Donnie Iris still kicks ASS. Just an amazing concert from start to finish. You would never know he was 72. Opened w/ Agnes & closed w/ The Rapper. Tough World was a stand out. Hope the Rocksino does not wait too long to rebook this show again.

Donnie Iris is still very good after all the years....He puts on a great show , along with the cruiser's....

It was a great show. Good energy, connected with the crowd, great set in a great venue.

The setting was great, Open air setting of pittsburgh in the background. The group (expecly the young group) were great. Donnie was great, have seen him before, everytime he just seems to get better. The soungs brough back many flash back to younger days. Would see him again.

we rode the motorcycle over 3 hours to see him in Johnstown P.A. on June 6 09. He always gives 100% when he performs. He really knows how to get the crowd into the show with his non-stop entertainment. I'm a HUGE fan and try to see him as much as possible when he is playing around the Pittsburgh area.

Donnie still rocked it out at 72 years old and still has the piercing scream he always had. The band went all out and even did cover songs by Deep purple and Joe Cocker. This was a excellent concert and would recommend to anyone. Go see them next time you get a chance you will not be disappointed.

I've seen Donnie probably seven times and this was absolutely the best show! You can tell he does this because he loves it and the audience appreciated every second!

saw Donnie many times on river boat to hall concerts and he is just more amazing every year. was a great high energy concert.And rocksino is best place to see anyone preform. would go see him again

Donnie Iris and the Cruisers put on a great show! These guys are no spring chickens and the crowd was very appreciative of their efforts! Donnie still has amazing range with his vocals.

Although a longtime fan, I went to see King Cool with no expectations considering Donnie s age and what that unbelievable scream must have done to his voice over the past 50 years. I was more than blown away. The energy that the Cruisers put into the show was amazing and the vocals were great and at times out of this world. My only disappointment was there was so much material that they could have done but not enough time. I was a bit surprised that they played some covers, but I have to be honest the Joe Crocker with a little help\u2026 was jaw dropping. What I was most impressed with was after the show Donnie and the gang did a meet n-greet with the fans. Had a chance to thank Donnie for all the years of joy his music has given me. He was very gracious and down to earth, you could tell just a class act. He s a true role model for all musicians.

Donnie brought the hits (and yes he has more than 2)...check out his first couple albums..they're fantastic...the band was on...Donnie was energetic...and all seemed to be having a great time onstage..

Listening to Donnie Iris was a big part of my high school years(80's). This was my first experience at the Hard Rock venue. Nice place, small intimate and decent acoustics. Donnie Iris was fabulous! Hit all of his high notes, still gave that fabulous scream during Ah Leah. He was great! Googled his bio the next day and realized he is 72 years old. God Bless him! I would go again in a heart beat. Great show!

Donnie rocked the whole stadium, hit all of the notes and can still wail better than any rock singer. Joe seemed to have problems with the sound system. Most of his set was extraordinary but sometime his voice was lost in the music. Still and excellent show.

I had a fabulous time at this concert. The bands sounded great. CONSOL Energy Park was clean and I was so happy because smoking was not permitted!!

Bought 8 tickets, not one of us enjoyed this concert.

Got general admission tickets and was literally standing on the pitchers mound while they performed at the stage on home plate - GREAT SPOT!

Donnie Iris remains King Cool!! He hit every note with awesome agility... He sounded as incredible today as he did 20 years ago!!!! Young and old were up dancing and singing every song!

Donnie and ALL the Cruisers did a fantastic job! They never cease to amaze!

The outside venue @ The Meadows was comfortable, the weather was excellent. The crowd was there for serious rock and Donny didn't let them down.

Donnie Iris has never disappointed me. Saw him 30 years ago and I believe he even sounded better now. Love him!

all I can say is OMG!!!!!!!! Bring back Rock n Roll. This band should be performing all across country. They have more energy and talent pushing into senior years than most kids have at 21. I have not enjoyed a concert like this in over 30 years.

Donnie did a fantastic job! We were surprised how well he preformed and the energy his has. He is as old as our parents! He also loves his fans, he stuck around talking and signing autographs until every last person had their chance. I also have to say this was my first show at the Meadows and i was very impressed. I would think every seat in the house is a good one. The atomsphere was enjoyable as well.

First time I've seen Donnie in this type of (outdoor) venue. Great show- he is still the rocker ! The newer "version" of Ahh-Leah ( song like a ballad) then going into the version we're all familiar with- was awesome. Great show. Great performer. And he can still scream out those notes ! Yeah !

Have heard about Donnie Iris for years, but did not really follow...big mistake. My husband and I were amazed at his powerful voice, the musical talents of the Cruisers is incredible. You can tell this group of men enjoy the music they make together. They have fun with the audience and the audience has fun with them. Definitely recommend.

