I have great respect for Asha Ji and was looking forward to her concert in my town Lynn, Boston. I must say I was disappointed. Show started at 8.30 and finished at 10.15, shortest concert ever. Asha Bhosle appeared to be not well, she said so too. We know well before buying tickets that singer is in 80's but would have been happy if she had shared stories and sang few lines in her melodies voice and let talented back-ups to fill in. But she had her granddaughter as back-up who was not trained and had a bad voice quality. Javed ali was awesome. He is such a talented singer but people were not very familiar with his own songs but he was the only bright spot in the show. Asha Ji should retire respectfully instead of staging farewell concerts every year in a different country. I look forward to Javed Ali's future concerts............

I feel great to be able to attend this event at a venue so close to my residence. Javed Ali had an amazing stage presence and Asha Bhosle's performance gave us goose-bumps! Truly a living legend. We had only one issue with the venue (NJPAC)- since we had seats in the last section of the theatre (balcony), the screen on the stage was partly visible. The theatre's architect probably didn't view the stage from up far behind. Apart from that, the show was worth attending.

Amazing show, felt very nostalgic hearing songs from our golden era. This was my second time attending An Asha Bhosle concert, first time was in Atlantic city in 2008. She had the same charming personality, kept everyone riveted, same golden voice, acknowledged everyone including Bengalis, Marathis, Punjabis etc. Introduced her granddaughter too. Javed Ali was simply brilliant. His sufi rendition 'Kun Faaya' was his best song of the evening. My only wish was Asha Bhosle to have sung a bit more although she sang golden numbers like - yeh mera dil pyaar ka deewana, chura liya hai tumne, jhumka gira re, lag ja gale etc. Its a must go to show, if you are an Asha Bhosle fan!!!

The concert was amazing!! It was really good. I just can't believe how Asha Bhonsle can still have such a beautiful voice and enthusiasm at this age! :-)

She is 76. She looks 60 at the most. Her hair is still jet black (may be dyed, but it doesn t really matter.) She danced like there is no tomorrow…literally. She said, I m in limbo now…not deeply entangled in the worldly existence anymore, but not quite up there either. And when you reach limbo, at least you don t have any inhibition about dancing any longer. She enjoyed her dancing so much, that at rare moments, she overlooked that her voice was cracking because of breathlessness from the dancing. She almost forgot that thousands of fans filled the auditorium to listen to the singing legend that she is, not necessarily to watch her having a good time on stage—dancing, cracking jokes, and just being a diva with the characteristic innocent but starry tantrums. I was at Asha Bhosle s live concert at Cupertino tonight. I already knew that she is a prolific singer, but tonight I learnt that she has recorded 13,000 songs in her career, and counting! I had watched her perform live back in 1998 at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. I was impressed even then when I came to know that she was 65, and still commanded the stage like a young, dynamic performer, who was definitely much more than just a singer. It was simply astonishing to see her tonight after twelve years, as if she has been frozen in time! She looked exactly the same. Her trademark diamond bracelet and the sequins on her brightly-hued saris still gleamed as brightly as they did back then. She is still the vivacious ‘girl whose youth rubs off on you. That she can still sing ‘Piya tu ab to aaja, ‘Chura liya and ‘Mera kuchh samaan with ease was enough for me to sway with her music, overlooking the occasional off-key tonality. I felt the soul of music tonight. The concert was totally worth spending more than half-an hour stuck in traffic trying to find a parking. The boom of the live orchestra resonating within my body, the wild shake-twist by the middle-aged silicon valley techie in my front seat, even Asha s dancing, and her co-artist Sudesh Bhosle s gentlemanly gesture of stealthily stretching his hand in case the singing and dancing diva trips by accident—every little thing worked for me. The ageless Asha almost made me want to believe in next life after this one, if I get to come back with half her talent and energy.

Considering the age Asha Bhosle, she did the best. The program was restricted only to R D Burman's composition and so any public demand was not appreciated. Sudesh Bhosle did great job and performed quite well. There was expection of some mimic items from Sudesh but it wasnt there. Overall I am happy with programme as I get opportunity to see the live performance of legend of India music.

