars not 5) apart from that it was outstanding.

INXS can still rock! The music set was great. I am really glad they decided to play New Sensation and Don't Change in the encore. If all we had heard was the remix country and acoustic versions everyone would have been disappointed. They really need to drop the country version of New Sensation, it killed the atmosphere in the crowd and not right for the concert. Nilkka Costa was good, the sound mixing was horrible and you could barely understand her or hear the trombone...even during the trombone solo.

My 3rd show in 2 weeks and just as awesome as the other 2. The whole band was very energetic, JD all over the stage, singing and sounding great as always. The stage was really high and we could not get right up to the stage like at some shows, had to stay a few feet back. Mostly you have to stay at your seats here. But the crowd was really into it, singing and dancing along. Another fantastic show from the INXS boys.

INXS was amazing. First time I saw them, they opened for Men at work. I thought they stole the show then. I was not let down by their current show - "amazing". The lead singer is fantastic. Would go again!

INXS was my favorite group for a long time. Some how its been so long since I played them. My wife got the tickets for me. The show was awesome. Don't underestimate the new lead singer!! Fantastic opening band, fabulous show , had a great time. Also, hearing a different style of New sensation was refreshing...not to fear, they played the original too :-) If they needed some constructive feedback, may be they could improve the presentation aspect ..get with times.. use digital lighting, special effects, get more talking with audience and include their participation..put some wow effect. Never the less, Fantastic music as always and a superb show

The beautiful Fox Theater was not even half full, and what a shame. INXS what as good as they have ever been. Nothing but one great song after another, by some of the most musically talented people I have ever seen together in one band. For those diehard Hutchins fans who refuse to accept the new singer JD, you are missing out. His voice is indistinguishable from Hutchins, if not a little bit stronger at points. Being a guy, I could give a darn if he's as big a heart-throb or not. The guy is the perfect fit vocally. My only disappointment was that they only played one song from the album Switch. But when you have as many great songs as they do, I guess a lot have to be left out. All in all, everything we hoped it would be!