As usual Donnie Iris rocked. The concert was amazing and hearing the new songs from his Christmas CD was great. If you have never been to a Donnie Iris concert, you need to go.

Best show I've seen in a long time. This is the most underated rock group in history. Donnie Iris never disappoints! He's the best screamer in rock and roll, but it's not a screaming show. His vocal range is unmatched in music. I know him personally too....the most down to earth, friendly person you could ever meet. That's why he is called KING COOL! The sound at the Altar Bar in front of stage was phenomenal. Superb!

Donnie & The Cruisers were spot on and great stage performers as usual. Donnie was great with the crowd and his screaming parts were to pitch perfection. Down sides: - The Christmas Music. Stick to what makes you unique Donnie! Don't chase the holiday CD buck unless you're going to add your screaming style to each track. Those parts of the performance and playing your holiday CD during the break was a real dose of cold water on an otherwise great performance. - Your Sound Guy. The sound system itself was great and more than adequate for the space. However, just like last January at the Altar Bar, your sound guy overpushed the system. The band's acoustic talent was lost to distortion -- particularly the keyboards. The keyboard lead was not discernable on Sweet Merilee. It's a shame to lose all that perfection to something so simple. Replace your sound team with someone who knows more about the system's limits and who can still hear!

Great show, THOUGH we left halfway through since there is NO covering for the pouring rain!

I've been going to see Donnie and the Cruisers since 1979. That's 31 years!! This time in a standing downpour and noone cared!! I've seen them at least 15 times, and I am never even close to dissappointed. Hopefully, we will all have another 31 years of rock n roll!!!

As always Donnie and the Cruisers put on a great show but the venue and staff disappointed greatly. First, it was raining cats and dogs which had been forecast all day. Why was the seating area not covered?! I've been to this amphitheater before and it was covered, so I don't know what happened this time. Second, I paid extra $$$ for reserved seats up front, but because of the weather security chose not to enforce seat reservations. Everyone rushed the stage and it was impossible to see the performers. We finally left in disgust after 3 songs. I would like and deserve a refund.

Donnie Iris and the Cruisers put on a superb show as usual. They rock the house and kicked it up a notch with an appearance at the Hard Rock Cafe in Pittsburgh after the show. King Cool Light Beer is a hit and has a great flavor!

They haven't lost one bit of energy or precision. They gave us soaking wet fans a great show as we stood in a downpour. Just saw them a few months ago at the Altar Bar. Always top notch.

No more detail needed except Donnie Iris is the best concert experience out there. For those who didn't go you really missed out.

Donnie and The Cruisers, rocked really good like always, though the audio of the venue wasnt with them that day. Ive been to many shows at that venue, this is the first time they couldnt get a good balance right away. couldnt hear the guitar at first then donnies vocals were to low. But besides that, they rock played all the hits you know them for, leah love is like a rock, angus, sweet merilee, and many more. they played an 1 hour and 40 minutes no break. very good show. Rock on

Donnie Iris is simply amazing! He's been doing his thing for over 40 years and his voice continues to astonishi. While most acts his age are shadows of their former selves, he continues to connect with the crowd,appears to be enjoying himself immensley ,and gives a first class performance. Surveying the crowd at the Altar Bar produces age groups from 60's to early 20's. Not many acts can make that claim! Several years ago at the Katrina Relief Concert, Mellon Arena, he started cranking it up when three young people turned to me and inquired as to who the act was. When I told them it was Donnie Iris the were astounded! They told me that they thought he was just a comedy skit on 'DVE!

I have seen Donnie twice and it's a show that you could go to yearly and never get bored of the energy that he throws off. His stage presence is excellent.

Never a dull moment from the start of the show until the end!!! This was the 34th concert of his I've seen since the 9th grade...I'm now 42.....and try to see him every chance I get even though I have to travel 4 hours to the burgh!! This man is as much a part of my life as primanti sandwiches!

He's still got it! Awesome show and the Altar Bar might be my favorite venue in Pittsburgh.

The opening band was good. Sounded original. The drummer was really great, very impressed. Donnie was fantastic. I think his voice has only gotten better with age. The venue was perfect for him as well. Great acoustics.

It was amazing how much the band and vocals sounded like their recordings. They put a live twist on songs but made it feel like you were jammin in your car. I would recommend this concert to anyone who is a fan of this Pittsburgh rocker.

Donnie buts on a great show. The sound system at the Altar bar was not that good but the show that Donnie Iris and The Cruisers put on made for it.