Asha is wonderful a s usual. She is 77(?). Brings her stage and performace to life. She is very lively and an great entertainer. Will always be remembered as a great singer and Indian entertainer Accolades: - Great Orchestra. Maybe overkill in this day and age i.e 4 drummers, 2 organists, 3 Saxophonists and a Conductor!!!!!! Needs work: Presented a 70's only style. Just 2 years ago she moved from 70's to Ultra Modern, her age may be beginning to take its toll, this may be one of the last performances from this great lady?

Asha cannot pull off shows anymore by herself. She is getting old and unable to sing to the level she has established over so many years of her golden career. Sudesh was good but he can only do so much. As usual with Indo-US musical shows sound system was a problem yet again. So beware that audience pays the price of either a poor system or poor preparation/coordination. It was better than Sonu-Nigam but folks who attended Shreya Gosal / Atif did not have this sound system related problems..... :-( Also, Asha and Sudesh must have stated to sing around 9:10pm or so and it got all done by 10:45pm with a 15 min interval. Hence, the Fair rating. Lots of empty seats - some felt it was 1/2 full......

Show was average. Expected a longer show. Show started at 8:15 and ended at 10:45. Although the songs sang were done professionally, for the amount being spent, we expected a little more.

I am giving this a one star rating because That's the minimum. I have great respect and Appreciation for Ashaji, legendary singer and one of a kind in several lifetimes. For her age she it is amazing that she performed. She should have had better backup singers to help her, her granddaughter is very inexperienced and not the best backup. She needs to get back to training her voice. Being of the 80's generation I wasn't aware of Javed's new songs but his retro renditions were just perfect. Awesome singer and saving grace of this very poorly organized and put together concert.

The program was great. I like Asha Bhosale and she was amazing at the age of 82 years. Talat Aziz was good, but you could tell that he's a gazal singer and not really a Bollywood romantic songs singer. In all, it was a great show. I would recommend it.

The legend turns 82.. and she declared this is going to be her last live performance! We witnessed something exceptional. Seeing Asha tai perform for almost 2 hrs 10 mins, at times non-stop back to back was amazing at this age. There were multiple meltdown moments.. being her last show talking about hemant, kishor, rd burman.. all are gone, she said: "I am a strong woman, I don't know why I can't stop crying today..". She handled herself out of it in seconds and back to full form. She does joke a lot too. It was incredible experience of us!

Instead of starting the show at 7:30 it started at 9 and she should have continued it. They should have continued the show at the end for the loss time. Our tickets were about 170 each and 6 of us It wasn't worth out time . We drove from tracy and it was too short . Very disappointed . They were arguing over table seating ! They should have resolved it months before the show !

I am thinking that there is genre called Indian Jazz. What a lovely evening with the Legend. Asha gracefully kept up despite her near approaching age of 80. I was however disappointed in the musicians line where she clearly deserved to be on stage with a larger ensamble with backup singers to fill in the gaps. The drums sound and performance could have enhanced the experience better. Overall her jokes and melody songs were in line with the Jazz festival.

The show was too short (just 2 hours effectively); and the 30-minute dinner break was not required if they planned to wrap up around 10:00. And unfortunately age has caught up with Asha; and she missed out on singing many more RD Burman hits. Did not feel content after the show (unlike the Lata Mangeshkar show 10 years back; that one ran for more than 4 hours).

Venue was great, Asha Bhosle was amazing at first, but kind of got tired after first hour, there were some lack of coordiantion at stage, Sudesh's performance was solid but short, this was tribute to R.D.Burman, so they chose to sing songs only made by R.D Burman, they were good but selection of other sons after intermission would have been great.

Asha Bhosle's concert at the Flint Center was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. It was an R.D. Burman special and Asha sang all the songs she did with R.D. Through out her concert she was sharing the experiences she had working with R.D. and other great musicians like Rafi, Kishore etc. She has a great sense of humor and she is so vivacious.

The show was really nice and entertaining ... it was a treat to watch Asha Bhosle and Sudesh Bhosle perform live. It was fun when Asha Bhosle shared some of her past moments with RD Burman and KKumar and then performed on those numbers. Sudesh Bhosle was fantastic in the way he sung sings of AB, Sanjeev K, Rajesh K. The Marathi crowd got out of hand by the end of the show and Asha Bhosle was forced to sing a Marathi number for them ... she even shushhhhed them many times. I thought the show ended abruptly because some of the members in the crowd misbehaved. Overall a good experience. -MD