It would have been better if the venue was set up with seats, like an auditorium. Standing for 2.5 hours before Donnie took the stage was a little much. Donnie and the Cruisers were fantastic. There were moments of technical difficulties but Donnie handled it professionally.

Great performance. They all "still got it!" As high energy as ever. The only thing that detracted were some sound level and mixing issues, and their sound technicians pushed the sound too hard. They players were sharp, but couldn't overcome distortion from pushing the sound system beyond its capabilities. Other than needing a new sond guy, the musicians themselves are great as ever! It's great to see Donnie and the Cruisers still loving what they're doing.

He is the man that after all these years he still has the golden pipes. I think he has more fun at his shows than the people that come to see him. Could you picture him as the front man of Aerosmith ? A perfict fit.

No one rocks like Donnie Iris rocks!! Now that should be your Super Bowl half time show!!

The show was outstanding. The atmosphere was fantastic and the band sounded great. This is a top shelf act. I would recommend to anyone who needs to rock. Donnie Rules Got to meet Donnie and some of the band after the show. Very nice people

Acoustics are really bad at this location. Donnie and The Cruisers are always top performers. Had trouble w/mikes and sound systems which took away from the event. But that wouldn't stop us from going again at another location.

The concert was great. Donnie & The Cruisers always come through. I can't wait to see them again. Security at the venue was not the best. The crowd was very well-behaved, yet we were asked many times to stop standing up. Standing up is a way to show the band your appreciation. If the crowd is under control, why can't we stand? Donnie realized what was going on and asked a Security person to let us stand up. Once that happened, it was a great evening.

I came to Pittsburgh and saw Donnie Iris - he was fantastic and looked as if he was having a great time performing. The venue was good as were the nearby attractions. I had a fabulous night and would definitely do it all again!

Thank you so much Donnie. You let us stand and dance. That security guard needs to find another job. He was miserable!!!!

Donnie Iris..... What a super entertainer! It had been a while since my wife and I had seen him in concert. Can't wait to see him again. Cruisers were great! As good as any national act!

Donnie Iris rocked Pittsburgh on Saturday night at the Ampitheatre in Station Square. Young and old were in attendance to hear the ex "Jaggerz" star perform once again . It was a stellar performance!

Lovebettie was much better than I expected for an opener and I love the 4 song CD they gave us. The lead singer was very friendly and thanked us for hanging in there for the set. Pop Rocks was OK but not really the venue for young kids. Only the keyboard player looked like she was having fun and should a grade school kid even know what a merch table is? Delaney's were really good, haven't seen Zig perform in a while so very nice unexpected gem of a set. GBE was OK but did not really get me fired up for the next band which I think a support act should do. The drummer makes some funny faces when he plays which bugged the heck out of my drummer daughter! Higbee is a good performer and the band is very versatile. Liked the old PNH wild horses song and the one he wrote for his wife as well. Lots of Charlie Daniels covers which is a good thing to cover if you play the fiddle. On to King Cool. It seemed like halfway through the set before Marty was happy with his equipment. Paul started the set with equipment issues. I almost wished they had stopped and fixed it as I felt bad for Marty trying to play with all the distractions. That being said, a great Donnie show. Loved the new song "Your touch" and Mark's Paul Shaffer impression. Very nutty Mark! Have not seen Kevin drum in ages and haven't seen Donnie sing King Cool in years. Nice to see the set get mixed up a bit. How do you mend it was good live. The encore segue from Rapper to Hush was great!. Ah Leah (that is where thr drummer daughter's name came from) is always my favorite moment and the slowed down version was really nice. I was hoping it would warp into the fast version and it did. Overall, great day of music, good food (a bit expensive) and not as much traffic heading out as I expected. He's King Cool you know, He's alright you know, he's no fool you know. Prove it to the world he's King!! He proved he is King of Pittsburgh and surrounding areas if not the world.

I just came back from what simply was the most satisfying concert I have ever gone too! Donnie Iris and The Cruisers at the "Ribs on The River" bill in Pittsburgh at the Ampitheater on the river was no less than stunning. The show was perfect especially after Donnie laid down on the stage and tapped the security guy on the shoulder and told him to move away and let the folks come up and dance. Donnie motioned for the crowd to come forward and it was a rock and roll dance party for the rest of the night! Donnie who is nearly 67 performs like he is still in his 20's with stamina and a love for the music and the crowd. He did all the crowd favorites and the rib festival made it even better, with award winning rib vendors from all around. I stood right in front of Donnie as he sang and screamed AH LEAH! What more can I say? I am totally content now. Donnie rocks hard! See him wherever you can!

As allways Donnie Iris totally gets it done. Loved the show. Anyone who missed it shame on you.
